Of course his presence will signal to other voters of Bihar that there is no difference in what NaMo offers and his technic and what laloo and INC are offering. Well NiKu would be gainer in that case, and probably Left too.. Sadhu is no leader of Yadavas, he can bring criminal elements only. Yadavas are no fools to leave Laloo and choose Sadhu. And there are better Yadav leaders then Sadhu. Rest assured.Muppalla wrote:Sadhu Yadav should not be taken in as a tweet by Shusil Modi and response here is knee jerk reaction. NaMo's team is working on breaking the vote banks. First of all Baba Ramdev is quietly working on breaking the Yadav citadels of Bihar. In talking to Sadhu, you will get to know what he needs and he can bring that is useful to BJP. It is possible that you can throw some bread crumbs for a return of a seat or two in Yadav strongholds. He can be lined in to support a yadav candidate chosen by BJP.

Well, NaMo is no fool to take Sadhu in. Meeting could be just courtesy call.Time will tell only.
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
How much support does NaMo have in the southern states of KA, AP, TN and KL?
People living in these states, is there any buzz on the ground for him?

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
He can only see support by establishing the party in the south. Otherwise, whatever numbers you get does only correlate to some other party tie-ups etc. Now, these assumptions can change once he begins his SI tour, and spells his speeches to check it out.. if he does not come down south further down from HYD, then we can't tell. He must come down and start canvasing.
firstly, what are his state-wise plans? what is he going to bring on the table that would make SIs think about it.. and go, mmm.. interesting.. worth it. etc. to get a start.

I seriously doubt this. This might indeed be true for Christo-Nazi types. However as far as regular people in South are concerned Namo will win hands down in any comparison with Sonia Gandhi/Rahul Gandhi.Theo_Fidel wrote:Sonia appears to have overcome her identity problem.

I don't think he 'rocked' the vote group.
It is a question he will have to answer. Go directly to the people or go to the existing leaders. Completely different approach.

that means the ideal crowd pulling SI wear would be
- stripped phattaphatti (desh bhakt colors)
- white dhoti or desh bhakt color lungi, half folded to show the inner stripes half of it.
- MG chappals or hawai chappals
- white jibba or loose torn banian
- a short towel tied either on the head or thrown over the shoulders.
- SI MooKha glasses
- MG stick
- ill-kept hair and unshaven half beard
- or a singham beard
- paan lips, with spit marks on the cheeks
- few rough looks with folded tongue popping out..

Saik,
Don't be ridiculous.
But it is an interesting SDRE image...
You forgot the Bullet or Yezdi in the back ground.
Look at how Yeddiurappa dresses.
--------------------------------------------------
BTW there is nothing new about the Center right article. Some of us pointed this out many moons ago only to get roundly panned by the internet crowd here. Elections are always won at the local level. If NM wants to win he must get down to local level.
-----------------------------------------------------------
WRT Chattisgarh the security situation has deteriorated alarmingly. You can't drive the roads without being stopped by random people for money. If there is a reason Raman singh gets the boot it will be that one. Increasingly he is restricted to Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba, Bhilai, type areas. There is no presence of administration out in the country side.
The Congress how ever remains ridden with factionalism. The AAP has a surprisingly strong support. Who ever gets the AAP support will win.

The Vote in Telangana alone is 20 million +/-. 2 lakh is nothing.....
There are tiny towns I'm driving through that have more vote than that.
If NM wants Rajni's support he is going to have to approach him a certain way...

AAP has been very selective in the states it targets. Delhi, Chattisgarh where ever there is a chance of a close contest.Theo_Fidel wrote: The Congress how ever remains ridden with factionalism. The AAP has a surprisingly strong support. Who ever gets the AAP support will win.
And if AAP will swing voters any way it will be towards the dynasty.
And from what I have seen on social media, less than 10% Xtian will vote for BJP or Modi. The multi-year propaganda has worked, and the narrative on the media is very sympathetic to the fears they have. Every act of violence is being saffronized.
A priest gets arrested for some conflict in Gaya and he is linked to the blast in the temple.
VHP is now being blamed for Kishtwar riots in the Chindu.
It is shocking to see such blatant lies being peddled by the media. It is an emergency without a declared one.
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
Hmmm, by that logic Sonia must not get any votes for congress right? After all even if she comes (in her sari, ofcourse) to give a speech she would get maybe 2000 people at a max, who in all probability are coming for the biriyani.Theo_Fidel wrote:The Vote in Telangana alone is 20 million +/-. 2 lakh is nothing.....

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
That article is just a warning. C'mon guys Modi is an organizational man. He knows that these things have to be fixed. so he heard from someone or read somewhere that DK Shivakumar is wooing yeddy, does that mean anything, to me it means nothing and absolutely nothing to panic over. Look for news just 3 days back, where Namo has made it clear that he will not even step foot in Karnataka next month for the speech until yeddy is properly re-inducted into BJP. So the article opens a can of worms and people who have no knowledge of the modi functions come here and give him advice and talk about AAP getting support in Chhattisgarh (like as if they have ground level workers in Chhattisgarh). Next, has the congress party given any indication of what they plan on doing in bihar?? Do they plan on going alone or with nitish or with rjd?? In that event why should modi disclose what plans he has with marandi yeddy or raj thackeray.BhairavP wrote:That Centreright article is truly alarming. Now I am not trying to be all optimistic here. The only area of concern that is genuine is the delhi election. BJP has no credible leader there or anything different to offer and they will suffer there.

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
matter of fact, LKA did reach out to Rajni some years back... but the problem is Shatru who is a Rajini dhost! so NM may not get a hand like LKA could.
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
We can't decide popularity until all 20 million voters in Telangana attend a Modi rally, I guess? Why trust opinion polls, then? Do they even interview 2 lakh people? Or just several thousand? By that logic, every opinion poll needs to be a full-fledged election, where every single voter is interviewed. And every rally has to have a voter participation of >50%, before it can be deemed a success. Otherwise, we can't claim that any leader "rocked" any voter group.
How exactly should Modi go about shedding his GJ image? Speaking to a Telugu rally crowd in Telugu doesn't cut it, obviously. Modi, no doubt is a GJ chauvinist - witness the way he selectively extracted Gujarati victims from the UK disaster site, while thumbing his nose at the remaining hapless Indians. Shocking display of narrow-minded GJ identity.
He will have to wear a lungi, speak/swear in Madras street Tamil, say macchi and dey naye, saukraki and soplangi. He will have to eat an idli/vada and bonda with day-old chutney, pander to every S. Indian/Tamil stereotype, before he can be said to have overcome his GJ identity.
Well, really now.
