LKG is true Paki Sindhi ka bachha
Kabhi nahi Sachha

Absolutely childish and and selfish to the core
Can't believe the love of power ok lust of power is making him stoop so low

krodhadbhavati sammohah sammohatsmrtivibhramah
smrtibhramsad buddhinaso buddhinasatpranasyati (Gita 2:63)

From anger arises delusion, from delusion; confusion of memory; from which grows loss of reason; and with loss of reason, (discrimination), he goes to complete ruin. (Gita 2:63)

Comments:
'Krodhadbhavati sammohah'—From anger, arises delusion. In fact, delusion comes not only from anger, but also from desire, greed and attachment.

(i) Delusion born of desire, veils discrimination and so a man goaded by desire performs undesirable actions.
(ii) Delusion arising from anger, makes a person utter harsh and pinching words, even to friends and loved ones, and makes one do wrong and cruel deeds.
(iii) Delusion born of greed makes a man blind and he cannot distinguish between the real and the unreal, (right and the wrong) ;and he cheats others by using fraudulent methods.

The next installment of BJP's routine "ADVANI KO MANAO" dance has started -

LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj stall BSY return - http://www.deccanchronicle.com/130924/n ... bsy-return

I would say NaMo needs to pull up his socks and teach Advani a lesson. I am not impressed by his servile praise of Advani in every speech. A good leader should know when and how to crack the whip.

again.. if the bjp takes a vote on bsy, then lkji and yes yes ji will face another role model hit.. in the sense, it could also affect leadership controls and management aspects. it is better they are summoned for intra party meet, and thrash the darn thing out. otherwise, the brew can ferment, and take bad turns in terms of votes.

West Bengal waiting to explode as communal tensions simmer beneath the surface

Seems almost exactly as Bji predicted. Mamta has caved in so completely and cravenly to the islamists that it is, despite itself, creating a countervailing Hindu polarization even in secular Bengal. Reports from that other red bastion Kerala too are hinting that the CPM, which was the only default choice available to the majority community as the Cong went the minority appeasement way, is now being relegated to the sidelines as the BJP slowly gains ground.
At the Eid namaz at Red Road on August 9, Maulana Qari Fazlur Rehman berated the Chief Minister for the rise of Hindu consolidation in villages and demanded she put an end to it. Mamata Banerjee, who was present on the occasion for the second consecutive year, was unpleasantly surprised when the Maulana accused her Government of failing to meet its promises to the minorities.

The tradition of attending the Eid namaz despite not being a member of the community was begun by Mamata Banerjee, and was not practiced by the communists under the Left regimes.

Mamata Banerjee showed exemplary toughness in combating the Maoist menace in the State, as exemplified by the killing of Kishenji, even though Maoists had supported her party in the run up to the elections two years ago. She refused to yield an inch on the issue of a separate Gorkhaland. But she seems increasingly at sea on the issue of Islamic assertiveness. Currently, her sole plan appears to be appeasement.

According to informed sources, Maulana Rehman was angry that the Hindu Samhati, a relatively new organisation trying to defend the Hindu community when temples were attacked or women and girls molested or abducted, had established 1600 branches across the State. He explicitly asked the bemused Chief Minister to do ‘something’ about it.

He further demanded that she implement the recommendations of the Sachar Committee report, and called her a ‘liar’ for claiming to have fulfilled 90 per cent of the promises made to the community.

Maulana Rehman told the Chief Minister before the mammoth gathering that Trinamool Congress won the recent panchayat elections on the backs of Muslims and demanded reciprocal benefits on the form of housing, schools and colleges in poor and backward Muslim areas. The beleaguered Chief Minister immediately announced reservations for Muslims in higher education, from 2014, and promised further business avenues such as shops and small-scale enterprises. Trinamool MP Sultan Ahmed, also present at the Red Road prayers, tried to placate the Maulana by claiming that the State Government had recruited 11 per cent to 15 per cent Muslims in the police, home guards and civil defence wings.

Previously, in 2012, the Eid namaz at Red Road was led by Imam Mohd Nur ur Rahman Barkati of the Tipu Sultan Mosque. He told the Chief Minister that Muslims had dislodged the CPM regime and would not hesitate to do the same with the Trinamool Congress if their wishes were not satisfied.

The lists of Muslim demands includes: bring all Muslims under the OBC category (80 per cent are already included); reservations in employment and education (the latter has now been met); 25 per cent reservation in accommodation in new cities like Rajarhat; 5000 new flats for Muslims to be built by the Kolkata Corporation. The growing stridency of Muslim leaders is beginning to cause unease among the regime as some assess the cumulative impact of growing violence across the State.
Oh, read it all... depressing reading only, somewhat. The entire eastern seaboard is in ferment, seems like. Rajiv Malhotra's 'Breaking India' theses dance alarmingly in the mind's eye onlee...

Best solution is make Greater Hyderabad as another state. The revenue of that state should be shared on 40+40+20 basis (Seemandhra+Telengana+Hyderabad). Ask both Seemandhra and Telengana to develop their own respective capitals.

If TRS cribs, then ask a plebiscite. If Telengana people wants their own state, so people of Hyderabad. I think someone on INC or TDP should start "Mana Hyderabad" campaign.

I think best thing is for T people to have a plebiscite. TRS after 10 years still cannot manage more than a third of the seats in T.
I think it would be good to once and for all see how many T ppl support a separate T-state.

SS is burning all her bridges in her dedication towards LKA. Unless it is part of a grand CT, there is a very strong chance that she will be offered a tough seat to fight and then eased out of BJP top echoleaons.
Great leaders do not forget their friends and foes and unfortunately SS is hanging onto coattails of a leader who is discredited with his own party and age is not on his side. I wonder if she is going to be next Renuka Chowdhary or Najma Heptullah and if she is fishing for expulsion from BJP sometime in future. On top SS has no mass base or state to fall back upon just like LKA.
Having said that, she is a good asset at least in Parliament with good oratory skills and credibility factor.

Narendra Modi to be all over Delhi on Sunday, 100 LEDs installed
The Delhi unit of BJP is making all possible efforts for the grand success of September 29 rally. The rally will be addressed by the party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at Swarna Jayanti Maidan (Japani Park) of Rohini in Delhi.

Modi magic is evident all around in the national capital especially among the youths. Given the fact, the party is paying special focus on the first time voters. To tap the charisma of Gujarat Chief Minister, the party is planning to install huge LED sets in restaurants of Delhi where youths are usually found hanging on. For this, the party leaders are in touch with the restaurant owners for live coverage of Modi’s speech.

The party will install around 100 LED screens across the city for live telecast of the rally. A strong crowd of around five lakh is expected at the first major public rally ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.

To reach out to the maximum number of people of the national capital, LEDs will be installed in places like markets, railway stations, interstate bus terminus of Delhi.

Besides this, the party has reportedly spotted 100 busiest places in the national capital where LED screens will be set up for live airing of Modi’s rally on September 29. It is also said that the party is taking the help of IT experts for this purpose.

The party unit in Delhi has formed a committee under former State chief Vijendra Gupta who said that party leaders had visited the venue of the rally and spoken to the police authorities about preparations especially on security arrangements.

Several trader associations of the city have also decided to put up screens in the markets.

According to Gupta, traders associations have demanded putting up of LEDs in markets as the day being Sunday and city markets will be crowded and they won’t be able to close markets.

Locations picked up for installing LEDs include, Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar and Kamla Nagar markets, ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, railway station near Paharganj, Uttam Nagar Chowk , Khajuri Khas Chowk and the Shahdara Vegetable Mandi. Besides, live telecast will also be made through internet.

BJP leaders are of the view that public response to the rally will be unprecedented. The party is expecting to reach out to over 25 lakh people.

Please read this excellent article by a Muslim himself!
There are number of reasons for the Muslims of Gujarat to move beyond the 2002 riots, primarily because in the 9 major cases of rioting and arson, the perpetrators of the crime were convicted, justice prevailed and the rule of law was established.

Recently, India's most well-known film script-writer Salim Khan (actor Salmaan Khan's father) has said to a senior journalist in an interview: "Does anyone remember who the chief minister of Maharashtra was during the Mumbai riots which were no less deadly than the Gujarat riots of 2002? Does anyone recall the name of the chief minister of UP during Malliana and Meerut riots or that of the Bihar CM when the Bhagalpur or Jamshedpur riots under Congress regimes took place? Do we hear names of earlier chief ministers of Gujarat under whose charge, hundreds of riots took place in post-Independence India? Does anyone remember who was in-charge of Delhi's security when the 1984 massacre of Sikhs took place in the capital of India? How come Narendra Modi has been singled out as the Devil Incarnate as if he personally carried out all the killings during the riots of 2002?" No speck of doubt about what Salim Khan has said.

Modi, in fact, has given a new formula of inclusive development to our secular country by removing the labels of religion, castes and creed. He approaches the people as one and designs schemes intended to benefit all Gujaratis, thus eliminating the evil divide and rule formula of vote-bank politics from which the country is suffering from. No help or aid or scheme has been launched in Gujarat in the last 11 years in the name of religion or caste.

This could be the quintessence of inclusive growth with communal harmony. No wonder we see the highly respected and eminent Muslim scholar Maulana Vastanvi, a Gujarati Muslim himself, saying that, "Gujarati muslims had benefited from the inclusive development policies of Modi's government." Unfortunately he was forced to resign from his post as Vice-Chancellor of Deoband for saying so.

Another prominent Islamic scholar, Maulana Mehmood Madni of Jamiatul Ulema-e-Hind, had agreed that Muslims in Gujarat were better off in many disciplines as compared to other states. Yet another prominent non-resident Gujarati Lord Adam Patel of the UK, during his visit to India, met Modi at Gandhinagar and appreciated his peace initiatives and the inclusive prosperity among the Muslims of Gujarat. Not only the Muslims of Gujarat, in a recent interview given to 'Milli Gazette', former IG of Police, Maharashtra, SM Mushrif said: "The most safe place for Muslims today is Gujarat." He further says that the state of Maharashtra has done the greatest damage to the Muslim community which is ruled by so-called secular parties like the NCP and the Congress for the last 10 years. So many cannot be wrong at the same time; there remains no doubt about why Muslims are gravitating towards Modi.

I agree with your dichotomy and it explains the current situation to a great extent.

The political-T is blaming even commoner-SA for the issues it has with political-SA; thus making commoner-T confused and hate commoner-SA.
I think it is time for saner voices to make their presence felt. People should be made to see through the political mechanism.

The commoner-SA in their agitation is keeping political-SA completely out of the equation. Their call is to commoner-T and not political-T.
That could be the redeeming feature provided it does not turn violent. We don't want precious lives lost

Coming to Hyderabad, yes geography is not right. By that logic, the geography of Telangana is also not right. I do not believe that too-big to manage logic. In this day of technological advance it is not logical to make those artificial boundaries.
I am not sure about T-Geography as I read different view points. My basic point is people have long asked for it. Their is some merit in their demands. language is not the only unifying or diving factor as was thought of on earlier occasions.both side has been disproved. Smalll State Vs. Big State is an older administrative debate. If resources are not shared evenly then people of one area would feel deprived of resources, power and opportunities. Smaller states confines resources to a homogeneous area. What was done in Hyd is of no consequence as economic opportunities will be available to everyone in Hyd even after division. Constitution guarantees that. Whe India was bifurcated, all irrigated fertile lands were in Pakistan. India did better in retrospect. Similarly Bihar case. No language issue but now it is better governed. There is no causative or empirical link in the size of states and its governability. Small size may lack necessary resources for lager projects and would have to depend on Centre for financial and other expertise. That would lead to more powerful centre in the long run. It could be , again , good or bad, depending on how we do it.So ultimately it is political and that means voice of people ( as per one definition).

That said, AP is fair for bi/trifurcation if it is done universally all over india with same set of rules and criteria. As and when that happens, we all believe Hyderabad must remain with its surrounding areas.
There is no hard and fast rule, let alone a Universal Rule. May be after people wisened up there could be talk of consolidation as well in future.

If you read peoples posts here, everyone is against center grabbing Hyderabad from both Telangana and SA people.
I think HYD as UT is a terrible idea. And it will aggravate the issue. Theonly good I can see is that it may result in wiping out of Khangrace from that area. Further as I see it AP sustained them and with AP going out of their fold , chances of NaMo would be brighter if he plays it right. Yes . It is political.

Thanks RamaY garu for bearing with my views. I want commoner to feel safe and be secure.

Those who missed Orissa election -
http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/o ... 153736.ece

BJD bags 41 out of 66 urban local bodies in Orissa

Congress wins 10, Independents 2; BJP fails to impress; no party secures clear majority in 12 ULBs

The ruling Biju Janata Dal headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has performed well in the elections held in the 66 urban local bodies in the State though it suffered setbacks in some of its strongholds.

Of the 65 urban local bodies for which results were announced after counting of the votes on Friday, the BJD secured a majority in as many as 41 ULBs, while opposition Congress won a majority in 10 civic bodies, and Independents managed to win in a majority of wards in two ULBs.

No clear majority was secured by any party or independent candidates in as many as 12 ULBs, according to State Election Commissioner Ajit Kumar Tripathy.

Out of the total number of 1121 wards the results of which were announced by the State Election Commission, BJD bagged 642, while Congress won 318, BJP 47, Independents 101and others 10.

The Bharatiya Janata Party failed to secure a majority in any of the 65 ULBs as it fared badly in the polls. It only managed to win seven of the total 15 wards in Rairangpur Notified Area Council in Mayurbhanj district.

The results of the Vyasanagar Municipality in Jajpur district will be known on Saturday.

Polling was conducted in two booths there on Friday as non-functioning of the voting machines had led to postponement of polling on Thursday.

The BJD achieved success despite the party chief fighting the polls without his one-time trusted lieutenant Pyarimohan Mohapatra who had since formed a regional political outfit. Mr. Patnaik had not only deployed his Ministers and legislators in different urban local bodies to oversee the campaign, he had extensively used helicopter to address public meetings in a majority of civic bodies seeking support for his party nominees.

The hard work of Mr. Patnaik and his party colleagues paid dividends and the party managed to come out successful in a majority of ULBs. Though the BJD managed to maintain its hold in the Berhampur Municipal Corporation by bagging 24 of the 40 seats, it lost the election in coastal Jagatsinghpur Municipality. The BJD won nine of the 21 wards in Jagatsinghpur, while the Congress nominees won in 12 wards. The party also lost the polls in the Nayagarh and Pipili notified area councils.

As regards the Congress, the party managed to perform well in many ULBs under the leadership of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Jayadev Jena, who had been facing non-cooperation from several of the senior leaders of his party since his recent appointment as PCC chief. The party had done much better than the 2008 civic polls, Mr. Jena said.

BJP State unit president Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo admitted that the party had not performed as was expected by them. He also blamed the BJD for winning the polls by using money and muscle power, and using the administration in a wrong manner.

Cabinet clears ordinance to shield convicted lawmakers
NEW DELHI: An ordinance to protect convicted MPs and MLAs from facing immediate disqualification was approved on Tuesday by the Union Cabinet, in effect negating an order of the Supreme Court.

Government decided to bring the ordinance after failing to get a Bill to this effect passed in Parliament during the recent monsoon session, sources said.

The government's decision to take the ordinance route came against the backdrop of a Congress MP Rashid Masood facing the prospect of disqualification as he was recently convicted in a case of corruption and other offences.

The Supreme court on July 10 had ruled that an MP or an MLA would stand disqualified immediately if convicted by a court for crimes with punishment of two years or more.

To negate the Supreme Court order, the government moved to amend the law and brought the Representation of the People (second amendment) Bill, 2013 in Rajya Sabha during the last session. However, the bill could not be passed.

Once the quantum of punishment is pronounced by a CBI court next month, Masood faces the prospects of losing his membership of Rajya Sabha as per the apex court order.

Subramanian Swamy ‏@Swamy39 now

PC attacking Modi is a joke. In 2001 Modi BJP Gen Secy and PC approached for admission into BJP. But Party President Krishnamurthy rejected

With Conviction or even just trial? Then, whats the situation of Kanimozhi, Raja, Kalmadi, ...etc?

Ok So now Centre clears the Ordinance to overturn the judgement of SC in cases of convicted persons debarred from contesting elections. Now Political parties can heave a sigh of relief and we can all vote for criminals without ethical issues bothering us.

Anyone here?? Who still want to hear sermons from Political class about criminalisation of politics. What we have seen is Politicisation of criminals over the eyars and they have taken over the constitutional institutions such as Parliament. It is a Law of the criminals , by Criminals, for the criminals .
All is for 30th September.

Personally, I felt SCs decision was half-ass'ed.

Some of the SC Lawyers and the judges themselves live in the world totally disconnected from reality - not some niche reality - but the average day-to-day reality of Indians. Case in point is Karuna Nundy. Totally disconnected from reality. And it is not their fault, blame it on their cocooned upbringing.

Another case in point is the NSA slapped on the BJP MLA in UP. If that MLA has done something wrong and unlawful that NSA is applicable, feel free to do that. But why the selective application of law to only a subset of MLAs? Why not NSA was slapped on the Sapa and Baspa MLAs? Why is not NSA slapped on Mani Shankar Aiyar? Why is not NSA slapped on DigVijay (Batla house) and any other CongIs?

Basically, any of those acts can be used to cut short a political career. Another example, on twitter - the CONmix-writer-turned-political-commentator-turned-rape-law-expert Rupa S accused a journo of "Sexual Harassment". That is a serious charge. And later Rupa retracted - with a lot of well-deserved egg on her face.

So SCs judgement had great potential to be abused.

BTW, I have met far worse babus and bolis than politicos. So let us keep our righteous indignation in check - we do need a law that debars criminal convicts from holding office and it should not be just a political office.
