There are Americans inside. USG does not want Americans to see more body bags from Pakistan. Definitely not on a weekend. Let American public have a victory feeling till it lasts.
Who ever has planned this attack deserves a accolade from BRF. If there was a award BRF ratna this guy sure deserves it!
There are no Americans personnel there hence there is no coverage by US media but there are reports of chinese military personnel being held hostage Chinese media is all over it. Besides the big story in CNN right know is tornados.

If there are Chinese inside the biratherly Pakis will clear out the area in no time.

Chinese respect Pakistani culture and know that Pakis must not eat the flesh of one's own ancestors - so they don't eat pork. And Pakistanis take great care to teach the Chinese about their culture.

If I knew OBL was in Abbottabad and Americans have knowledge of it and they might try to snatch him, I would definately try to make the area around Abbottabad more alert. Normal nations would conduct drills and more drills to keep the personnel on alert. Pakistan however has a twisted way to keep the alert status. If there was a raid on Kakul academy on May 1, there would be significant change in plans to conduct any operation in Abbottabad.
My point being, if this was a show planned at the highest table, they choose Karachi for a reason. There could be a High Value Target near Karachi and Pakis know khans are watching and want to snatch some one. Obama has been vocal about possibility of conducting such a raid again if Pakis wont cooperate.

IMO, they are waiting for some orders from SD on how to spin this. Free media, my as$.

Hari Seldon wrote:Henry Kissassinger talks to Simon Schama (FT)

Some relevant portions to this dhaga...
Kissinger laughs even as he sketches a scenario for an Afghanistan even grimmer than anything anyone has yet imagined, where the presence or absence of al-Qaeda will be the least of its problems. What might happen, he says, is a de facto partition, with India and Russia reconstituting the Northern Alliance, and Pakistan hooked to the Taliban as a backstop against their own encirclement.

Suddenly, spring goes chilly. The prospect looms of a centennial commemoration of the first world war through a half-awake re-enactment. Not Belgium but Sarajevo. Think proxy half-states; the paranoia of encirclement; the bristling arsenals, in this case nuclear; the nervous, beleaguered Pakistanis lashing out in passive-aggressive insecurity. “An India-Pakistan war becomes more probable. Eventually,” says the Doctor, his voice a deep pond of calm. “Therefore some kind of international process in which these issues are discussed might generate enough restraints so that Pakistan does not feel itself encircled by India and doesn’t see a strategic reserve in the Taliban.” He looks directly at me. “Is it possible to do this? I don’t know. But I know if we let matters drift this could become the Balkans of the next world war.”

Don’t say history and Henry Kissinger didn’t warn you.
More pak-appeasement vomit. Why not the obvious course - of bankrupting pak by declaring it a terrorist state and then letting the law take its own course, I wonder.

Much as Kissinger needs respect as a former leader - his views are outdated and in addition he has lost it.

America's cold war victory - for which I am sure Kissinger feels he is partly responsible was, in retrospect a pyrrhic victory when you find that the American taxpayer of today is paying for that victory. Kissinger's assessment of Af-Pak inthat interviews is debatable at best. We are suppose to accept it because Kissinger says so and the author is in awe of the man (having been a former critic)

Kissinger says that the US will withdraw and Afghanistan will split into two parts with the souther part in Pakistani control and a Norther Aliance part in combined Russian-Indian control. What is Kissinger smoking? Can anyone who follows events in this day and age erach such a delusional conclusion?

I mean OK if you are American you may want to "respect" this old man and all. Won;t look good to show him disrespect in Khanland. But I dont; think I need to have any such sentiment. The man is blabbering.

Our Prime Minister, David Cameron, said recently that the problem was that Pakistan was looking both ways on terrorism. He got into a little bit of trouble for it, but he was right, wasn't he?

PRESIDENT OBAMA:
Well, I think what Prime Minister Cameron understands, as I understand, is that Pakistan has been very obsessed with India. They see that as their existential threat. I think that's a mistake. Part of what we're trying to do is to talk to them about how they can reorient their strategy so that they understand that the biggest threat to Pakistan and its stability is homegrown.
And that if we don't go after these networks that are willing to blow up police stations, blow up crowds of people, assassinate Pakistani elected officials with impunity, if they don't get a handle on that then they're going to see a significant destabilization of the country.
Coming from US president (as opposed to a "South Asia expert" this is a significant statement

PNS Mehran has Orion P3C (2), Atlantique and Fokker aircraft and Alouette plus Sea King helicopters. It sure looks like they were adding Chinese assets (aircraft, nukes?) if Chinese technicians are indeed hostages. The assault on Paki Armed Forces Ech and Dee is now probably approaching the post 1971 war level.

So the Pakis are taking their deeper than ocean friends deep into the ocean.. :((
Till now it was the U.S that paid the Pakis and got back more terror. Now time for payback to the Chinese. The rule is simple. Whoever is associated with Pakistan will lose in the long run. Now it seems the time is getting reduced. So whoever is associated with Pakistan in any manner will get the taste of the friendship within a short period of time.
So taller than mountain, deeper than ocean briend China, get your Yuan ready, be are phyting the terrorists. Pay us the Maney.

KiyaNahi with his hand inside in his pants and doing a job there. :rotfl: :rotfl: Or John Curry puts a hand inside KiyaNahi's pants and doing inside job. That's all I can imagine and make me laugh so loud.

Man! Chicoms now will run with their tails between their legs. They now figure out that they are not dealing with N.Korea here. This is sh1tstan where God even can't figure who is on whose payroll and who is on whose side. I hope some top Chicom Engineers kicked the big bucket.

They used a single explosive to destroy. It could only take two at a time.

I think the longer beard that is teaching a lesson to shorter ones in ongoing training session in PNS mehran is just returning favour. We know that paki terrorists that carried out 26/11 were trained by Paki navy in navigation etc and launched from Karachi its fair to conclude that the training must have had happened in naval base ergo the longer beards knew how to get access to the same and are just inside now so demonstrate how to carry out explosion etc.

wasn't it predicted on BeeRF that Pakistan would soon conduct an attack on it's armed forces sensitive installations in order to regain the sympathy & 'Pakistan is suffering from terrorism' moral high ground after Abottabad ?

Navy being weakest of Pakistani triad may also have given added impetus for operation to be directed against it.

PN had Orion P3's for many years. Two were updated with latest electronics etc.(I believe 8 of them will be of the latest version) and handed to PN recently. Hopefully these two have met their 72's

For the last 12 years, his mother has been worshiping at a shrine she has made of her son - with his pictures, uniform and a temple bell. She has been praying for justice for her son and his regiment jawans' brutal torture.

Tail-oiler and Dipper fliend forgot that if you lie with Poak, you wake up coverd with snorts. When these freeddom fighters punish the Chinese hostages , PA have to do another Laal Masjad Gubo and face the blowback which no amout of BJ can pacify the ire of Purest among the Pures. IMHO, the real action will start if Chinese loose their men in this main inaugural event of the next phase of GOAT.
