Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
In Delhi, BJP seems to be falling short by 3 seats. Let's see if Kujliwaal becomes CM and created two to three layers of Lokayuktas.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
In Delhi, BJP has 11 wins and 21 leading. AAP has 8 wins and 21 leading. The former has been converting more leads into wins. I hope they can grab a few more of AAPs leading seats when all votes are counted, due to a late push from cadres on election day.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Amazing debut by AAP. Congratulations to AAP.
I don't think AAP will support or take outside support to/from BJP or Congress. That will be suicidal and they know that I am sure. Either BJP poaches Congress / AAP MLAs or re-election. I hope it is re-election in case it is hung assembly. No operation Kamala please.

In effect mafia just voted out and in 3rd place will rule Delhi through lt governor. When you elect idiot you will get this result.
Convention requires that Harshavardhan to be given a chance to form govt. But with 4 of the 9 mafia mlas being Muslim no jumpling possible.

At least 4-5 they are leading are AAP candidates. So BJP would want these Congress members to definitely win. It is likely that some of them could support AAP because of 'secularism'.
So Congress dissolves in Delhi, half of them join BJP and half of them join AAP?

That is why I agree when people say Kejri is a bit too extreme in his ideologies/principles/policies or whatever.nageshks wrote:Khujliwal says he is not worried who will be the next chief minister.

Did he contest the elections for fun then? This is the most irresponsible statement I have heard from a politician.
Schweinhund! It is our money that is paying for this elections, and here is the supposed leader not even caring about the outcome of the elections!"Our party doesn't worry about things like who will be chief minister. We worry about how to help the country," the 44-year-old said, a checked scarf wrapped tightly around him.

Khejri is a Looney fellow with megalomania. Just see how they say that they only representing people, honest etc and all the rest are corrupt. Wait and see how this all will unwind. Political arena is for one who is agile and smartest. Not loonies. Once they may win later?

BJP will lose onlee.

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Wouldn't it be good from the point of Lok Sabha elections that BJP allows an AAP government in Delhi with outside support from Congis? If AAP can't deliver on their promises and are made to look like just another political party, they will be wiped out for good. I understand that many people who voted for AAP will vote for NaMo in 2014. But isn't the best way to show the real face of AAP to the people is by giving them a chance?

Delhi deserves Naxalites. These hippie youngsters buying cool-aid of AAP will get poetic justice if there is a hung assembly & AAP goes with CON party (which eventually they will if not in this election).
I am more concerned with CHG results, there BJP should not loose to EJogi.

CG updates? NIC site is not updating, and ABPLive is showing 48-42 in favour of the BJP.

Why did Kejri choose Nai Dilli constituency and that too against Sheila I wonder. It just has some 35,000 votes polled in total.
Guess the psyops will now start - Kejri Maharaj "won" Nai Dilli (constituency)

Could not have been done because the AAP presence made Delhi a Tacticians poll. The Strategist would not have worked at all.nageshks wrote:If BJP had decided on Harshvardhan a month earlier, they would have easily won Delhi.Rahul M wrote:would be a retrograde step for India if this crypto-naxal party wins delhi.
AAP was going all through Delhi ranting against Vijay Goel. The Harshwardhan turn was to burn AAP investments and that did work.

IMHO bjp should not attempt forming a minority govt in Delhi...i should in fact provoke an AAP govt supported by CON party...I won't last long...and people will see AAP for what it is..a congi stooge with a bunch of hippies...there is definitely an anti-CON wave ...if aap an CON party ally to keep communal forces at bay than AAP voters will feel cheated...and it will have no hope ever of repeating this result any future elections anywhere in the country...
IMHO an important factor in Delhi was an internal sabotage in CON party...perhaps by the ex cm herself...war between her and Maken faction is well known..BJP should try an exploit this fact now and create more rifts within the CON party...
AAP can surely create nuisance in 2014 LS elections...it can split votes and create trouble for Modi...it must be handled intelligently for 2014..

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Part of the reason for AAP doing well is because both BJP and Congress kept pulling their punches. Congress would have lost anyways they should ideally made their move....unless they were the ones propping up AAP.
BJP should have begun the hard hitting a bit early. I was on a lot of news sites for about 3-4 days hitting away. But then the vote %ages predicted in opinion polls meant this was a tactics only battle with the Strategists getting sidelined fast. So yes AAP began doing well in a vacume esp. when they had somebody paying the MSM for them.
Anyhow for the LS elections it will be a different thing altogether. As the seats are AAP has only 3 choices:
1) deal with BJP - their voter scoots to BJP for good,
2) deal with Congress - kills them for good
3) seek re-elections - they go down from here but they survive.
For BJP the attack should be started straightaway now. Make it a big show that AAP uses the same content and same media as Congress and stands with them. 4 months is now good enough for the BJP Strategists to get into the act and help out the BJP tactician.

thx Lilo ji.
Krish, for all we know sheila aunty might have been sacrificed for the greater good (of cong). after all she did already have a longer run than anyone has a right to expect.

Times now of the Toilet stable is giving a graphic of how AAP took votes from all 7 MP seats of Delhi. This is a case being build up for the anti-Indic forces to unite and dump the Dynasty in favour of the new 'Religion of Innocence' with 'Prophet Kejriwal leading confessions and giving out remmissions'

Guys, do watch Burkha Dutt now.. a sight not to be missed. She is really sad but putting up a brave face by concentrating on AAP's rise in Delhi and how it could hurt BJP in future

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Agree with hakim gakakkad sa'ab .....bhajapa should not form the government in Delhi unless it (+SAD) get a clear majority......let Fordriwal form the govt with Congi help or let it be a re-poll
The worrying part is that the youth seem to have been immune to BJP appeal and logic and have failed to see past Fordriwal's anti-corruption hollowness and psec-ism.............BJP really needs to do something in Delhi specifically to increase its appeal amongst the youth..
But overall this is actually a good result........Congi attempt at splitting the anti-incumbency vote has backfired on them badly, as AAP seems to have cannibalized Con votes much more than they have harmed BJP's.......guess we will see the end of the AAP experiment next time around, which is why a repoll may actually be good for BJP.......

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
The big take away seems to be that the eyetalians are in serious trouble. Now, expecting revolts and desertions in kongi fort.
From AAP's point of view, they have done much better than expected. So, they may not want another election right now. They may not be against BJP running a minority govt which they can pull down after some time. BJP would be desperate to form the govt because they have not been in power for 15 years in dilli.
Another election is not preferable for BJP also because the AAP has got a lot of votes. Now, they can claim that they are a realistic choice and can get some more votes. So, it is now a fight between BJP and AAP.
So far, BJP and AAP have not attacked each other much. They will now go after each other much more. That means AAP's naxalite sympathies are going to be explored.
But, the kongis are finished...

Wasn't the late surge mostly an Indic cadre-driven one?
Then those last booths and last EVMs will be opened last for counting and we should (hopefully) see a surge in the numbers between now and poll closing time at 4 pm thereabouts.
And o yes, BJP will lose onlee...
