I hope you're right, but we only have polling as Muraliraviji has pointed out and we have to look at percentage of BJP vote share as a reference. The big difference will come in the nearly 100 million more voters than 2009 and those under 30 will vote mostly for the BJP. Modi has energized the young urban voter and it appears the rural young voter too.

Delhi is a fight between AAP & BJP. Substantial segment of silent voters ( lower & middle class segment ) going with AAP. Haryana is going INLD-BJP-HJC way . INLD might pull a surprise (4+) if INLD suppporters are to be believed. More clarity on 10th .
Won't discount rumors about SG's asking for protection . All her actions post RG's death dictated by need for family protection & removing if not all than minimizing all traces of corruption connecting family ( one reason defense deals suffered was presence of too many brokers ensuring no deals signed . Besides in 80s defense was the most lucrative way of making money almost invisibly & without too many people involved now not so ) . She thought that she was protecting the family lineage . Was pissed off with Priyanaka's choice but jija-sala get along very well so jija still showing 6 packs . Post RG's demise , the family advisors failed on spiritual front & the void was filled by christianity leading to flow of ngo funding . MMS had an understanding with her : complete protection = nourish the family's well wishers / corruption. MMS thought he could manage but failed .

All Modi has to do is brutally remove SPG security for everyone so that the family does not live in India. That itself will reduce congress by miles.

The Election Commission has pressed a team of engineers from Electronics
Corporation of India Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited for foolproof
re-checking of all EVMs after several were found to be malfunctioning. One EVM
in Jorhat left authorities flummoxed last week after every button which was
pressed registered a vote in favour of BJP. The machine has been replaced. Three more such EVMs were
found in Jorhat on Friday.

This time if EVM malfunction it will be againt congi. Seems like anti-congi wave has breached white color workers. For example ECIL engineers have made a small code fix and mapped all key press events to lotus counter update. Just came back watching Captain America where we get to see how the S.H.I.E.L.D ( home land security agency ) was infliltrated by anti-nationals from the NAZI era ( the boss is actually main terrorist ) and there was this techie who had a gun at his head being asked to to program the satellite to open fire and kill thousands and he refused and almost got shot at the back of his head but by then rest of the patriotic agents on the floor has started to engage the ant-national forces.

So the 2014 poll can be titled as "Captain India - The death of the dynasty"
Off course Captain India is none other than NAMO and the HYDRA is the dynasty.

I saw another great similarity between the HYDRA of Captain America movie and the Dynasty. Hard to kill the HYDRA. U chop of its head and another head grows. The basic principle of HYDRA is to manufacture so much of chaos in the society that people will be willing to give up their freedom for stability. I always wondered how come when polls arrive there used to be so much of bomb blasts in the past and the the congi manifesto will be that they will provide the stability and in return then will take your freedom ( economic, speech etc ). All these scams, lack of governance is basically promoting chaos. And they will be the agent of stability and give u free food etc and take your freedom. Amazing similarity between HYDRA and dynasty! Create wide spread chaos and be the stability provider and hence stay in control!

Exit poll data can be collected at any time, but can be disseminated, or published only after the last phase of polls. It is forbidden to publish exit poll data until the last phase of polls have been completed.

NE has historically had high turnouts, so not much can be read into turnout in phase 1 perhaps. But, somehow, higher turnouts will benefit lotus, that's my hunch. Certainly made a huge difference in both voteshare and seats in MP and Raj'n last november.

The hopes of the BJP to represent the Nilgiris Parliamentary Constituency in the Lok Sabha were shattered on Monday with the nomination papers of its candidate S. Gurumurthy being rejected after a scrutiny.

Stating that the papers were carefully gone through by the officials concerned in the presence of the party's representatives, the District Election Officer and Nilgiris Collector P. Sankar told The Hindu that it had been found that rules relating to the filing of nominations had not been adhered to.

Since Forms A and B pertaining to the authorization of the party to contest the elections had not been submitted along with the papers on April 3, the candidate had been asked to produce them before 3 p.m. on April 5,the last day of filing nominations. However they had been produced only at about 6.p.m. on that day. Hence the papers of Mr. Gurumurthy and the substitute BJP candidate D. Anbarasan had been rejected.
