Brother of Al Qaeda commander killed in drone strike a major candidate for presidency of Libya’s parliament

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/06/01 ... z2V1DE2r85
The brother of a top Al Qaeda commander killed in an American drone strike in Pakistan last summer is emerging as a strong candidate to become Libya’s top elected official.
Abd Al-Wahhab Muhammad Qaid is a former member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), jihadists who struggled for more than two decades to overthrow Muammar Qaddafi and mounted an insurgency in eastern Libya before seeking sanctuary in Afghanistan. He was nominated for the presidency of the country’s parliament, the General National Congress (GNC).
The killing last year of Qaid's brother, Abu Yahya al-Libi, is thought to have been one of the motives for Libyan jihadists to attack the U.S. consulate in Benghazi last September, an assault that led to the deaths of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Al Qaeda’s spiritual leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, focused his annual 9/11 message on America’s drone war just days before the consulate attack, eulogized al-Libi and called on “Libyan brothers” to avenge the loss.
A soft-spoken bear of a man who resembles his late brother, Qaid, 45, is currently chairman of the parliament’s National Security Committee, and thought to be the frontrunner among the three politicians so far nominated for a post elected by lawmakers.

"THE MUSLIM JIHAD AGAINST HINDUISM"
My dear friend and colleague Narain Kataria has an excellent piece on the jihad against the Hindus:
Such Narrative will will get out in the World now . Check the Comments and link.
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atla ... duism.html
The conquest of India by Islamic invaders is a long and dreadful narrative of multiple ferocious wars between the invaders and the valiant Hindu Rajas who ruled over different parts of India during medieval times. The barbaric invaders, including Muhammad Ghauri and Babur, took morbid delight in building towers of the skulls of slaughtered 'kaffirs' (read Hindus), a stark fact, proudly recorded by a number of Muslim historians in great detail. Most braveheart Hindu rulers zealously defended their motherland, their subjects and above all their honor at a terrible cost; unlike the Arab conquest of the Persian empire within a short span of two decades and similar fate of Byzantine empire and smaller kingdoms of central Asia. In sharp contrast, the Islamic invaders had to fight multiple tortuous, gut-wrenching battles for centuries to subjugate the Hindus. The resistance offered by the masses to invaders and freebooters was formidable indeed. Occasionally there were some traitors, too, like Raja Jaichand of Kannauj, whose name has become synonymous with treachery. The hostility between two kingdoms, namely the Chauhans of Rajasthan and Gahadwala Rajputs of Kannauj was a major cause of the defeat of Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192. Had the armies of two gutsy Hindu rulers stood united in the battle of Tarain, the invading armies could have been defeated.
The atrocities committed by Muslim rulers on Sikhs of Punjab and Marathas in south were horrendous. Jahangir had murdered the fifth Sikh Guru Arjan Dev in a most diabolical manner. The epitome of courage Arjan Dev was made to sit on a hot plate and hot sand was poured on him to torture him to death. Later on Aurangzeb, the cruelest of all Muslim kings not only beheaded Guru Tegh Bahadur, but also murdered four gallant sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Two elder sons, Sahibzade Ajit Singh and Junjhar Singh attained martyrdom in 1704 during the battle of Chamkaur Sahib, while the younger sons Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh were bricked alive in 1705 at Sirhind by Faujdar Wazir Khan, under orders of Aurangzeb.Starting with the invasion of Sind by Muhammad bin Qasim in 712 A.D. the next 900 years witnessed a relentless onslaught by hordes of Muslim invaders pouring in through Khyber and Bolan passes. Among the barbaric murderers and freebooters were Mahmud Ghazanvi, Muhammad Ghauri, Babur, Ahmad Shah Abdali and Nadir Shah. In fact, Guru Nanak has given in the Babur Vani a vivid description of the atrocities committed by invaders on the hapless Hindus of Punjab and north-western India. According to the eminent historian, Will Durant, "the Mohammedan conquest of India is perhaps the bloodiest story of history". He calls it a discouraging tale, for its only lesson was that civilization is a precarious thing, whose delicate complex of order and liberty, culture and peace could be overthrown at any time by barbarians invading from without and multiplying within." [Source: Will Durant, The Story of Civilization, Part I, p. 459].

A detailed narrative of the tyranny and atrocities committed by Muslim invaders was given by a well known Muslim author and thinker, Rizwan Salim, who wrote in The Hindustan Times, New Delhi, on December 28, 1997, an article titled, "What the invaders really did?" justifying the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992. Rizwan Salim highlighted that the wrecking of Hindu temples went on from the early years of the eighth century to well past 1700 A.D. a period of almost 1000 years. [Source : The Hindustan Times, New Delhi, December 28, 1997]. Every Muslim ruler of Delhi (or Governor of the Province) spent most of his time fighting the Hindu kings in the north and the south, the east and west. Rizwan continues emphasizing that "savages at a very low level of civilization and no culture worth the name began entering India from the early eighth century onwards. Islamic invaders demolished Hindu temples, destroyed unaccountable sculptures and idols, plundered innumerable palaces and forts of the Hindu kings, killed vast number of Hindu men and carried off Hindu women. This story, the educated - and lot of even the illiterate Indians - know very well. The history books recount it in a remarkable detail.

Islam's War Against Buddhism

By Dhammajarat
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Re ... p?ID=27700
t was just after 4 a.m. I was seated underneath the holy Maha Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya, in the state of Bihar in India. It was a few days past the full moon of May 2004, a few days past Veesak. This was my second visit to this unparalleled location, the site of the Lord Buddha’s attainment of full Enlightenment over 2,500 years ago. Now, towards the end of my 10 day stay, I had applied for and been granted the great honor of permission to spend the night within the Maha Bodhi compound. My plan was to spend the entire night practicing seated meditation, walking meditation, and circumambulation of the great Maha Bodhi Stupa. The air was warm and my practice was going very well as I alternated between the three practices, as the hours passed. The beautiful waning full moon light filtering through the glistening leaves of the Maha Bodhi Tree, the soft fluttering of the leaves, the serene quiet, took me back to that time long ago when the Buddha himself had sat very near this same exact spot.Or so I thought…….
The mussein’s call to prayer for the faithful of Islam, here in this most sacred location to all of Buddhism, ripped me back to modern reality. I was stunned! How could this be? Here in one of the most significant spots of Buddhism, loud speakers come on at four in the morning every day, to shock and intrude upon meditators and Buddhist practitioners using this spot for that which it has to offer in its most special way?How could this be allowed? It is…The Muslim call to prayer seemed to go on and on…..20 minutes to a half-hour later, the scratchy recording thankfully ended and quiet returned. My concentration was thoroughly blown. Instead of following my breath, I found myself looking at the great distraction and paradox I had just experienced. I thought about Mecca!Could any other religion intrude itself there in the holiest of places to Islam, as the tenets of Islam had so intruded itself here in the holiest place of Buddhism? No way! I could imagine immediate death being visited upon anyone that would even try – that is, if they would be admitted anywhere close to the Muslims’ holy Kabah – let alone be allowed to set up a loud public address system that would broadcast the message of another religion across the courtyards of the Grand Mosque, or any other Moslem religious site. The hypocrisy was astounding.

After awhile, I ceased to be so shocked and began to calm down. I began to see that this was merely a continuation of a long and sad trespass against Buddhism perpetrated by the faith of Islam. In my previous visits to India, I had visited every site that was specific to the actual life of the Lord Buddha. At every location the pattern was the same: Just the partial foundations remaining of what had once been great Stupas or elaborate religious universities of Buddhist learning and practice. Even the place of the Buddha’s birth had been destroyed and buried, with modern day excavations only now giving some restoration.I had learned from guides on location, and then from further studies once I returned home, that these locations had all been laid to waste in the early Moslem invasions of India, starting in the 900’s by Turkic hordes issuing forth from what is now Afghanistan, and continuing for over a thousand years until the Mughal era. A prolonged and calculated assault, an assault designed to wipe an entire belief, an entire religion, off the face of the Earth. The long history of Islam, being spread by the sword and by fire, had left its indelible mark on these wonderful peaceful, harmless, legacy sites of Buddhism. I learned how the monks and nuns and religious students were slaughtered without mercy and piled up and burned, and all terrified survivors were driven like dry leaves before a strong wind, out of the region of India entirely, wherever this Islamic wind blew.I was told this is how Buddhism actually came to Tibet and Southeast Asia, by Buddhists fleeing for their lives! My faith had been rendered a refugee faith via the tender mercies of Islam.I learned how Islam was particularly unkind and brutal to Buddhists, because to Moslems the Buddhist represented the most reprehensible type of human personality: the “atheist” holding no monotheistic God image as their object of worship and veneration. We were worse even than the far more numerous Hindus, with their vast pantheon of multiple gods. The Buddhists, to the Muslims, only worshipped the image of a man, and no God higher.Apparently they did not bother to look into the philosophies of Buddhism any more deeply. That was enough for the sword to come down and the fire to be applied. And so they have over the centuries until today.I remember, some years back, before the gripping situations that we face today had quite come in to focus for many of us, I followed the story of the great Buddhas of Bamiyan, in sad and war torn Afghanistan. The Russian war was over, and the rein of the Taliban was in full force, but they were not content to merely rule the people with an iron hand by the strictest applications of Sharia law. They had to physically erase the “infidel” past, as well.I remember shedding tears as I saw the footage of those magnificent Buddhas, the tallest ancient statues in the world, being reduced to rubble by explosive charges and artillery shells. I remembered hearing on the news footage, that same cry of “Allahu Akbar!” – as the dust of Bamiyan settled to reveal the emptiness of the destruction. The same cry that destroyed my meditative absorption under the Bodhi Tree. Now, I pray we never hear this call in this our home, America. Not until and unless Islam totally and completely reforms itself after over a thousand years of ravaging and sweeping all others before it. I feel, through my direct experiences of it, that Islam has not changed its ways in the least. In fact it has become more aggressive now than at any time since its period of greatest expansion in the 900s to the 1200s. “Modern” Islam seeks to return humanity to those very same times – a revival of the dark ages of Islamic slaughter, mayhem, and pillage – all in the name of Allah. We Buddhists must realize that we, and our cherished practices, would be swept away entirely and crushed utterly, should Islam ever gain ascendancy in this world in which we live. Islam is the only belief that propagates itself thus – by the sword. And it is very patient.

One needs to open communication to Mr. Neil Tyson as to why there was a flourishing of this Arabic period.

The main reasons were
1) Non-Arab people were converted, and they brought in their pre-Islamic knowledge and intellectual temperament into Arabic
2) Islam gained the material resources from a wide geographical area to fund such intellectuals
3) Knowledge from the outlying areas was translated into Arabic as well, especially from the knowledge of Bharatiyas.

Wannabe Arabs beating up 'dirty whites' in France
A court in the southern city of Toulon sentenced a local man to a year in prison this week, with nine months suspended, after he racially abused a white man and later attacked him.

The assailant, aged in his thirties and of north African origins, was found to have shouted "You dirty white, I'm going to smash you. This is a place for Arabs," at the victim, who was in a carpark with five friends, both male and female, on the night of May 10th.

The attacker, accompanied by his own entourage and already drunk, according to TF1 television, then punched and head-butted two of the group, who were all aged in their twenties.

Police were called to the scene and arrested the assailant.

A court in Toulon on Monday convicted the thirty-something of collective assault and public injury, the latter relating to his racist abuse.

He was sentenced to a year in prison, but will only serve three months, after the court put him on probation for nine months.

This is only the latest incident of 'anti-white racism' to hit France.

In April, The Local reported that a trial had begun over the racially-motivated beating of a white Frenchman. The attackers allegedly shouted “dirty white" and "dirty French" before assaulting the victim.

A fact that risked clouding the issue for some is that the man accused of carrying out the attack is white himself, according to French daily Le Parisien. :rotfl:

Significantly, the prosecution’s stance was supported by the International League against Racism and anti-Semitism (LICRA).

"We are acting just like we would for any kind of racism case, whether it's anti-Semitic or anti-black," Vice president of LICRA Philippe Schmidt told The Local at the time. "We cannot just pull a blanket over our eyes because this is a case of anti-white racism."

AT LAST: The truth about terrorism
http://coldfury.com/2013/06/04/at-last- ... terrorism/
There is plenty of evidence. For example, twenty nations account for over 95 percent of terrorism activity in the world. Of these twenty (Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Yemen, Iran, Uganda, Libya, Egypt, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Colombia, Algeria, Thailand, Philippines, Russia, Sudan, Iran, Burundi, India, Nigeria, and Israel) all but four of them (Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Colombia, and Burundi) involve Islamic terrorism. In terms of terrorism fatalities the top four nations (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Somalia) accounted for 75 percent of the world total of terrorism related deaths. All of these were the result of Islamic radicalism, often directed at other Moslems and not just non-Moslems (infidels). This has been the case for decades, and the Moslem world does not like to dwell on this fact. Many Moslem leaders admit that there is a lot of Islamic terrorism but insist that it’s all the fault of infidels (non-Moslems) who are making war on Islam, so some Moslems feel compelled to fight back. The catch-phrase Moslem leaders like to repeat is that Islam is the “religion of peace.” It is not, and the historical record makes that very clear.
It’s not just a long history of Moslem violence but lots of violence that is still going on. Currently, you find Moslems attacking Buddhists in Thailand, Jews everywhere, Baha’is in Iran, and Christians in Egypt, Iraq, the Philippines, Pakistan, Malaysia, and elsewhere. Islam does not discriminate when it comes to religious violence, and most Moslems killed because of religious violence are killed by fellow Moslems over religious differences. Usually its Sunni extremists (like al Qaeda) killing Shia (or any other sect that deviates from strict Sunni interpretations of Islamic law and religious customs). This is not a sudden and unexpected outburst of Moslem violence against non-Moslems and Moslems considered heretical. It is normal and at the root of Islamic terrorism. While this violent behavior represents only a small number of Moslems, it is a large minority (from a few percent of a population to over half, according to opinion polls). Moreover, the majority of Moslems has not been willing, or able, to confront and suppress the Islamic radicals that not only spread death and destruction but also besmirch all Moslems. This reveals a fundamental problem in the Islamic world, the belief that combining righteousness with murderous tactics is often the road to power and spiritual salvation. Throughout history, when these tactics were applied to non-Moslems, they often failed. The non-Moslems were unfazed by the religious angle and, especially in the last five hundred years, were better able to defeat Islamic violence with even greater violence. Thus, until quite recently, the Moslems fought among themselves and left the infidels (non-Moslems) alone. But after World War II that began to change.

Tokyo Governor: “Islamic Countries Have Nothing in Common But Allah and Fighting Each Other”
May 3, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield

That surprisingly accurate assessment from Naoki Inose, the Governor of Tokyo, eventually led to a forced apology. But Naoki Inose was quite correct.

The Muslim world is a construct based on a false identity imposed by Islamic conquest. The constant fighting is the only way to reaffirm that identity. Islam only achieves its identity by fighting someone: whether it’s Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists or each other. Take away the conflict and there isn’t much left.

The vaunted solidarity is largely a myth because even Arabs, Persians and Turks despise each other. Never mind how they feel about Africans or Pakistanis.

“For the athletes, where will be the best place to be?” Inose said through an interpreter in a recent interview in New York. “Well, compare the two countries where they have yet to build infrastructure, very sophisticated facilities. So, from time to time, like Brazil, I think it’s good to have a venue for the first time. But Islamic countries, the only thing they share in common is Allah and they are fighting with each other, and they have classes.”

Asked later to elaborate on his characterization of Istanbul, a spokesman said Inose meant that simply being the first Islamic country to hold the Olympics was not a good enough reason to be chosen, just as being the first Buddhist country or the first Christian country would not be, either.

While Naoki Inose’s comments may seem out of character for what Americans expect from Japan, the Governor of Toyko has a tradition of speaking his mind and offending everyone.

The last governor, Shintaro Ishihara said so many offensive things that it would be impossible to keep track of. As a minor sample, he suggested that elderly women should kill themselves and that the tsunami was a divine punishment for Japan’s greed.

Naoki Inose was handpicked by Shintaro Ishihara but lacks his panache or his staying power. International diplomacy is not exactly his strong point, but it’s also not clear to what extent the New York Times chose to distort his comments. With Madrid, Tokyo and Istanbul in the running, the left would love to see Istanbul win in order to make a statement about Islam and the European Union.

Inose is still insisting that the New York Times distorted his comments and while every politician claims that, when it comes to political correctness, the Times simply cannot be trusted. But whether or not he said what he said, the essence of it is true. There is no real solidarity between Muslim countries except against non-Muslim countries.

That was really an excellent post !

You lose your Identity once you join an army. The army as an institution is designed & operated with that principle in mind ! Do islamic societies /ghettoes operate like that ? Once you have imposed a new false identity on the next generation of the conquered people , your primary job is done. Basically you have produced a new generation of fighters !! mujahideens or jihadis ! A mechanism to fight a multi-generational war with outsiders or with each others ! Please note that the maximum duration of wars in the 20th century never lasted more than a generation (approximately 25 yrs , infact it was much less)
World War 1 - 4/5 yrs , World war 2 - 6 yrs , Iran-Iraq wars - 10 yrs , Afghanistan War- 10 yrs, etc

So Basically Islam uses the tool of False Identity to fight its wars ! Maybe it is time to use the same tool on the muslim societies themselves as the sectarian faultlines suggest . Folks , prepare for a long drawn out war !!

Four dead as Myanmar violence spills into Malaysia-police
KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Reuters) - Ethnic violence in Myanmar between Muslims and Buddhists appears to have spilled over into Malaysia, police said on Wednesday, with four killings in recent days suspected to be linked to the religious tension.

All the victims, including a man slashed to death by machete-wielding attackers at a car wash in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, this week, were Buddhists from Myanmar, said the city's deputy police chief Amar Singh Ishar Singh.

"We have a feedback that this may be Myanmar Buddhists and Muslims having a spillover here in Kuala Lumpur," he told Reuters. "In Myanmar, the Muslims are the victims, over here the Buddhists are the victims."

Singh said the police had set up a special task force to deal with the violence in Kuala Lumpur and had arrested about 60 Myanmar immigrants this week in an attempt to control tensions.

Malaysia's Bernama state news agency said the 20-year-old victim was sleeping at the car wash when he was attacked by 10 people. It quoted police as saying a man and a woman also suffered injuries in the attack.....

In April, Muslim and Buddhist refugees from Myanmar clashed at a refugee camp in Indonesia in a riot in which eight people were killed and 15 were wounded, media reported.

Dutch-Speaking Jihadis Behead Captive

NSFW, Gruseome Video Link

Flemish jihadi involved in beheading?
A film purporting to show Flemish jihadi committing atrocities in Syria has been published on the internet. The film, the authenticity of which is still to be confirmed, shows a man being beheaded. The middle-aged man is lying half-naked on the ground. The voices of four or five other males can be heard around him. A large knife appears and the man is beheaded on camera. As well as cries of "Allah Akbar" (God is great), those present are also heard to say “turn him over” and “hold his feet someone, his feet” in Dutch with a Flemish accent. It is not yet clear whether the video is genuine. However, footage of atrocities perpetrated by both sides in the Syrian conflict has been circulating on the internet for some time.
The film was posted a couple of days and according to the accompanying text, the beheading took place in March this year. The victim is said to have been a Shi'ite Muslim, the branch of Islam to which the Syrian President and most of his supporters belong.

Majority of Netherlands Favors Ban on Sharia Law
A poll conducted by the research bureau of Maurice de Hond (the Dutch equivalent of Gallup), commissioned by the PVV, among a representative sample of over 1,900 people also shows other striking results:

A majority of 55 percent favors stopping immigration from Islamic countries.

63 percent say: no new mosques.

72 percent favor a constitutional ban on Sharia law in the Netherlands.

64 percent say that the arrival of immigrants from Islamic countries has not been beneficial to the Netherlands.

Nearly three-quarters – 73 percent – of all Dutch see a relationship between Islam and the recent terror acts in Boston, London and Paris.

...
More than three quarters of the Dutch (77 percent) believe that Islam is no enrichment for our country. More than two-thirds – 68 percent – say that there is enough Islam in the Netherlands. It is striking that a majority of voters from all political parties (from PVV to VVD, CDA, D66, PvdA, SP and 50plus) share this view.

Islamists said to execute 15-year-old Syrian boy for heresy

Members of an al Qaeda-linked Islamist group in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo executed a 15-year-old boy in front of his parents on Sunday as punishment for what the group regarded as a heretical comment, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.....

The Observatory, which based its report on witness accounts of the killing, said Qataa, who was a street vendor selling coffee in the working-class Shaar neighbourhood, had been arguing with someone when he was overheard saying: "Even if the Prophet Mohammad comes down (from heaven), I will not become a believer."

The gunmen, who belong to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, a militant group that started off known as the Nusra Front, took Qatta on Saturday and brought him back alive in the early hours of Sunday to his wooden stand, with whiplash marks visible on his body.

"People gathered around him and a member of the fighting brigade said: 'Generous citizens of Aleppo, disbelieving in God is polytheism and cursing the prophet is a polytheism. Whoever curses even once will be punished like this."

"He then fired two bullets from an automatic rifle in view of the crowd and in front of the boy's mother and father, and got into a car and left," the report said.
Enlightened Islam in full flow.

Syrian Islamists execute 15 years old teen for blasphemy in front of family
Members of an Al Qaeda-linked Islamist group in the Syrian city of Aleppo have allegedly executed a 15-year-old boy in front of his parents as punishment for what the group regarded as blasphemy.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based group opposed to the Syrian regime, says Mohammad Qataa was shot in the face and neck a day after being seized.

It has released a photo showing Qataa's face with his mouth and jaw bloodied, as well as a bullet wound in his neck.

"The observatory cannot ignore these crimes, which only serve the enemies of the revolution and the enemies of humanity," the group's leader Rami Abdulrahman said.

The observatory based its report on witness accounts of the killing.

Manager of boxing champion Ricky Burns faces racism probe after vicious comments against Muslims appear on his Facebook page

Self-inflicted dhimmism in the UK. Being positive about a religion not generally followed by white Anglo Saxons such as Hinduism and Sikhism is not sufficient to deflect the charge of being racist if one criticises Mohammadenism.

One of the comments that created the rumpus :
“The radical Muslims are bringing about the end of our civilised world and we allow it and pay them benefits as well.

“I am not suggesting that we go out and start burning mosques but we should boycott their shops. The Sikhs and Hindus are good people but the other lot are filthy, conniving, cunning, deceitful scum.

“They treat their woman as inferior beings and say that ‘white’ girls are just for practice. It turns my stomach when I see a white girl swathed from head to foot like a Muslim with one of these pigs.”

Taliban beheads two boys in southern Afghanistan
Taliban fighters beheaded two boys aged 10 and 16 as a warning to villagers not to cooperate with the Afghan government, local officials said. The boys, named Khan and Hameedullah, had travelled to Afghan army and police checkpoints near their home in the southern province of Kandahar, scrounging for leftover food to bring to their families, the officials said.

"The boys were on their way back ... when they were stopped by Taliban insurgents who beheaded them," the chief of Zhari district, Jamal Agha, told Reuters. "Both of them were innocent children and had nothing to do with government or foreigners."

The militants have beheaded dozens of people in the last two years, accusing them of aiding the government and its foreign backers led by the United States.

.....
The Kandahar governor's spokesman, Javid Faisal, said the incident occurred on Sunday. Several hours later their bodies and severed heads were left in their village, he said.

.....
In July last year in the same district, a 16-year-old boy accused by the Taliban of spying for the government was beheaded and skinned. The next month, a girl aged six and a boy of 12 were kidnapped and beheaded in separate incidents in Kandahar and the east of the country.

Afghan parliament upholds right to marry children
Afghanistan's parliament has rejected a measure that would have barred men from marrying girls younger than 16, saying the proposal ran counter to Islamic ideology.

The measure also would have banned “baad, [the] traditional practice of buying or selling women to settle disputes,” and outlawed criminal charges being imposed on rape victims, Breitbart reported. Rape victims in Afghanistan often are charged with fornication or adultery.

Video of a bout of Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden religion inspired sectarian Jihad pitting Sunni against Shia surfaces. The usual protestations that the killings were not an outcome of Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden religion inspired sectarian Jihad can be taken with a large pinch of salt as the article goes on to say that the video soundtrack contains explicitly sectarian language such as “We have raised the banner ‘There is no God but God’ above the houses of the apostate rejectionists, the Shia,” and “This is the Shia, this is the Shia carcass, this is their end,”

Syria: 60 Shia Muslims massacred in rebel ‘cleansing’ of Hatla

Meanwhile the UN reports that the Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden religion inspired sectarian Jihad pitting Sunni against Shia in Syria has resulted in a staggering 93,000 dead:

OBAMA SPIES ON EVERYONE EXCEPT MOSQUES, MISSED BOSTON BOMBERS
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atla ... mbers.html
Obama has scrubbed all counter terror material of Islam and jihad. Obama said that al qaeda has been defeated. Obama has never acknowledged that jihad is the problem. So who exactly is he spying on? Everyone else. And what is the result? Boston. You can expect a lot more Islamic jihad in the homeland after the dismantling of counter terror programs and the intellectual disarming of the American people.\Obama's Snooping Excludes Mosques, Missed Boston Bombers," IBD, June 12, 2013
Homeland Insecurity: The White House assures that tracking our every phone call and keystroke is to stop terrorists, and yet it won't snoop in mosques, where the terrorists are. That's right, the government's sweeping surveillance of our most private communications excludes the jihad factories where homegrown terrorists are radicalized.Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.Who makes up this body, and how do they decide requests? Nobody knows; the names of the chairman, members and staff are kept secret. We do know the panel was set up under pressure from Islamist groups who complained about FBI stings at mosques. Just months before the panel's formation, the Council on American-Islamic Relations teamed up with the ACLU to sue the FBI for allegedly violating the civil rights of Muslims in Los Angeles by hiring an undercover agent to infiltrate and monitor mosques there. Before mosques were excluded from the otherwise wide domestic spy net the administration has cast, the FBI launched dozens of successful sting operations against homegrown jihadists — inside mosques — and disrupted dozens of plots against the homeland. If only they were allowed to continue, perhaps the many victims of the Boston Marathon bombings would not have lost their lives and limbs. The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15 attacks, and it did not check out the radical Boston mosque where the Muslim bombers worshipped. The bureau didn't even contact mosque leaders for help in identifying their images after those images were captured on closed-circuit TV cameras and cellphones. One of the Muslim bombers made extremist outbursts during worship, yet because the mosque wasn't monitored, red flags didn't go off inside the FBI about his increasing radicalization before the attacks. This is particularly disturbing in light of recent independent surveys of American mosques, which reveal some 80% of them preach violent jihad or distribute violent literature to worshippers. What other five-alarm jihadists are counterterrorism officials missing right now, thanks to restrictions on monitoring the one area they should be monitoring?

Are we sure that we want to invite this into our country in the form of educational scholarships for Afghan students?

Mob Attacks Afghan Doctor and Female Patient
KABUL, Afghanistan — A mob attacked an Afghan medical doctor and his female patient, stoning the doctor after the two were discovered in his private examining room without a chaperon, Afghan officials said on Thursday....

The provincial police chief, Abdul Raouf Taj, said that local villagers and shopkeepers stormed the private clinic when they heard that the doctor, Ajmeer Hashimi, was treating a patient, a midwife named Mahboba, alone in his examining room. ....

He said there was no indication that the victims’ relationship was anything other than professional in nature.

Nonetheless, a crowd quickly gathered on the street below the doctor’s second-floor office after word spread that he was treating a patient alone. The police arrived to escort them out of the office, according to Nabila Rahimi, head of the legal department of the ministry of women’s affairs in the province, and were able to protect the woman from serious attack, but not the doctor. Ms. Rahimi said attackers threw Dr. Hashimi off a balcony into the crowd below, and people began stoning him.

A local television station broadcast the attack, according to residents....

The Pakistanisation of Indonesia
PALLAVI AIYAR

Over the last few years, Jakarta has laid down legal infrastructure that discriminates against religious minorities, allowing Islamists to take the law into their own hands

The marble minaret of Jakarta’s largest mosque, the Istiqlal, and the cast iron steeples of the city’s Catholic Cathedral, jointly punctuate the city-centre’s skyline. The adjacent location of these two places of worship is a powerful, sensory manifestation of Indonesia’s multi-religious and tolerant ethos.

Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country. Although around 87 per cent of the population, or 210 million Indonesians, self-identify as Muslims, the nation is a tapestry of religions from Hinduism and Christianity to Confucianism and Animism. Scan any newspaper and the names that pop up — Teddy Anwar, Suryadharma Ali, Veronica Colondam — confirm the syncretism that has long defined this part of the world.

As a Muslim-majority, democratic republic, whose constitution guarantees the right of citizens to freedom of religious belief and practice, Indonesia is a rare creature. The U.S.-based Appeal of Conscience Foundation, awarded Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono a high-profile prize for promoting tolerance just last month. The country is, moreover, regularly feted by world leaders, as a beacon of moderate Islam and a model for the Muslim world.

And yet only a few dozen kilometres east of Jakarta, in the suburb of Bekasi, a group of 18 Ahmadis has been holed up inside a fenced-off mosque for over two months. They barricaded themselves inside in early April, after local police sealed it, placing locks on the entrances and erecting a fence of corrugated metal sheets.

They refuse to come out until the mosque is allowed to reopen and serve as a place of prayer for the area’s 400-odd Ahmadis.
Until then, their only contact with the outside world is through a square slat that opens in a back door to the mosque. It is through this opening that food is passed to them and through which they talk daily with Mohammad Iqbal, the leader of the congregation, about his attempts to secure redress. All efforts, he says, have so far failed.

Outside the mosque, a local government-planted hoarding refers to a number of anti-Ahmaddiya decrees and resolutions passed by religious and central governmental authorities.

Intolerance since 2005

In 2005, the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), a coalition of Muslim organisations, issued a fatwa condemning the Ahmaddiya community as religiously “deviant.” Mohammad Iqbal dates the start of his communities’ problems to that year, with some members receiving threatening text messages on their mobile phones.

But the real harassment began later, after 2008. That year, President Yudhoyono signed off on a decree issued jointly by the Religious Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry and Attorney General, which ordered the Ahmaddiya community to stop all activities that “propagated” its beliefs. The vagueness of the decree’s wording has emboldened some regional governments to interpret the law as an outright ban on the practice of the Ahmadiyya faith.

The Ahmadis are not the only ones to have fallen victim to growing intolerance. On a recent evening in Jakarta, this reporter spent several hours talking with victims of religious violence and discrimination from across the country. Their complaints ranged from administrative inconveniences, to intimidation, violence and even murder at the hand of hard line Sunni Muslims. The vast majority of Indonesia’s Muslims are Sunni.

Muhammad Zaini, a 22-year-old Shia from Madura, in East Java, spoke of 600-odd Shias being forced out of their homes from two villages in the area, when a 200-strong mob of Sunni Muslims attacked their homes in August 2012. Several houses were burnt down and Zaini’s paternal uncle was killed. The Shias are currently camped out in a refugee camp in a sports stadium. Local Sunni authorities have issued edicts against allowing their return.

Permits for churches

Reverend Palti Panjaitan, of the HKBP-Filadelfia protestant church, talked about the seven churches in the Bekasi area (where Ahmaddiyas were also under attack) that had been forcibly closed or demolished by local authorities since 2005. Christian congregations across the country have been having a difficult time in recent years securing permits for the construction of churches. There are an estimated 22 million Christians in Indonesia, comprising over nine per cent of the population.

Dian Jennie, a believer of the indigenous Javanese religion, Sapta Darma, elaborated the routine harassment faced by faiths not part of the six officially recognised religions of Indonesia: Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism and Confucianism. Mandatory state-issued identity cards for all adult citizens that list the holder’s religion, leave a blank space for those who don’t agree to be classified under any of the official religions. Citizens with blank spaces on their IDs are often pilloried as godless. Their children find it difficult to gain admission to schools and even getting their marriages registered can be impossible.

“What we are seeing,” says Andreas Harsono, an activist journalist and researcher for Human Rights Watch, “is a creeping Pakistanisation of Indonesia.” Harsono claims that like Indonesia, Pakistan too, was a relatively tolerant country until the 1970s. But the situation changed dramatically in the 1980s, one clear manifestation of this shift being Islamabad’s 1984 anti-Ahmaddiya ordinance.

In Indonesia, the authoritarian regime of General Suharto from 1967-1998, had largely kept religion’s role in politics under check. Following the transition to democracy, however, Islamist political parties have been allowed to play an open, legal role in politics. Radical civil society groups operating outside the formal political system have also grown in size and influence. The latter include the notorious Front Pembela Islam, an organisation that was set up in 1998 with support from government security agencies and whose goons use Islamic edicts to justify vigilante actions against bars and nightclubs, as well as Christian churches and the mosques of so-called apostates like Ahmadiyyas and Shias.

More discrimination

“Over the last eight years the government has basically laid down the legal infrastructure which discriminates against religious minorities,” claims Harsono. This allows Islamists to take the law into their own hands, while the police look the other way. He gives as examples a 2006 decree that has made it harder to obtain permits to build houses of worship for minorities, and an increasingly cavalier use of a 1965 blasphemy law.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Mr. Zubaidi, dusts off such accusations. He admits that Indonesia has “small (religious) conflicts in a limited area. But we are a big country and despite everything, we maintain our unity.” He claims that at the level of policy, matters are improving, rather than deteriorating for religious minorities. He fails, however, to elaborate when pressed. He does agree that on “a social level” there might be some cause for concern regarding increasing intolerance.

It is true that for the moment at least, Indonesia is a far cry from Pakistan. The most popular face of Islam in the country is still the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the country’s (and the world’s) largest Muslim social organisation with 70 million members. The NU was founded in 1926 and has always defended a moderate and culturally rooted approach to Islam, in open opposition to more fundamentalist Wahabist interpretations. Islamist political parties have yet to win a single general election. In fact their showing at the polls has been worsening in the years since 1998.

Imam Pituduh, a member of the NU’s secretariat, looks more like a rock star than a cleric, with dark shoulder-length hair, shot through with silver, hanging loose about his face. He says the NU believes Islam in Indonesia can only survive by accepting its admixture with local traditions. NU imams, for example, use local beliefs in astrology to help decide on the names of newborns. “The real Islam is what we represent not what Wahabis claim,” he says. The imam is confident that “the people” of Indonesia will reject radicalism since it is not a part of their traditions.

Perhaps, but it is also a fact that religion’s role in Indonesian society has been growing. A new education bill is about to double the number of hours devoted to religious education in elementary schools at the expense of science classes. A new criminal code under discussion is proposing harsh punishments for couples who live together before marriage, and increasing the maximum prison term for adultery to five years from the current nine months. According to the Setara Institute, a non-governmental organisation that monitors religious freedoms, 264 cases of violent attacks on religious minorities took place in 2012, up from 216 in 2010.

Andreas Harsono remains deeply concerned. “Once you allow religion to pervade politics and society, it becomes very difficult to undo it in an Islamic context,” he concludes.

If Sunni Mohammadden Clerics, who it may be presumed are well versed with the tenets of the Mohammadden Religion, believe that undertaking “Jihad” could benefit from being provided “money and arms”, then why should us “Dhimmi” “Kaafir” Non-Mohammaddens be inveigled at the peril of being termed “Islamophobic”, into accepting the bilge that “Jihad” is bereft of violent connotations thereby buttressing the specious claim of Mohammaddenism being “The Religion of Peace”?
Clerics call for ‘jihad’ in Syria

June 15, 2013
AFP

CAIRO - Influential Sunni clerics from several Arab states including Saudi Arabia and Egypt have called for ‘Jihad’ against the regime in Syria. "We must undertake jihad to help our brothers in Syria by sending them money and arms, and providing all aid to save the Syrian people from this sectarian regime," they said in a statement at the end of a gathering in Cairo. ………………………
Needless to say the below attempt by some adherents of Mohammaddenism to whitewash the religious doctrine of "Jihad" by removing its violent connotations, is left in tatters by what the Sunni Mohammadden Clerics had to say:

Pakistani origin academic ensconced in Canada, Murtaza Haider, examines a topic that has attracted a fair number of posts in this thread namely Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden violence, in an article appearing in Dawn titled “Islam at war – with itself”:
From Aleppo in Syria to Quetta in Balochistan, Muslims are engaged in the slaughter of other Muslims. The numbers are enormous: over 93,000 killed in the Syrian civil war and over 48,000 dead in Pakistan. Millions have perished in similar intra-Muslim conflicts in the past four decades. ……………….

As the violence amongst Muslims increases, most Muslims prefer denial or look for scapegoats. Those in denial believe no such violence exists and the entire issue is made up by the western-controlled media. Others blame it on scapegoats – Indians and Americans are the most frequently blamed. The overwhelming evidence, however, suggests that the sectarian and tribal divisions amongst Muslims and justifying violence in the name of religion are the primary causes of why Islam is at war with itself. ………………………

Why is that the belief in Islam is not sufficient to prevent violence amongst Muslims? From the very first day Muslims are taught that their belief in Islam trumps all other identities that they may hold. Their skin colour, tribe, caste or creed, none matters once they enter the fold of Islam. Why then, have millions of Muslims died at the hands of their fellow believers?

Political, religious, and other leaders in the Muslim world have kept the dialogue focused on the conflicts where Muslims have been the victims. The Bosnian conflict, the communal violence in India, which has caused the death of thousands of Muslims, and the Arab-Israeli conflict have been the focus of Muslim leaders. Seldom has the dialogue focused on why Muslims kill other Muslims. And even if the topic ever comes up, it ends up being an exercise in mass scapegoating.

Muslim societies have thus evolved into places where revenge is confused with justice, forgiveness with weakness, and peace with cowardice. These are the places where unholy men wage holy wars against unarmed civilians, pitching Muslims against other Muslims. ………………

only "strongmen" of the east asian/saddam/soviet era mould seem to be willing with the necessary ruthlessness to subdue and keep a boot on militant sunni islam. given an inch of leeway they will soon become a huge problem anywhere they have numbers.

I hope we dont have to wage running street battles in bengaluru with "one armed wahabi warriors carrying RPGs" ... the way things are moving in this land. one thing is sure, I will sleep with my rhino hide shield and my assegai close to hand.

Islam in Russia faces threat of radicalism
Would it be right to say that tensions between Muslims and Orthodox believers in Russian have recently been on the rise?

You can judge for yourself: the "Vesti Nedeli" TV programme recently reported that Stavropol Territory had lost some 20 percent of its Russian-speaking population. It is reported that non-Muslims are leaving Dagestan. I would not want similar reports to start coming from Tatarstan as well. Should that happen, our country will fall apart.

The key to peace and accord in Tatarstan lies on the national mentality, as Tatars are known for their tolerance. We have always been peaceful neighbours to Russian Orthodox believers and to Jews alike. However, the younger generation is growing less tolerant. One look at websites devoted to Islam would be enough: for each website devoted to "traditional" Islam, there are over 20 those that promote Wahabism, Salafism.
------------------------------

Arabism Outstrips Islam
Generations of Arabs have grown up believing that deeply entrenched ties relating to the reasons for life and the unity of goals — toward liberation and progress to restore national identity — would bring them closer to each other, regardless of the geographical scope and differences of climates and prevailing conditions.

With the beginning of the 20th century, these ties have started to crystallize in the form of a political-ideological principle confirming “Arabism” as a universal identity for Arabs, who have lived for centuries under foreign domination, most notably the Ottoman Empire’s hegemony over the majority of their lands.

The UK’s Daily Mail reports that the worshipper who ran amok made reference to the Mohammadden God by “ screaming: ‘Allah is going to punish you all.’ ” and that the attack was set-off by “an argument over whether they were praying correctly” because “the prayers were not being performed in the manner of his denomination.”.

The above lends itself to the conclusion that this was yet another of the numerous cases of Green on Green religion inspired Intra-Mohammadden violence:
