Do you know why the people of our country had to face murderous terror attacks on 26/11/2008 in Mumbai?

The Truth is not what the News and Media tells you out loud, its what they tell you with subtlety. This is because the truth is so shocking!

The Media has a great role in keeping us informed. But the truth is always for the seeker, not for the person who goes on about his work, his chores and commitments and occasionally reads the newspaper. Nor is the truth for the person who doesn’t analyze what he or she reads.

In the following presentation all the facts mentioned were printed in highly reputed newspapers, magazines, websites and were shown on Indian news channels as well. They can easily be verified with some effort. All of them.

The Times of India (TOI) on several occasions has reported that the Mumbai Terror Attacks were orchestrated by the Lashkar E Taiba whose agent David Headley who incidentally works for the Pakistani Intelligence Agency ISI as well conducted recces in Mumbai to collect information and provide logistics to the LeTfor the terror strike.

David Headley’s background is interesting as he was arrested by the American authorities for narcotics trafficking. He then was recruited by US Government to penetrate Al-Qaeda and LeT and provide the US authorities with intelligence on narcotics trafficking and the terrorism that it fuels. (Source:TOI)

David Headley then apparently turned rogue and defected to the ISI to assist them in providing logistics for the terrorist attacks on 26/11 which was carried out by the LeTterrorists. (Source:TOI)

The TOI also reported that David Headley’s alias was Daood Sayed Gilani and that hinted that David Headley could possibly be a relative of Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.



The TOI reported that Indian Intelligence Agencies had picked up on their surveillance that David Headley had carried out his surveys for the landing of the terrorists using an established smuggling network.

• It was also reported that the boats were used to conduct the survey for the landing of the terrorists. In fact the very boat used by David Headley to conduct his surveys for the attacks belonged to a well known smuggler Chand Madar.

• Chand Madar was heavily involved in diesel smuggling and was beginning to affect the business of his friend and associate Mohammed Ali Shaikh who was also an established smuggler of Arms ,Diesel and Narcotics.

• The docks where Arms, Diesel and Narcotics are smuggled into, are under Shaikh’s control. Shaikhis unofficially acknowledged as the King of the Mumbai Docks.

• Shaikh who incidentally was a BSP MLA candidate was the one to suggest to Madarthat he help Headley in his survey mission. Shaikhwas eventually booked for masterminding the murder of Chand Madar.

• Shaikh is a well-known agent of Dawood Ibrahim, the most wanted terrorist in India. All the Arms, Diesel and Narcotics that are smuggled to the Mumbai Docks originate from the docks of Karachi, Pakistan which are totally under the control of Global Terrorist and Narcotics Dealer Dawood Ibrahim who is sheltered and financed by the ISI of Pakistan.

Profile of Dawood Ibrahim

Dawood Ibrahim is a fugitive, a drug baron and a terrorist. He orchestrated the Mumbai Bomb Attacks in 1993 which killed 257 people and it was confirmed by the Russian Intelligence Agency that Dawood Ibrahim indeed provided the Logistics and Support for the Mumbai Terror Strikes on 26/11 which killed 166 people. He has been accused of being an agent of the ISI of Pakistan and that the Pakistani Government protects him and uses his organization to attack India . Hence being accused in such heinous attacks would make him an anti-national. However the truth is that for an anti-national, Dawood Ibrahim has massive financial interests in India.

The Indian authorities are fully aware of his activities and his interests in India.

So how can this be possible? How can a terrorist’s organization be utilized to carry out terror attacks in India and at same time be allowed to flourish in India ? How can the Indian Authorities allow this to happen? This leads us to the next question, who are the Indian Authorities ?



Who are the Indian Authorities?

The Indian Agencies responsible for intelligence, counter intelligence and national security are broadly speaking the following:

• Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)

• Intelligence Bureau(IB)

• Central Intelligence Bureau(CBI)

• National Investigation Agency(NIA)

• National Security Adviser(NSA)

All these Agencies are answerable to the Ministry of Home Affairs which itself comes under the direct control of the Indian Government.

In the aftermath of the Mumbai Attacks, the TOI printed in an article that it had acquired a report from the Ministry of Home Affairs which stated that the MHA was fully aware of the extent of Sheikh’s smuggling network and Dawood Ibrahim’s activities and that they were thriving because they enjoyed the patronage of a powerful minister from Maharashtra! The MHA even mentioned the name of this politician/minister in this report.

The top brass of the Indian Security Apparatus of India has been corrupted and made apathetic because of the influence wielded by this minister. This official apathy led to the Mumbai Terror Attacks .

Who is this minister?

There is only one minister from Maharashtra who has this much of power. He was the elected as the chief minister of Maharashtra several times and was the defense minister of India once. This minister has been accused of corruption of the highest order on several occasions and he has never seen the inside of a jail cell.

That minister is Sharad Pawar!

R R Patil is the current Home Minister and was the former Deputy Chief Minister and current Home Minister of Maharashtra. Patil is a senior minister in the NCP and is known as “ Mr. Clean” for his “Clean” image. He is a trusted and efficient executive of SharadPawar.

He was recently caught on camera socialising with three known aides of Dawood Ibrahim. The Clippings of this video were shown on CNN-IBN. Patil commented in the aftermath of the exposure, that he did not know who these people were.

The Aides are:

Salim Patel : Prime suspect in the Hyderabad Bomb Blasts Case. A well known extortionist.
Mobin Qureshi : Prime suspect in the murder of BJP MLA Prem Kumar Sharma. Also a well known extortionist.
Irfan Qureshi : A Blacklisted Builder.




Aftermath of the attacks

When Vilasrao Deshmukh was asked to resign from his post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra after the attacks, there was an instant clamour for the coveted position of Chief Minister.

Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayan Rane of the Congress Party was coveting it with great desire. But he was sidelined and the post was given to Ashok Chavan.

Angry with the Congress Party and NCP for being ignored, Rane directly approached the media and stated that the Mumbai Terror Attacks could not have been possible on such a devastating scale without local support. He also offered to release the names of all the Indian political parties which had financed the Mumbai Terror attacks.

This set off an immediate panic, the party bosses of the Congress and the NCP had several meetings with NarayanRanebehind closed doors.

After Rane emerged from the meetings, he was accosted by the media, who asked the minister about his earlier claims. He conveniently developed amnesia and refused to comment. After reading about links between a dreaded terrorist and the politicians it can easily be concluded that Indian ministers were involved in the Mumbai Attacks. This because their links with the terrorist who supported the attacks weren’t exposed by anyone, including the Indian Intelligence Agencies after the attacks. It was only because of the protection offered by the politicians that this Narco Terror Network was allowed to grow to such an extent that it could support the carnage in Mumbai.

They were fully aware of the Mumbai Attacks because of their close proximity to a dangerous terrorist and were almost exposed by a rival politician who claimed that they had even financed it. If so, then Sharad Pawar and his associates stand guilty of treason of the highest order. They have conspired in the mass murder of their own people.

If indeed the State Government of Maharashtra was aware of the attack or had financed it then some questions will come to mind.

2. Why is this happening?

These two questions will be answered later in this presentation.

But is the NCP alone responsible for this treason? What about their Political Rivals such as the BJP, Congress and the Samajwadi? If the Intelligence Agencies, the MHA and the Media are aware of this conspiracy, then the other Political Parties must also be aware of the same. Why are they Silent? To shed some light on this, we must again follow the money trail left behind the Narcotics Trafficking and Corruption.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC) are sworn rivals who will embarrass one another whenever an opportunity presents itself.

The NCP-Congress led government is in power right now in Maharashtra, so why doesn’t the BJP expose the NCP-Congress led government for their misdeeds in Maharashtra and bring it down. The answer to that question is because the BJP is also deeply involved in anti-national activities!

The TOI has reported on links between the ISI Sponsored Dawood Ibrahim’s Cartel and the Shiv Sena. This actually seems ridiculous at first because Dawood Ibrahim is a Muslim who is sheltered by ISI in Pakistan which is a Muslim country. And the Shiv Sena prides itself on Hindutva and Marathi Pride.

But this is where the tempting profits of narcotics trafficking come into picture. All the narcotics which originates from the docks of Karachi, lands on the docks of Mumbai. It is then subsequently distributed by the cadre and foot soldiers of the Shiva Sena! The Shiv Sainiks are heavily involved in Narcotics Trafficking . Bal Thackeray and the ShivSenaare close business partners of Dawood Ibrahim. This is why the BJP doesn’t expose the NCP/Congress. Outlook Magazine has also reported that Dawood Ibrahim has made generous donations to the top politicians of the BJP such as LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj through Hawala Channels close to him and middle men such as Romesh Sharma respectively (whose task was to identify targets in New Delhi for murder and extortion for Dawood Ibrahim) with the blessings of the BJP government. L K Advani was named as a beneficiary in the Jain HawalaScandal, where ISI controlled hawala agents funneled money to Advani in return for cooperation.


The BJP has sold out the country because they are also on the take from Dawood Ibrahim. When they were in power they did not take any steps to bring in Dawood Ibrahim but actually allowed him to flourish using Sharad Pawar. Numerous terror attacks happened when the BJP were in power. • Syed Shah Geelani, the noted Hurriyat Leader and Kashmiri Separatist was named as being a beneficiary in the Jain Hawala Scandal, where ISI controlled financial hawala agents were reportedly making payoffs to the Hurriyat Leader. After reading all this information about the elected politicians of this country having such close links with the most dreaded enemies of the state it is clear that it is not only Sharad Pawar and the NCP, but the whole Indian Government which has sold out the people of this country to its enemies because of it’s insatiable greed!!!

So does this mean that the ISI backed Dawood Ibrahim has a vise like grip over the Indian Government? Is he literally running the country? Is he in total and absolute control? If not him is the Pakistani ISI in control of India? Far from it.

The politicians and elected leaders of India are still very much in power. The nexus between the Politician and the Narco-terrorists/ISI is simply a symbiotic relationship which allows both to thrive. The Narcotics are smuggled in by a sinister terror sponsoring organization like the ISI under the protection of the Indian Government, which is then paid off with the super profits earned by narcotics trafficking.

So then why terrorism? Why are the terrorist attacks being allowed ? And why are the Indian Politicians in bed with India hating terrorists? Couldn’t the Indian Politicians have all the money they wanted from Dawood Ibrahim and leave the civilians in peace? Why are we getting caught up in this? How do we figure in this?

What exactly is going on?


To answer that question we must again analyze the nature of the relationship that the Indian Government has with Dawood Ibrahim. Dawood Ibrahim was declared a Global Terrorist and is on India’s most wanted list. The Indian Intelligence agencies know everything that there is know about him, his whereabouts and his financial investments.

The Indian Intelligence and Security Forces won’t move against or even weaken him because they have been subverted by a very corrupt but democratically elected Indian Government. The Indian Authorities could bring Dawood Ibrahim’s Organization to its knees if it wanted to. The same with the Indian Army. It could crush the Pakistani Terrorists if it so chose to. But that is not happening. Why doesn’t anyone act and finish this terror menace ? What is happening is pure deception!

Dawood Ibrahim is an agent of the Pakistani Intelligence Agency the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). But then again Dawood Ibrahim is working hand in glove with Indian Politicians also.

How can the same terrorist work for both countries? Especially after considering the facts that countries like India and Pakistan have engaged in three large scale wars, have had numerous clashes over Kashmir and have a deep set hostility towards one another.

There can only be one logical conclusion. The Indian Government and the Pakistani Government may overtly be enemies. But they are secretly the best of friends!!! All the terrorist strikes are carried out on the Indian people by the Pakistani Terrorists at the behest of the Indian Government. This is a policy and has little to do with corruption. The terror attacks are happening in total coordination between the ISI and the Indian Government along the with Army and the Intelligence Wings. The Indian Army and the Pakistani Army have a good understanding and communication between one another. The corrupt Generals of the Indian Army and the Pakistani Army simply strike each other to keep the Kashmir Dispute alive. The Indian Army will sacrifice some of its soldiers for some Pakistani Terrorists. But neither side will try to obliterate the other. The supposed “hostility” is simply allowed to perpetuate.

This is also why Pakistan will never hand over Ibrahim to India. Its because the Indian Government doesn’t want them to. It will expose the Indians as well as the Pakistanis. The reluctance of the Pakistanis to hand over Dawood Ibrahim to India shows a great understanding between India and Pakistan.

This shocking revelation leads us to our next question. Why is this happening? Why this Policy of Terror?

The terrorists were openly recruited by the Pakistani ISI after the creation of Bangladesh and were trained to fight the Jihad in Kashmir. But after sometime overcame temptation and quickly got mired in Narcotics Trafficking. The Pakistani establishment including the ISI, the Army and the Government is corrupt to its very core and is massively involved in the opium trade emanating from Afghanistan.

The Democratically elected Government of India sadly as scam after scam has convinced us is also corrupt to its very core. So is its Army which has a spotty past and has been mired in several purchase related scams.

The Indian Government wasn’t always this corrupt though. It was subverted by the greed of our wretched politicians after corruption was institutionalized during the reign of Indira Gandhi as Prime Minister. Since then our establishment has been taken over by criminals, thieves, traitors, embezzlers, murderers and above all, very convincing liars.

Somewhere after corruption became institutionalized in India, contacts were made between the ISI and the Indian Government and a secret friendship between great rivals was initiated. This is how Dawood Ibrahim, an Indian born criminal became a ISI asset. But the ISI asset also became an Indian asset. This asset was used to create large scale terror on order.

The Indian government uses terror as another instrument for mass control along with taxes and inflationary policies. Terrorism has the power to cause mass psychological trauma. That’s why it is so often used.

The Indian Governments along with the Pakistani Government respectively use terror to keep their respective country’s populations in a state of fear.

This fear makes us feel insecure, this fear reminds us that our lives can end any minute because of evil forces that exist in this world. This because after any terrorist strike, regardless of our fear and anger, we can only turn to one organization in the end for help. The Indian Government.

The Indian Government is aware of this and uses a propaganda of terror to reinforce this fear and their necessity from time to time.

The terrorist attacks are meant to are simply meant to remind us how fragile our lives are and ergo keep the Indian people in check. What we weren’t told, was that it was the very people we chose to govern us, who bred, fed and nourished these evil forces. Partly for their greed and partly for mass control.

This Terror Induced Mass Control is perceived by the Indian Government as an effective tool by which the Indian Government and its most important organs which includes Financial Regulators, the Intelligence Agencies, the Indian Army and the opposition parties which all put together make up less than 1% of the Indian Population exerts control over the remaining 99% of the population.

All the information presented previously was garnered from various media sources. The last two slides are the conclusions which can be arrived at based on the information presented so far. In that case, what was all the furore displayed by Indian Government over the Mumbai Attacks all about? What was the anger displayed by the Opposition Parties all about? What was Barack Obama’s speech at the TajHotel all about?

The answer to all these questions is the title of this Presentation. This is the Great Indian Lie. This is the farce. This is the conspiracy. This is the drama that all politicians participate in. Our elected politicians have very murky backgrounds. Any of them could potentially expose their rivals and bring them down. But they don’t. They just lie. And they lie big. Its what makes things work. It’s the grease in this engine we call a government. If they don’t lie, this engine will simply come to a grinding halt. Everyone who is in a position of power and influence knows this. And now so do you.

This lie was what allowed the Mumbai Terror Attacks to happen. It was responsible for the terror strike in Mumbai in 1991. It was responsible for the Delhi blasts, the Hyderabad Blasts and the Ahmedabad Blasts.

In short it was responsible for deaths of so many innocent people.

Though officially the case was transferred to the National Investigation Agency on Thursday, its authorities began probing it from February 21 when IEDs were detonated behind Dilsukhnagar bus-stop and near Konark theatre. Sources in the NIA said they had not stumbled upon any crucial evidence confirming complicity of a particular organisation so far. They are taking into custody members of previous terror modules having connection to Andhra Pradesh and persons hailing from the State arrested in other terror related cases. “We hoped this would give some leads to narrow down on suspects,” a police officer said.

Despite transferring the case to the NIA, different wings of the State police department too are working on the case based on the leads available. State police officials managed to develop images of the terror suspects based on the video captures by traffic surveillance cameras at Dilsukhnagar.

In the case of Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat blasts, we released portrait of a suspect but it turned out to be wrong,” an intelligence official recalled. The portrait of the suspect in the 2007 case was prepared with the help of an expert from Pune. In the present case, the video footage has images of the terror suspects — a pedestrian and a cyclist. But their faces were not clearly captured. With the help of the best laboratories in the country, the investigators developed the images. Now, they are verifying if persons with such facial features were found in any terror module busted in any part of the country.

Twenty-one days after the Dilsukhnagar terror attack, 81 out of the 350 cameras installed by the City Police in different junctions are still not working.

Attempts are on to revive them at the earliest by coordinating with other government agencies like Roads and Buildings and BSNL, a police officer said. “These cameras are supposed to be multi-purpose and not meant for monitoring the traffic movement and drivers violating the rules,” he pointed out.

3,000 cameras

Though the government announced that it would install over 3,000 surveillance cameras at public places in the State capital after the twin blasts, not a single new camera has been installed so far.

Sanction of funds, government procedures and technicalities would mean it would take some more days for the proposed plan to materialise, officials said.

However, the police are persuading private persons owning shops, complexes and malls on trunk routes and commercial localities to install the secret cameras for a better surveillance and improved security network.

HYDERABAD: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday officially took over probe into the Dilsukhnagar blasts case from state police. The probe by various agencies so far point to Yasin Bhatkal, Indian Mujahideen's top commander, as the brain behind February 21 terror strike. They suspect he may have carried out the blasts with the help of his aide Asadullah Akhtar alias Tabrez.

On Thursday, an NIA team, led by additional director-general Navneet Rajan Wasan and IG PV Ramashastry, arrived in the city. The team along with the NIA, Hyderabad branch office head Ravishankar Ayyanar and SP Mahesh Chandra Laddha held a detailed discussion with state director-general of police (DGP) V Dinesh Reddy and intelligence officials. Later in the day, they reviewed the twin blasts probe status with Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma and his Cyberabad counterpart Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.

Meanwhile, the NIT constituted a special investigation team (SIT) headed by DIG Ravishankar Ayyanar to probe the Dilsukhnagar blasts case.

After the discussions, the NIA officials stated that they were officially taking over the investigation and a separate first information report (FIR) was registered pertaining to the blast cases booked earlier at the Saroornagar and Malakpet police stations. The Hyderabad police have already handed over detailed investigation report to the NIA along with the forensic evidence.

At the meeting, investigators agreed that blasts could have been carried out by the IM operatives. The assumption was based on two factors. First, the confession of IM operative Syed Maqbool, who said that he along with another IM operative Imran Khan, had carried recce at several places in the city, including Dilsukhnagar, to identify places to carry out terror strikes, while the second was the video grab from a CCTV camera at the blast site in which a person who bore resemblance to top IM operative Yasin Bhatkal was seen moving with a cycle.

"Even about the suspect in the video footage, there is a lot of confusion as some investigators think he could be Yasin, while others feel that it could be Tabrez. The reason for the confusion is low quality of the video," a source said. However, the investigators have not found any leads so far about the involvement of local people in carrying out the twin blasts. According to sources, like in the case of the Lumbini and Gokul blasts, the IM operatives may not have utilised the services of any locals.

In the Lumbini and Gokul blasts, the Octopus had filed a chargesheet against seven accused, including Mohammed Akbar Ismail Chowdhary alias Sayeed, Anique Shafeeq Sayeed alias Anique, Riyaz Bhatkal alias Roshan Khan, Iqbal Bhatkal alias Mohammad Bhai, Farooq Sharfuddin Tarkash alias Abdullah, Mohammed Sadiq Ansar Ahmed Shaik alias Yaseer and Amir Reza Khan Alias Muttaki in 2009.

Incidentally, none of them was from the state and except the Bhatkal brothers and Amir Reza, the other four have already been arrested. After carrying out the twin blasts in 2007, the Bhatkal brothers had fled from the country. The investigators suspect that they might be in Pakistan. "We have information that Yasin also left the country recently and the three top operatives from Bhatkal village in Karnataka are suspected to be working with top LeT leaders in the neighbouring country," an intelligence officer said.

Earlier in the day, news channels flashed news about the arrest of 10 IM operatives by the NIA sleuths from Munger district in Bihar in connection with the Dilsukhnagar blasts. The 10 were reportedly picked up based on the confession of alleged city-based IM operative Obaid Ur Rehman, who is currently in the custody of NIA sleuths in Delhi. When contacted, top NIA sources revealed that the arrests in Munger were related to a counterfeit currency case and it had nothing to do with the Hyderabad blasts.

Nearly four weeks after the terrorists struck at Dilsukhnagar killing 17 persons, investigators are yet to achieve a breakthrough on the terror outfit and identity of persons involved in the attack.

With time running out, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the case, on Tuesday announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh for persons providing information leading to the arrest of the killers.

The bomb signature and material evidence found at the blast site had indicated possible involvement of the outlawed Indian Mujahideen (IM) but the police did not rule out if other outfits, including right-wing organisations, had masterminded the attack. The State police officials are banking on the crucial video footage of the suspects recorded by a traffic surveillance camera at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk.

Stuck despite leads

Despite claiming that they have ‘some leads’ on the suspects, the State police could not make any headway since the terrorists struck on February 21.

The NIA authorities already took into two alleged IM operatives Syed Maqbool and Imran Khan, who were arrested a few months ago by Delhi police and lodged in Tihar jail, to ascertain if they had any link with the Dilsukhnagar case. They also took into custody a youngster from Hyderabad, Obaid-ur-Rahman, who was arrested by the Karnataka police in another terror plot case in 2012.

Just going by whats happened in past investigations. Local police will do the initial investigation, on scene work - once NIA turns up there is an ego issue. Local police won't hand over evidence to NIA. Local politician won't give clearance to arrest so and so.

In HYD, there is some cleric - intel agencies/police know he is loosely tied with terror but not enough evidence to convict. Decision was taken not to touch him since he can win votes.

IM modus operandi is that they are not using locals any more for terror strikes, they use outsiders. So the ones who probably did Hyd attacks were probably from outside the state.

Ramana, this is a mixture of interference/ineptitude/incompetence at ALL levels not just NIA. Local police are sometimes even in cahoots with possible suspects because they come from a local influential family and so on (classic case see Bhatkal). Lack of training in conducting raid is an issue. Some cases local police tips off the criminal - Yasin Bhatkal Tambaram story Yasin Bhatkal got away in Mumbai as well (just typing this makes me think - is there a reason why he escaped raids twice via police tipping him off?). Politicians (why blame national level, there are even local dada's panchayat guys who have power to poke their noses into matters) interfere and don't allow a proper probe.

In HYD case, there is some link to some politician in Rajasthan who is under arrest for terror. They won't allow interrogation of him.

See Karnataka police arrest of the stadium blast case suspect from Bihar without informing local police. Nitish Kumar was upset about this calling the arrest unlawful because Bihar police wasn't informed!!

BUT when you look at it in a larger perspective - the NIA is actually needed for crimes that cross states (not just terror). NIA is there to move things faster bureaucracy wise - so they can arrest people quickly without the bureaucratic hassles (yes terrorists were indeed moving by the time clearance was given to launch raids). It takes time to get paperwork/channels etc through to conduct an arrest in another state with local police - by that time criminal would have moved on. Average case can take 10 days just to get clearance!!

NEW DELHI: Echoing the assessment that Wednesday's Bangalore blast was a terror strike, the Union home ministry pointed to an Indian Mujahideen (IM) signature in targeting crowds gathered at the BJP office for ticket distribution ahead of May 5th Karnataka election.

The similarities with earlier terror blasts carried out by IM like IEDs strapped to two-wheelers as well as suspected use of nitrate-based explosives and shrapnel point to how the homegrown terror outfit remains a thorn in India's flesh. In fact, the Central security establishment are suspecting that the IM operatives on the run and also wanted for the 7/11 Mumbai and Hyderabad blasts - Yasin Bhatkal, Waqas, Tabrez and Bada Sajid - could be behind the latest Bangalore strike as well.

As per preliminary reports shared with the home ministry, the site of Wednesday's explosion, which comes a couple of days after conviction of Mirza Inayat Baig in the German Bakery blasts case in which IM's bomb-maker Yasin Bhatkal too is an accused, was around 40 metres from the BJP office and 100 metres away from the nearby Kadu Malleswara temple.

The fact that ticket distribution at the BJP office over the last few days had been attracting huge crowds was possibly known to the bombers. "It was to target these crowds and inflict maximum casualty that the terrorists chose to strike at the BJP office in the midst of the state polls," a senior MHA official said adding that, fortunately, the ticket distribution had ended by Wednesday morning, leading to a leaner gathering at the ruling party's office. "This prevented heavy casualties," said the official.

The latest explosion at the BJP's office in poll-bound Karnataka capital is reminiscent of a similar blast in 2011 at the Congress headquarters in Guwahati, also in the run-up to the assembly polls in Assam. The Guwahati blast, which only caused injuries, was allegedly carried out by Paresh Barua faction of the outlawed Ulfa.

With a motorcycle, two-wheeler and two cars having caught fire, the NSG's forensic experts and NIA teams, which reached Bangalore from Delhi and Hyderabad, are trying to ascertain exactly where the bomb was planted as well as its chemical composition. Most likely, MHA sources said, the bomb was strapped on to the motorcycle, which, incidentally, is a known modus operandi of the IM.

Stating that the IM module behind the Hyderabad blasts had been identified, an MHA official did not rule out the involvement of missing members of the same module in the planning and execution of the Bangalore blast. Imran and Maqbool, the IM duo, who had reconnoitered Dilsukhnagar ahead of Hyderabad blasts, were arrested from Bangalore, which boasts of a good penetration of both LeT and IM operatives.

Sources said Yasin Bhatkal, who has successfully dodged the security agencies on his trail, is known to volunteer to plant the bomb himself. "He is suspected to have planted the bomb that caused the twin blasts at Gokul Chat Bhandar and Lumbini Park in Hyderabad, and at the German Bakery in Pune in 2010...there is a possibility that his adventurous streak may have led him to plant the bomb at Bangalore as well," the official said.

Bangalore has seen four terror strikes so far, starting with the attack on Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2005, the 2008 serial blasts, the Chinnaswamy Stadium explosions and now the blast at Malleshwaram.

MHA sources conceded that there was no prior intelligence regarding terrorists' plans to attack Bangalore. A senior MHA official ruled out sending additional forces to poll-bound Karnataka, saying that enough Central security personnel had been put at the state's disposal for election deployment. "These can be redeployed to enhance security at vulnerable spots," the official added.

Dilsukhnagar junction was one of the busiest commercial localities in the State capital. That was till terrorists detonated two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) exactly on this day last month.

Four weeks after the twin blasts, the Dilsukhnagar bus stop and the A-1 Mirchi centre – where the two IEDs went off – remain almost deserted even during evening peak hours. The terror attack took away the sheen from this bustling commercial locality.

Normally, traffic crawls on the Dilsukhnagar main road connecting the city with the Vijayawada highway in the morning. Traffic snarls are the order of the day on this stretch, one of the widest roads with sub-roads on either side.

The terror attack changed all that, and traffic was normal on Wednesday evening. “Having opened the shop at 9 a.m., I am seeing the first customer only in the afternoon. My customers dropped almost by 80 per cent,” says K. Arun Kishore. An eyewitness to the blast before Mirchi Centre and owner of a mobile phone shop, Kishore feels that the terrorists not only killed people but also dealt a deadly commercial blow.

Flower vendor K. Lingamaih’s fate too changed for the worse after the blast. He had been selling flowers opposite Mirchi Centre for the past 20 years. “I used to make at least Rs. 500 a day before the blasts. Now, it is not more than Rs. 100 a day,” he says with tears welling in his eyes.

The stretch from Mirchi Centre to Konark theatre used to be occupied completely by vehicles of shoppers, pushcart vendors and hawkers. Even crossing the road used to be a tough task. “You rarely find vehicles parking on this stretch now. Business is completely down, especially during the evening apparently because the blasts occurred during that time,” says Prahlad, owner of Anand Tiffins. The Kalpavally bangle store and Mirchi Centre, which were completely damaged, have not been reopened. “That psychological fear of possible rerun of the blasts is a worrying factor for many of us, and hence most of us are not going out for shopping in the evening,” reasons housewife K. Madhavi living nearby.

Late on Wednesday night, a team of NIA officials examined the two blast sites at Dilsukhnagar and sought details about the incident.

Terrorists trained in making pressure cooker bombs

NEW DELHI: Terrorists in camps purportedly operating along the Baluchistan border between Pakistan and Afghanistan are being trained in making and exploding pressure cooker bombs, which were used in the Delhi blasts last year and at least in two explosions in Varanasi this past Tuesday.

During interrogation, Mohammad Ibrahim, who was arrested for his involvement in the Special Task Force office blast in Hyderabad in October last, allegedly disclosed that he along with several others from Hyderabad and Ahmedabad had been sent to the Baluchistan border camp via Bangladesh to undergo training in the handling of explosives, arms and ammunition.

Bombs with timers

Apart from the use of assault rifles and small weapons, the militants were imparted training in assembling bombs with timers of different kind and those detonated through remote-control devices.

The "course" also included the manufacturing of pressure cooker bombs fitted with clock-timer, similar to the one used in the improvised explosive device defused at Godolia in Varanasi on Tuesday.

While Ibrahim was allegedly associated with Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HuJI), there were several others who underwent training in the same camp but joined other outfits.

"So, it would be too premature to say with certainty about the group which carried out the Varanasi strike," said a police officer, adding that there was a possibility that more than one group executed the operation.

Footage points to IM hand in Hyderabad blasts

NEW DELHI: Forensically-processed images from the CCTV footage of Dilsukhnagar blasts in Hyderabad have established the Indian Mujahideen (IM) hand in the February 22 attack that claimed 16 lives. National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reconstructed the grainy image obtained from the CCTV cameras at the blast site and the planter has turned out to be none other than India operations' chief Ahmed Zarar Siddibappa alias Yasin Bhatkal.

The other person visible in the footages is suspected to be Bhatkal's aide from the Darbhanga module, Tehsin Akhtar. NIA, however, is not ready to officially declare the case as cracked until it catches one of them.

The agency had obtained hours of footages from various CCTV cameras in and around the marketplace where the twin blasts took place. In one of the CCTV cameras mounted on a traffic signal near the blast site, a man believed to be in his early 30s was seen reaching the place on a bicycle with a bag hung to its carrier a few minutes before the blasts, and then leaving on foot.

This footage, when sharpened using forensic imaging technology and reconstructed through facial mapping and other techniques, threw up the picture that have a striking resemblance with Yasin Bhatkal, said sources. "There was a suspicion on Indian Mujahideen and the forensic results have only made it stronger as the picture resembles Yasin Bhatkal almost 90%. However, we are not jumping to conclusion. We will wait till we catch him or his associate," said a senior NIA officer.

Given that Yasin Bhatkal is known to personally supervise operations — he himself planted bombs in Pune's German Bakery and Jungali Mahal Road blasts — the solving of the case now hinges on his apprehension. Understandably, NIA does not want to take chances as the last time an agency had such forensic success was Maharashtra ATS in the German bakery blast case. However, it ended up confusing Yasin Bhatkal's picture with that of his brother and arrested him. It later had to release him with egg on its face.

CCTV footages and bicycles used to plant the bombs were the two big leads that NIA had in the case. However, chasing the bicycles came a cropper as Yasin Bhatkal had used an old assembled bicycle with its manufacturing dating back to 1991. "It is very difficult to trace back such a bicycle to its original owner or seller. We even went to old bicycle markets but could not gather anything from there. Thankfully, CCTV footages worked," said the officer.

IM had certainly learnt from past mistakes when it used new bicycles in Gorakhpur and Jaipur blasts and agencies traced them back to the sellers who gave detailed description of the buyers. Sources say, Yasin Bhatkal is a quick learner and that is why he has been able to evade agencies for so long. He rarely uses phones and mostly connects with his associates through skype or internet chat using code language.

ISI using call spoofing software to call RP Bhavan and NSG

Pakistani spies have been calling up Rashtrapati Bhawan, the ministry of defence, the army headquarters and other highly sensitive offices using call spoofing software in an effort to get information, say intelligence sources.

Sources say in the past few months, agents of Pakistani spy agency ISI tried to gather information from Rashtrapati Bhawan and other highly sensitive offices and that there was a need to remain alert when officials in sensitive organisations spoke to unknown persons. The IB suspects in some instance information may have been passed on to the suspected agents.

Intelligence officials say ISI operatives are using call spoofing software to make the calls. These numbers start as 2301 or 2309 to indicate the calls are from some government office at Raisina Hill.

On February 21, immediately after the Dilsukhnagar blasts in Hyderabad, a person claiming to be Major Ajay Sharma from ‘MI-3’ had contacted the NSG headquarters.

The calls were further directed to the NSG office in Hyderabad. During the call, the officer on duty had given away some details about the deployment of the NSG team from Hyderabad at the blast site. Sources say an ISI official by the name of Mohammad Tasleem was behind the incident.

So there are no standing instructions to verify caller id before giving out information. i.e verify need to know?

I dont think so. NIA generally has people deputed from other state police units. So it is not that they are one new bunch of directly recruited folks coming in. And even assuming there are ego issues, NIA when it takes over a case would be smart enough to ensure that all evidence (which was dug up by the state police unit) also gets handed over. In Kerala a PFI unit was busted 3 months back. The raid was done by Kannur Police. The evidence was all out there (people, leaflets, "Love Jehad" letters etc. etc.). The case is now taken over by NIA. Even in prosecuting people in this case, NIA has not done any thing quickly. The state police may have done a better job here. Same goes for the "Professor's hand chopping" case. The case I guess reached the courts around 2 months back. CBI guess, have done a better job especially in very many cases where the state police was really inclined to scuttle the case.

Bhatkal reveals the Hyderabad Bombers

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has claimed to have identified all bombers involved in the 2013 Hyderabad twin blasts. It has also claimed that the blasts were carried out by the Indian Mujahideen on the directions of IM commander Riyaz Bhatkal.

The interrogation of alleged IM co-founder Yasin Bhatkal and his aide Asadullah Akhtar has revealed that Asadullah, along with Mohammed Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu and Waqas — both of whom are now absconding — planted the IEDs responsible for killing 17 people and injuring more than 100.

On Wednesday, NIA Director General Sharad Kumar took stock of Yasin's interrogation at the CRPF camp where he is currently being kept.

According to investigators, the plot to target Hyderabad was hatched by Riyaz on the instructions of key IM functionary Amir Reza Khan in September last year. Riyaz is suspected to have used a module led by Syed Maqbool to conduct a recce at Hyderabad's Dilsukhnagar.

According to the NIA, Yasin was responsible for providing logistic support, including the purchase of second-hand bicycles, transportation of explosives, etc.

Officials claimed the explosives were arranged by Yasin and the IEDs were prepared by him with Asadullah's help.

Yasin also revealed he was the one who recruited Tahseen, a resident of Samastipur, and Danish Ansari, a native of Darbhanga, in 2011. The two were to be used to plant the bombs. But when Danish developed cold feet, it was decided that Asadullah, Waqas and Tahseen will plant the IEDs.

Investigators call this the 'library module' since Yasin allegedly motivated youths like Tahseen and Danish and then recruited them at a library in Darbhanga. Yasin also claimed there are nearly 30 trained IM cadres currently in India.

According to interrogators, Yasin pleaded ignorance about future attacks lined up by the IM, saying he was only given instructions by Riyaz to plant the explosives. "He is still being interrogated and we suspect he is holding back information on men, materials and targets of the IM," said a senior NIA official. The agency now plans to conduct a polygraph test on Yasin.

Bangalore: Investigation into alleged IM co-founder Yasin Bhatkal's activities during his time in Dubai and India since 2005 has revealed that he was constantly in touch with members of two youth outfits from Karnataka and Kerala. The findings add credence to revelations made in 2008 by IM members arrested in Mangalore, who claimed that the IM had infiltrated the ranks of the two outfits.

Why is this being bandied about as an NIA success? Wasnt it IB who did the hard work of snagging Bhatkal? The NIA is pumping him for information.

Information in the immediate aftermath of Hyderabad blasts on 21/02/13 mostly correlates with these exceptions,

Obaid-ur-Rehman was thought to be on the Recce team along with Maqbool and Tahseen was not identified then
