Pakistan has been playing this idiotic game for a long long time and Indians have been gnashing their teeth in frustration
It would be far better to put on a superior smirk like G. Parthasarathy and enjoy all the misfortunes that befall Pakistn without expressing sympathy or stirring up shit by offering to help.

India welcomes suspension of US military aid to Pakistan
But, then the head banging sentences begin:
India welcomed the US decision to suspend $800 million military aid to Pakistan, saying a heavy presence of arms would have disturbed the equilibrium in the region.
"With reference to the special circumstances between India and Pakistan and how India has consistently taken the view that it is not desirable that this region had to be heavily armed by the US which will upset the equilibrium in the region itself. To that extent India welcomes this step," External Affairs Minister SM Krishna told reporters.
But, then the head banging sentences begin:
Krishna said, "Simultaneously the US must take note of the fact that we are working in a very committed manner to normalise our relations with Pakistan to reduce trust deficit, and efforts are on."
Re: Terrorist Islamic Republic of Pakistan (TSP): June 30, 2

India will not be able to win this game of condescending with the Pakistani Establishment. They will take our hand and drag us into the mud with them.
Re: Terrorist Islamic Republic of Pakistan (TSP): June 30, 2
Actually it is a very good thing Teresita and Howard Shaffer wrote that book. Now that the relations are going down, every time the Pakistanis act up, Americans and indeed the world would know, "okay, that is written on Page 137. We know, how Pakistan ticks and negotiates. Nothing new. Nothing to be taken on face value."jrjrao wrote:So, as expected, the Pakis are now trying out those same ol' negotiation tactics that have been so nicely summarized in the book by the Schaffers.

Pak - US owes more than $8B to Pakistan for past dues
This is getting bigger.
Pakistan has said it can manage without the near-billion-dollar military aid which America is holding back. It's thought Washington's decision is retaliation for Islamabad expelling over 100 U.S. military advisers. The U.S.-Pakistan relationship has been under strain since Osama Bin Laden's killing in May and U.S. drone attacks that killed civilians. The White House says Islamabad is an important ally in the war on terror, but that the relationship 'must be worked on over time'. Journalist Ahmed Quraishi says the bitterness is going to be tough to fix.

Pakizstan can rightfully claim to be the leader of its own league of nations comprising Pakizstan, Uganda, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen if it is able to get Sher-Khan to cough up the 8 billion Dollahs that he owes Pakizstan.

Zeck the remarksThe root of the problem is Pakistan’s tightrope walk between being an “ally” in the GWOT and keeping the lid on the Islamic extremist elements in its military and the ISI.
In a perfect world, Pakistan would richly deserve losing all its US aid. The idea that Osama bin Laden, the world’s most wanted terrorist, could be “hiding out” in Abbottabad — the country’s West Point, a stone’s throw from the capital, Islamabad — without at least semi-official protection never passed the laugh test.Elements in the Pakistani hierarchy have also tipped off Taliban terrorists operating inside the Pakistani tribal area of Waziristan; on several occasions, America has provided coordinates of bomb-making factories, but when Pakistani troops showed up, the bombers had “mysteriously” fled.To add insult to injury, on Friday, Joint Chiefs Chairman Mike Mullen publicly accused Islamabad of sanctioning the torture and murder of respected journalist Syed Saleem Shahzad, who had been covering Islamist penetration of the military. But we have to deal with the world as it is, not as we would wish it to be; if Bush could hold hands with Saudi potentates, we can hold our nose and deal with Pakistan. The key is understanding the nature of the country:But any serious Pakistan policy has to start with several sober realizations. One is that Pakistan always sees itself the aggrieved party in a dispute, whether it’s dealing with its historic enemy, India, or anybody else. There’s just no pleasing some countries.Another is the essential nature of the Pakistani army, which is concerned less with the country’s survival than its own. It more closely resembles the Mexican drug cartels than a traditional military, happy to see its host state kept weak but alive so it can play its dangerous double game with the West.

CIA organised fake vaccination drive to get Osama bin Laden's family DNA
Purelanders were already wary of all these kuffar practices like "vaccination", "women's health" etc. This should seal the deal once and for all.Senior Pakistani doctor who organised vaccine programme in Abbottabad arrested by ISI for working with US agents
The CIA organised a fake vaccination programme in the town where it believed Osama bin Laden was hiding in an elaborate attempt to obtain DNA from the fugitive al-Qaida leader's family, a Guardian investigation has found.![]()

"The whole thing was totally irregular," said one Pakistani official. "Bilal Town is a well-to-do area. Why would you choose that place to give free vaccines? And what is the official surgeon of Khyber doing working in Abbottabad?"![]()

Gilani asks US to discuss exit strategy
And Gilly once again proves that he is in fact the Isloo cousin of Baghdad Bob:LAHORE- Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani says the US should hold talks with Pakistan to work out an exit strategy from the war-torn country.
About the capture and killing of Osama Bin laden, he said it could not be called Pakistan’s failure. In fact, he said, it was the failure of the entire world.

Uh oh. Stop press. BREAKING NEWS. The L-e-T mouthpiece tells Reuters that life is Pakisatan is so bad, and so desperate, that "we can't afford bomb blasts" anymore.
LAHORE, Pakistan (Reuters) - Over tea in Lahore with the man who some see -- wrongly he says -- as a spokesman for the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group, one subject dominates the conversation. It's not jihad, not Kashmir, but the economy.
"The first condition to bring peace in Pakistan is prosperity," said Muhammad Yahya Mujahid, spokesman for the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD)....
"Already people are being killed by price hikes. In such circumstances, we can't afford bomb blasts."
With growth forecast this year at just 2.4 percent and inflation running at 14 percent and likely to rise further with increasing oil prices, ordinary Pakistanis are far more likely to worry about the economy than the Islamist militants ...
