I see a lot of chest thumping from both Indians and Pakis. Saw a few comments on Ricky Ponting's comments by pakis, quite amusing. Their jealousness with the IPL, India's money etc. is hard for them to hide.
Like:
Ricky ! I know you want to play IPL in India , thats why India is going to win???
His statement is more commercial than reality. India always cracks in front of Pakistan. They prepare dead pitches to counter our bowling attack. They will do the same this time. But this will give chance to Pakistani players to expose Indian attack. Respect Zaheer and crush the rest. This should be our policy.

Actually keeping their jealousy factor will lose focus on performance. It is a good thing to have for now.

I am extremely concerned on Zhak support for semis and finals. This is the week point from both fielding (50 odd runs) etc. Say a bowler gives away 50 runs, and then fails to take catches, and further gives 50 more from bad fielding, then only Gawd can save us.

chinmayanand.. did you create all those pics? awesome dude.

Funnily enough I've heard (and shouted) this one at Wankhede regardless of who India is playing at the time. Whether it is the aussies or WI, anti-pakistan curses are a must there.

There were more such.. err.. creative ones. When BB was the paki PM, the one the crowds had come up with (and I remember being shouted even during the 2001 Ind-Aus test match  ) was "Pakistan me thandi hai, Benazir r***i hai!"

Am told it doesn't even take much in terms of equipment required etc for this now. And the toxic waste that is commentary by Manjrekar, shastri etc also hugely helps matters.

I honestly dislike the idea of making senior dignitaries and state heads watch this. It only adds to extra pressure and takes out the glamor out of cricket and may also end up distracting team.

That cockroach MSI and bakara b$%&ch made my throw up as expected. Note the slimy bit of propaganda. MSI accusing BD of hystrionics over 26/11. The slime and the b%^&*ch know that they have been as pro-Paki as anyone can get, and yet by accusing her of histrionics, he thinks he is giving her credibility. Kind of owning up to a small misdemeanour so no questions asked about the actual crime.

^I think we are stopping the boundaries better than munna in GDF. But I do see admins have not used UDRS or people bothered to ask for review, accepting the general understanding that we are self correcting to an extent. Of course, certain times, what we write may not be what we have thought. Just like those sixes slipping off munna's hands.

It says how Pakistan bowlers are using black marble stone to practice pin pointed bodyline bowling coz mohali pitch is as smooth as marble where ball after pitching comes very fast on to body.

Black marble usage in nets is innovative.

I was watching the bowl out from first T20 world cup. Look at the 3 balls bowled by Pak bowlers (from 2:20). Somehow it looks suspicious to me. They were not at all aiming at stumps. Could be a case of spot fixing.

cool down CRS. Go easy with the abuses. We give leeway to members once in a while but don't take undue advantage. And everyone else, this is cricket thread, Indo Pak strategic chest thumping, navel gazing, self flagellation, Congress bashing etc. is best done in the TSP thread. Dhanyawad.

Well, any pitch made out of regular earth can't be as dense as a rock. Marble may bounce more than any possible hardened earth, or perhaps even never swing at all.

Partha you are reading too much into what is business as usual for Bakis i.e. Fck Up. That piece of marble/granite is imho for batting practice i.e. you need not have to ask your front-line bowlers to run in and bend their backs in order to feed fast balls to the batsman for that takes a toll on the pacemen, people can just stand and hit the hard and skiddy surface and generate enough pace all day and hence everyone in the team gets to practice without putting too much stress on the key players. TI used to do the same by practicing with the plastic ball.

negiji, yeah may be I am reading too much into it. Just felt that bowlers were not even aiming at the stumps.
Talking of innovative practice, Ganguly practiced with a wet tennis ball before his Brisbane 100 when he was out of form.

I always felt there is nothing like a wet rubber ball to learn to play short and quick balls. Skids rapidly and stings like a bee! Loved playing with those.
