The money in Aid comes back in this way to USA.ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan embassy in Washington leads in terms of annual expenditures among all 121 foreign missions which the country maintains throughout the world, the National Assembly was informed on Thursday.
In reply to a question by Mr Muhammad Ali Khan, the lower house of the parliament came to know that during 2009-2010, the Pakistan embassy in Washington spent Rs775.172 million.
These figures show that despite Pakistan`s stop-start relationship with the United States, the Foreign Office has a substantial presence in that country. And their annual expenditures prove that the country`s diplomats in the US have busy lives.
An official of the Foreign Office defended the heavy presence in the US, saying the large Pakistani community benefited from it.
The prime minister is the competent authority to appoint ambassadors from among officers of the Foreign office of BS-20 and above depending upon their seniority and suitability for posting under consideration.

Rajeshji, how could you be so sure? The Paki Fauj owns the country! The faujis are neck deep in every kind of business and nefarious activity - Cereals, logistics, cement, real estate, drugs, weapons, money laundering, kidnappings, murders, extortion etc. Could it not be possible that the fauj is already involved in the Pakeezah business? At worst, there must be a non-state-actor regiment that is involved.RajeshA wrote:With Pakeezahs, Pakis will soon mint money!

http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-new ... 81693.aspxThe principal and staff of Pakistan's first college of arts are facing accusations of blasphemy for including paintings and a feature that allegedly support homosexuality and ridicule Islamic values in the institution's annual journal. An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday directed the chief of Old Anarkali police station to act in accordance with law on an application seeking the registration of a criminal case against the administration of the National College of Arts in Lahore. The application filed with police contended that the college's principal and staff had published paintings and a feature that "favoured homosexuality" and ridiculed Islamic values in the annual journal "Sohbat". Judge Sajjad Ahmad issued the order in response to a petition filed by a man named Abad Ali and directed the police station chief to lodge an FIR if any cognizable offence was made out against the respondents. The petitioner's counsel Mumtaz Ahmad Mangat argued that the college's principal and other members of its administration were liable to be prosecuted for disgracing the Quran and ridiculing Islam. He asked the court to direct police to register a case against the respondents under the blasphemy law and the Anti-Terrorism Act.![]()

ISLAMABAD: The United States has accepted the new terms of engagement with Pakistan covering all aspects of bilateral ties between the two countries as enumerated by Islamabad, possibly bringing to an end the acrimonious relationship between the two countries created in the wake of the Salala attack last November.Pakistan accepted the set of proposals handed to it by the high-powered US mission during the two-day talks that ended here on Monday evening. The draft of the understanding will come up for formal approval in the meeting of the Defence Committee of the Cabinet (DCC) that is scheduled for today (Tuesday) with Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair, following which the federal cabinet will endorse the decisions of the DCC tomorrow (Wednesday).US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will call her counterpart in Islamabad Hina Rabbani Khar and will convey the apology for the Salala incident after which the remaining issues will be settled one after the other as the ground lines of communication (G-LOC) are reopened. The route will be strictly used only for non-lethal goods for the troops combating in Afghanistan. The passage fee per container would be charged according to its size and the stuff carried would be subject to scrutiny as no weapon or ammunition would be allowed to be transported. The US has assured Pakistan that it would respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and intelligence sharing will guide the use of drones in difficult terrain of the tribal areas.
In the meantime, highly-placed diplomatic sources told The News that Washington had assured Islamabad that it would release half of the payment equaling $400 million under the Coalition Support Fund (CSF) next week while the rest would be released within this year. The United States had pledged that it would pay Pakistan $800 million in the year 2011 for providing assistance in the ‘war on terror’ but tension in ties came in the way of payment according to the stipulated time. The US is bound to pay Pakistan an amount of 2.5 billion US dollars. The United States will also discuss at the appropriate level the realisation of funds under the Kerry-Lugar law which will help improve the balance of payment and allow the government to fulfill the fiscal commitment it had made in the budget for the next year with its people. With this, the military cooperation between the two defence establishments would also be restored to the normal scale, sources maintained. The sources said that Finance Minister Senator Hafeez Shaikh, who led Pakistan in talks with visiting US Undersecretary of State Thomas Nydes, has reported to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf about the outcome of the negotiations on Monday evening. Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar was also present.
Pakistan’s Ambassador in the United States Sherry Rehman has arrived here in the wee hours of Tuesday. She will also attend the DCC on special invitation.Miyan Gilani will teceive her at the airport with open hands.
Pakistani officials accused up to 60 Afghan soldiers on Monday of crossing into Pakistani territory and sparking clashes that killed two tribesman. It was the latest in a series of escalating cross-border attacks reported in Afghanistan and Pakistan that are inflaming tensions along the porous border as NATO prepares to end its combat mission against the Taliban in 2014.Both countries blame each other for harbouring Taliban fighters active on both sides of their 2,400 kilometre (1,500 mile) border, fanning distrust between Kabul and Islamabad, and complicating a peace process in Afghanistan.Kabul threatened to report Islamabad to the UN Security Council over what it alleges is the shelling of villages, while Islamabad said it would protest formally to Kabul against the latest incursion."If our bilateral discussions regarding this issue brings no result, we will refer this issue to the United Nations Security Council," Afghan foreign ministry spokesman Faramarz Tamana told AFP.In Pakistan's semi-autonomous tribal belt, security officials said two tribesmen were killed in Upper Kurram district in clashes with 60 Afghan army soldiers.Another tribesman was also wounded "after they traded fire with Afghan army soldiers on seeing them inside Pakistani territory," a senior official told AFP on condition of anonymity. The clashes lasted for more than 90 minutes after which security forces were sent to the area on the Afghan border, he said.Local residents said the Afghans were pursuing attackers fleeing Shehar-e-Nau village in Paktia province.Afghan defence officials denied the alleged incursion."We are not aware of such an operation by ANA (Afghan National Army) in that area," Daulat Wazir spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said.Colonel Ahmad Jan, spokesman for army corps 203 in southeastern Afghanistan said: "It is not true, our forces have not entered Pakistan. We have not had any operations near the border recently."A spokesman for Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security intelligence agency said cross-border fire had killed four people, including a woman and a child, and wounded six others, in the last week.Afghans and Americans blame Pakistan for not doing more to eliminate havens on its soil, which are used as launch pads for attacks across the border.Last month, the US commander of NATO in Afghanistan blamed the Pakistan-based Haqqani network for a siege on a lakeside hotel in Kabul that killed 18 people.
^^The US is also coordinating its press releases to sell the impending deal.
Providing a list of those who have expressed regret is no good. Before the November attack, Pakistan was charging the U.S. $250 per truck. Afterward, Pakistan demanded $5,000 and the U.S. countered with $500. It's unclear where the deal stands now.
The U.S. has compensated for the closed route by using a much longer, more expensive supply line that runs into Afghanistan through Central Asia. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has said the route is costing an extra $100 million a month now and could grow as the U.S. starts to withdraw equipment in advance of the 2014 troop drawdown in Afghanistan.
.....
The U.S. has sought to finesse the issue by providing a list of senior officials who have expressed regret over the incident , including President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, said the senior American official on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the discussions.

New Delhi: Abu Jundal has reportedly told interrogators that after 26/11, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had shortlisted the Nashik Police Academy in Maharashtra as a terror target. The plan was to emulate the attack on the police training academy in Lahore in 2009 - terrorists entered the school with grenades and rockets; at least 10 people were killed over nearly eight hours as Pakistani officials fought back.

Also, check out video titled "Jundal's passport exposes Pak lies" which shows the Puki passport that this pig had in his possession on whose basis ISI wanted him extradited to Jihaidstan. I'm unable to find an exclusive link to that video.MUMBAI: The statements of American jihadi David Headley and alleged 26/11 handler Zabihuddin Ansari, alias Abu Jundal, match in one key respect: they have both named the same three Pakistani officials as being involved in the planning and execution of the 26/11 attacks. Sources in the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), which is keeping tabs on the developments in Delhi, where Jundal is being interrogated, said Jundal has named Major Iqbal, Major Sameer Ali and Colonel Shah of the Pakistani army.
Jundal is believed to have told interrogators that Major Iqbal provided Rs 25 lakh for the boat that was initially purchased for the 2008 attacks. However, the terrorists' first attempt to reach Mumbai by sea was thwarted due to bad weather. "Prior to November 2008, the ISI had sailed a weapons-laden boat towards Mumbai, but the boat rammed into rocks and the attack was postponed," said an officer in Mumbai on condition of anonymity.
Mumbai officers are being kept abreast of developments in Delhi by central investigating agencies. The revelation continues to put pressure on Pakistan, which has been denying any role in the attacks.
Pakistani-American Headley named the same three Pakistani army officials, according to a National Investigation Agency report on his statement. Headley had said that these three Pakistani army officials were among the architects of the 26/11 attacks. Investigators will reportedly compare the statements of Jundal and Headley.
Headley also told the American FBI that Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafeez Saeed was in the loop at each and every stage of the planning and execution of the attacks. Jundal has told investigators that Abu Kaahfa, Abu Al Qama, Muzzamil ,Sajid Majeed, Abu Anas and Abu Hamza were present in the control room from where instructions were given to the 26/11 terrorists.
Jundal, who was in the Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) 26/11 control room, was deported last month from Saudi Arabia. He was a Simi member before he joined the outlawed terror outfit Indian Mujaheedin (IM), which is accused of perpetrating blasts throughout the country. Jundal is also accused in the 2006 Aurangabad arms haul. Jundal allegedly played a key role in bringing the LeT and IM together for their common cause: spreading terror in the name of jihad in India.
The LeT has secretly orchestrated and financed several blasts in the country since 2000, including the 2003 twin blasts and 2006 serial train blasts. Security agencies learnt about the LeT-IM link only after the Mumbai Crime Branch busted an IM module with members that had perpetrated blasts since 2005.
Jundal's name also cropped up in the 2010 Pune German Bakery blast, which left 17 dead and 65 wounded. The police discovered that Jundal sent Rs 6 lakh through hawala channels for the blast.

For those who may have somehow missed the Pew Report of June 27,2012 on the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:Why Muslims and Chinese hate Pakistan
July 3, 2012
Rakesh Krishnan Simha
Pakistanis evoke highly negative emotions worldwide, including in Muslim majority countries, says a US survey. Not just the elites but the common Pakistani too is culpable in the country’s spectacular failure.
It has never been easy being a Pakistani. Pick a terrorist act committed anywhere in the world and chances are it has Pakistani fingerprints all over it. In many places, the word ‘Pakistani’ is a four-letter word.
So it must be a nasty kick in the guts for the Pakistanis to learn that their only allies, the Chinese, as well as the majority populations of several Muslim countries, including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and Lebanon, see them as a bunch of baddies.
A survey of 21 countries released on June 27, 2012 by the United States-based Pew Research Center suggests that Pakistan is not only a universally disliked country but the Pakistanis themselves have learnt nothing from their history, continuing to support the very actors who are responsible for their country’s negative image. ………………..
This is a snapshot of Pakistani society where the arrow of time is travelling backwards, taking it into a spiral of medieval madness. Where the death of a terrorist merely means he will be instantly replaced by a hundred clones.
Is it any wonder that Paki is a four-letter word?
