Entire AP is made a mad house mainly by TV fellows. Other than projecting useless quarals there is no work for them. No politico giving useless statements is being challenged by Telugu Tv fellows. The worst the statement the more times it will be repeated.

TV media has become a monster unto themselves.

Yesterday there was a rape in Hyderabad; News/Media called it a gang rape in day time. It later turned out to be a rape by the girls boyfriend. The girl went to church with her mother and came out to meet the boy in the car and got raped before being dropped in front of a hospital.

Whole AP state is running after some western lifestyle system; that is proven to be disastrous in west itself. Too much emphasis on economics/wealth creation :P Hopefully Bharat learns at AP's cost.

most of if it repeatitions. I think the result in the elections for 5 assemblies and more improtantly the result in Jagan's election will be having some effect on the decision on division as it will give some political indication to the SG creminal gang. But I think by now their mind not to divide. no principles involved of course. SKC failed to give them a reason for division other than feeling. I think that is not enough to proceed with the division. In any event by 15th we shall have presidents rule in AP.

Most unfortunate thing that has happend in the resent past in AP is the increasing of caste identity. With every election, agitations caste leaders are getting more media covarage than their actual support. Chiru openly brought it into political parties.

In education and jobs reservations are there in AP for OBCs since decades. So there is no reservation agitation in AP. But with the loot in politics increasing people are creating all kind of mobalisation points and Chirus caste (oops we should call it social justice) point is also the same. When it does not work out he jumped in the Congress. Suddenly all kind of caste based organisations have come into being and making all kinds of vaco demends. For example Katti Padma Rao demands that Sathya Sai Baba trust should be taken over adn the funds be used for Dalits. I wonder what right he has to make such demands. But no one has attacked him for making such statement. I suppose it is politically in correct to do so. It is tragically funny to see Bramins forming caste organisations and doing rubbish things. This is the down turn in political and social life of telugu people and the early it is reversed the better.

A funny thing that has happened in the Telugu media is the replacement of the word, caste (kulam) with the phrase, social grouping (saamaajika vargam). This was probably initiated by TV9 with its slogans, "kulam venukabaatutanaaniki nidarsanam" & "kulam godalu kulcheddam", but for all that, there has been no change in the ground realities. It is only a matter of semantics!

I do not think caste is such a powerful bond in AP as it is made out to be. At least it neven used to be while I was taking part in the elections directly. Till 99 that is. There are reservations for BC's since long time and as such there is no caste based mobilisation scope. When all the caste mobalisations taking place in BIMARU areas further destroying them, AP under CBN and YSR taken steps towards industrial, service sector growth. With lot lot and lot of corruption. I think this has created a new kind of asparations in the people.

One of the worst things Chiranjivi done is the introduction of caste politics openly in the name of social justice. Even then it is very much doubtful how many people voted to him on his caste based politics.

the new theme in AP politics is special groupings for everybody: kammas, kapus, velamas, reddys, madigas, lambadas, chenchus, etc etc. very soon Brahmins will open their own group and join with one of the political affilitations. so basically population is being neatly divided into small groups where you could be living next door to each other, but you still can't identify with a common set of interests!!!

the karma based 4 division caste system (which has mostly become defunct now), is being replaced by a 20 or 30 division "Kula" system.
Kulamization of the social arena. that is the new direction in AP...

there are broader implications of this also. division of labor is a critical aspect that is likely to suffer. the new system does not focus on labor division. it is a movement born out of base opportunism. if everybody wants a reservation, then qualified candidates will remain out and unqualified ones will definitely get in.

the basic underlying assumption with reservations is that everybody has the same aspirations in life. it is a gross exaggeration. it equates the wishes and ambitions of all the people, from various backgrounds, as being one and the same. it also enforces the belief that expertise in various fields is linearly dependent on "money" alone. even that assumption is not enforced, b/c money is not really a criterion. it's blood lines that are the criteria.

the entire reservations agenda is a very useful tool to channel the population's energy in a "controlled release" way where important/tough questions are not asked b/c people are too busy trying to make straw man models of every other Kulam group....it's a very good mechanism to control a population. it channels the "revolutionary" spirit in a self defeating direction, but terms it as "progressive."

has anybody done any research on how Arjun Singh got the inspiration to light this fuse 20 years ago? for that matter, even other politicians and leaders who were involved should be investigated about their affiliations and close contacts. the whole thing feels like a carefully designed Socio-psychological experiment. i wish i had the deep knowledge about Indian politics and various people from that day and age...it will be very interesting to figure out how they came up with the "nuts and bolts" of the system.

Sonia begins cold-shouldering of Chiru
Realisation has finally dawned upon Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi on the Congress style of politics. He is reconciled to the fact that Congress president Sonia Gandhi does not want any individual to grow in the party independently, which is why YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to walk out of the 126-year old party.

Chiranjeevi, who was summoned to New Delhi urgently a day after the polling in Kadapa by-elections, was shocked to know that he had no appointment with Sonia Gandhi. And when he met her political advisor Ahmed Patel and AICC incharge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, they hardly evinced any interest in the merger of the PRP with the Congress.

When Chiranjeevi brought to their notice that he was planning to hold a big rally in Tirupati to announce the merger and invite Sonia or Rahul Gandhi for the same, both the top leaders in the Congress high command rejected the proposal. “Sonia does not like such shows. We will formally announce the merger at the AICC office or in Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, by offering you Congress khanduwas. There is no need for such a show-put up,” they told him quietly.

A shocked Chiranjeevi tried to convince them, but they did not entertain his idea much. Dejected by the response, the PRP president quietly walked out and expressed his displeasure before his party colleagues. Perhaps, he might have had a couple of drinks more last night!
As long as people support weak kneed scoundrels and corrupt goon gangs such as Mulyam/Amar Singh, Sonia can run the show by aligning with one group or the other. Hope this serves as a lesson to these parties which align in short term with CON DIE-nasty. They are ruined for ever.

In 1986 Pawar and his party rejoined the Indian National Congress.
Ahmed Patel and Azad are shrewd people. They have drawn the right lessons from the failed Congress (S) merger with INC in 1986.. The upstart Pawar was inducted in INC with great fanfare by RG. They do not want to repeat the same mistake again....these managers have long memories....do not want another upstart challenger roiling the party from within. JMT.

Looks like unlike real movements, T-movement works like a on-off switch. Power-players switched off for 2 months and soon after elections were over they're turning it on.

Now with Jagan victory there is triple attack on TDP on the work from Jagan, Congress, and TRS parties.

Tv9 - Telangana protests will rage from June - Raghunandan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8s-UqpwIkk

Now we need a software help to understand N scenarios and who is in bed with who for events that will happen.

* Jagan+TDP to overthrow Congress
* TDP+Congress to limit Jagan in non-T
* Jagan+TRS or Congress+TRS should Jagan goes T way
* Congress+TRS should Jagan is neutral to T. i.e. Jagan, TDP, Congress are neutral to T
* Jagan+Congress+TRS to screw TDP
* Congress+TRS in T and Congress+Jagan in non-T

* New voting bloc possibilities - Jagan pulls Reddies and SCs, TDP pulls Kammas and BCs, Congress pulls Kapus and SCs, TRS pulls (in T) Velamas and BCs

The plot thickens....

PTI reports....
Telangana upheaval brews as Cong procrastinates

May 18, 2011 11:12:10 PM

PTI | Hyderabad

With the completion of five state assembly elections, Andhra Pradesh is keenly waiting for Congress' call on the vexatious state bifurcation issue.

For years the Congress has dodged the issue fearing a political backlash. But its indecisiveness on either creating a Telangana state or keeping Andhra Pradesh united has only been aggravating the unrest among people of the two regions.

To say that the entire state has been pushed into turmoil – on all fronts – particularly since December 2009 on account of the Congress' dithering stand will only be an understatement.

The distress caused to ordinary people, the beating that the state's image had taken notably on the investment front, the internal rift that the main political parties of the state were left with and the enormous loss caused to the state exchequer on account of the strife are now part of history.

But, history threatens to repeat if the Congress drags its feet.

The Congress-led UPA government at the Centre has bought time, from the aggressive statehood proponents, till completion of polls to five state assemblies even as close to five months elapsed since the five-member Justice Srikrishna Committee submitted its recommendations on the contentious subject.

Now that elections are over, the separatists are ready to up the ante once again and go all out in their quest for the state of Telangana that so far remained elusive for them.

Not only the separatists but also the integrationists are seeking an immediate solution to the crisis
.

"From June 1, we will put Telangana on the boil and even take our struggle to the international level," :P declared the separatist leader K Chandrasekhar Rao, whose Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has been in the forefront of the statehood struggle.

"It is time for the Government of India to take a clear decision in favour of Telangana. Else, we will go to any extent to realise our aspirations," regional leaders of the ruling Congress warned.

Having suffered a severe setback in which was once its stronghold, Telugu Desam Party too is gearing up for an open fight this time and has announced its first step of agitation programme in the form of a three-day 'padayatra' (foot march) beginning May 23.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is keen on re-establishing its base in the region by taking a lead in the statehood struggle, is also organising a massive rally in Karimnagar on May 31 to galvanise public support for the cause.

Government employees, on the other hand, have threatened to stop work once again if the Central government continued to dilly-dally on Telangana.

There are other groups in the region, particularly the student community, that have been taking an active part in the statehood agitations along with the political parties, often resorting to violence.

Worried are the common people whose lives will be largely affected if the separatists once again unleash strife to meet their objective.

On the other side, the Andhra-Rayalaseema regions remained relatively peaceful despite the state bifurcation demand reaching a feverish pitch in Telangana. Though for a brief period in early 2010 protests erupted in Andhra-Rayalaseema regions with the demand that the state not be split, peace prevailed after the Justice Srikrishna Committee was constituted.

First statement that has some clarity from CBN.

Act on T as per SKC: Naidu
May 18: The Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday asked the Centre to take a decision on Telangana as per the Justice Srikrishna Committee report. Mr Naidu also stated that his party would not be represented in any meeting convened by the Centre on Telangana hereafter. He said TD leaders from Telangana should undertake agitations for a separate state under the party flag and those defying it would be dealt with accordingly hinting at action against senior leaders, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Mr K. Harishwar Reddy.

Mr Naidu gave enough hints that there would be no resolution on a separate Telangana at the party’s Mahanadu, scheduled to be held from here from May 27 to 29. “Any agitation for a separate Telangana should be under the party flag and banner. Our party’s stand is clear on Telangana and there is no need to repeat it. Centre has to take an immediate decision on bifurcation of the state,” he remarked.

Replying to a volley of questions, Mr Naidu said the Centre had constituted the Justice Srikrishna Committee and it had submitted its report to the Centre. The Centre now has to implement its recommendations, he added. Asked whether a resolution would be adopted at the party’s Mahanadu on Telangana, the TD chief replied in the negative. “We will discuss the actions of Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Mr Harishwar Reddy in the party and a decision will be taken accordingly,” he said.

Lashing out at the state government’s failure to rescue farmers, particularly those who were hit by rains and lost huge quantities of paddy during the past two days, the Telugu Desam chief said what is needed is “not a farmers’ enlightenment yatra, but a farmers’ revolt yatra”.

Follow SKC report means no division. I do not know how long CBN is fool people. I think he is not willing for the division of the state and forgo Hyd which was developed by him with lot of efforts. IN Telangana areas TDP may or may not be there after division. But it does not benifit him. In rest of the AP he will be kicked out as he will be viewed as resposible for losing Hyderabad and all kinds of water/irrigation problems division will cause. So agreeing for division means effectively killing his political future. So CBN openly agreeing to division at this stage does not arise.

Congress/Center after SKC has to go by the report. They can not accept wako arguments of T vadis on SKC report and agree for division. Delelopment angle is no longer on the table. Without that there is a very strong liklyhood that there is no division.

In any event INC will think ten times before doing anything in respect of AP. We may see more all party meetings next month.

All the acts are to trap Naidu to make a stupid move while Congress doesn't spell its stand at all.

* Chidu says T game is still on.
* T-Congress MPs say Babu should write letter to Chidu
* Nagam, who is getting kicked out by T-TDP, says Babu to write letter to Chidu
* Jagan is silent on T

Now in scenario where CBN writes letter to Chidu (although original TDP letter is with government and SKC also used it)

* Congress and TRS would gobble up Telangana due to numerical majority together.
* Jagan to point would finger at CBN and gobble up non-Telangana and join Congress some time later.
* CBN would get Chippa (bowl for begging)

In current scenario, Congress continue to stew in its own juices. Congress instituted SKC so its their decision to spell out and do some thing about it.

Anything is possible when beggers steal machines in winter to use them as heaters and return to EC in summer after elections.
"Obfuscate and manipulate" has been INC election strategy.

Anyway, in a competitive situation that can't happen. YSRC+INC = INC vote bank. If they compete their votes are split and even if TDP loses a few % from last time, TDP should win in non-T. If Jagan merges or tie up with INC, its a different matter. In Telangana it is different, assuming things go like this, INC+TRS would have to tie up and win T seats. if they compete in T, it is again advantageous to TDP. One thing to note in this all noise, TDP is sticking to its core base so will have its vote share retained.

I guess we all missed a news. A UPCC meeting attended by Sonia passed a resolution to constitute second SRC to divide UP and other states of India. Immediately Seemandhra INC MPs welcomed and they are saying T will form based on SRC recommendation along with other states' divisions. Expectedly T-INC MPs are saying T is not part of SRC and it has to form immediately.

My gut feeling is INC is preparing a strategy to deny T state formation inspite of conflicting news. Also read Pranab Da calling T-INC MPs to abuse them left and right. It is important to note that CBN or KCR or Jagan did not make any statement regarding SRC. It is all congress party internal dialouge.

(1) Jagan and INC will NOT go together either before or during elections. It is going to be a real fight.
(2) The fight in non-T areas is going to be between TDP and Jagan.
(3) Reddy+SCs is the vote base of Jagan
(4) Kammas+ some BCs is TDP vote base (no change)
(5) As things stand it is KCR Vs INC and to some extent TDP in Telangana region

The strategy is to blackmail and mollycoddle KCR and create a platform for KCR to merge with INC. It is possilbe in the next couple of months INC may make either KCR or Chiru as CM. It will make Velamas+Kapus+some BCs as INC's base. It all depends upon if it can convince these sections to vote for INC using Chiru and KCR.

For all purposes, current vote base of INC is gone to Jagan and I don't expect a rapproachment before elections.

TRS has been systematically stamping out any kind of democratic dissent and was able to successfully instill fear in its political rivals. They have been wary of holding meetings even in the state capital. However it is difficult to believe CONgress was behind today's attack on the TDP. One doesn't understand why it should.

They don't have to be behind during act. It is within overall requirements for the outsourced project.
If Congress wasn't behind, the TRS miscreants would have been trashed and left in a state to not
repeat such acts.

From TDP angle, they did achieve something. They tackled TRS head-on by doing this in Karimnagar, the TRS core area.

The pioneer news link mentioned above by guruji. I think INC drama will be there next month. Chinddu want a all paty meeting with leaders from all the 8 parties with two people from each party attending the same and old drame will be repeated. INC's plan to weaken TDP may be comming to a positive end with kicking out of Nagam Janardhana Reddy from TDP. Nagan is a ideot to agitate so much on Telangana with all the big players are playing for the entire state of AP. Indications are there will be more dragging.

One things gurus are forgetting people in AP are all very angry with the state of affairs and INC which is in power in the state and center will be at the receving end in any election. Further the fact with 33 MP's from COngress there is no return to the state with DMK Mamtha and all and sundry getting major ministry posts and becooming big big leaders is a heart burn even to congress leaders. Expect congress to get kicked out of AP just like DMK in any elections held in near future.

The AICC incharge was equally disappointed by the lack of initiative on the part of PCC president D Srinivas. "Both, Kiran and Srinivas together are responsible for things falling apart. As a result, the party is moving in the direction of Tamil Nadu where national parties like the Congress have been wiped out with only regional outfits dominating the scene," was the impression that Azad carried when he left Hyderabad on Tuesday night.
I was wondering why everyone talks of 2014. What about after 2014. It is clear congress is thinking in those terms. Even if Telangana is given and TRS merges with Congress and wins in 2014, it is wiped out in Seemandhra and Greater Hyderabad for a couple of generations . Cong +TRS will get votes based on other equations in Telangana post 2014. They cannot sell the same pitch post 2014.

For sake of 10+- seats in 2014, can they lose for ever 32+- seats given they lost most of those 32+- in 2014 already.

Is there any way they can recover to atleast win 10 in united AP. They probably can. And that will likely be their strategy.

OT for this thread. Unless you think with that bill you can point finger at Central government and Congress attacking Telugus, the linguistic minorities, with T BS.
