Afghans change their story, but it still spells disaster for the paki H&D.
I've no sympathy for Mullah Mohammed Omar, but the Mullah has been guest or captive of the Pakistani Establishment for the last 10 years, and he would be acutely aware of the Pakistani thought processes. He must have felt how he has been sidelined by the ISI in favor of the Haqqani group, and how his name has been used by the ISI to control the Taliban in his absence.

Today he may not have the resources, but he has a name respected among the cadre, enough to cause the Taliban to turn against the ISI. Should he publicly denounce Pakistan for its sins and align with Karzai, he could very much harm the Pakistani state, and may be even unite the Pushtunistan forces for independence.

I just returned from a short break to pakhanistan (where I do some of my thinking) and then it hit me. At that brief moment, I then realized the significance of this statement by the esteemed paki minister. Its not a typical case of the more pure decimating the less pure. Many examples abound. According to the above statement by the minister, it is now becoming a case of the less pure (or not pure enough, judging by their appearance) eradicating the more pure (the paki army/navy/air force). Diabolical, eh?

Sorry if posted before, caught my eye:

From the screaming headline:
CHINA ULTIMATUM TO AMERICA: “ANY ATTACK ON PAKISTAN WOULD BE CONSTRUED AS AN ATTACK ON CHINA”

According to Pakistani diplomatic sources cited by the Times of India, China has “warned in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China

Would be interesting to see how "puree" Chechens living amongst the "puree" Porkis react to the butchering of their fellow birathers by Porkis a few days ago. The killing of pregnant woman was ghastly to put it mildly, Porkis seem to be losing a lot of friends lately (a consequence of their own skewed ways)

Shivji,

I'd like your thoughts on this aspect of the game. Can the foreign foot solders be used as pawns against Porki establishment in case the holier than thou Abduls unite and back the TSPA gernails and kernails?

Also came across this interesting piece of information about Khorasan and Al-Quaida's itch in their musharraf's.

Now our focus will shift to Chicago, where the trial of Rana begins tonight. Headley having struck a deal with the court to "tell all". The gory details of the ISI complicity in the 26/11 attacks will hopefully be exposed.

In all this rather complicated scenario for Pakistan, I hope we are prepared in case the PA makes a lunge for India.

Their cup of woes spilleth over and as history has proved shifting attention to their eastern borders is their convoluted version of trying to wriggle their way out.

But a bludy nose they will get if they try it!

The Attackers were dressed like character from STARWARS
All terrorists killed in Navy base operation: Rehman Malik
Published: May 23, 2011

Malik talks to the media after PNS Mehran operation in Karachi.

KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that 10 people have been martyred and four terrorists have been confirmed killed in the operation between militants and security forces at the PNS Mehran base.

Talking to the media after a survey of the PNS Mehran base in Karachi, Malik said security forces launched a coordinated operation to regain control of the navy base.

“We wanted to bring all the logistics under one command against the enemy,” said Malik, adding that navy forces were assisted by commandos, firemen, Rangers and police.

He said that among the six terrorists present at the site, one suicide bomber’s head had been recovered, while four bodies were also found. He added, however, that two individuals were seen running off the base.

Malik mentioned that one terrorist, whose picture was shown, was ready to blow himself up.

The interior minister mentioned that the terrorist’s suicide jacket was still operational and there were several undetonated grenades on the site as well, adding that there might be explosives in the building which collapsed.

The terrorists had been using heavy weaponry, said Malik, “the kind no common man can afford to buy”.

He said the terrorists had to be receiving support and equipment from somewhere.

Malik said the terrorists were wearing “western clothes, had small beards and three of them had sharp features”.

He said two of the attackers look to be around 22 years of age and one of the suicide bombers was around 25 years of age. He said they were dressed in black clothes “like they do in movies”.

‘They were dressed like Star Wars characters,’ said Malik.

Joint investigation team formed

Malik said an investigation team led by the navy has been formed and will include members from the FIA, police, Rangers and other intelligence units. Malik said that team has been asked to file the report as soon as possible.

He added that terrorists were planning attacks on sensitive installations and army institutions, and that names of several officials who they were planning on attacking had come forward.

The interior minister said there was a chance the terrorists might carry out another operation.

Special tribute

“I want to pay special tribute to martyred Lieutenant Yasir, who gave up his life and saved valuable lives and assets,” Malik added.

He also acknowledged the services of the firemen and other security personnel who lost their lives.

“We are fighting a war against a cunning enemy,” said Malik, urging people to condemn those trying to destabilise Pakistan.

Foreigners present, but safe

Malik confirmed that six Americans and 11 Chinese citizens were present at PNS Mehran when the terrorists took over.

“The foreigners were all evacuated from the base. They were training our men about these aircrafts.”

Dharna disfavour

Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s sit-in on Sunday, Malik said that Rangers’ attention had been diverted from sensitive targets and deployed at the dharna site.

“Please have mercy on Pakistan. Do not divert attention of Rangers, police and intelligence agencies. Please do dharnas when your county can bear it,” said Malik.

Why is it that i am not willing to take this attack at its face value, what i mean is that it looks like the whole thing is a big staged drama so that they can pass on the sensitive electronics of P3-c's to its taller than mountains and deeper than ocean friend china. porki army is to kill its own kind to further their cause, they did the same with the inventory of stinger missiles after the afghan war and now with P3-c's.
All of this happening in with within days of China declaring that any attack on porkis is attack on china.

So the incorrect pictorial depiction by LiveFist of Indian Spec-Ops taking out David Abraham in Karachi caused more than usual browning of TSPN shalwars, so much so that they were unable to even load their rifles to fire at the pure momeen.

So the psy-ops actually has had some kind of delayed/prolonged action effect. Chaos theory, butterfly wing-flapping causing rain in Tokyo and all that.

One possible outcome is that the horse's stable has been ravaged and burnt down, so the horse will not be able to reside at this stable again, the reasons being 1. Poakis are out of money to construct a new stable 2. Even if a new stable is constructed, it will not be safe enough for the horse (David Abraham).

So ShyamD's theory of D being shifted to KSA a few days ago was pretty accurate indeed.

no, there is too much hnd loss with the raid, chinis already have a P3 (forced down in hainan) and they would have flown with their shorter and shallowed friends on missions to play with the gadgets and plenty of photocopies would have been made. be interesting to see what editorials from beijing make of all this...

Its not hard to build a button in place which erases every trace of software on the Hainan P3-Oron, which can be pressed either physically or remotely.

Note how the great PA is keeping its distance from this attack?

And as for the MO incident, no one except the Pakis and Tali wallahs are denying it outright. Everyone else is saying "don't know" or "unconfirmed". May be MO has slipped out knowing he was going to be an imminent goat sacrifice.

According to the detailed press brief by the Interior Minister -

6 attackers - 2 killed, 1 suicide (head recovered), 1 maybe dead (suspected), 2 escaped
Security Forces - 10 dead, 15 injured
Planes - 2 damaged (1 Orion + 1 ????)
Foreigners - 17 escorted to safety (6 americans + 11 chinese) - as per what he said 'the foreiners' were doing maintainance on the Orion (Chinese & US working together ?????)
Security lapse as intruders entered thro a point not covered by cameras from the backside of the base thro a sewer pipe

THEN I GOT IT !!!!!!!! why the attack was so successful ............

THE ATTACKERS ENTERED THROUGH THE SEWER PIPE IN THE BACKSIDE

As per standard policy there is no restriction or questions asked on such entries (whether it's the nation, it's bases.or citizens )- just to say 'ji huzoor and bend over the barrel :)

Chewy Baca?

Meanwhile Nightwatch comments:

Nightwatch 22 May 2011
Pakistan: The Pakistan Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on 21 and 22 May on Pakistan Naval Station Mehran in Karachi, as vengeance for the killing of bin Laden. More than ten attackers penetrated the base and detonated seven explosions. Four naval personnel were killed and nine injured, plus two US-provided P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft were destroyed.

Chinese engineers reportedly were working at the air base when the attack occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. local time, sources said. US personnel at the naval air station were reported unharmed.

Comment: On 13 May a Pakistani Taliban attack on a paramilitary police academy killed 80 people, also to avenge the death of bin Laden. This is the second attack against the navy in Karachi in a month. In late April two naval buses were bombed killing four naval personnel and injuring 50.

Pakistan naval security appears incompetent. Like the Rawalpindi garrison attack in 2009, this attack almost certainly had inside help.

The Pakistani Taliban is targeting the Pakistani government for cooperating with the US and for not preventing the death of bin Laden, which it sees as the same thing. These appear to be the opening attacks in a campaign to discredit the elected government, assuming the Pakistani Taliban are following Ayman Zawahiri's guidance. A few more attacks will clarify the attack plan.

During this Watch, news services reported continuing gunfire at the base on the morning of 23 May.

here's a CT for you - unkil and dragon were jointly de-fanging the TSPA's primary nuke delivery vehicle - al Jabbar when the PN decided to black-flag themselves to preserve H&D. To deflect attention, a pro-taliban group called "Asian Buffalo's" using hindu Bengali front men (obvious really - mahishashur rides on buffalo) claimed responsibility

mark my words, this shall come to pass...
