P0rnting will cheat his way to another century now. That bhajji ball was o-so-clear out. Does the umpyre get penalized for wrong decisions even w/o review??

Did you see that they stole 2 runs by just hitting it into the hands of the man on the edge of the circle.

Sehwag's second innings record is not good. I will rely on GG, VK & Dhoni to take us.
If this award winning batting line can't chase, then we deserve Pawar & IPL.

India is going to rue Dhoni's faith in people like Nehra, Munaf, Piyush Chawla who cannot deliver. Picking friends over performers!

Munaf is not the bowler for Indian conditions. He does well in England, SA or Aus conditions as it helps seamers. Sreesanth can definately bring in more energy to the team.

If TI gets this total then we should definately be the favs to win the cup as no other team has chased 250+ in a difficult pitch to win

SA did chase 298 but the conditions were far too good for batting in Bengaluru

I have no hopes... if munna can't open bowling, wtf he is there for? dhoni is trying one strike two players falling policy. he is mean. On failure, both munna and ashwin will be dispatched to bench.

I may have hopes on kohli and bhojraj, and perhaps gambhir to plod. The struggle begins.

back to anti jinx.

btw, Those who hate sreesanth seek confession for their sins.

Looks like White pakis have this match in the bag, I think they should relax in the feild this match is beyond India's grasp.

The groundsmen should alter the Aussie bowler runups by 6 inches during the break.

The ball boys should touch the balls with wet hands so that the Ball gets soggy.

Some thoughts for India to chase this humungous Totally.

This SDRE is totally shivering in his Dhoti in a dark corner.

Ponting played really well for the pitch. Very few boundaries, mostly singles. Since this was not a big ground the chances to convert ones into twos were limited, which helped TI.

If Ponting had been taken early, the Aussies would have struggled. Even 225 would have been tough on this pitch for a team of stroke-players. He really held the innings together.

TI bowling was good but it lacks penetration. Very few if any, wicket taking deliveries. Most dismissals were due to the batsmen pushing it on a tough pitch. Ashwin was quite impressive. Bhajji's 5 freebies in the last over were unacceptable for a person with his experience. This was a pitch where every run had to be earned so there was no need to get fancy. TI fielding was reasonable; no howlers.

India needs at least two players to bat 20 overs, and keep the runs coming. Keeping the strike rotating is going to be the key to this chase.

261 atleast is not outrageous which 300+ would been. keeping the big bad wolves quiet in last 5 overs was no mean feat.

Now all TI batsmen need to do is apply themselves, 261 is getable.

All our guys tend to choke heavily in second innings. Dhoni is hopelessly out of form, and there is no Yusuf. Who do you think can make all these runs. Agreed Raina does tend to plod around on flat wickets, but Sehwag etc tend to go in first over itself. There is no hope here,

And thus the convicts struck down the pagans, with grave vengeance and furious anger!
And the pagan shalt fall to the ground, convulsing in his own blood, while the convict of broad shoulder stand proud and upright, holding the broad sword that dripped with the blood of the lowly fallen dark creature!

But friends tell me Sehwag has not been doing well against Aussie. This calls for sensible cricket, not getting bogged down nor rash cricket. Keeping 4.25 rr for the fist 20 overs without a loss of a single wicket will do a lot to the confidence of the rest and of course BRFites.

We saved at least 15 runs in our fielding. Good kaptaani by Dhoni so far. We did not allow them to pile 300+; most of the time we bowled well except few lose deliveries. But then we were not bowling to some Somali Pirates, we were bowling to one a good cricket team, albeit not as great as in the past years.
Sab log, give yourselves a huge pat for the performance so far. Now it is up to our much heralded batting line up. Cool heads will take the match away from Aussies.
