There is need to change non-qualified personnel in Islamic banking besides staff from conventional banks into Islamic financial experts so that Islamic banking could be run by qualified Islamic bankers.
I guess hijabs and nikabs will become mandatory in paki banks?
Last week, President Asif Zardari, who is never still, called up Gen Kayani to ask if his preferred candidate for the next Prime Minister, Makhdum Shahabuddin, was acceptable to the brass. The call was necessary in light of the military-run Anti Narcotics Force's unfolding "get Shahabuddin" operation. The considered response came a couple of hours later: take whatever political decision you deem fit but "we don't want to get involved" in political matters. Mr Zardari took that as a diplomatic NOC and gave the green light to Mr Shahabuddin. In the event, however, he had to retreat in a blaze of ignominy next morning when the ANF pitched a tent outside the PM-nominee's house, brandished handcuffs and served warrants on him.

ISAF kills Lashkar-e-Taiba's leader for Kunar in airstrike
Coalition and Afghan special operations forces killed the leader of the al Qaeda-linked, Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, or Army of the Pure, during an airstrike yesterday in the remote eastern province Kunar.Khatab Shafiq, "the LeT's [Lashkar-e-Taiba's] senior leader in Kunar province," and numerous "insurgents" were killed during two airstrikes in Kunar's Watahpur district yesterday, the International Security Assistance Force said in a press release. "[T]he security force engaged the insurgents with a precision airstrike away from all civilian structures," ISAF said. "After the strike, the Afghan and coalition security force conducted a follow-on assessment and confirmed Khatab Shafiq, along with multiple other insurgents, had been killed." The special operations force directed a second airstrike after identifying "several more armed insurgents in the immediate area." ISAF said that no civilians were killed in either strike. Shafiq's "country of origin was Pakistan," a spokesman for ISAF's Joint Command Media Operations told The Long War Journal.ISAF said that Shafiq "was responsible for several attacks against Afghan and coalition forces, and provided money, weapons and training to insurgents in the region." He also "established multiple insurgent training camps in eastern Afghanistan, where insurgents learned how to use mortars, rockets and machine guns. Most recently, he was involved with teaching insurgents how to build and emplace improvised explosive devices."
NEW DELHI: After the arrest of 26/11 handler Abu Jundal, India is on the verge of another success in Saudi Arabia having convinced the authorities there to deport Bihar engineer Fasih Mahmood, accused of carrying out terror strikes in India and recruiting youths for terror-related activities.
Highly placed sources in the government said India issued an identity certificate to the Saudi authorities for Fasih last week after Pakistani agencies too laid claim by stating that Fasih had a valid Pakistani passport. Pakistani agencies had made a similar claim for Jundal.
Sources said US pressure helped in swinging the case in India's favour.
Another suspect to be deported with Fasih
Saudi authorities said they had the option of ignoring the identity certificate issued by India through the ministry of external affairs for terror suspect Fasih Mahmood to counter Pakistan's claim that he was a Pakistani national. Sources said that US pressure helped swing the case in India's favour. In fact, it was Washington that had worked on the Saudis to get Fasih detained in the first place.
It is also learnt that the Saudis have agreed to deport another Indian terror suspect along with Fasih, but his identity has not been confirmed yet. Indian authorities suspect Fasih is linked with Riyaz Bhatkal and Iqbal Bhatkal, leaders of LeT proxy Indian Mujahideen (IM).
Sources say the two absconding terrorists won Fasih over when he was studying engineering in Karnataka. The engineer from Bihar's Darbhanga district has since tried to find new recruits for LeT plots. A CBI team is likely to be sent to Riyadh to bring him back.
Sources said they had to face stiff opposition from Pakistani agencies bent on proving that Fasih was a Pakistani national. He was even said to have a passport issued from Lahore. "Fasih was obviously in regular touch with agencies in Pakistan which tried to protect him," said a source. Pakistani agencies apparently wanted Fasih to be either released or sent to Pakistan.
Indian agencies said his interrogation will be crucial because as a prime recruiter for terrorist activities in India he has knowledge of several sleeper modules operating across the country. "Keeping that in mind he is no less a catch than Jundal," added the official.
According to the Interpol Red Corner Notice issued for Fasih, his name surfaced in the Pune's German Bakery blast case followed by the Chinnaswamy Stadium blast in Bangalore. The notice says that he has been a member of Indian Mujahideen since 2003. He is alleged to have been involved in the 2010 Jama Masjid blast and shootout cases.
Since India did allow itself to be used as the 'India Card'
US is using the KSA card to reduce pakistan and bring it to the footpath.
We have to watch where this will go and upto what point will Pakistan hold up until it
gets down to the knees.
KSA is also the largest lobby group in DC and funds the Pakistan lobby in DC and it has sensed that things have changed and it needs Indian help in the GCC region. KSA also has sensed that helping India will also help its lobby in DC
Saudi barbaria sending pious apduls to India. Amazing.A kuffar nation compared to land of pure.
Saudi barbaria is the bastion of pure. Must be embarassing to pakis.
Another example that shows ummah was and is never a monolithic entity.
Every tribe thinks for its own benefits including using the religion.
Overall really bad that saudi barbaria has not changed its stance on terrorism. Only changing policies wrt to countries involved.
This is blasphemy ... every terrorist is now surfacing from Saudi Barbaria instead of Terroristan. It is amusing to note that the TSP wants first dibs to certify every terrorist surfacing from Saudi Barbaria as its own outstanding citizens terrorists. Since these guys are South Asian citizens and the people of LoP have large hearts, they should let them visit India and enjoy people to people contact and savor some sarkari SDRE biryani.
THE textile industry fears further delays in the unilateral, temporary and limited tariff concessions announced by the European Union one-and-a-half year ago to help Pakistan recover from losses of the 2010 devastating floods.
The industry’s fears stem more from the lingering debt crisis facing the euro zone rather than the opposition of tariff waivers.
“The EU is not going to implement the promised tariff concessions until it can solve its own problems,” insisted a leading Karachi-based garments manufacturer who requested not to give his name.
“The major textile producing member countries of the EU — Spain, Greece, Portugal and Italy, which had objected to the trade discount package for Pakistan from the day one, are facing the worst crisis of their history. Growth is slowing and jobs being lost. How can they allow us tariff concessions now when they were not ready for this when they were much better off?,” he asked.
“If we want take advantage of the trade incentives offered by the EU we must invest heavily to expand our capacity, diversify our products and improve the quality of our exports,” argued a leading yarn producer from Lahore.
“The textile producers are ready to invest $5 billion in next five years if they ate assured of continuous supply of gas and electricity to run their factories,” he claimed.
What she does not say is important - she never talks about Pakistan's support to Jundal right up to the day of deportation..she never talks about Pakistan's role in terror..
Singh calls it a major signal to get someone with TSP passport from GCC..he spent four years there..
To hear Madeline is nice because it makes clear how the Stalinist rapist goons mafiosi' propaganda comrade 'expert' twisted her words to suit his pro-Beijing agenda....she never claimed credit for capture of Jundal...she speaks clearly "I have no idea" and also speaks in general terms, like someone outside the admin would..

Nice Paki army chick but I have some questions. Should not she be declared chicken cutlet, because she is not wearing a burka and on top of that she is wearing hindu saree? And WTF is she checking and how will she be sure what she is checking is what she wants to check? Link
1.Financial emergency: The State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign currency reserves are falling as bricks fall through clear water. The SBP is losing some $10 million dollars a day every day of the year. In the following 12 months, our current account deficit is projected to be $5 billion and debt repayments amount to an additional $5 billion. We must raise $10 billion in foreign loans or the SBP goes belly up.
2.For the first time ever the government of Pakistan (GoP) is printing an additional Rs300 crore a day every single day of the year; the GoP would print more only if there was enough electricity.
3. American Express has run away. HSBC is running away. Citibank has sold off its various business units.
4.For the first time ever, four out of 10 Pakistanis are managing to survive below the poverty line.
5.Forty percent of all Pakistani children are now underweight. Imagine: 6 out of 10 children are affected by stunting .
6.More than six million Pakistani children are out of primary school and that is the highest of any country in the world;
May be with atomic takat , Pakistanis beleive they are too big to fall, and someone will ultimately come to their rescue!
MIRANSHAH: A US drone attack on a militant compound in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal district killed six insurgents on Sunday, security officials said.
The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on the compound in Shawal district, 50 kilometres southwest of Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan tribal district, near the Afghan border, they said.
“Two missiles targeted the compound, killing six militants,” a security official told AFP.
Pakistanis living in the UK feel more British than their native counterparts, the world’s leading Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) of the University of Essex has revealed.
Muslims living in the UK on the contrary to other ethnic minorities are the most likely of all groups to identify with the concept of “Britishness”, the ISER found.
Be that as it may, does the report suggest that the Pakistanis are the touchstone of Muslims (or Islam) ?

[LAHORE: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said on Saturday his government would not let its “first-class president” to surrender to a “third-class magistrate” because “we believes in supremacy of the constitution and law”.“He (Asif Ali Zardari) is the democratically elected president of Pakistan and as per law he enjoys the immunity as long as he holds the office,” the prime minister told reporters. About the Supreme Court’s directive to write to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against the president, the prime minister said he would announce his decision on July 12, the next date of hearing at the court.Raja said there would be no problem if all the institutions function within their constitutional limits and domains.
“The institutions should work within their constitutional ambit and let the people decide about the future of the democratically elected government,” he said during a meeting with senior columnists and editors at the Governor’s House.
Raja urged all the stakeholders to respect the constitution and work within the constitutional parameters in order to avoid instability in the country. The prime minister said he was willing to talk to the PML-N over the appointment of chief election commissioner (CEC), adding that he was optimistic that the opposition party would respond positively on the issue.“I respect the PML-N leadership and mandate of the Punjab government,” he said.He said that although his statements in the past about ending load shedding were still hounding him, it was fact that the government had been doing its best to end this menace “as soon as possible”.He said that due to high prices of oil in the international market, the cost of electricity had been increased in Pakistan.About the law and order situation in Karachi, the prime minister said that it was a provincial matter but his government would extend help to the province if it asks for it. The prime minister said the PPP had not stepped back from its stance on the creation of a separate province for the people of southern Punjab.
TSP miscalculated that KSA was safe haven for Indian origin terrorists. The TSP miscalculation is that it giving citizenship to Indian origin terrorists is not being honored by KSA for whatever reasons.
There is this remote chance that TSP is shipping them to KSA for further processing?
Any Indian origin terrorists better not show up in KSA.
The Paedophiliac sex Jihad practised by Mohammaddens tracing their origins to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan targeting Kaafir children in the UK, creates tensions with the native Anglo-Saxons.
From Roperia's post. Modified for accuracy as Porkistun wud like:
Highly placed sources in the government said India issued an identity certificate to the Saudi authorities for Fasih last week after Pakistani agencies too laid claim by stating that Fasih had a valid FORGED Pakistani passport. Pakistani agencies had made a similar claim for Jundal.
ramana wrote:There is this remote chance that TSP is shipping them to KSA for further processing?
Ramana, if you mean that the TSP is betraying these terrorists and turning them over to India through the KSA, I doubt even that remote possibility for the reason that Abu Jundal is a PA/ISI man (through the LeT). The PA/ISI will be nailed even more through these arrested guys. This is an operation that has gone awry for the PA/ISI. PA/ISI/LeT are planning for another and more spectacular terror strike and they overstretched. The PA/ISI/LeT also underestimated the meticulousness and perseverance of the Indian intel agencies. These arrests and deportations to India, in spite of strong claims by TSP that they were Pakistanis, add uncertainty to the jihadis and closes down a safe haven hitherto enjoyed by TSP.
SSridhar wrote:I doubt even that remote possibility for the reason that Abu Jundal is a PA/ISI man (through the LeT).
Also, if that be true (PA giving up jihadis), there would surely be retaliation from the affected jihadi group - IMO of course.
With the trail firmly pointing back to the PA? Unlikely.
Unlike India where decision making is decentralized and cumbersome, the paki jehadi command structure (Govt, civil society, PA and ISI are all combined where India is concerned) is exceptionally quick, agile and nimbly surefooted.
Note the lightening speed with which they reacted on the surjeet and sarabjeet substitution when they realized how the jundal fiasco was going to play out.
only rehman malik has reacted with conspiracy theories ( he is some sort of adviser to the paki govt, not a minister anymore, there is plausible deniability built in ). There is a wait and watch attitude in general from the rest of the jehadi pack as they patiently wait for India to shoot itself in the foot and snatch defeat from the jaws of a major PR victory
From Dawn:
(Quoted in part) The Final Betrayal
From the Newspaper | Cyril Almeida | 6 hours ago
A new book is about to hit Pakistani shores that will elicit howls of anger and we-told-you-sos through gritted teeth in certain quarters.
It’s not so much what has been written but who has written it: David Sanger, The New York Times Washington correspondent more plugged in than most to the US national-security establishment.
Sanger’s words carry more weight because he has both access and insight, and what he has to say about debates within the Obama administration on Pakistan will not go down well here.
Put on your best Pakistan-lovin’, everyone’s-out-to-get-us, the bomb-will-keep-us-safe, we’re-a-fortress-of-Islam hat and sample these words from Sanger’s ‘Confront and Conceal: Obama’s secret wars and surprising use of American power
“So three years into [Obama’s] presidency, the arguments over how to deal with Pakistan still rage. ‘On this issue, more than any other, you get such disparate accounts from different parts of our government,’ one senior State Department official conceded to [Sanger]”.
Those three facts combine to produce something akin to an opportunity for Pakistan: set our house in order for our own sake and the outside world will respond positively.
But the problem with irrationality, emotionalism, paranoia and stubbornness is that opportunities are obscured by ever-present threats, sometimes real, often invented.
The Americans think Pakistan and its army worry about the Fourth Betrayal — a repeat of 1965, 1971 and 1989 when the US either turned its back on Pakistan or refused to help.
But we may already be beyond that; we could be in the realm of the feared Final Betrayal — a Pakistan neutered of the one element that supposedly guarantees its survival: its nuclear programme.
As Sanger claims, one of the first things Kayani did in the aftermath of May 2 was to move around the components of the nuclear arsenal — just in case the Americans tried to take it out.
The book should be a good read!
From wiki:
Sanger's second book Confront and Conceal: Obama's Secret Wars and and Surprising Use of American Power (Crown, June 2012) is an account of how Obama has dealt with those challenges, relying on innovative weapons (such as UAVs and cyberwarfare, such as Operation Olympic Games) and reconfigured tools of American power.[4]
Threatening PMs with loss of their job if they dont write swiss letter is not working. Pakistan chief justice must kidnap the PM's daughter and wife, tie them to a pillar and threaten dire consequences to them if the PM does not sign the letter. I saw that in a movie somewhere, it was effective in that movie.

How does that impact their Haj plans?
Were the Pakis sheltering any anti-KSA regime yahoos? Is that why KSA is pissed with the Pakis?

A senior Pakistani politician and a former member of the Musharraf cabinet, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, who was detained at the Houston airport on arrival on June 27 for his alleged links with Lashkar-e-Tayiba [ Images ] and freed after five hours of interrogation, used to run an Inter Service Intelligence-funded training camp for Kashmiri militants in the garrison town of Rawalpindi when the armed struggle in Jammu and Kashmir [ Images ] was at its peak.
Krishnan, it is very well known that Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was running a terrorist training camp at Tarnol, suburbs of Islamabad. Hundreds of acres of land was transferred to him by the ISI in 1989 under the very nose of Ms. Benazir Bhutto. Ms. Bhutto later claimed that it was done without her knowledge and authorization. Though it was possible, Pinky cannot claim to be a saint in so far as terrorism directed against India went.
However, as it happened to Col. Imam, Khwaja and others, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has been on the cross hairs of the more pious, just like the creator of the taliban, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. I don't know therefore as to why he went to the US. This will only add to the suspicions of the more pious now.

On My personal level, I have nudged 2 of the team owners to stay away from Pawkis. They have complied. There are few in BCCI who give the logic that Indian team has lost the killer instinct since we stopped playing pawkistan.
BCCI president off course does not advocate the Pawk series or participation in IPL & told the PM that nothing should be done without the consent of Team Captain/Players.
