Not really. Every persecuted minority in Pakistan has to be armed and trained. The thousand cuts strategy can work the other way too. There is also a non-violent way to suit your taste -- print fake Pakistani currency and push it into that gutter hole. Do to others what they are doing to you -- the golden rule that never fails.

Trailer for a movie based on OBL raid in Pakistan. Conveniently releasing around Dec 2012 for ombaba. But will again help in reminding joe the plumber of pak perfidy
If December 2012 it wont be for Ombaba as by then elections would be over and done with.

Why do they have this regular disagreement, does anyone know? I keep hearing a lot of times in their talk shows about how bad it is that the muslim sub-sects cannot agree on a common time of the moon sighting. I always assumed that it was more than a coincidence, maybe inter-sect or inter-province rivalry to not agree with the other party, but it seems a bit too much even for pakis.

Pathans consider themselves more TFTA than the Pakjabies, they want the Pakjabies to follow their lead, not other way around, that will be my guess.

IMO, The moon sighting fights are somewhat quite similar to disputes over "leading the prayers" one often observes in the RoPers.

Its basically a conflict on which group is more pious/paki/pure either by lineage(ex: being descendant of PBUH) or by beliefs or both.

Indian blood donors & doctors give a fresh lease of life to a Pakistani
Nothing different as it has happened many times before. But, the following caught my eye.
Her son, working with the Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, then came forward for evaluation as the donor.
We know that the CM of Pakistani Punjab is a jihadi supporter and the patient's son works with a jihadi.

Another was that the transplant took place in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Sir Ganga Ram was the architect (and engineer) of modern Lahore. The Pakistani Punjab government has done everything to remove his memory as he was a kafir. But, the momin get treatment in a kafir-land from a kafir doctor working in a hospital named after a kafir who was responsible for a modern momin city.

Why does the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a country that goes to absurd lengths to demonstrate its Mohammadden piety and further one that constantly lectures the world that Mohammaddenism is a “Religion of Peace” feels it necessary to ban cell phone services in order to prevent its Mohammadden citizens from killing each other on the day of a major Mohammadden festival?

Because the Land of the Pure (now on its way to being the Land of the Purest) has to protect itself against the Yahud-Hanud-Nasara kafir conspiracy. One must know that a Muslim does not kill another Muslim, especially in Pakistan. AoA.

Paradox of that highlighted statement is that they are killing each other due to the dispute over definition of 'muslim'. So, one can very well claim that 'a muslim does not kill another muslim'. But before that, one has to first determine 'who is a muslim?'.

Is Shia muslim? Is Sunni muslim? Is Ahmediya muslim? Is wahabi muslim...so on and so forth.

Once it is clear 'who muslim is', then we can examine the accuracy of the claim 'a muslim does not kill another muslim'.

Pakistani girl accused of Qur'an burning could face death penalty

Tensions rise between Muslim and Christian communities amid claims that 11-year-old desecrated text

An 11-year-old Christian Pakistani girl could face the death penalty under the country's notorious blasphemy laws, after she was accused by her neighbours of deliberately burning sacred Islamic texts.

Rifta Masih was arrested on Thursday, after complaints against her prompted angry demonstrations. Asif Ali Zardari, the president, has ordered the interior ministry to investigate the case.

As communal tensions continued to rise, about 900 Christians living on the outskirts of Islamabad have been ordered to leave a neighbourhood where they have lived for almost two decades.

On Sunday, houses on the backstreets of Mehrabadi, an area 20 minutes' drive from western embassies and government ministries, were locked with padlocks, their occupants having fled to already overcrowded Christian slums in and around the capital.

One of the senior members of the dominant Muslim community told the Christians to remove all their belongings from their houses by 1 September. "I don't think anyone will dare go back after this," said one Christian, Arif Masih. "The area is not safe for us now."

A few brave souls have stayed behind, but shopkeepers have refused to serve their Christian neighbours or supply them with water. Locals say only about 10% of families in the area are Christian, renting cramped houses from Muslim landlords. They tend to do dirty, menial jobs such as sewer maintenance.

Relations between the communities had been simmering for months after complaints were made about the noise coming from three churches in the area during religious services. Two of the landlords who owned the buildings had already ordered an end to worship and some services were forcibly broken up.

But there was no indication that all the Christians would be forced out so suddenly until Rifta was accused of the provocative act of burning the sacred words of Islam.

It sparked immediate demonstrations by crowds estimated at between 600 and 1,000 people, some of whom blocked the nearby Kashmir highway, the major road running west out of the capital.

The police, initially unwilling to take action, eventually charged the girl with blasphemy and took her into custody. The rest of the community, including her parents, fled.

As with many other aspects of the incident, there is disagreement about exactly what was burned. Some say it was a small pocket book of Qur'anic verses. Others claim it was pages of the Qur'an. Either it was a relatively small quantity of ash carried in an earthenware dish, or it was around half a kilogram of refuse that filled a small plastic shopping bag.

Hammad Malik, a 23-year-old with a shaven head and bushy beard who is deemed a "scoundrel" by the Christian community, said he saw Rifta walking out of the tiny, single-room dwelling where she lived with her parents and sister at some time after 6pm. He said it was pure chance that he noticed her bundle.

"I looked at it but did not know exactly what it was but I could see it had words written in Arabic," he said.

He concedes that no one actually saw her burning anything as the offence allegedly happened inside the house, and she was caught while finding somewhere to throw away the remains. However, the local mullah claims there was a witness: another young girl who caught her in the act and then ran to the mosque to raise the alarm.

One thing the Muslim community does agree on is that claims in the local media, sourced to the police, that the girl has Down's syndrome are false.

"She is a completely normal girl," said Kamran Khan, cousin of the Masih family's landlord. As the largely male and grownup crowd gathered outside the house, a girl who said she knew Rifta said she did behave oddly – she talked to herself and walked in a peculiar way.

The other point of general agreement is that "the law should be followed". Unfortunately, the law in question is Pakistan's blasphemy law, which has a proven track record of ensnaring people on the flimsiest of evidence and being cynically used to intimidate communities or settle quarrels over money and property.

Even though no one has yet been executed for blasphemy in Pakistan, long prison terms are common – one Christian couple was sentenced to 25 years in 2010 after being accused of touching the Qur'an with unwashed hands.
{Touching Quran with unwashed hands is haram. However killing innocents in the name of Quran is halal. Welcome to Pakistan.}

There have also been cases of people killed by lynch mobs demanding instant punishment. Daring to criticise the law is incredibly risky and few do it.

In 2011, Salman Taseer, the former governor of Punjab province, was gunned down by his own bodyguard after he spoke out against the case of Aasia Bibi, another Christian woman accused of blasphemy.

The Christian community of Mehrabadi says the whole thing is a plot. They too have conflicting accounts of what happened. In one version, according to priest Boota Masih, a Muslim neighbour asked the girl to throw out the ash into which the desecrated pages had been placed.

Either way, one hotly contested incident involving a very young girl looks set to change the complexion of the neighbourhood for ever.

"They have done this to provoke the Muslims, like they have with their noisy banging and singing from their churches," said a local mullah, who would not give his name. "We are not upset the Christians have left and we will be pleased if they don't come back."
Same tactics of intimidation and threats which was used to drive out the Pandits from Kashmir is being used in Pakistan to drive out the minorities.

^^^ What a contrast with India where these same Christian minorities roar Hindu persecution, demand government money for pilgrimages to Jerusalem and building churches, insist on planting churches in Hindu areas right next to temples, and organise demonstrations against India's BJP prime minister when he visits the US.

Selling the proposition that Mohammaddenism is a “Religion of Peace” to adherents of other faiths will certainly not be helped by incidents involving Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden violence on ground considered consecrated by adherents of that religion that to on the day of a major religious festival of that religion  :

X Posted from the Oppression of Minorities in Pakistan thread.

Members of the minority Mohammadden Ahmadiyya / Ahmadi sect ought to be regretting their support for the partition of India and the creation of a so called safe haven for the Mohammaddens of the Indian Sub-Continent as their Mohammadden co-religionists of the Sunni sect are ensuring that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is most certainly not a safe haven for the Ahmadiyya’s:

SSridhar:

Overall, however, India is not interested in aggravating the already existing faultlines within Pakistan. We are on a Chanakyan approach to resolving the Pakistani problem. We are concentrating on maintaining an excellent GDP growth year-after-year so that Pakistan becomes inconsequential in next 3 decades. Till that time, we have to bear with Pakistani terror, perfidy and aggressive behaviour. Besides, we do not want a fragmented Pakistan around our western border. We want a strong, friendly and secular Pakistan for which we are willing to give our right arm and left leg. We realize that Pakistani behaviour flows from its insecurity because of a large & powerful India irreconciled to its creation, as its neighbour. We will do everything to redress these misgivings, including withdrawing from Siachen and making it a Peace Park. After all, the Pakistanis are our long lost brothers & sisters and as a larger brother, we have a responsibility too.
Shiv:

True. In addition I believe that all political hues realise that we have too many internal faultlines/traitors which lead to any action by India being declared as bad for someone or the other. Bad for Hindus. Bad for Muslims. Bad for minorities. Bad for human rights. Bad for security. Bad for environment. Bad for the economy etc. Taking no action against Pakistan and absorbing hits from shitland has the salutary effect of not waking up or favoring some group of whiners while continuing to show Pakistan up as the party causing aggravation. In all other cases even Indians are ready and waiting to call India the guilty party. Those mouths remain tightly shut as long as India keeps swallowing terrorism from Pakistan. Hence do nothing. Hear no evil. See no evil. Speak no evil.
Absolutely, as my current Indis sojourn winds down, I can see the disconnect between BR-type nationalist strategic angst Vs the reality on the ground in India. And DocJi, you are 400% right, just like the reps and Dems in US, both BJP and Congress will adopt the sam TSP policy, albeit using a different set of words to describe their actions.

Now is all this bad. Not necesserily so. If I were a decision maker in India, not sure I could do things any differently even if I wanted to. Simply put, leaving aside India's military weakness to wage an offensive war to counter TSP's continuous war offensive, terror + blackmail + subterfuge (ISI sponsored currency racket, use of social media to create communal havoc etc), India simply does not have the bare minimum social/nationalist cohesion to take on TSP in the same tterms they take us on. As DocJi insightfuly points out, any Indian aggressive response, unless it succeeds like a lock, stock, and barrel in which India remains unscathed which is unlikely, a bruised phyrric India, assuming India can win at all, will render India so much worse off, that its alread framgmented body politic could unravel. For those for whom India delivers, i.e., the middle class or for those for whom India is their dear country, not just a land mass where they had the misfortune of being born into; any disruption in the current status quo means they stand to lose big. Its not worth the fight.

But its not the Chanakyan "sour grapes" in me that is saying this, but strangely, India still wins despite the apparent "victory path" TSP is on. And it is this. I have not met a single person (and I know this is not a scientific poll) that cares even a hoot about TSP. In other words, Indians are either consumed with making it in the so called "globalized" economy, or simply struggling to make ends meet (vast majority), I bet you this is the case and I do agree radical Indian Muslims with a TSP mindset exist, but they are outnumbered. In contrast to the India obsession to the last Pakijabi man and woman on the streets of TSP. Indian intransigence and apathy towards them is what riles them the most. As long as this equation does not change to any of TSP's provocations, I doubt India is losing in material terms because all these 1000 cuts hardly make a dent in average Indian's day to day life (not to mention the delicate social status quo that DocJi referred to). Even a TSP nuke attack I guess won't change matters, because even in response to such a diabolical TSP act, there will be an Arundathi Roy, or a Pankaj Misra, or a MoothraKumar who will say it is India's fault to have introduced nukes into "South Asia", and there will always be the ultimate WKK like MMS who will say that India's and TSP's destinies are linked and piss process is uninterruptible. In short, India's current showing the other cheeck is the most optimal response to to those who like India to be fragmented further.

Applying mehndi is a hindu tradtion over 4,000 year old or since the age of vedas. Don't the Paki know that?

By applying mehndi they are committing "shirk" or whatever.

repeated bursts of gunfire and shelling that a lawmaker said was the “first time in years” Pakistani troops had targeted villagers.
barbarians shelling Indian villagers.

Most of the artillery guns sold by USA, China and UK. (link paki inventory).

Hopefully some well made artillery guns including made in India ones get on to routine of shooting practices on any disturbances at all, so that these barbarians are forced to live a life of taqiya till their last breath.

These people tend to take the attitude - "Oh there are some good people. But India is bad because too many Kafirs and raping Kashmiris and now killing North East people"

What Pakistan needs is Islam. A lot more Islam. Pakistan is not Islamic enough. If only Pakistan became more Islamic, why India, the whole world will bow down before Pakistan.

My worry is Miano and her cronies granting long term visa/ asylums to these people in India. If she really has any soft corners for them she should appeal to her home country and settle them in Rome or Vatican. India only has dharmic obligation to protect Hindu Sikh & Parsi people. Rest can migrate to greener pastures of west.

Pakistan Railways on road to revival?
Islamabad: The beleaguered Pakistan Railways may be finally on the road to revival, as the government has approved various projects at a whopping cost of Rs.287 billion ($3 billion), a Pakistani daily said Monday.

A major chunk – Rs 246 billion -- approved by the National Economic Council will be spent on reviving the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), the Dawn reported.

The KCR's revival was planned in 2006, but lack of funds delayed its implementation.

Now that Japan has agreed to lend money, its completion will help unclog the port city's roads, the daily said.

The remaining fund will be used for purchasing locomotives, bogies and high-speed power vans and for repairing the existing 150 diesel engines.

The railway has been in dire straits for several years now. Only 76 locomotives out of 520 are in operation, for want of repair

Now he has a greater reason to hate his ancestors who converted, despise the new blood that runs through his veins and for the new tag "Saved by Hindus" that now hangs over his head. This will give him new sense of urgency to conduct violent jehad in the name of a god who has given him nothing. Story of a paki.

Do the Paki ever spend their own money (oh wait they are bankrupt) on any of the developmental projects ever? It seems they are always begging for money whether it is dams, railways, or anything else.

The Pakistani Punjab government has done everything to remove his memory as he was a kafir. But, the momin get treatment in a kafir-land from a kafir doctor working in a hospital named after a kafir who was responsible for a modern momin city.
Another anecdote from 1947 about the Sir Ganga Ram hospital in Lahore:
wiki entry
A statue of Sir Ganga Ram once stood on Mall Road in Lahore. Saadat Hasan Manto, the famous Urdu writer, in one of his stories on the frenzy of religious riots of 1947 writes that an inflamed mob in Lahore, after attacking a residential area, ‘turned to attacking the statue of Sir Ganga Ram, the Hindu philanthropist. They first pelted the statue with stones; then smothered its face with coal tar. Then a man made a garland of old shoes climbed up to put it round the neck of the statue. The police arrived and opened fire. Among the injured were the fellow with the garland of old shoes. As he fell, the mob shouted: “Let us rush him to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.”
What happened then is no different from what's happening now.
