And what is the purpose of that propaganda? Looks like something Indina WKK would come up with.

Does the terrorist saying he is not a monster negate the fact that he did kill many people including obviously pregnant woman?

The rascal doesnt not like to be called what he is by a 4 year child who could recognize him while grown media reporters obfuscate the facts.

B.N. Sudarshan, a native of Ramanagaram, near Bangalore, is among the 62 people killed during the siege of a mall in Kenyan capital Nairobi, which began on Saturday.

Mr. Sudarshan’s elder brother Ramprasad confirmed to The Hindu here on Tuesday that the officials from the Indian Embassy in Kenya communicated to them the tragic news of his brother’s death in the terror strike late on Monday.

Mr. Sudarshan (50), a bachelor, was running the export wing of Om Sree Engineers & Consultants from Ghana. Mr. Ramprasad said that Mr. Sudarshan had left for Kenya on Friday on a business trip. “He had about two hours work in Kenya as he also deals with the publication and distribution of books for schoolchildren in Kenya. He was set to leave for Uganda on Sunday. But, he got shot at the mall,” he rued.

This is how a leader and a proud people, would lead and respond.
For his part, Kenyatta vowed "full accountability for the mindless destruction, deaths, pain, loss and suffering we have all undergone."

"These cowards will meet justice, as will their accomplices and patrons, wherever they are."

He thinks the harassment could come from either members of the public or Kenyan authorities, who have previously been accused of harassing ethnic Somalis as they search for Islamist militants.
What does it take to qualify to be dubbed as "terrorists"? White widow types gunning down little children doesn't qualify?
The NPR another secular apologist front still refers to the terrorists as militants.

Interesting, according to the story, the SAS guy was drinking coffee at the mall. Is it pretty casual to carry a Glock for an off duty officer in a foreign country? Umhhh....

Reading the news reports of the terrorist atrocity and the accounts of the survivors makes the blood boil. There is some thing wrong in the belief system, which makes some of its followers act this way, while most of the others are cowed into silence.

It is most uncivilised.

They attackers and their support system needs to be dealt with utmost most severity.

during 26/11 attack also some of the dead bore signs of mutilation , rape and torture. a local mumbai paper even published a few pics of that. but MSM under strict order from GOI swept it under the rug so as not to disrupt the peace process with TSP and to calm the public anger.

the kenyan government has shown how to stand firm, be clear and condemn terrorism in its words and actions. the president has acted as a leader, the armed forces have done their duty and the people have rallied together.

in mumbai, we had 2 of the 3 criteria superbly met, and 1 that was miserably flawed

well done Kenya

Varoon Shekhar wrote:Still awaiting details about how the terrorists entered the mall in the first place- this is the 4th day, for crying out loud. The report on the breakdown of the nationalities/ethnicities, particularly among the missing people, is still vague at best. Just yesterday, there were reportedly at least 50 people unaccounted for- what are their backgrounds, and most of all, what happened to them?

Also, there appears to be a reluctance( by the international media) to show what the local Kenyan media is doing, and what information they have unearthed. You would think that Kenya doesn't have a media of its own, or one that is carrying out its own investigation. Wouldn't they be tripping over themselves to obtain the most details, after all its their own country! Even from a coldly practical standpoint, the various Kenyan papers and TV channels would want to get the "scoop" first.
the entry has been described several times. they drove up in vans/light trucks and ran into the building firing. they killed large numbers of people in the entrance and car park before moving inside

don't fret about the international media - they are busy promoting their own angles. after all, kenya is full of turd world kallus - they wouldn't have anything interesting to say anyway

There is speculation that one of the retail spaces in the mall was rented out by these faith-based terrorist sub-humans. It looks like they were working on this for a while now. That would explain how all those explosives/weapons were smuggled in, if the reports about explosives and booby-trapping with human shields are true... In any case quite a number have been detained apparently, so greater clarity can be expected in the days ahead.

From the single cctv image capture I've seen of the terrorists, shown on BBC, both look SDRE; not Somali. Could be thin Arabs. Let's wait and see.

This figure is way higher than anything I have seen. If true the body count seems to be higher than the official 26/11 count. Hope it is not true. The SOBs calling others cowards. May they fry in hell.

Mumbai terror attacks were much worse and probably worst with politicking all around it- center of terror pukistan throwing rabid dogs across, news anchors finding out where hostages are live on TV during crisis, terror cover of misinformation campaigns, death of police officers like Salaskar, etc etc

Can someone (really miss Shiv ji for his insight) decode the psyop value in the "widow" part in the "white widow" involved in this accident?

It is distracting from the central fact that "whites" (potentially mainstream) are now hand-in-hand with terrorist. Is it to prevent a major security complication that might arise if the narrative is any white should be as equally suspicious as an Arab/Muslim? TSA agents will be so happy as they can do cavity searches to all white females at the airport no holds bar.

^^ "white widow" probably comes from "black widow" that was used to describe Chechen burka-clad ninja chix with kendo stix who famously took a Moscow opera hostage; they were generally widows of all the haled chechen jihadis. Then black widow is also the name of a poisonous spider that eats the male after copulation.

Four-year-old Elliott Prior, who had been shopping with his mother and sister at the Westgate mall when it came under attack on Saturday, confronted one of the militants, telling him "you're a very bad man," his uncle told The Sun.Alex Coutts said the attacker took pity on the family and allowed them to escape, handing the children Mars bars as he told them: "Please forgive me, we are not monsters.
All the other victims too would have been left alive if only they could say "you're a very bad man" every time they came across a Humanitarian-Islamic-Militant (HIM).

Also, Shabaab had no problem claiming involvement for the Nairobi attack while the Pakis strongly denied their involvement with the Mumbai attack.

Shabaab is at least straightforward about things while the Pakis weren't - aren't.

Ramay ji, i have been telling the way to win this against the Islamists. Very few will turn around because one speaks the truth. If you tell them the Truth, there is CD, open fly torn shirt, or outright hiding behind the Burkha of secularists to shut those voices. What turns Islamists and some Muslims around is Shame. When the young boy man said 'You are a Bad man', he shamed the Jihadi. If he had told him the Truth about Islam, he would have killed him. Shaming is very essential in changing behaviour and habit. Almost all peer pressure in school is about shaming. Being cool is about that too. The bestest of the best learn from the Truth. These are the rarities, the Gems that change the world. But never underestimate the power of shame in changing mass thinking. We need to continue in that effort, like the little man demonstrated. We must internalize that. Yet at the same time, realize that the shaming must have factual basis and not some random provocative insult. There is a difference and it needs to be understood to be effective.

Harbans that terrorist was most likely light green and not green enough. So dont be fooled by the 'were are not monsters' line being put across.
So what if its true, the terrorist did not give up his gun and cry. He gave Mars bars(did he pay for them or were they laced with chemicals?) and probably shot more people.

Yes, and i am referring to weaning away the light green. They are the majority. Though i may not agree that that particular jihadi would be a LG. Irrespective, the majority are light green and they can be weaned away by shame.

Harbans ji,

If even lightest green can be shamed and truthed out of Islam, then by now there would have been no "silent-majority" in Islam.

Nairobi Attack Mastermind Studied in Pakistan , fought in Kashmir and Afghanistan :Report

The alleged Somali mastermind of the attack on a Kenyan mall connected with jihadists while studying in Pakistan and later fought in Afghanistan and Kashmir, according to a media report on Thursday.

Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr, known as Godane, earned a scholarship in the 1990s to study in Pakistan, where he "connected with jihadist circles", analysts were quoted as saying by Washington Post.

Godane then travelled to "Afghanistan to train and fight, as well as to Kashmir", the report said
.

The militant commander, thought to be in his mid-30s, returned to Somalia in 2002 and joined the Islamic Courts Union, an Islamist group that controlled large swaths in the southern part of the country.

He held senior positions until late 2006, when the transitional government drove the Islamists out. Hard-liners from the group then formed Al Shabab, which claimed responsibility for the attack on the Westgate mall in Nairobi that killed 67 people, including three Indian nationals.

The report described Godane as "a man of contradictions". He is "bookish, eloquent in both Arabic and Somali, recites poetry and is known to quote from obscure academic journals".

But he also ruthlessly killed most of his rivals to seize control of Al Shabab, the Somali militia linked to Al Qaeda.
.............
Current status
Officials say the death toll of 61 civilians, six members of the security forces and five militants is unlikely to rise much further, although some bodies of the attackers may be buried.
However, the Red Cross has said there were still 71 people listed as missing.{probably lying buried under rubble as sections of mall collapsed}
Several details of the attack remain uncertain: the final death toll, the identities of attackers, how many there were — officials indicate about a dozen — and how they staged such a sophisticated raid that lasted so long.
There is talk that quite a few attackers/enablers escaped disguised as civilians fleeing.
