Okay, so we have the "Sri Ram Sene" as the Hindu fundamentalist gang, and the "Indian Mujahideen" which is the Islamic out fit. And both seems to be controlled by neither Hindus nor Islamic fundoos, but INC

. I really need to re-read Chanakya's Arthasashtra. The INC folks may be getting a few ideas from there. How a clever creation and manipulation of gangs of criminals in various combinations can cause disorder and chaos among the local populace, which helps keeping the "king" safe.

The peaceful, oppressed community in India(Yeah, you guessed it) barged in to a Hindu home and gang raped the girl. The atrocity did not end there, They then set her on fire.

Girl gang-raped, set on fire in UP

A 20-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and later set on fire by six youths in Etawah district on Wednesday. She is now battling for her life at the UP Rural Institute of Medical Science in Saifai.

The accused hail from influential families and the police had initially tried to hush up the matter. But after the intervention of senior police officials, Ikdil police registered a case on Thursday and started investigations.

A police official said the woman was alone in her house in Desarmau locality at 1pm when the six youths, allegedly led by one Irfan, barged in and raped her. "Irfan and five others outraged the modesty of my sister," her brother told TOI. "When she resisted and threatened to report the matter to the police, they poured kerosene on her and set her on fire."

Minister wants special panel on terror cases against Muslims

"It should be the highest body with powers to review terror cases," he told TOI, adding it would monitor the progress of cases to sift genuine ones from the trumped up cases. "I am finalizing the proposal and will soon write to the PM and Congress president Sonia Gandhi," Khan said.

It is pure village level dynamics where the zamindar keeps the dacoits well supplied and his own gang to keep the villagers rushing to him for succor.

In April this year, Jat protesters had stormed inside the residence of the minister while he was on a visit to Russia. After the security failure, the Ministry of Home Affairs carried out a threat analysis and felt that there is need to spruce up security at Shinde's house, who is also the Leader of the House in Lok Sabha. At present, only one CCTV camera is reportedly installed at his residence and ECIL has been tasked to set up the new cameras.

The Ishrat conspiracy

An insider with intimate knowledge of Anglo-American policy towards India suggested that a virtual resolution of the historic Kashmir issue has already been negotiated discreetly through the intercession of Washington. It seems an understanding has been reached with Manmohan Singh’s government that major Indian concessions would be on the table. Apparently, this entire package would be in jeopardy if Narendra Modi were to become prime minister of India.

Pakistan, whose rapid acquisition of nuclear weapons’ capability is considered an urgent problem, including its known proliferation activities, is prepared to reciprocate with suitable steps acceptable to Washington. It is hoped that the lowering of India-Pakistan tensions would also reduce the dangers of a nuclear exchange that would have devastating wider global consequences. Pakistan will also restrain the Taliban and accept a half-way house in its expedition to control Afghanistan’s destiny though Hamid Karzai will apparently have to depart.

The grim inference is that the incumbent Indian government is not entirely in dissonance with Pakistani agencies, including the Inter-Services Intelligence and its arms-length proxy, the Lashkar-e-Toiba, to corner Narendra Modi. The evident bonhomie between the two parties is a product of Washington’s mediation, which is keen to retrieve something from the mess of its Afghan misadventure. Certainly, the elimination of Narendra Modi, physically if need be, as some observers, including myself, have warned of, would suit some quarters because otherwise he is guaranteed to propel the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead at the 2014 general elections.

Private polling has been showing that in the best-case scenario, the Sonia Gandhi Congress would simply not have the numbers to consider forming a government, even if the BJP itself failed to approach the magic number of 220 seats. An interesting question is the extent of involvement of some senior BJP leaders and their advisers in this colossal conspiracy. Some have enjoyed close ties with United States’ agencies since the Cold War period when Nehruvian nonalignment was considered nothing short of support for the Soviet Union. Even closer ties have evolved between some leaders through the intervention of a prominent Indian business family in London who have always been US surrogates.

The so-called solution to the Kashmir dispute would almost certainly be based on the four-point formula suggested by the former Pakistan military president, Parvez Musharraf. It entails softening of Line of Control (LoC), self-governance, phased withdrawal of troops from entire Jammu and Kashmir and joint supervision by India and Pakistan. Pakistan is confident that such a plan would enable it to absorb the entire Kashmir Valley eventually making Indian resistance to such an outcome both politically costly and militarily expensive. Publicly-aired Pakistani misgivings about Musharraf’s four-point formula when it was first outlined were officially sponsored to create the impression that Pakistan would only acquiesce reluctantly. The idea was to make the Indian public believe that it was the gainer from the agreement. However, in private, there was widespread official consensus that the agreement would be a prelude to Pakistan gaining full sovereignty over the Kashmir Valley and possibly even more. The survival of other areas under Indian control would be rendered untenable if Pakistan were to achieve political suzerainty over the Valley and some adjacent areas.

The interim policy, in the aftermath of the agreement being fully implemented, would be to embark on a policy of demographic assault that has already succeeded in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The extensive marital links between PoK Kashmiris and Punjabis, for example, has ensured huge support for the Lashkar-e-Toiba’s activities against India. It is reasoned that encouraging marriage between residents of India’s Kashmir Valley and those on the Pakistani side with the help of local religious authorities would create a growing constituency within the Kashmir Valley that would be Pakistani in essence.

It is concluded that it would be impossible for the Indian authorities to curb this development because there would be an international human rights’ outcry. It is also perfectly well-known in Pakistan that India has failed to stop the massive migration of Bangladeshis into India which has grown to startling proportions in many cities far removed from the Indo-Bangladesh border. The result of such demographic changes would also guarantee the election of governments in Kashmir that would favour Anschluss with Pakistan.

Once such an elected government agitated, in the first instance, for closer ties with their Pakistani co-religionists, prior to elevating the demand to formal accession, the Indian government would be left in an unenviable position. It would have to consider intervening militarily from a position of huge political and military weakness. The Indian authorities would have to arrest very large numbers of Kashmiri politicians, stop all electoral processes and embark on a military crackdown that would result in massive casualties. The international and domestic Indian reaction to such a response to adverse developments can easily be anticipated. It appears Pakistan has leveraged its nuclear weapons with extraordinary success. By contrast, India’s aspiration to great power status would be in tatters, reduced to a weak, minor player.

In addition, it can be safely predicted that Pakistan will find ways to prevent India reaping any sort of peace dividend, by reducing military commitments on the India-Pakistan border once an agreement with Pakistan on Kashmir has been implemented. Such a peace dividend for India would be opposed implacably by Pakistan’s all-weather friend, China, itself examining every option for cutting India down to size. Any reductions in military commitments in relation to Pakistan would immediately mitigate India’s two-front war threat that alarms its defence planners. China will make sure that Pakistani redeployments in the aftermath of any peace deal with India will nevertheless remain a sufficient threat to prevent any significant Indian reduction in commitments against Pakistan. Indeed it may well be hazarded that the loss of Kashmir to Pakistan will create a strategic nightmare for India owing to altered military options on the ground and require even greater attention to the India-Pakistan border. The final denouement will be in the shape of an emboldened Pakistan facing an India militarily and politically weakened by the loss of Kashmir. Nothing that has transpired in the past sixty years suggests that Pakistan will abandon its determined quest to rival India, having emerged victorious over Kashmir.

As the conspiracy unfolds to derail Narendra Modi’s pursuit for national power, though he enjoys massive support along the length and breadth of the country, many outwardly innocuous events acquire more significance. The successful campaign that stopped Narendra Modi from even addressing a mere student gathering in the United States is likely to have been officially instigated. The same officials responsible for intervening against Narendra Modi also hold compromising files on the alternative to him, pertaining to his corrupt financial dealings and personal peccadilloes.

Govt behind Parliament attack, 26/11: Ishrat probe:officer

NEW DELHI: In what is certain to escalate the already vicious fight between the CBI and the IB over the IshratJahan "fake encounter case", a former home ministry officer has alleged that a member of the CBI-SIT team had accused incumbent governments of "orchestrating" the terror attack on Parliament and the 26/11 carnage in Mumbai.

R V S Mani, who as home ministry under-secretary signed the affidavits submitted in court in the alleged encounter case, has said that Satish Verma, until recently a part of the CBI-SIT probe team, told him that both the terror attacks were set up "with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislation (sic)".

Mani has said that Verma "...narrated that the 13.12. 2001(attack on Parliament) was followed by Pota (Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act) and 26/11 2008 (terrorists' siege of Mumbai) was followed by amendment to the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act)."

The official has alleged Verma levelled the damaging charge while debunking IB's inputs labelling the three killed with Ishrat in the June 2004 encounter as Lashkar terrorists.

Contacted by TOI, Verma refused to comment. "I don't know what the complaint is, made when and to whom. Nor am I interested in knowing. I cannot speak to the media on such matters. Ask the CBI," said the Gujarat cadre IPS officer who after being relieved from the SIT is working as principal of the Junagadh Police Training College.

Mani, currently posted as deputy land and development officer in the urban development ministry, has written to his seniors that he retorted to Verma's comments telling the IPS officer that he was articulating the views of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

According to him, the charge was levelled by Verma in Gandhinagar on June 22 while questioning Mani about the two home ministry affidavits in the alleged encounter case.

In his letter to the joint secretary in the urban development ministry, Mani has accused Verma of "coercing" him into signing a statement that is at odds with facts as he knew them. He said Verma wanted him to sign a statement saying that the home ministry's first affidavit in the Ishrat case was drafted by two IB officers. "Knowing fully well that this would tantamount to falsely indicting of (sic) my seniors at the extant time, I declined to sign any statement."

Giving the context in which Verma allegedly levelled the serious charge against the government, Mani said the IPS officer, while questioning him, had raised doubts about the genuineness of IB's counter-terror intelligence. He disputed the veracity of the input on the antecedents of the three killed in June 2004 on the outskirts of Ahmedabad with Ishrat in the alleged encounter which has since become a polarizing issue while fuelling Congress's fight with Gujarat CM Narendra Modi.

Gujarat Police has justified the encounter citing the IB report that Pakistani nationals Zeeshan Zohar, Amzad Ali Rana and Javed Sheikh were part of a Lashkar module which had reached Gujarat to target Modi and carry out terrorist attacks.

In its first affidavit, filed in August 2009, the home ministry had cited IB inputs that those killed with Ishrat in the alleged encounter were part of a Lashkar sleeper cell, and had objected to a CBI probe into the "encounter".

In its second affidavit, filed in September 2009, the home ministry, irked by the Gujarat government treating the first affidavit as justification of the encounter, said the IB input did not constitute conclusive proof of the terrorist antecedents of those killed. It supported the demand for a CBI probe.

Mani said Verma doubted the input saying MHA's first affidavit was actually drafted by IB officer Rajinder Kumar, who looked after IB's operations in Gujarat at the time of Ishrat "encounter" and now runs the serious risk of being chargesheeted by the CBI for hatching the conspiracy behind the alleged extra-judicial killings.

Mani said Verma stuck to his guns even after being told that the home ministry did not need outside help. The former home ministry official said Verma insisted that the "input" was prepared after the encounter.

As per the above report Sajida w/o Javed Shaikh @ Pranesh Kumar Pillai one of the chaps who was in the gang which got killed had stayed at their home. Amjad Ali had stayed at the home of Javed Shaik using the alias of Bunty. Javed Shaik had travelled to Oman only to return having INR 2.5 lakhs and a Sattelite phone*. He did not mention the exact source of money. Using part of this money he purchased a second-hand Maruti car. When this car was brought home, Bunty was also there with Javed Shaik.

* Sattelite phones are banned in India for civilian use.
PS: The Malayalam news papers have started using the name Pranesh Kumar Pillai than his later avatar of Javed Shaikh. Dont know if this an attempt to make this terror suspect look "secular".

However, IB officials are perturbed by CBI's witch-hunt against their colleagues. IB Director Asif Ibrahim has requested PM and Home Minister to intercede on the agency's behalf. However, their hands are tied by political exigencies.

I think the IB is doing the right thing. Why botherr to give alerts when they are ignored often and always.
As for politicians security they have ample resources and have the power to create riots when 'big trees' fall. And the clout to keep the perpetratos out of jail.

And IB Directors should keep Cardinal Woolsey's lament in mind "If I had served my maker(God here Nation) with half the zeal I served my master (King Henry VIII, here INC), he would not have left me to my enemies!"

Two men--one identified by his second name Mishra and Firoz Alam--were arrested from Sonia Vihar area here last evening along with the cache of weapons concealed in the car used by them, a senior police officer said today.

"The pistols were kept in cavities created behind the headlights of the car. The weapons were made in Bihar's Munger district. The two arrested persons also hail from the same district," he said.

Munger has lately emerged as the hub of contraband weapons in the country, with pistols manufactured in the illegal factories there even founding their way to Indian Mujahideen terrorists, police sources said.

Earlier, investigators had recovered illegal weapons made in Munger from the five persons arrested in connection with Pune blasts.

They had allegedly told the police that they had bought the weapons from Munger.

Munger has lately emerged as the hub of contraband weapons in the country, with pistols manufactured in the illegal factories there even founding their way to Indian Mujahideen terrorists, police sources said.

Earlier, investigators had recovered illegal weapons made in Munger from the five persons arrested in connection with Pune blasts.

On terrorists going for country-made weapons, an official had claimed, "A country-made pistol manufactured in Munger was as good as a sophisticated one."

According to him, 130 pistols made in Munger were seized by the Delhi Police last year while the figure for this year stands at about 60.

Costing somewhere between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000, there is a demand for Munger weapons in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, the national capital and adjoining areas and Bangladesh.

Manufacturing Gun at Munger is more than 200 years old story. During the First World War period the Munger gun manufacturers came in to the prominence and production of cartridge gun was developed. Munger was perhaps the only city in India where guns manufacturers took shape of a cottage industry and become a popular profession. During Indo-China War of 1962 the defense ministry was in need of 410 bore musket which was prepared by Munger Gun Factory.!

Everyone has their pet pieves/ways and means. GKP is close to Chidu but very anti-Pak. He created hurdles for all the Pappi-Jhappis of MMS with Pakis. Israt thingy is good to be in Sonia's books to get his next career. Why care Modi and etc. His saying or not-saying has no meaning as the case is impossible to implicate Modi. Also, he is instrumental in making AP as colateral and Telangana as waterloo for INC by being 100% with them.

I would object to such characterization of Munger. Its an ancient city and has retained its urban character in modern day Bihar. It has lot of important educational institutions. The description in wiki about gun manufacturing being a cottage industry in munger (alone) would not be accurate. One might find trained artisans and use their skills but that is not in shortage elsewhere in the state where Gun is considered status or power symbol. But one would not find it easy to locate or even purchase Guns in Munger nor would be able to find gun factory in household ( not a common item of display) like that barbaric place Dera Adam Khel. Police is quite strict on illegal manufacturing though it persist due to availability of artisans.

Incidentally, former Principal of that School is related one.

I have been to the City quite often in my Childhood and my uncle had served there for few years.

The Arrah stone pelting was by students who were upset that one or two students became victims of accident involving Indian Railways.

The certain community thing has happened yesterday perhaps, at Deoband. Apparently some mullah was travelling by a bus when he was accosted by somebody. This mullah and coterie landed up at the police station and then a bunch of ummah guys reportedly decided to attack a local BJP leader's shops cum home. That is when some people from the other community also retaliated. Some firing too has been reported.

I expect more such messages to the Ummah to unite, before the 2014 elections.

What was this accident? I mean when IR Accidents do happen the death toll is higher. Hope it is not the usual case of standing on tracks, or trying to cross the railway tracks when the train was coming.

Senior BJP leader hacked to death in Salem - ToI

BJP state president Pon Radhakrishnan said Hindu leaders are being targeted and the government is not taking these murders seriously. The men produced in court by police in these cases are not the real assailants, Radhakrishnan said.

A serious of attacks on leaders with clear Hindutva leaning has been reported in recent times in the state.

Hindu Munnani and other Hindutva groups had even called a strike to protest the attacks, claiming that their leaders were under threat.

This is the first high-profile murder of a Hindutva leader since the killing of Hindu Munnani state president Rajagopalan in 1994. Ramesh, twice the general secretary of BJP in Tamil Nadu, has the reputation to be a Hindutva hardliner. He was a trustee of Chennai Port Trust when NDA held office at the Centre. His brother, Seshadri, is the ABVP national secretary. Ramesh was appointed official party spokesperson for the state earlier this week. His car was torched a couple of years ago, but he had escaped the attack.

BJP & Hindu Munnani leaders have been under attack for a long time in Tamil Nadu. Within the last one year, the attacks have increased manifold.

INDIA GETS DAWOOD’S DIGITS

IB &RAW pull off asensational breakthrough and confirm number procured by Delhi Police as that of Karachi- based Dawood Ibrahim

THE Intelligence Bureau ( IB) and Research and Analysis Wing ( R& AW) have confirmed that the voice samples provided by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in connection with the IPL betting and fixing case are of underworld kingpin and fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

The two central agencies wrote back to Delhi Police’s Special Cell on June 2, 2013 verifying that the Pakistan number 9233332064XXX was indeed being used by underworld don Dawood and Chhota Shakeel.

Since there was now a ready voice sample of Dawood against which it could be matched, R& AW did cross- referencing with people who are familiar with his voice. This is reportedly the first time that Indian agencies have been able to capture Dawood’s number and voice from an intercepted telephone call. It was on March 26 that the special cell stumbled on conversations between ‘ Dawood’ and Dubai- based bookie and businessman Javed Chautani from his Karachi number 9233332064XXX around 9.32 pm.

This call was picked up by special cell listeners who were tracking 30 such sensitive numbers.

Realising that the tone and tenor of the Karachi voice on this call matched Dawood’s, Special Cell officers alerted the Delhi Police Commissioner. One thing led to another and the entire spot- fixing fracas tumbled out.

Transcripts of Dawood’s conversation ( see box) have him discussing a Union minister with Chautani. This is the first time that a minister’s name has cropped up in this investigation, though the minister’s identity is still not known. Top bookie Ramesh Vyas during his confession under MCOCA on June 13, 2013 before DCP ( East) and a judicial magistrate — making it admissible in a court of law — further validated this by saying that he got a call from this same number ex- Karachi telling him “ jo bhi kaam karega, imandaari se karna ( Whatever you do, do it with honesty)”. Vyas in turn was part of a triangulated operation connecting Dawood, Chautani with Indian bookies like Tinku and Jupiter.

^^^ A Minister's name is doing rounds in this investigation, but nothing will come out. He seems to be a bigger crook than Dawood, even dawood say "Don't mess with that minister". No wonder the country is in such a pathetic state.
