Peregrine ji, yes, but the Chinese are already aware of the dangers, but in their strategic analysis, taking over the Gwadar port and laying a rail-cum-road corridor from there to Kashgar are far more important perhaps than minor 'safety-related issues' which they would leave to the PA to sort out. The PA have already co-opted the sarkari jihadists into Balochistan, by all accounts, for this purpose. Also, the PLA soldiers are the 'workers' in this project and they would be well protected by the time the project comes down to the plains of Balochistan from the Karakorams. Unlike the US, the PA would not be allowed by the Chinese to play a fraudulent double role. Besides, the BLA has some disruptive value but nothing beyond that. GoP will never have the will to expel the Chinese like what the Myanmar government did with its Myitsone dam project. The Chinese have invested far too much into this project already for them to walk away now.Peregrine wrote:This should give the Chinese many a "Thought" about the Development of Gwadar!

Leaked intelligence documents reveal Sharif's secret propaganda campaign to pressure India on Kashmir
According to the notes, Sharif has told his key advisors that Kashmir has to be given priority but he and the members of his Cabinet should not be seen as raising it too much.
Anti-India rhetoric should not be associated with key functionaries of the government, the Sharif plan says.
Analysts believe this part of the Sharif strategy is driven by the motive of keeping the Pakistan-India relationship on an even keel in the run-up to the New York meeting, for Islamabad wants to be seen as a moderate nation.
Part II of the Sharif strategy will be to ensure high voltage international propaganda. The ISI has been told to activate its propaganda cells on Kashmir in Brussels, London, Washington, New York and Toronto.
Some reports say that key Pakistani functionaries have also been told not to indulge in India-bashing.
Significantly, Jihadi leaders like Hafiz Mohammed Saeed have been told to continue their anti-India propaganda but keep the government completely out so deniability can be achieved.

Railways fares for AC sleeper and AC business class have been decreased, while the fare for economy class remains unchanged.
For the next three months, fares on all trains (yep! all four of them) excluding the Karakorum Express will be decreased by 17-57 percent. The lowest fare on the branch line has been decreased to Rs20

The much touted Gwadar Kashgar Rail-cum-road Corridor, methinks is highly over-rated.
The CARs and Xinjiang are at the moment routing their “International Trade” as well as Trade with Eastern Main Land China by the Trans Siberian and the Chinese Railway System.
The Chinese Railway System is of Standard Guage 1,435and the Russian along with the CARs have a gauge between 1,520 mm and 1,524 mm and a cursory viewing of the CARs Annual Trade pattern – from http://www.cia.gov - does not indicated any significant Trade with South Asia except Kyrgyzstan Imports about US$ 126,000 from UAE and Uzbekistan Exports about US$ 907,000 to Bangladesh.
The Pipe Lines from Kyaukpyu to Kunming and onwards were to be completed by May but are stalled for various reasons. I am sure that within the next Three to Six months the Chinese will commence the Pumping Oil and Natural Gas.
Link
As things stand I do not foresee any Commercial Development in Gwadar but, of course, the Strategic Agenda of China “Encircling India” should be the real issue. I think that the principle Chinese agenda in developing the Gwadar - Kashgar Link is to eventually control Balochistan! The oil pipeline starts in Kyaukpyu, in western Myanmar, enters China at Ruili, in western Yunnan Province, then heads to Chongqing. The 2,400 kilometer pipeline is intended to bring 23 million tons of Middle Eastern and African oil into the country every year.
In June 2010, a joint venture established by CNPC and Myanmar Oil & Gas Enterprise (MOGE) started work on the oil pipeline, which had estimated total investment of US$ 1.5 billion. CPP started work on the China section three months later.
The natural gas pipeline runs from Maday Island in Myanmar, also enters China at Ruili, and ends in the Guangxi region. The 2,500 kilometer pipeline is designed to handle 12 billion cubic meters of natural gas from an offshore field in Myanmar annually.
Six companies – a CNPC subsidiary, MOGE, two South Korean firms and two Indian concerns – formed a joint venture to invest a total of US$ 1 billion in the project. Work on the two parts of the gas pipeline started at the same time as that for the oil pipeline.

‘Anti-drone’ militant group claims Parachinar twin blasts
PESHAWAR: A new militant group by the name of Ansarul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the Parachinar attack which has left at least 57 dead and around 180 injured and says this is their first attack outside Waziristan.
Speaking to Dawn.com from an undisclosed location, a spokesman for Ansarul Mujahideen, Abu Baseer, said the group had been set up to respond to US drone strikes.
Baseer said the organisation was “very clear” about its mission, adding that “with each drone attack, we will be responding with a suicide attack…we have done it and shown it”.
He said the recent suicide attacks on Esha check post, Boya check post and Damdail check post were carried out by Ansarul Mujahideen in retaliation to US drone strikes, adding that these would continue.
Pakistan’s official position on drone attacks says these are counter productive and undermine government efforts to separate tribes from militants, violate Pakistan’s sovereignty, kill civilians and fuel anti-US sentiment.
Regarding yesterday’s twin blasts, Baseer said the attacks had been carried out in reaction to “the atrocities committed against the majority Sunni population in Iraq and Syria”, adding that the Ansarul Mujahideen would target “those who somehow support” these atrocities.( poak logic rocks )

Islamic logic - Jihadi Suicide bomber is more Islamic than normal citizen. Killing a true Muslim is not an Islamic act.
Secular logic - The state or others have no business with another citizen's personal religious belief. By stopping a suicide bomber, the residents denied practicing his religious belief of Jihad. By shooting the bomber the residents denied his religious prerogative, that too in the holy month.
Liberal logic - the residents do not have any right to take away the human rights of the suicide bomber, who was trying to enter the community. They cannot resort to crime-prevention because the suicide bomber is not a criminal (even that requires due process) until the crime is committed.
Only Hindu communal logic allows the prevention of such soooside bombers by shooting them, using their Dharmic principles. Perhaps the Hinduness in those pakis raised its ugly head.

Project in limbo: Indus Refinery sponsor struggles to revive project
Here is the misfortunate sob story ... Even the Ummah and All Weather Fliend bailed out.The deep-conversion oil refinery, which has capacity to process 93,000 barrels per day, has been dormant for the past five years as the main sponsor has struggled to woo suitable partners in the face of tough economic conditions, law suits and deteriorating security situation.
“I am now engaged with Germans who want to use IRL’s land and permits while financing a complete new refinery. We are looking at capacity of between 100,000bpd to 150,000bpd,” said Sohail Shamsi, the Chairman and CEO who holds 87% stake in IRL.
In case you were wondering where is the demand (begging) ....?Since then Shamsi has tried luck with Chinese, Arab and Pakistani investors but in vain. “Once we were so close bringing the Chinese but bombs started to go off at home and they pulled out at the last minute. {Isn't that a routine thing... bombs going off all the time? }”
Now, he needs just $50 million to pay various contractors and consultants who were involved in the dismantling process to bring back whatever equipment is stranded in Canada.

Fighting gallantly, the personnel of the FC repulsed the attack of the militants, who were persistently receiving a large amount of human and material reinforcements from the tribal area of Miranshah during the three hours long battle,” said a senior official at the FC headquarters in Peshawar.

Suspicious betting patterns: ICC to scrutinise Pak vs WI matches
Suspicious betting patterns were identified during the low-profile five-match series, which concluded on Thursday, while unusually slow run-rates during certain overs followed by bursts of high scoring have ‘set alarm bells ringing’, according to industry experts.
Concerns have been raised, in particular, around the tied third match of the series played in St Lucia a week ago on Friday, as well as the final game, which resulted in a last-ball win for Pakistan on Thursday.
One betting website reported unusually large sums of money — said to run into several millions of pounds — being wagered between innings on a tied result during the third ODI after the West Indies were set 230 to win from 50 overs.
Pakistan appeared to be cruising to victory, with their opponents still requiring 45 off the last 21 balls and only three wickets left. But with the tail-enders scoring at more than four times the rate of most of their team-mates, West Indies scraped the unlikeliest of ties.
Field placings for the final over, when No 11 Jason Holder and fellow tail-ender Kemar Roach crashed 14 off six balls from Wahab Riaz, will be scrutinised by officers of the ICC Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), along with a failed run-out bid off the last delivery.

If I hadn’t fallen off the lifter, I could have been assassinated: Imran Khan
LONDON: An assassination attempt was scheduled for the day after my fall during a pre-election rally in Lahore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said in his article for the Daily Mail.
Imran suffered injuries as he fell off a lifter while being raised onto a stage to address a huge crowd gathered in Lahore’s Gulberg area on May 7.
“If I hadn’t been in hospital, I could have been dead,” Imran said, adding that the then interior minister told him about the scheduled assassination attempt when he visited him in the hospital.
The PTI chief went on to say that “the fall that nearly killed me quite possibly saved my life.”

TSP, in its usual arrogant self, believes that it is doing a favour to India by buying electricity from us. GoP considers this as a trading opportunity for India (and therefore a favour which the Islamist jihadist terrorists want to deny to India) while India believes that such an offer would make the prodigal, misled younger brother see Indian kindness and genuine help. There is a huge difference in perception. Has always been. I won't be surprised if TSP even demands subsidized rates (and India concedes to that in its misplaced enthusiasm and approach) because it is 'entitled' to that after having been India's rulers for 1000 years having been deprived of their possession only by British intervention.kish wrote:This is hilarious "No Electricity from Terrorist India", its as if India is requesting pukistan to give electricity. SSJi,
What is this reference to Ramban massacre in the above pics held by pigLeTs?
On the huge difference in perception, you are right. I don't have Jihadhi Lodhi's most recent terrorist warning, but in that, talking about US-initiated Doha piss process, she laments TSP's good Talibunnies pre-maturely announcing that Afghan soil won't be used for attacks against other countries. Look at the brazenness. First, how much TSP considers Afghanistan as their territory, and second, the key reason for that: to plot and launch terrorist attacks against India.
So you see, in TSP's perception, it is indeed offering India a humongous, matter of fact, existential concession by holding back pigLeTs (so called "non state actors") because attacks by "non-state actors" could result in nuclear war. Once again, you see the audacity, posing as a passive observer, when in fact TSP is the subject, the core of this evil charade.
On whose perception has more merit, dare I say that TSP's has more merit , and you know the reason why, no need for repeatedly highlight India's pathetic plight, both internally and in dealing with this terrorist abomination.

My name is Pakistan and I’m not an Arab
For example, families and clans that had emerged from within the South Asian region began to claim that their ancestors actually came from Arabia.
Something like this happened within the Paracha clan as well. In 1982 a book (authored by one of my grandfather’s many cousins) claimed that the Paracha clan originally appeared in Yemen and was converted to Islam during the time of the Holy Prophet (Pbuh).
The truth, however, was that like a majority of Pakistanis, Parachas too were once either Hindus or Buddhists who were converted to Islam by Sufi saints between the 11th and 15th centuries.
