JJ has all the rights the other administrations have all over the world. As a CM she has to rule the state and cannot give excuses for her opponents to abuse and hurt state interests.

If KH wanted to be an actor and businessman, he should have stuck to that instead of but licking the politicians. Karma is a female dog after all.

What would MK (or pick your favorite, dharmic politician) do in JJ's position?

X-posting
RamaY wrote:^ It wouldn't matter. IMHO, it was a simple commercial movie with an attempt to catch Hollywood standards. What mr. Secular Kamal didn't realize is India is not USA and Tollywood ain't Hollywood.

The most interesting thing is only Muslims in TN, Gulf Nations and Malaysia and probably Pakistan are hurt by this movie. Muslims in Hindi belt are not Islamic enough :rotfl:
Kamalhasan drank too much of his own psecularism. He is an idiot from beginning to end. He should have asked how it is sensitive in TN but not other states, but it could mean he would invite complete ban of the movie, which will be against his financial interests.

KH's cries are all about money money money. No principles. He is just trying to hide behind the secularism that is biting him right now.

Blaming JJ is silly. It is KH's own doing all the way.

Got this from a list. (I do however empathize Kamal on this latest movie issue)
Kamal Hassan's Viswaroopam controversy has brought his double standards on matters of religion and his "honesty" to the fore.

Ever since the protests by Muslim groups against his latest film began ( that was followed by a ban of the film by the TN Government ),
Kamal is in all pains to explain to his "Muslim brothers" about his "honesty in making films" and how he has "always" taken care "not to hurt any community" .

Any one who has grown up watching Kamal's films would know about his "atheist" side which he never fails to show off through the characters he play.

But for Kamal, atheism is all about bashing Hinduism and Hindu faith. For, he knows that his millions of Hindu fans would not take it seriously, no matter how many times he makes fun or throws filth at Hindu Gods, Swamis, rituals, customs etc.

If a single film and the Muslim protests against it has brought Kamal down to his knees pleading for mercy, it is high time for the Star to introspect how he has hurt the sentiments of tolerant Hindus all along in his career.

Well..will he introspect ? If not Kamal, at least the Hindus who admire Kamal Hassan should introspect.
Well..., if they try to give the normal excuse "Hinduism is tolerant" , then the question to them is - Was / is Kamal ready ever to credit Hinduism for its tolerance ? or he would stoop to explain his "honesty" to his "brothers" ; only when confronted with a might that those Muslim protesters have ?

In short, Mr. Kamal, are you also one of those "seculars" ; who say "The might is right" ?

I conclude by giving some examples below which every Hindu fan of Kamal should introspect about..

Anbe Shivam –
The villain is a Shiva Bhakthar ( played by his muslim friend Nasser ).
He repeats the well known slogan “Thennaadudaiya shivane potri…”
whenever he commits villainy and crime. The saviors of Kamal from the
road accident are all Christian missionaries, sisters. You should note
how the Camera goes to focus on a Jesus statue when Kamal is helped by
the hospital sisters to walk.

Pammal K Sammandham -
Comedy scene where Kamal acts as “Lord Shiva”.
Available here : http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=2T9vmTUOoTs

Man Madhan Ambu –
Kamal is on a mission to spy Trisha for Madhavan.
Kamal says Maddy that he saw Trisha with some other guy. When asked
about the appearance of the other guy, prompt comes the reply “The man’s
dress is saffron in color”. When Madhavan gets anxious about why Trisha
does this, Kamal adds something like “…may be the religion is the
problem ?”

Dasavataram -
The scene where Kamal comments "Will not crimes happen inside a mutt ? " and then asks ” Alagiya Singar....is that Madonna ?” when a Vaishnavaite asks if Kamal knows about their Jeeyar ( religious head of Vaishnavaites ) named Alagiya Singar.
Watch here : http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=ithSV-F7Z9c
Vasool raja MBBS :

In “Vasool raja m.b.b.s”, there is a scene where a
lifeless patient is shown sitting as a demo piece for a medical class.
When the professor says that the man has not spoken for years & is
only a vegetable, kamal questions him & says “Even Lord Ranganathar
in srirangam is sleeping all these years, what is wrong in the man
sitting like this”?

Singaravelan :

In “Singaravelan”, he presents some flowers to khushboo on her
birthday. She smells one of the flowers & says that it stinks. For
this, kamal says that this flower is dear to Vinayakar, he has such a
big nose, even he does not say anything, why are you complaining?

Sigappu Rojakkal :

In “Sigappu rojakkal”, when Sridevi & kamal go to buy God idols,
Sridevi looks at an idol & asks for thr price. When the shop keeper
says “20 Rs.madame”, kamal asks ” So cheap? There is no costly saami
available?”.

BJP’s knotty coalition bind
By ashok malik

Finally, there is the perception that a shiftless coterie in the BJP national headquarters is too snugly plugged into the Lutyens' Delhi matrix to risk a forthright articulation of the party's own identity and ideas, as these must be projected for contemporary India. In that sense those who fret Modi is not a consensus builder are actually complaining he disturbs the consensus.

It is atrocious to suggest any elected politician has rights to seek revenge and abuse powers to seek personal fortune, and exploit and threaten people. Period. Supporting such actions is incongruent to all the bashan people give on the floors of BRF, and have no grounds to question the abuse of power by INC et al.

Kamal has every right to care for money? Does he have double standards? Sure, is that a problem? Yes for people like me. Can he be threatened by JJ for speaking his mind? Nope. Your takleef is that he praised P. Chidambarm, anthe. Any action by PC's enemies are fine by you, no?

Boss, it does not matter who does it - flaring up communal tensions or fanning radicals should be strongly objected. Any support for such actions is sleeping with the enemy.

You are coming with the lames excuse that Cho and JJ are coming up with. You seriously support the ban? Wow.

Congress plans Rs 100 crore social media war chest

some funny quips as usual-
The BJP, he said, had a hundred people tweeting against the Congress in the morning. By afternoon, the tweets would become news on TV channels and by the next day, they became headlines in the print media.(lies and damned lies- tweeting done by young Indians, dislike congis rule but not necessarily BJP supporters. DDM is firmly with congis)
Sibal made a strong case for a pro-active approach to the social media. He pointed out that the BJP made extensive use of the social media to reach out to the middle class. He referred to the anti-government blitz on social networking sites following the brutal bus rape case and earlier during the Anna Hazare-led agitation for a Jan Lokpal Bill, which snowballed into street protests.
( again it is the common man using twitter and blogs and not BJP)
Digvijay Singh, who heads the committee on communications strategy, said the party was concerned about the march the BJP had stolen in terms of the social media. "Narendra Modi has a sanchar kendra near Ahmedabad for tracking the social media," :rotfl: ( NaMo only sees tweets and blogs praising him like the duffer)he said, adding that a report on a counter-strategy would be submitted to Rahul Gandhi in the next ten days.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi spent almost two hours at the session on emerging political challenges at the Congress chintan shivir in Jaipur, in the course which the three Cs were discussed: communalism, corruption and coalition. She maintained a studious silence throughout. :rotfl:
Science and technology minister S Jaipal Reddy made two significant points. He said the Congress would have to undertake an exercise in social engineering in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar(danger to India in the long run naturally) in order to establish itself in those states. He said that OBCs should be actively wooed. He also expressed the view that the Congress should not be on the defensive on the corruption issue.(no shame at all) It should not appear in the public mind as being the source of corruption but should take the issue head on.
Congress leader Vayalar Ravi said there was no need to be wary of UPA II being seen as a pro-subsidy regime, because the US and OECD countries too disbursed heavy subsidies to farmers.
( what a comparison)

The ban was an over reaction - agreed, and it goes without saying that Kamal's right to free speech has been infringed upon.

But, what almost everybody has forgotten, is that Chennai has seen some tense times lately, with the US embassy being pelted with stones. Thus, violence is a real possibility and not imagined.

That being said, only the state should have the monopoly over violence and the movie should have been released. If these gangsters had taken violence, the state could have come down heavily on them. But....

SwamyG ji, this is what RamaY ji said : "KH's cries are all about money money money. No principles."

The suggestion about revenge politics is a statement of a fact not an approbation. And while KH has a strong moral case in this instant, he has to realise that he is essentially alone. So feelings would not help is cause nor his money. If there is a rabid dog in the street, you avoid that street and advise others to avoid that street till you or somebody more competent can make arrangements for the dog.

Alternatively one can hold ones breath till the dog gets taken care of. But only at the cost of certain other things which may be more important even if less urgent.

KH is a part of a system that believed in ivory towers. Well even guys in ivory towers have to get out their ivory towers at times. They too need to be careful about the dog. The system (even the 15% of it that does work) should ideally be meant for the most weak of the society. Even that faces challenges on account of 85% of the system that cares only for itself. And KH cannot now claim full benefits of even the raha-saha 15%.

This 15:85 is from his own mentors. These are not my figures.

It is atrocious for BRF members to say the elected CM of a state is nut job and the govt decision to ban a communally sensitive (by the very admission of the film maker who removed certain scenes after being suggested so by some representatives of Muslims - what about other Muslims?) movie.

Every other claim is baseless and without proof the respected members should not throw mud on CM of a state. She is acting in the role of CM.

She, as a CM of the state, has every right to be over cautious because
- KH made an ass of himself by talking about money instead of principles and stand on freedom of expression (unlike MFH)
- KH himself made a political comment and it is DMK who made the allegation that JJ is harassing KH for that and not KH
- JJ pushed aside all other topics and just mentioned the law and order situation. The state is not equipped to provide security to 541 movie theaters as if they have no other job than protecting KH's political interests and SwamyG's sensitivities.
- TN Muslims have a known history of inciting violence for no reason. Add Kudankulam agitations and you have million+ non-state actors who can make a mess out of this situation.

***

If JJ is anti-nationalistic 50% of the time, then she is 50% of the time nationalist, which is much better than 0% nationalistic policies of her opponents.

1. You mean one can't have a different opinion on an elected official from that of the majority of those who cast votes in that state ?? (Added later: in India, even majority votes is not a requirement to get to power)
2. Can you enumerate the difference between 'selected' and 'elected' PM? If Modi is not declared as PM candidate prior to elections and later on party gives him the post after winning- is he an elected or selected PM?

Selected PMs: Come up by singing Ma Maino Sigh. You see the results.
Elected PMs come up on their own merit (Vajpayee, Indira, PVNR <- yes he did contest his AP seats and has an illustrious political career leading to PM Position): You know the results.

Selected Presidents/VP: Raul Gandi, you know he is called Duffer-e-hind. Or Pratibha Patil, the national cook of Ma Maino
Elected President: Avul Pakir Jainulabdin Abdul Kalam <- Bharat Ratna

On the results - it is there for you to see.

You can have all the opinions about an elected official, your opinion is useless., just like my opinions on all selected officials. The fact though is, elected officials have come up on their own merit while selected officials come up by being bootlickers. If one cannot recognize that fact, then they are nut jobs. However much one hates Amma or Modi, one has to recognize the fact that they came up on their own merit. Particularly for later, the odds stacked against a backward caste tea stall owner's son from the community of shoe makers to become a 3 time chief minister in a row of a major happening state is an achievement that whether you hate him or not has to be acknowledged. At this stage, it is immaterial if that person comes up as a PM by "selection" or "election"., at least he is publicly tested instead of being foisted upon just because he was the most prominent boot licker or had the proverbial silver spoon up his a$se (oops his mouth).

So calm down, let the politics of TN play out., let the fringe lunatics make a fool for themselves., TN is going to be highly polarized soon. Of course Amma does not want to be sitting on a Godhra like incident when the spark ignites. There are enough sickularists who would be happy to hang her first by the slimiest thread., damn the nation and damn the future and damn the morals.

Disha, You don't have to sell to me on why Modi is worth leading the country...you can do a simple search on my posts to figure out what I think.

The point is only about JJ, and how much she can be trusted as a reliable partner to Modi. Obviously Modi needs her and we all hope well for the alliance - but lets not be blind to what can happen down the road. If you think JJ can be trusted as an alliance partner, feel free to express your opinions. But lets not shut somebody else out from expressing his opinion on the specious logic that 'elected' officials cannot be questioned on their mental faculties.

It is atrocious you are throwing CT's around, the CM of the state had a very real Law and Order problem, a petrol bomb was thrown at a Theatre in the state.

Stop trying to deny the Truth, the movie was Banned due Fundamentalism of the variety that attacked the US embassy in Chennai. and which is praised by the Ruling Elite at the center opposition in the state. The opposition in the state is deflecting blame from its past policies.

State Home Ministers in India have been Jailed in this country when thier Police departments shoot down Gangsters in encounters. In such a situation anyone not part of UPA cannot take a risk with the Law and order situation and a the possibility rioter being killed or injured which would have happened had the movie been released.

Rather than tackling the people support such anti-social elements through Media and Politics lets not go around the wrong tree.

The whole unfortunate incident is due to Appeasement politics of certain National and regional Parties to the detriment of the nation.

Parties who released Coimbatore blasts suspects earlier, removed Pota, appointed Sachar committee, cooked the Justice Banarjee commission report and praised by certain media outlets are solely responsible for the sad state of affairs. Their policies are bound to the demands of Sharia compliance which will cause social upheaval. If such Politicians, Media, Intellectual supporters were put out of business there would not be such a sad state of affairs today.

Askkrishna-> the Ban was not an Overreaction, if such a Ban was not imposed Riots in Chennai TN was a very real fear. The people who asked for the Ban had no qualms in attacking the US embassy even though many of rioters relatives depend on US and Gulf visas. Do you think Burning Kamal's house on Eldam's road is far fetched?

The Vishwaroopam and Ashish Nandy taught me one thing. If you need to fight the CON MAFIA and PAID MEDIA, you have to be very smart. You have to lead them to poke their eye with their own hand. The ITALIAN MAFIA has been fighting a battle using infiltrators, traitors who despise India, MAFIA NGOs whose sole aim to get a complete handle on all State resources. They work in tandem 24x7x365 attack mode, keep the conversation communal, its all about Hindu vs rest or Dalivt vs UC or BC vs UC or Middle class vs Poor. Make Indians feel guilty of their own heritage, culture, wealth, religion and all the hate should be directed to RSS/BJP and MODI. That plan is working brilliantly. The franchising of this master plan paid rich dividends for CON MAFIA. They can loot 1,76,000 lakh crores in 2G or 1,80, 000 crores in Coal but change every conversation from corruption to crime to poverty to Paki terrorism into Hindu vs Muslim or UC vs Lowe Caste by their foot soldiers and paint any one opposing it as Hindu fanatic or Internet Hindu or Sanghi or Saffron or simply Modi supporter and invoke Hitler's name.

We now just saw the tactical brilliance you need to harass and corrode sickular MAFIA.

1. JJ may have selfish motive but her plan was brilliant. Just like the ITALIAN MAFIA which was using state apparatus and corrupted/communal Judges or CBI or IB or RAW or NIA or PAID MEDIA or even PAID goonda groups like Ram Sena , you need to take advantage of every possible chance given by SICKULAR MAFIA to calmly attack from behind the scenes and give them a financial blow and if necessary use all available means.

As we have seen, the sickular MAFIA and PAID MEDIA were totally confused should and attacked every one on the earth expect Islamist groups. The worst word they used is "Fringe Group". Some screwed up journalist even attacked Modi supporters not coming forward to support Kamal Hassan.

2. Learn from Ashish Nandy episode. The NDA and in particular BJP has to plan carefully to see the divisions in this MAFIA network and attack them one by one causing confusion in their ranks.

Look at this carefully.

http://www.firstpost.com/india/caste-an ... _medium=hp
Yet, it’s easy to see how Nandy landed himself in this colossal mess. Much of his early academic writing was given over to making sense of India through the prism of two of its abiding passions: cricket and Bollywood. And in the straitjacketed world of academia, Nandy has always been something of an eccentric. For these reasons, his work was initially seen to be lacking in the gravitas that the left-liberal academic community cloaked itself in, and therefore he was denied full membership into their elite world – until overseas recognition gave him the badge of honour. Nandy burnished those credentials even further with his excessively shrill denunciation of the Indian right-wing movement, and in particular of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the context of the 2002 riots.

Well, so long as you are only abusing the right-wing in India, you can get away with pretty much anything. It’s true of course that the Gujarat government too filed a case against him on the grounds that he was inciting hatred among communities, but nothing ever came of it. If anything, it only served to endear him even further to the liberal academic community.

But with his most recent pronouncements, targeting Dalits, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes for his pop-sociological ruminations on corruption, Nandy has squandered all that hard-earned political and academic goodwill.

Perhaps Nandy should stick to Modi-bashing. It’s a comfortable cocoon for an academician. And a good career move, too.

The takleef about Nandy is because he is thought to be UC Hindu bashing SC/ST/BC. If only people knew he was a Christian, this would not have become such a big issue.

http://www.firstpost.com/india/shah-ruk ... 07048.html
The case of sociologist Ashis Nandy, who is now being accused of making anti-Dalit statements, is exactly the same kind of situation. Nandy has been pilloried for making the simple point that while the upper classes know how to hide their corruption, the OBCs and SC/STs are yet to achieve this level of sophistication, and hence appear more apparently corrupt that the rest. (Read what Nandy said here)

However, the similarity to the SRK predicament lies not in Nandy being misunderstood or misquoted, but in this fact: just as SRK is expected to carry the cans for all Muslims when it comes to terror, in the case of Hindus they have to offer regular mea culpas for caste discrimination all the time. All Hindus are supposed to be tarred with the same caste brush. It’s stereotyping at work, just as SRK said it.

In the case of Ashis Nandy, who ironically hails from an elite Bengali Christian background but is not avowedly a practitioner of the faith, his statement about OBCs and Dalits being “most” corrupt was assumed to come from an upper caste Hindu bias. Hence the extreme anger about his statements. In India, all derogatory statements about Dalits are presumed to come from a caste-oriented Hindu dispensation. That he was actually speaking up on behalf of OBCs and Dalits is almost immaterial.

Ashish Nandy's is 400% correct only.

He was talking from the Christian conversion missionary perspective. After all majority of Dalits are converted to Christianity using few Rupees benefit.

The question one should have asked is "Dear Ashish, is that your experience from your Dalit conversions to Christianity? Then isn't such bribery religiously sanctioned practice in Christianity? Then can we say Christianity is the root of corruption in India?"

Totally disagree, Ashish Nandy is totally incorrect, the term Dalit itself is offensive and hois caste based thinking is totally wrong.

Conversion is more amoung the economically poor unfortunately many are in the Sc/ST community in our country. Thier fight for decent standard of living is being misused.

However Ashish Nandy comments are absolutely disgusting and wrong especially is Wb example.

That is one issue I have talking about lately. The Bharatiya Nationalists wouldn't even know which group to accuse for such outbursts and aspersions, when they come from Ashish Nandy.

The blame lies squarely on the Macaulayites, who are India-hating and consider themselves better than others. They think that others like them who have drunk from the Macaulayite well of virtues, they are above other Indians.

One needs to better define these ideological/psychological positions. Here is a starting.

Rama garu....nice try, but epic fail.

First, I have not called JJ names. In the past I have pointed out her nature - eccentric, hard to please, filled with vengeance ityadi. If you come to the conclusion she is a 'nut job' that is your opinion. The aam admi in TN knows this as a fact - as simple as the Sun rises in the East. So 'thatha' spent crores of tax payers money (and probably swindled crores in the process) in building the Legislative Assembly on Mount Road, Madras. Well 'amma' did not like it when she came to power. So she discarded that (did not even use it), and used the old one in Fort George. You decide if she is nut job or not.

Sure all CMs have duties to ensure law and orer.

Here is what Sandhya Jain has to say:
http://www.niticentral.com/2013/01/cast ... oopam.html
As recently as December 30, 2012, the Finance Minister attended a book release function in Chennai (‘P Chidambaram – Oru Paaravai’, a compilation of articles by popular writers on him), where Kamal Haasan startled the gathering by expressing a wish to see P Chidambaram become the next Prime Minister. Celebrities at the event included DMK president M Karunanidhi (who endorsed this view), superstar Rajinikanth, poet Vairamuthu and Tamil Nadu Congress president BS Gnanadesikan. Political observers feel this did not go down well in some quarters.
Another one here: http://daily.bhaskar.com/article/NAT-TO ... 5-NOR.html
At a function held recently, Kamal Haasan had suggested that a 'veshti or dhoti clad Tamilian should become Prime Minister', apparently referring to Finance Minister P Chidambaram's suitability for the top job.

Now, reports suggest that the whole controversy that Vishwaroopam got embroiled in might have something to do with this comment of his.
One more: http://www.southdreamz.com/2013/01/why- ... assan.html
Kamal Hassan probably did not realise that by praising P Chidambaram, he had unwittingly incurred Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa‘s displeasure. According to political observers, the ADMK supremo was irked by the actor’s words as she harbours ambitions of becoming the prime minister one day. This apparently contributed to the actor’s present woes.

The alacrity with which the state government accepted the plea of pro-Muslim outfits to ban Vishwaroopam suggests that there is definitely a subtext. Last year, another film faced similar protests. Nevertheless, the Vijay-starrer ‘Thuppaki‘ enjoyed a successful run even though a few organisations in Tamil Nadu railed against its unfavourable depiction of Muslims. {note: Vijay had incurred 'thatha's wrath, and his movies suffered because of it}
Anyone knowledgeable about TN knows who that 'some quarters' is. JJ is still angry about the Sivaganga situation. This does not absolve Chidambaram of the election manipulation allegation. It is obvious, he is corrupt and his image has suffered in the minds of the educated and middle class.

How is Kamal an ass for talking about money, huh?

It mind sound patronizing (but it is not), but let me tell you this - in TN if one invites the wrath of 'thatha' or 'amma', nobody can save you. The only option is to fall at their feet. Kamal will be hounded if he openly comments it is business and political interests behind this drama. There are two other ways a 'victim' can get some resolution: (a) Seek Central's help (b) Seek well-wishers help who have connections to the 'offended'. In this case AIADMK and INC are at logger heads, there is no way INC can pressure AIADMK, JJ will turn the screws on them - and she will relish it.

DMK and AIADMK have goons, like other political parties - who will beat people up, burn buses, loot stores and burn/destory publishing houses - press, journals ityadi. If Kamal earned the wrath of JJ, only JJ could save him. Or well wishers. Reports indicate Sivakumar (a staunch Hindu guy, plus a strong caste conscious guy) along with others aided in some of the truce. These dravidian goons have kept the Muslim goons under check. Sadly, it is the goons that rule TN.

Thanks for highlighting that I am sensitive. I like to point out I am handsome, sensible and dharmic too :-)

TN Muslims have a known history of inciting violence :-))))))) You state it like as if that is so unique about TN Muslims. Boss, before Independence there have been more riots in TN, than after. DMK and AIADMK have courted the Muslim blocs for ages since the 60s. The 'tamil identity' or 'tamil nationalism' advocated by these ideologues and parties had forced the Tamil Muslims to strike alliances or live with that dual identity. In TN, like elsewhere the Muslims are not monolithic. There is this one group that looks down upon the other. The latter is considered to be mostly converts and local population. The former pride in having Turkic, Pashtun ityadi blood in them.

Because of these alliances and appeasement, TN Muslims have not rioted - they are in pockets in TN and constitute a fairly small percentage when you compare other States.

I know BRFites jump against INC policies of appeasing Muslims. So why is there no outrage when JJ does the same? Why reserve contempt to just Rahul and MuKa? That brings to the question, are you for 'JJ' only because she is against 'PC'? Can you clarify? JJ is not corruption free, she has allegations and charges bestowed upon her by 'thatha', some true some false. The common man on the streets will tell you, both of them are corrupt and seek revenge against each other. If you think these leaders are nut cases, it is your opinion. JJ went against Kanchi Seer, no? Jayendra swamigal did not know what hit him.

The Indian Muslims, or the fanatics of any religion - be it Christianity, Sikhism, Hinduism ityadi should be rightly criticized when the situation warrants. All news items and articles point that the angles in this story are (a) Political (b) Business. The religious angle, if at all, is far less. For crying out loud, the Muslims have not even watched this movie. This is not to absolve any Muslims if they get unnecessarily takleefed by movies; and neither does this absolve Kamal of his double-standards, nor is this snatching credit from JJ for some of the good work she continues to do.

SwamyG garu... I am trying my best here ;)

1. If Kamal has a right to "freedom of expression" he shouldn't have made all those cozy efforts to molly-colly muslims. He should have stood by his principle. He did not do that.

2. Amma converting Tathaa's vidhan sabha - I read that she converted it to a super specialty hospital. i think that is the best use of that money instead of vidhan sabha.

3. All the allegations of Amma taking vengeance are just allegations. There is no proof.

4. There is no proof that amma was/is appeasing the minorities...except people making unncessary connection.. KH is the one who got minorities into equation by first showing them the movie...

More than anything,
Any patriotic indian must be happy to see such fights between Dhimmis, Seculars, PSeculars ityadi. As a patriotic Indian I am very happy that KH is broke, got beaten and is rolling on the floor.

I love KH for his acting and creative skills. He is just reaping what he sowed in other realms.

Even after this KH will behave like the pSecular that he is.

Coming to JJ, I am happy that she is able to push the envelope on three anti-national groups - MSM, pSeculars and Seculars.

More power to her.

1. I agree with you Kamal should not have backtracked. Of course not many of us even watched the movie. Within reasonable social parameters, I think no community is outside the scope of insults and criticisms. Censor Board did its job.

2. Why convert it to Hospital? It was totally unnecessary.

3. Do you expect JJ to come out and give it in writing :-) ? To any current or former TN resident, JJ's nature and behavior is recognizable. If you think it is has no weight, then lots of theories and discussions in BRF are crazier than this simple reasoning. You pick 10 aam admi from TN streets and ask them about JJ saar.

4. DMK and AIADMK have brokered alliances with minority groups for ages.
http://www.asiantribune.com/news/2010/1 ... grievances
....former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Ms J Jayalalithaa has assured the Christian Community that she will redress their grievances if she comes to power with the blessings of Jesus Christ in the general election to be held in May 2011.

Ms Jayalalithaa also assured that she would secure for Dalit Christians the benefits enjoyed by Dalits, on coming to power after the assembly elections.
False promises or courting the minorities for votes? You decide.

If you cannot decide, here is one more:
http://news.outlookindia.com/items.aspx?artid=717433
"If the AIADMK alliance comes to power in Tamil Nadu after the polls, the government will help devout Christians travel to Israel, just like Muslims go for the Haj pilgrimage," she said, addressing an election meeting in Kanyakumari.
This is in Kanyakumari.....the strong hold of Christians. You decide if it is minority appeasement.

Once upon a time, TMMK had grudges against JJ, now they are kind of friends onlee. JJ has a 'Hindutva' streak in her, she kind of leans towards Modi/BJP. But then she can and will do anything within TN to spite MuKa; even if it means to strike alliances with radical political groups and appeasing minorities.

Boss I live in Chennai was there when the Embassy riot happened, the TMMK supporters are serious. It is politics, thats because all non UPA CM's are afriad of not being secular. A riot would have happenned and resulting police action would have meant huge headaches.

This Dhoti clad stuff is pure BS, it was put by MK to take the heat off TMMK

A non UPA home minister was sent to jail for an encounter where state police killed a gangster linked to Dawood Ibrahim. Keep believing what you have to but the Movie has been banned in UAE, Malayasia, SL etc.

If want to live a lie by being in the USA, you are free to do so.

JJ courts all types of votes and I dont vote for her.

But in this case no ban on the movie would have meant shit hitting the fan and INC and media doing its secular drama.

Regarding the assembly building, why spend 1200 crores of tax payer money on a Secretariat??? there was no consultation of the public.

The people at large have no grudge that the state secretariat is not that grand

Yes I want a 0:0:100 streak leader from TN. Is there anyone at this point?

Media coverage of Muslim demonstrators and rioters on Indian streets would help awaken the Dhimmi among us. It could of course have the opposite effect as well, where they think all is gone, and better to jump into the Islamic bandwagon! But at a distance, Dhimmi Indians who have been drinking the sickular Koolaid may now smell the coffee.

Too much mob violence on the streets and the system may break down in parts.

For too long many Indians, especially those who grew up in Nehru's time, have been in a long sickular trance. That trance can be broken by applied attention, and accompanied news analysis from non-sickular media.

It would be important that the polarization happens at the OBC level between Islamics and the rest.

VijayK and RamaY - Thank you for posting the results.

Note that these are the elections that are conducted by AP government (no election commission) by violating all the rules. It is the brute force of the opposition that will get them some seats. Another thing is that these are non-party basis elections but still all the news outlets are able to give party basis results. Karimnagar - Congress swept while TRS is no where and YSR got seats. This tells that these elections cannot be considered for analysis.

The Nielson survey may be better than these election results. Nielson did survey and gave some results. However, all the survey folks are not revealing the information related to AP. They say congress is losing, TRS is losing, Jagan is not gaining beyond certain districts but bloody hell they don't write who is gaining.

The point is why appreciate a leader's action, when she if using a community to incite violence? Especially a community that is prone to violence, seeks victimhood, harbors more radicals with connections to Pakistan and other terrorist states, eh?

You have not answered my questions seeking clarification :-). Should I assume, my assumptions are true ?

That is why we should use these results as coercive/money-power index and weight the other surveys accordingly.

AP congress chief suspends 9MLAs. But he doesn't want to reveal the names of the suspended :rotfl:

The other day this thought came to my mind.

The west minister system ensures that the leadership is at least two steps away from public rejection. First the MPs and then the political parties. UPA added the 3rd layer - party nominated slave candidate.

The public are not given a chance to elect their govt. They can only elect an MP, who often is most accessible to them. But the MP is controlled by the parties, who give the nomination forms. Even if the people elect all 540MPs from independents, they will not be able to elect a nationalist candidate because President can only invite the largest party for govt. formation. The parties are in the hands of few individuals/families. This ensures that only few families are allowed to rule.

In Britain it is defined so because only the aristocratic families wanted to control the system.

That is why USA went away from it.

In independent India some anti-national elements adopted this method.

As these are not direct elections so results can't be interpreted too much next elections. However, these elections are indicative of power-play at local level.

There are glaring abnormalities to note. In Warangal and Karimnagar that so-called T core districts, TRS is completely amiss given its bravado on T as its Adda. TRS couldn't do power-play to get their candidates elected. (From news, TRS went and supported to INC despite TDP leader Erraballi giving support to TRS in Warangal). Another wtf is Nellore. Despite YSRC sweep in recent MLA and MP elections, they completely missed here. They couldn't do same rowdism this time? Here again looks like YSRC supporting Congress.

That will never happen as long as the Aam Admi bears the burnt like in WB where Hindus have to compulsorily contribute to Milad ul Nabi, Hindu women are abducted and temples destroyed.

Or in North Kerala where a guys spinal column is broken for daring to look at a burkha clad woman or an autodriver between for transporting women from a community or husband of pregnant woman beaten because he does not look muslim enough or a gopi chandan wearing guy is beaten up for driking tea with a Burqa clad woman in Coimbatore or guy in Cochin being doused with Kerosene and being burned as an Honour Killing Media has been silent

Its only when the Secular s and their Interests start getting hit for the dogs they have unleashed in society will people sit and start taking notice. Otherwise 100's of everyday incidents are being hidden away from the public psyche.
