BCCI....

You cant use "India/Indian" directly because they are GOI trademarks.
and BCCI to avoid govt control said they are a private entity

MSM, after the team suddenly started playing as one during 2003 WC.

Team India got a kick in the backside after surrendering to OZ in the group stages, that apart, Silly Sidhu and co went hammer and tongs at the players which further dented the H&D of the team.
The 2003 team had a much better bowling attack than this one particularly considering the conditions in SA. Zak got over exited and sprayed the ball around so much that he conceded 18 runs in the first over in the final and handed the initiative to the OZs

IIRC there is flexibility in which QF will be held where to allow the home team play in front of home crowd (and allow ICC to rake in the moolah)

AUS, NZ, TSP, SL whoever it may be TI will have to play out of their skin to progress to SF. Very tough onlee.

^^ Not much. India > SL > BD in terms of pre-tournament seeding. So Ind vs SL will happen in Motera, it cannot happen in SL. India vs others could happen at Motera? Or will it go to plan as is and be scheduled for Mirpur? In any case, Ind vs Pak QF is a one in six possibility, and a highly unrealistic one at that.

stan, you will notice that CI for example doesn't list the actual teams by group ranking in their QF schedule, so I think I am correct on this. http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket ... wcfixtures

is there any official schedule that mentions that A1 V B4 has to happen at dhaka ?

Wiki says so, so do many other unofficial schedules. These guys could nt have got all this from thin air. Perhaps there were two versions from the icc idiots after the hosts interceded on the stupidity of the knockout phase and moolah issues. From what I can dig, must have happened around Feb-mid or so http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket ... 01561.html

Hmmm....in order for that to happen, so many planets, satellites, asteroids and comets would have to align no?

Saar, in reltivistic world of rookies, bookies and us brookies (we brook all this tamasha), space itself is curved only. Hence, any alignment however implausible it may seem at first glance to us brookies can suddenly move from impossible to inevitable only. Why suddenly, you ask? Well, coz time too is curved you see.....

India will play all their knockout matches in India irrespective of their opponents. Sri Lanka will play in Sri Lanka unless they play India and Bangladesh will play in Bangladesh unless they are playing either Sri Lanka or India.

As SwamyG said, the media and the Kaptaan have unnecessarily hyped Aswin. Very unfair.

SA 284/8 in 50 overs. Can bongbondhus chase it down and kick the brit-pakis out ?

I dont want that. We need the brit-pakis to perhaps counter the actual pakis or the gora pakis from down under in the quarters. BDs are still ajoke ans stand no chance of going beyond the quarters.

White Pakis and Blown Pakis are at it... Can't decide whom to support... NOT!!!
Still Ponting bugger was clearly out and he knew it, and despite that got into a tiff with the Blown Pakis...
So far 78 for 2.

Aus doesnt look like a team that can stand the heat. kind of like upg Mirage-2k in an era of rafales and eurofighters. useful, but not dominant against high quality oppn*.

* does not include TI
