Narang almost has qualified...

14:29 OLYMPICS LIVE: Narang stays in contention for final berth:
Narang shoots 99 in the fourth series to finish fifth. Remember only the top six qualify for the final.

Narang's total after the prone series is 398. Rajput, with a total of 395, is in 20th position.

gowda has qualified.

about 3 position shooting, kneeling is still to start. not sure he can qualify before that. I am not certain of format. rajput shooting his 2nd round of standing position now.

sandhu shot a 25 but will find it hard to come back from his 22 y'day.

Now to wait for Group B, Gowda is still leading Group A.

Narang ranked No. 1 as of now.

I think qualifications are still on, the prone part is done (narang did well there), the standing standing is on and the sitting is still there. early days yet
http://www.london2012.com/shooting/even ... 2012080608

a horse of usual suspects like zhu qinan, campriani, emmons, hellenbrand are back....phew...this one is even more of a fight than the 10m.

emmons won the silver behind bindra I think. kind of choked in last round...but was consoled by his rather pretty gold medalist wife, so he was ok...seems to have recovered and back in the hunt now!

The Standing position doesn't seem to be Narang's strong suite.

Narang seems to be taking a break. They get 75 minutes to complete their shots in Standing Position.

Gagan Narang though is very much in the frame. He is in fact fighting for the top position in the qualifying.

Narang shot a 90 in the second round. Surely there's no coming back from this now.

Yipeee....Another medal then. So, we inch past Beijing tally.

Sad but dont give much chance against the Brit given the judging standards this time around, esp against home opponents. Hope, it isnt as bad in the Women competition

Knowingly didn't watch it( and depending on BR for scores) to have a anti-jinx. Planning to do the same for Devendro's bout :((

the brit is very good. plus more crowd and dodgy refereeing. then the chinese champ. the american against the chinese also looked very good. so i guess it is a bronze unless she can produce something extraordinary. she didn't push it too much in the qf as the tunisian looked weak.

Kazakhstan has 6 golds and none in silver and bronze. Very wierd medal tally.

Russia and Australia on the other hand seem unable to win a gold. Russia usually bounces in the end withe events like rythemic gymnastics etc. But Australia seems to be a gone case. Couple of golds in atheletics and thats it I believe. Spain also seems to be going back to its Montreal Olympics level of 2 silvers.
