SRK is connected to Pak underground black money groups. These groups run the bollywood shows in US and Canada. This may be one of the reason for this problem. Bollywood should only work with legitimate Indian groups in US to promote their shows. Recently one of my friends gave information about one of this group

I have personally not been picked out or affected by the post 911 changes, but I would say that the US has gone past the half way point (consider US and USSR as two extremes). Patriot act, surveillance etc are very USSR.

Watch the mid 80s movie - Moscow on the Hudson. When Robin Williams, a Russian musician, defects (while in a mall, IIRC), the Russian cop type protest and the massa cop says "This is New York City. A man can do whatever he wants". People used to identify with that statement. Not anymore. People now stay clear of cops.

Yes. These dance shows are a great way to launder money, since the income from them is not taxed in India (and since no one in India is really keeping a track of how many tickets were sold and at what price), these film wallas can easily claim as income whatever amount comes to their mind.

Remember a few years ago, Aishwarya was caught smuggling dollars stuffed in some decoration items.

SRK even has one house in Dubai's Palm-shaped thingy which he received as a 'gift' from a 'fan' . (He had already bought a house on that before hand).

India, US to hold political-military dialogue after 6 yrs
http://www.rediff.com/news/report/india ... 120414.htm
After a gap of nearly six years, the United States and India [ Images ] will hold their first political-military dialogue in New Delhi [ Images ] next week during which the two countries are expected to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues.Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Andrew J Shapiro is traveling to India next week to head the American delegation for the first India-US Pol-Mil dialogue after 2006.
"Shapiro will hold talks with senior civilian officials on defence trade, counter-piracy, and regional political-military issues, as well as the recovery and repatriation of US service members lost during the Second World War," the US State Department said.In recent years, the US and India have significantly broadened their defence cooperation, as demonstrated by their robust engagement in bilateral dialogues, military exercises, and personnel exchanges, as well as nearly USD nine billion in defence trade since 2008, it said."The US and India are also working together as active participants in the 60-nation contact group on piracy off the Coast of Somalia, and are both among countries contributing naval forces to patrol regional waters," the statement said.ources said the talks being revived after a gap of six years would help the two countries bring together the political and military issues on one platform. However, sources clarified that during the talks the two countries would not be discussing licensing issues. The dialogue would review the kind of progress the two countries are making on political and military issues.

For Many Immigrants’ Children, American Dream Lies Abroad
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/16/nyreg ... .html?_r=1
Samir Kapadia seemed to be on the rise in Washington, moving from an internship on Capitol Hill to jobs at a major foundation and a consulting firm. Yet his days, he felt, had become routine. By contrast, friends and relatives in India, his native country, all in their early-to-mid-20s, were telling him about their lives in that newly surging nation. One was creating an e-commerce business, another a public relations company, still others a magazine, a business incubator and a gossip and events Web site.I’d sit there on Facebook and on the phone and hear about them starting all these companies and doing all these dynamic things,” recalled Mr. Kapadia, 25, who was born in India but grew up in the United States. “And I started feeling that my 9-to-5 wasn’t good enough anymore.” Last year, he quit his job and moved to Mumbai. In growing numbers, experts say, highly educated children of immigrants to the United States are uprooting themselves and moving to their ancestral countries. They are embracing homelands that their parents once spurned but that are now economic powers.

Some, like Mr. Kapadia, had arrived in the United States as young children, becoming citizens, while others were born in the United States to immigrant parents. Enterprising Americans have always sought opportunities abroad. But this new wave underscores the evolving nature of global migration, and the challenges to American economic supremacy and competitiveness. In interviews, many of these Americans said they did not know how long they would live abroad; some said it was possible that they would remain expatriates for many years, if not for the rest of their lives. Their decisions to leave have, in many cases, troubled their immigrant parents. Yet most said they had been pushed by the dismal hiring climate in the United States or pulled by prospects abroad.
“Markets are opening; people are coming up with ideas every day; there’s so much opportunity to mold and create,” said Mr. Kapadia, now a researcher at Gateway House, a new foreign-policy research organization in Mumbai. “People here are running much faster than the people in Washington.” For generations, the world’s less-developed countries have suffered so-called brain drain — the flight of many of their best and brightest to the West. That has not stopped, but now a reverse flow has begun, particularly to countries like China and India and, to a lesser extent, Brazil and Russia. Some scholars and business leaders contend that this emigration does not necessarily bode ill for the United States. They say young entrepreneurs and highly educated professionals sow American knowledge and skills abroad. At the same time, these workers acquire experience overseas and build networks that they can carry back to the United States or elsewhere — a pattern known as “brain circulation.”

There was a titbit in the media today about the impending "strategic discussions" and also in one paper about the "promise India made to buy a dozen Westinghouse reactors from the US",and efforts to sort out the imbroglio holding up the deal! Was this promise ever put in writing? Do we need an RTI effort to find out? if true, this underscores the suspicions about MMS selling out the nation to the US over the N-deal.

Thats because of the way US works. It has a well-oiled stable system controlled by military industrial complex, Church, and special interest groups like AIPAC. Both parties will do more or less the same thing, but will provide lotsa entertainment fighting over shallow differences in order to be in the cockpit. In the case of Obama, he provides additional cannon fodder as a black, as a "Muslim", as a socialist "oppressing" and "stifling" those whites who hate hate his guts and represented by the republicans. For us SDREs, it makes no difference Obama or Romney, both will soft peddle TSP crimes. Its in US national interest to do so.

How do you explain his messianic popularity? I mean those "South Asian" clowns swooning over him at Yale ought to have asked him some tough questions on his involvement with such shady groups instead of dancing with him like a bunch of zombies. Is it because Indian DDM, Indian govt etc have created such an iconic image of this guy, that anybody dare question his links with shady underworld and Paki groups as "communal"?

CRamS wrote:Guys, pardon my ignorance, but who is this US historian, Peter Hehs who is making news in India? After reading the following report from HT extending his visa for one more year, I did some poking around to learn more.

Apparently, he has written a book on Sri Aurobindo, in which he portrayed his holiness as some kind of "terrorist", and also a pervert for having an affair with someone who is considered the mother of the Ashram. Now, I am still learning, but with the Indian historian clowns like Romilla Thapar and Ramachandra Guha, western wannabe Indian media ducklings like Sagarika Ghosh and Nidhi Raazdan coming out full swing, batting for this guy, I am persuaded by those opposing him that this guy was up to some agenda.

Anybody knows more about Peter Heehs?
Peter Heehs is no "historian", but a former NYC cab driver. Went to Aurobindo ashram over 20 years ago, possibly because he needed to get out of the US for some reason.

Balanced view is:

(1) In the last two decades, Heehs has helped the ashram tremendously by instituting and maintaining a modern system of record-keeping and data management, without which many of Sri Aurobindo's lesser-known writings, lectures etc. might have been lost.

(2) His latest book (which has caused the furore) is his ninth or tenth on Aurobindo's life and teachings. Heehs knows his subject... he is not like the Wendy Donigers etc. who are professional defamers and denigrators of Hinduism. And he is (or at least once was) a sincere disciple and follower of Sri Aurobindo's philosophy.

(3) Heehs' latest book is definitely controversial and has angered a lot of Sri Aurobindo's followers, because (among other things) it makes suggestions that a relationship going beyond guru-shishya existed between Aurobindo and the Mother. BUT some people in the know suggest that the ideas aren't his alone: they are being advanced by a faction within the Ashram, of whom many are Indians. Heehs seems to have, voluntarily or accidentally, become the public spokesperson for this faction's point of view.

(4) The Romila Thapars and Ramchandra Guhas have come into the picture only now, seizing the opportunity for controversy and advancing their anti-Hindu agenda by creating a big furore about the situation. They were not "backers" of Peter Heehs at any earlier point... but now that the controversy has erupted, they want to cash in for publicity's sake.

In fact it is not at all certain that Heehs' visa was purposely revoked by GOI because of strings pulled by angry followers of Sri Aurobindo; most likely it simply expired because he overlooked to take care of some formal procedure. BUT the Thapars and Guhas of the world, together with their friends in the ELM, are trying to portray the whole affair as an incident of "free speech and democracy being crushed by Hindoo fundamentalists" etc.

Hindustan Times, CNN IBN etc. are willing vehicles for the Thaparites' propaganda war-- in which Heehs is merely a pawn, not a prime mover. They want to create a "story" to illustrate how "secularism is in danger from Hindoo fundamentalists" and do an equal-equal between Peter Heehs and Salman Rushdie.

Heehs may not be an angel, and it is unclear what his motivations were in writing the book. But once again, it's not Americans who are in the forefront of this media blitz to denigrate India and Hindus. It's people carrying Indian passports, wearing Indian skins, reaping money and fame from their affiliation with Indian institutions.

Rudradev:

Thanks for that update on Peter Heehs. Upon closer look, I find that those opposing his book have a good point. They are saying its not censorship, but as someone who is part of the ashram, Peter Heehs has no right to use ashram records, ashram resources etc to peddle his book. So its not a question of free speech or book banning per se that the Indian media dorkettes howl to impress the whites; rather its wrong doing on Peter Heehs part. I work for a private company in US, and if I dare use copyrighted material from my company to publish a book, you can imagine my plight. Ditto private Church organization. Someone within will not be allowed to write views derogatory. He/she will have to leave the Church, use his/her own material to peddle whatever they want, and then its a question of free speech. Peter Heehs detractors are pointing this out. But such nuances escape the wannabe western bimbettes how keep demagoging about secularism, free speech under threat, equal equal with Satanic verses etc.

Came across a small but interesting news today. Since its in marathi i am translating here. The news is located at the bottom left of the page.
http://epaper.esakal.com/Sakal/18Apr201 ... /page9.htm
It loosely translates as follows:

USA to search for missing troops
Source : UNI
In order to search for missing troops in world war 2, an american team is soon going on mission in the northeastern states of India. Sources have said that India has granted permission to the team.
---

my questions:
1. in WW II were american troops deployed in northeastern india?
2. if yes why search after some 68 odd years? why not around the 1950-60s?
3. even of someone is lost at the age of 20, he/she is supposed to be around 85 years of age by now. so the possibility of finding anyone is very less.

all i am thinking is this is a cover up story and main intention is to get some info on chinese military near the border.

many US personnel were based in eastern India during WW2 supporting the allied war effort. a large number of US air crew were lost in the NE flying supply missions 'over the hump'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hump

these efforts are usually by relatives meant to recover wreckage and/or remains of the air crew.

How Pakistan makes US pay for war
Islamabad - taking advantage of American arrogance and ignorance in Afghanistan and Pakistan - took Washington for a patsy. One Pakistani ruling group after another spotted Washington's weaknesses - from terror cases gone awry, attacks mismanaged, supplies misdirected and money misspent - leveraged them, and made the US pay through the nose for its war-making desires. - Dilip Hiro

The LeT was formed in 1987 as the military wing of the Jammat-ud Dawa religious organization (Society of the Islamic Call, or JuD) at the instigation of the Pakistani army's formidable intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The JuD owes its existence to the efforts of Saeed, who founded it in 1985 following his return to his native Lahore after two years of advanced Islamic studies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the guidance of that country's grand mufti, Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz.

On its formation, the LeT joined the seven-year-old anti-Soviet jihad in Afghanistan, an armed insurgency directed and supervised by the ISI with funds and arms supplied by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Saudis. Once the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan in 1989, the Army of the Pure turned its attention to a recently launched anti-Indian jihad in Indian-administered Kashmir and beyond.
Also the US agencies trained the LeT recruits during the Afghan wars.

This is the period when the intensity of the Afghanistan War was reaching the peak and the stringer II was deployed.

To reduce the pressure on the Soviet troops the Indian IA plans was to keep the forces o alert and do the training of the large IA troops near the border. Op Brasstracks.

Here is the compilation of the coverage of Agni-5 tets in US cable news media.

Quick points : -

1) Fairly positive coverage, no denunciation. Most commentators chose to highlight good Indo-US relations and India's goodness.

2) The ones to far right are more cold-blooded and want to exploit India's rivalry/competition with China to US's advantage. (We should do the same! )

Fox News coverage of Agni-5 test (videos)

India's nuke threat underestimated?

India vs. North Korea missile tests

India test launches missile with ability to reach China

CNN coverage of Agni-5 test (videos)

China says India is a 'partner, not rival' after missile launch

India vs. N. Korea launches

What India missile test means for region <= Again a briturd anchor going crazy over why India is allowed to have an a 5k rocket while UK has to use khan's technology on its submarines.

Msnbc coverage of Agni-5 test (video)

PS - I'm LMAO over the way all of them slam NK and call their rocket launch a failure every time they seem to discuss them. :rotfl: If NK had bold leaders like Pa'astan, they would demand an unconditional apology.

This is an extremely complicated situation:

1) China, historically, and even modern China, only has a history of trying to project power on its own borders. Since the 1500's when they were the most powerful country in the world, they have only concerned themselves with adjacent countries --- and India is on their border. They have already fought 3 minor wars with India and both countries have heavily fortified the 2100-mile border with a huge number of troops on tripwire duty.

2) Back in the Cold War, Britain prevailed on the US to choose sides with Pakistan. This was a hugely bad decision. At that time Paklistan was twice as large, including what is now Bangladesh, and was moving toward a Turkis-style progressive secular government. But since then, India has been on a "less-than-favored" country short list. Not quite an enemy, but under huge US economic and military sanctions. During the Cold War, for example, we would not allow comnputers to be exported to India which has one of the most advanced physics and math academic sectors in the world. So India cozied up to Russia to offset US arms deals with Pakistan.

3) Bangladesh broke away from Pakistan because of differences as the Muslim majority gradually took over. That cut Pakistan in half. The US has maintained good relations with Bangladesh and is currently considering a "security arrangement" with Bangladesh that would keep us involved in the region and potentially pulled into any troubles between India and China.

4) India is still very cozy with Russia and Russia wants to keep it that way. The Indian military is mostly Russian-equipped and a huge chunk of Indian trade goes to Russia as a preference. When Russia lost influence in Egypt they vowed that it would never happen in Syria and India and doubled down. Now it looks like Syria is falling apart and Russia is even more determined to keep India as a partner.

5) While there has been some relaxation in the US attitude toward India, such as relaxing some of the restrictions on nuclear powerplants and comp[uter technology exports, there are still a series of US-authored UN sanctions against India that would have to be made to go away before real normalization of relations with India. India is polite, but firm. They simply do not trust the United States and it will take decades to change that.

6) As the US pulls out of Pakistan and Afghanistan, the world will discover what India already knows. The major object of hate of those people is not the US. The "great satan" in Sub-Asia is Hindu India for Muslims. There aren't enough Christians in the region to hate --- kinda like hating Blacks in North Dakota where they have to make do with American Indians. As the US pulls out, the Pakistanis especially will refocus their venom on India. The ISI has always controlled the military and the military the ruling elite by using the issue of Kashmir. It was the Paki ISI, for example, that financed, controlled, recruited for, and executed the terrorist attack on Mumbai a couple of years back.

7) India is, like China, very resource-poor in a lot of areas. But they will be competing with China (and to a much lesser extent with Pakistan and Bangladesh) for these scarce resources. Not a good situation when you share a heavily militarized border with your economic competitor.

@Tracy,

The Indian states are composed of smaller states for the most part. There were simply so many that governance was unweildy, so there was a lot of consolidation. But Indians still consider the old states as existing because of rather massive linguistic and cultural differences.

And actually, if you look very closely: China actually claims land in every country that is adjacent to it and has has expansionist border disputes with every single adjacent country. Military historians say that China is a threat to any country it can walk to.
This is an honest reply about US sanctions against India.

the MSNBC article has interesting comments. lot of Sinophiles and Atlanticist racist bullies. I've posted a pretty stinging rebuke to one "Tracy Domenica" about her nonsense argument linking "low caste poverty" with the missile test. Let's see if the comment is published or not. posted under the name of deves.

What's the purpose of directly confronting these people online ? I consider their vitriol as entertainment following the test.

^^^ +1

I used to fight them before but now I feel pity for the vitriolic trolls, they are helpless, powerless dorks who have no means to feel pride than by measuring themselves against someone whom they consider to be lesser than them for eternity. All this just because they were placed, by the accident of birth among the tribe of the "winners".

Replying to them won't change them, neither would it change the reality on the ground. The ground reality is one thing which the trolls are not interested in. They however do understand power, and we should do everything in our power to possess it, even if we don't project it.

Wow! There sure is a heat wave on folks!

Secret Service scandal 'prostitute' pictured for first time
The first pictures have emerged of a Colombian woman reported to be the prostitute at the heart of the US Secret Service scandal.

Xcpt:
The New York Daily News published photographs of a 24-year-old single mother known as Dania, who is reported to have gone back to an upmarket hotel with one of President Barack Obama's bodyguards only to argue the following morning about price.

When the agent refused to pay the $800 she was demanding hotel staff and local police became involved, sparking one of the most serious scandals in the Service's history.

The woman, who reportedly has a nine-year-old son, eventually left with around $225 but by that point the US Embassy had become involved.

Three agents have been forced out already and of the remaining eight who have been suspended more are expecting to go.

One supervisor was allowed to retire and another sacked, while a more junior uniformed officer resigned.

CBS News reported last night identified the supervisor that was retired as David Chaney while the man that was sacked is reported to be Greg Stokes. Mr Stokes was recently in charge of the agency's canine division.

The prostitute spoke to the New York Times earlier in the week, saying that the Americans did not tell her they were Secret Service agents and had not revealed that they were protecting President Barack Obama.

“This is something really big,” she said. “This is the government of the United States. I have nervous attacks. I cry all the time.”

I sense a book deal, numerous TV talk shows and perhaps even a tearful appearance on Oprah coming her way.

actually, I have slightly different view. when you see comparisons between "poverty" and missile test, you need to apply the same logic for their home countries. no defensive nonsense. go on a complete offensive and compare the poverty of Blacks with American military spending. I've seen that when their own logic is applied back on them, they get truly pissed off. and that's when it gets amusing.

Not to be offensive, but in Australia the government wants to buy F-35s while aboriginals are saddled with TB, malnutrition, lack of running water, etc. but of course few whites in Australia kill themselves out of poverty. Now if they volunteered to sail back to England and vacate the land for its original inhabitants, they would have demonstrated their concern for justice and human rights.

It is not like those F 35s will help much in case China or India decide they want to liberate the aboriginals. That will of course be beyond any Australian ability.

What is much more interesting is the timidity of the Indian. As I have stated previously they fight much too clean. It is not only pakis who hope for the Canadian vija. P
