The ISI does have its hooks deep in the Indian establishment. No wonder, little progress is made on solving terror cases and the media connection also explains India's seeming incompetence at PR.

One does not have to respect BJP or RSS or vHP ideology. But the very fact that Indian DDM and India secularists and yes, highelst levels of Indian establishment have succeeded, and in some case even exceeded, to portray an equivalence between TSP's Isalmic ideology and its sponsorship of terror as an instrument of state policy with Hindu groups is a victory for ISI. In a verbal debate, there is no way India can win as a result. The mere existance of BJP/RSS/VHP etc is enough for TSP to draw upon the equivalence after every terrorist machination of theirs and then call for "peace talks" and "dialouge".vera_k wrote:The ISI does have its hooks deep in the Indian establishment. I consider it treason on part of the higest levels of current Indian govt to have established an equivalence between 26/11 and Samjotha. ISI through its vast propaganda machine could not have achieved this kind of a PR victory without collusion from sections of Indian establishment.

Kashmir Rape Case: SIT Detains Man for Instigating Woman
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged rape incident in Kulgam district of south Kashmir has detained a man on charges of instigating a woman to put the blame on Army.
A senior police official said a man identified as Ghulam Hassan was detained on Wednesday after it emerged that he had instigated 32-year-old Ruqaya Bano to blame the Army.
"We are trying to ascertain the motives of the man for instigating the woman but so far there is nothing to suggest that he might be linked to any separatist outfit," the officer said on condition of anonymity.
The officer said investigations have also revealed that there were some problems in the woman's martial life as she had not been able to conceive even after three years of marriage.
"On the day she had disappeared, she had quarreled with her husband and left home. After wandering overnight, she met Ghulam Hassan while on her way back to home who asked her to blame army," the officer said.
Earlier last week, the rape controversy had taken a new turn when the husband and mother-in-law of Ruqaya claimed before police that she suffered from mental illness and was at her home home on the day she claimed she was sexually abused.
The statement of the family members of Ruqaya, 32, are contrary to her claim that she was picked up by two men in uniform on July 19 and allegedly gangraped for two days before being let off on July 21.
In her statement to the SIT on Friday, Amina Bi, mother-in-law of the alleged victim, said her daughter-in-law went missing on the morning of July 20 and not evening of July 19.
Ruqaya had alleged that she was kidnapped by two men in uniform on the evening of July 19 and held hostage for two nights during which she was raped in a "Dhok" at Manzgam, 80 km from Srinagar.

Meanwhile, more love sent across from Pak:
2 Soldiers, Militant Killed in Kupwara Gunbattles
Also:Two army jawans and a militant were killed in two separate encounters in Kupwara district.
The encounter, which broke out in Furkian Gali forest at around 1900 hours Saturday, continued late into the night, a Defence spokesman said here.
Earlier one militant was killed in a gun-battle with Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police in Handwara tehsil of the district, official sources said.
They said Army’s 18 grenadiers and SOG laid a siege around Rationpora village last night amid specific inputs about the presence of militants in the village. As the joint team started combing operations, sources said, the militants hiding in a residential house opened heavy gunfire towards the search team.
“The fire was returned by Army and the police. In the ensuing firefight, one militant was killed,” sources said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara told this news agency that the encounter concluded in which one militant believed to be affiliated to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was killed.
“We believe the slain militant is Abu Shukran of LeT,” he said.
Meanwhile, sources said that three heavily armed militants managed to flee last night after engaging the joint team in a fierce gun-battle. However, their fourth associate, they said was trapped.
2 Soldiers Hurt in Firing
Two army jawans were injured in an accidental firing in Rajouri disrict.
An army party was on its way to the border belt of Laam sector along the Line of Control, when rifle of a jawan fell down resulting in accidental firing last evening, army spokesman of 16 Corps said today.
In the accidental firing, jawans Narinder Singh and Vijay Singh were injured, they said.

Bakerwal shepherd boy snatches AK-47 from Pakjabis
police sources said the 22 year old boy, originally a resident of Vijaypur, Reasi, was grazing cattle in the forests, when two foreign militants, who were reportedly new in the area, kidnapped him on the evening of July 20 and asked him to show them safe routes leading to Pir Panjal range. The youth told police after escaping custody of the militants early this morning that both of them were speaking Punjabi. They were believed to be Pakistani militants of Punjab province affiliated to the LeT outfit. Both of them were equipped with arms, ammunition and explosive devices.
Sources said the militants tried to motivate the kidnapped youth to join their ranks. They also snatched his mobile telephone and removed its battery to ensure that their presence was not tracked by security agencies using signal of the cell phone. The youth started posing himself as an associate of the militants. Presuming that the youth had joined militancy, the foreign terrorists restored his telephone and started trusting him. The militants trekked several forests and finally established their base in Zamandu forest area, which was surrounding by a small habitation few kilometers away and had water facilities.
In the meantime, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Banihal Abdul Qayoom and SHO Banihal Sajjad Mir under the supervision of DIG Doda-Ramban range Manish Kumar Sinha and SP Ramban Anil Magotra established contact with the youth through his mobile telephone during which he started narrating few details about the militants after getting a chance.
Last evening when one of the militants had gone to collect food in a surrounding habitation and another was taking rest after consuming some drugs, the Bakerwal youth displayed tremendous courage as he removed the weapon (an AK-47 rifle) from under the head of the militant and escaped from the spot.

Geelani shocker for Hina - Separatist extends self-determination call to cover PoK
SANKARSHAN THAKUR
New Delhi, July 30: For all of New Delhi’s unhappiness over Pakistani foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar hosting Hurriyat leaders during her visit, the interaction might have offered Islamabad greater cause for concern.
The spearhead of Kashmiri secession, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, left Khar and her delegates a little stumped by demanding, for the first time, that the self-determination exercise should include areas under Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as well. ……………………………..
Geelani confirmed to The Telegraph that he had indeed spoken of the “entirety of Kashmir as it existed before August 14, 1947” during talks with Khar, but made out as if he hadn’t popped anything new on the table.
“I have always spoken of the rights of Kashmiri people in the entire region of Jammu and Kashmir as it stood on or before August 14, 1947, and that is what I told the visitors from Pakistan,” Geelani said over telephone from Srinagar. He would not say how his position was received bar repeat the stated position that Pakistan “supports our struggle politically, morally and materially”. ……………………………

Re: J&K News and Discussion-2011
This is naivete or feigning ignorance from DDM. This is an ISI gimmick because India has made some meek noises as to why no call for "plebiscite" in POK. TSP knows well, as does Geelnai that this is fantasy, so they make this nose, and so India, TSP, and "people of Kashmir" (including some token Paki mouthpieces from POK) can discuss "borders are irrelevant" nonsense, and then de-facto, not only POK (which is already under TSP), but also valley under firm TSP control. And by firm, I don't mean majority of the people, but majority of the trouble makers, soosai bimbers, stone=pelters, valley RAPE etc.arun wrote:Separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani demands separation of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:

SAS Geelani thinks he is smart and can fool everyone. We understand his game plan, except of course, for the WKK-types. He is trying every trick as he recognizes his natural end is now very near to him. A few days back, he likened his brand of terrorism to the Kurukshetra war. Most probably, the prompting to 'demand secession for PoK' has come from Ms. Hina Khar when they met.

Despite exhortations from Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah to employ as much local youth as possible in the construction of the 8.45-km Quazigund-Banihal tunnel, Navayuga - the construction company entrusted with the job--- may not oblige much. Making a fervent appeal during the ceremony for laying of foundation stone for the tunnel at Quazigund in Kashmir last Monday, the CM said the Kashmiri youths did not need free food but they needed employment and training. However, Road Transport and Highways Ministry officials said, “As the work is highly technical, we would not employ local youth as there are hardly any technical hands available here.” The officials though assured that the local residents could be given sub-contracts in works like disposing of boulders.

The Delhi Police has reportedly launched a manhunt for Nasir Safi Mir, who is accused of funding several Hurriyat leaders and is believed to have fled to the Gulf after jumping parole, reports Daily Excelsior. He was arrested by Delhi Police in February 2006 while carrying INR 55 lakh from a Delhi-based jeweller along with some explosives. He had jumped parole which he had got after several requests made by his family to a court citing medical problems. Mir, against whom a non-bailable warrant was issued in 2009, managed to escape using the Nepal route from where he had used the forged passport procured with the help of a senior separatist leader in Kashmir and officials in security establishment, they said. He reached Dubai after making a detour through Europe and Libya. However, the sources now claim that he has left Dubai as well.
The name of Mir, a resident of North Kashmir, who ostensibly used carpet trade and later a money exchange business in Dubai for sending hawala money (illegal money transfer) to Hurriyat leaders and other separatists in Kashmir, cropped up when the Government was examining the role of Kashmiri American Council leader Gulam Nabi Fai and whether India could give some additional information to the US, the sources said. Apart from Mir, considered as the "financial brain" behind funding of separatist activities in Kashmir, investigators were also probing the role of some senior Government officials who had helped him in securing a passport from a Southern State which helped him to flee from Nepal around October 2008, official sources said.

The name of a former Union cabinet minister had also surfaced during a discreet probe as he had taken up the case of Mir release with the government after Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq had put this as one of the pre-conditions for entering into a dialogue.

He said the advance party was fired upon by the hiding militants prompting the search party to retaliate.
Body of an unidentified militant was recovered from the scene of the gunfight this morning, a police spokesman said, adding an AK assault rifle, four magazines, one UBGL, four UBGL shells, two mobile phones and Rs 3,385 were recovered from his possession.
The spokesman said the search operation in the area was still going on when last reports were received.
Meanwhile, some militants opened firing on a security search party at nearby Wudderbala forest this evening, triggering a gunfight, official sources said.
The gun-battle was still raging in the area and further details are awaited, they said.
Re: J&K News and Discussion-2011
Fight India’s secular British Liberals & strengthen the Northwestern Frontier -
India’s northwest frontier will remain a security threat for years, if not decades, to come. Any effort from any quarter to slacken up on that area’s security instead of further strengthening it, at the behest of India’s secular and internationalist crowd who are still under the spell of their former British Liberal masters, will inevitably lead to a war and the eventual dismemberment of Kashmir from the Republic. In effect, the British Empire’s objective, carried out partially by Louis and Edwina Mountbatten when they seduced Nehru and his ilk into the breaking up of Kashmir, will be fully attained if New Delhi continues its mumbling and deliberately refrains from doing what needs to be done.
The Muslims of Kashmir - controlled by the British imperialists working through a gaggle of Mirpuris based in London, Birmingham, Bedford, Dewsbury and elsewhere in the UK and through Pakistan’s zamindar, the Pakistan military - have become virulently anti-India across the board. All these anti-India operatives are facilitated by a number of terrorist groups, such as Hizbul Mujahideen Islami (HuJI), Harkatul Mujahideen (HuM) and a horde of others unleashed from Pakistan and funded by Saudi Arabia, drumming out the British mantra that Kashmir will be separated from India. What these terrorists provide is the killing power to weaken the will of the population.
Though brimming with vim and vigor but virtually void of grey matter, Pakistan’s zamindars do not understand the long-term British plan to take Kashmir from its native inhabitants. Witness the Pakistan military’s ineptitude in handling the Pushtun crisis along the Durand Line in Pakistan’s west. First, by changing the Northwest Frontier Province to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, they laid the foundation for an independent Pushtunistan.
In addition, in acceding to the Saudi plan to spread Wahabism, and by promoting the madrassa-trained Taliban and training them with arms, they have groomed these militant Pushtuns to break up Pakistan itself.
The game plan was unfolding right before the eyes of any who chose to keep their eyes open. But New Delhi was busy misinforming the population about Kashmir and the Kashmiris; when too much blood had flown to keep the situation under wraps, New Delhi would indulge in mindless and sporadic retaliation, giving the false impression that they were putting things back on an even keel. Things were never on an even keel because the very leaders - Kashmiri Muslims, of course - who were kept in power in Srinagar to amuse New Delhi’s powers-that-be, were hand-in-glove with the same crowd that was crowing for Pakistan.
tall order for any GOI without b*lls. yes improving infrastructure and education is possible.Taking a leaf out of the Chinese policy book, India must flood the Kashmir Valley with non-Kashmiris from other states of India. They must be provided with security, and that means flooding the state with security people as well. Over a period of time, such a large migration of non-Kashmiris into the Valley will shift political and other powers away from the pro-Pakistan Kashmiri Muslims to the hands of individuals who identify themselves with India. Simultaneously, building up manufacturing and commercial sectors on extensive infrastructural development, as the Chinese did, will be a necessary step.
Meanwhile, educational opportunities should be opened up for the next generation of Kashmiri youth. Each of India’s 270-plus universities must provide scholarships to at least 20 Kashmiris for higher education. It is important to change the outlook of the next generation of Kashmiris and relieve them of the misery of living like frogs in a well with only one objective - to become a Pakistani.

Srinagar, July 31: Three Army soldiers were killed and two others injured in a fierce gun-battle with militants near the Line of Control in Kupwara district last night, official sources said here.
Soldiers of 19 Rajput Rifles of the Army noticed movement of heavily-armed militants near Temple Post at Furkian Gali near LoC late last evening, the sources said.
They said the militants were challenged by the soldiers but the ultras opened firing, leading to heavy exchange of firing between the two sides.
Two soldiers died on the spot while three others were injured, the sources said, adding one of the injured soldier succumbed to injuries at 92 Base Hospital at Badamibagh cantonment here.
The sources said the militants have managed to break free from the army cordon and might have slipped back across the LoC to Pakistan-administered Kashmir. However, the army said the operation was still in progress.
“We have foiled yet another bid by militants to infiltrate into this side of LoC from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, our three soldiers died. Operation is still on in the area,” Srinagar based Defence spokesman told Greater Kashmir.
This is the second infiltration bid from across the LoC in the last three days.
An infiltration bid was foiled on July 27 when foreign ministers of India and Pakistan were holding talks in New Delhi. A JCO was killed and two jawans injured in that operation.
