Well that price could have been paid by BJP also who has much much larger war chest. So what stopped them from taking on TMC? May be at this time Bengal is not worth it for BJP, loss of 4 seats can be easily digested. Once they come to power, in next 5-10 years, they will make it happen in Bengal. I am hoping for that. I am hoping that they will turn the screw slowly but surely in the coming days for a better Bengal!

This thread is awesome for many reasons. Any one interested in psychology, should visit this forum.

BRF ( at least this thread ) is becoming an echo chamber. But there are differences.

The general mood can be gauged by the posts ( frequency, content and posters ). I have formed a picture in my mind of the nature, as in tendencies, of various posters.
1) Some of them are very conservative in life.
2) Some get easily discouraged.
3) Some jump to conclusions.
4) Some are stubborn.
5) Some are disingenious.
6) Some of them, quite often, pull a fast one and assume that they have fooled everyone.
7) Some of them genuine and passionate beliefs regardless of whether they are right or wrong.

Note: Some are a mix of all the above.
[/Semi OT]
Saar,
why don't you give an example(poster name) for each type that you have mentioned? :P
Saar, and earn the wrath of the bradmins? "Pappu lo kallu". :-)

has the anti BD violence in Assam been instigated deftly to cause a polarisation of mussalman votes in the adjcent area of WB, Bihar and East UP in the remaining two days?

and we have the court jester Omar abdullah blaming it on Namo "who went to assam and spread hate" lol.

This polarization is a myth a lie, a canard, a hoax being played. Even the Delhi HC has said deportation of illegal BDs is not a punishment. Telling them to pack their bags is just re-iterating what the HC judgement is. The biggest polarization that is occurring however is in the anti-Modi vote bank. That is what is hurting them. That is the real polarization. Even for Muslims if they want to invest in development and partake good governance, the best way to get out of the clutches of Islamists is to vote someone like Modi or a Togadia they will realize than a RaGa. Gogia or Sibal types.

WB was anyway not taken into consideration for NDA tally. But these (if won) 4-6 seats would have been of immense psychological value.

Krishnanagar is understood. Being a largely rural constituency and away from Kolkata. Can't say about serampore though. Has Bappi Lahiri complained? As in case of Hooghly Chandan Mitra has clearly done so.

Let's see how it goes for North Kolkata, Dum Dum and Barasat.

Workers grapple with low wages amid rising prices

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/busi ...
NEW DELHI: A decade of jobless growth, topped by the recent slump in manufacturing, has left India's work force dispirited and restive. The election campaign has generally not touched upon issues close to their hearts, especially wages. There has been much talk about price rise and jobs, but most workers, whether in the formal or informal sector, are not impressed.

"Kasme-vade, pyar-wafa, sab batein hain, baton ka kya!" says Magroo, who has worked in an auto-parts factory in North Delhi for over 25 years, quoting from a popular film song from the 1960s. "Promises, loyalty — all of it are empty talk."

Between 2005-06 and 2010-11, industrial worker wages increased by about 9%, according to the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) published by the labour ministry. That works out to a measly 1.5% per year. Annual inflation has been raging for the past few years at an average of 5-6%. So, real wages have fallen. Small wonder, that workers consider wages and inflation as key issues — one puts money in their pockets, the other takes it out.
Massive rigging reported from WB in 3rd phase specially where BJP had a chance. Instead of going to the EC they should go to the courts. A lot of it is on camera.

Regarding above concern, Dynasty's decision to appointing judge for snoopgate commisiion and subsequently Modi's decision to do rally in Amethi is good news. That is no deal between Modi and Chinese Gandhis. Listen to what he said in his interview to Krantikari channel. This is for you - please see if you can pass this information on the right people.

Just got a call from a very close family friend who is a landowner in village Pipri (google: 26.474305, 81.776028) in Amethi constituency. This is a "thakur-dominated" village (read: BJP support) with 6000-7000 voters. This village (and surrounding ones) are hard-hit by course changes of the Gomti river (loss of land, loss of road connectivity). Total government apathy, no action taken to stabilize the riverbanks in that area. Pappu is not interested.

According to my contact no BJP/RSS folks have showed up to listen to the villagers. Only Kumar Vishwas sent his father to campaign there. Even though anti-Pappu sentiment is high, at this point the entire village is planning to boycott the election altogether. It's late in the campaign but according to him it would still make a big difference to send some folks to the villages in this area and get people to vote. If more details/contact info needed, let me know.

Even a Village boy knows who stole the coal..I am only stressing the contribution of YSR even after death. All said and done, It was only after him (and Sonia ofcourse), EJ's developed so much arrogance...before that, it was chupke..chupke with a tinge of apology (it is said in bible onlee type of statements).

YSR's contribution to Indian corruption is phenominal and even Sonia got encouraged by that, about the potential loot from India.
