Gaurji,
Could you try and locate a version with higher resolution for the first and the fourth pictures.. They are a thing of beauty and absolutely wall paper material..

No need for sir.. Bala or vignesh will do just fine..
Its a shame that higher resolution versions are not available.. They really would have made a very nice wallpaper/screensaver..

Then you would have to drop using "ji" after my name too.Bala Vignesh wrote: Gaurji,

I agree. However, the fourth pic looks surprisingly all right when used as a wallpaper. The background is very blurry and the colors are oversaturated...this combination makes the 4th pic look reasonably OK when stretched to wallpaper resolution (looks quite good on my 1600*900 monitor). Its a shame that higher resolution versions are not available.. They really would have made a very nice wallpaper/screensaver..
Try it, you may find it acceptable as a wallpaper.

Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
I remember reading about the Trishna in a tinkle digest book ages ago. One particular part that i really liked was the Trishna heading into a large oceanliner head on. When they tried to warn the liner using the radios there was no response and a crew members came up with an idea to use torchlights to signal their position to the liner..chackojoseph wrote:Indian Army Sailing Yacht Trishna

Gen V K Singh on a visit to the US
Stumbled upon these pics showing him visiting the Ranger School where he completed the 61 day leadership course many years back.
For a glimpse into the Ranger School

Ranger school is pretty similar to the Junior Leaders Course so not surprising that he did well considering he was an instructor at Belgaum (remember his cameo in Prahaar with Nana?

Prithwiraj that pic struck me too. I wasn't sure why he got an official US Govt marked aircraft to travel around. Do SM Krishna or AK Anthony get one? (Pranab and PM usually travel by AI One).
Maybe this is a US Army jet and the Army Chief extended the courtesy to his Indian counterpart?

Indian Navy Whitehead A244S Torpedo
Added later...
Someone can correct on this torpedo name if they know for sure it is not A244s.
Tomorrow, I will post an as projectile, which doesn't seem to have a reference anywhere. Someone with authoritative knowledge could add some captions to that.

The MiG-25 Pilot mentioned here is Y.K.Suri nicknamed Yuri, one of the pilots of the Islamabad sonic boom fame.Never knew he is into acting.
Found a nice pic of V.S.Pathania & Trevor Keelor perhaps immediately after a mission in '65.

Interesting trivia on Wing Cdr Yogesh Suri from IMDb:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449994/triviaYuri or more correctly Wing Commander Yogesh Suri, who played Bairam Khan (in Jodhaa Akbar), is a qualified Cosmonaut, and during his career flew several types of aircraft including the MiG 21 and MiG 25.
