Wasn't SRK who invited all TI players and pakis after TI's win in the first T20 WC and hosted a filmy "Chak De Yaar"?
where he openly proclaimed that his father was from Lahore and Mother for India....

So, when both the teams play against each other he is never disappointed because if the Pakis win then his father's side have won else his mother's side...(Personally I wish his father had stayed on the other side)

That's some convulated logic for you.....will try and find a youtube link of that program

One needs to watch out for Chucktar, he has nothing to lose and will revert to his original chucking action. IIRC, he chucked one at Ross Taylor when he was being taken to the cleaners. The Chuck is a shock weapon and might be difficult for a new batsman to deal with.

Actually speaking MMS might have done something chankian.. in the sense, a high tension event would be eased with some high profile bijits from bhakis in that he might have smothered some ied mubarrak signals.

That's exactly what I'm saying. He is peddling a lot of bhai-bhai stuff and since he is a role model for a lot of youngistanis, it can't be good news for the country.

Can't comment on his integrity...but as you mentioned earlier, he has a lot of commercial reasons for this bhaichaara and pappi/jhappi's

Khan saab is all bhai-bhai with the Paki players and lets no chance go by to loudly proclaim that his waalid is from Pakistan and his 'Ammi' is from Hindustan. So he tries to be a bridge between the two countries gushing with love for Shoaib Akhtar and other Pakis. This match is one place where he cannot say "both should win" since a tie is unlikely and I think there are rules in case there is a tie.

Aamir Khan used to be a jingoistic India supporter, even going to England during the 1999 WC and was seen waving the India flag in the stadiums with fans. Then he got middle of the road lately, talking about Islam and stuff more than necessary. Wonder what the deal with him is.

One thing in Pakroaches favour

They have 2 bowlers amongst the top 3 wicket takers in the cup, if one analyses the 99, 2003 and 2007 WC one can see that there were 2 Aussies amongst the top 3 wicket takers. Their weakness is their batting

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi's younger brother Mushtaq Afridi found himself stranded at the Wagah border today as he attempted to enter India to watch the high-profile World Cup semi-final between the arch-rivals in Mohali on Wednesday (March 30).

Mushtaq, himself a first class cricketer and dashing batsman like his brother, was stopped at the Wagah border by the authorities here as he did not have proper documentation for his match-ticket.

In this context, it would be pertinent to note what Sunil Gavaskar, himself a mumbaikar, had to say on a talk show when he was asked whether Pakistan would lose the semi-final.

He said, "I doubt whether Pakistan would lose the Mohali game; Pakistanis have a special fascination for Mumbai. They keep sneaking into Mumbai by whatever route they can find and which is available. So I would not be surprised if they do it again and reach Mumbai again."

Certainly a hard hitting left hand drive from the little master who comes from a city where the wounds of 2008 carnage have still not healed, a fact which Dr Singh seems to have forgotten about.

Do not take his retirement announcement seriously as he has already retired twice in the past. Once he played an Ashes test match in England and was clobbered by the English batsmen after which he took temporary retirement from all forms of cricket. Then after a few months he made a comeback. Then after he played a test match against India and was hammered at Perth he went into depression and announced retirement from test cricket. Then when he started bowling well he said that he was considering a comeback to test cricket. Now that he has had a bad world cup he has announced his retirement from one day cricket. So dont take him seriously guys as he might just change his mind again :-)

I am in the same situation. :(( I watched only two matches from start to finish in this WC. India vs England and India vs SA. We committed hara kiri in both. I watched all other matches in bits and pieces. During the WI match, I switched off the stream when WI were cruising and I felt the game was lost. Then they collapsed. I watched the Indian innings in the QF till Dhoni got out, after which I felt we didn't have much of a chance. When I switched it on again, we had almost won.

It seems me watching an India match is a bigger panauti than Dilbullah saying that we will win in this dhaaga. :P

Consider removal of word 'India' from cricket grounds: HC to BCCI
The Allahabad High Court has directed the Union Government and BCCI to consider a complaint regarding writing the word 'India' on the ground where cricket World Cup matches are being held.

A Lucknow division bench comprising Justices Pradeep Kant and Ved Pal passed this order on a writ petition filed by a local NGO seeking direction for removal of word 'India' from the cricket match grounds.

The petitioner argued it was against the nation's honour.
what is the meaning of this?
I do not understand this. :(( :((
It will be fun if thee is an ad like say- Indian cements- will it be removed.
An Indian has painted himself in tiranga or has words Indian on him- will he be removed.
why not entire Indians have to be removed including Indian cricketers as all have 'India' inbuilt in them. :rotfl:
crap case.

SRK grandfather was a freedom fighter in Peshawar. When India got independence in 1947 he moved to India from Peshawar. His reason for moving to India was that he was Indian freedom fighter and had fought for Indian independence and thus wanted to live in independent India.

Hats off to his grandfather, he was a true Indian.

The signs are all there. The early age stress fractures are the scars of any genuinely quick bowler, if Pakistan bowling coach Aaquib Javed is to be believed. “The positives of getting a stress fracture at an early age for a quick bowler is that once the player has recovered, he will only grow from strength to strength as his body develops. That’s what I told Mohammad Amir when he recovered. Any great bowler that Pakistan has produced has dealt with it early in life,” says Javed.
