I think BJP has already started milking the emerging scenario to the fullest! Not surprising considering how he has turned every issue to his advantage.

If the EC backs down, lets say by night today, will Modi still be able to Milk the situation?

Last stand by Anti Indic forces:
Rahul has been given permission for all rallies in varnasi.
I think violence is ahead. Modi might be arrested in Varanasi as he will not have permission and SP goons will create violence to stop the elections

Adding Arrest or delay in election to the mix will only strengthen him so no worries on that front. BTW he would already be in the Lok sabha via Baroda. So nothing that is done here will hurt or stop him.

Who are these clowns who come up with brain dead schemes of not letting NaMo do this or that.
Varanasi is gone seat as far sickulars are concerned and by not allowing NaMo to conduct meetings, They are making sure that even the fence sitters drop on his side in the neighboring constituencies.
Yes obviously this whole charade is to get Muslim votes by showing, "My D**K bigger", but would that help them cross the line ? When everything gets polarized, The Muslim vote would split due to multiple contenders include AAP and be blown away while Hindu vote would goto Kamal only. So why this Kolavari Di by SP Govt.
Instead of trying not let NaMo make any news, they offer him news and bytes and material for next rally on the platter.
Sometimes I doubt that even 'Sickular' and Muslim pasand parties have their own version of D4 :)

In those days a difference of 7000 votes after re count only means he actually must have lost, bhadwas in the system must have then found an excuse to re-count (read actually randomly come up with a new figure with a +ve delta) to save pappu's daddy.

By not allowing a rally, they might force Modi to do a road show with massively grave security implications. Think twice and then again and then once more. No need now of taking any security risks. Road shows at this juncture are very very dangerous. The last one i saw was giving me jitters.

Ehh - no, saar. In 1989, when Rajiv Gandhi fought Rajmohan Gandhi, Rajiv got 2,71,407 votes, and Rajmohan Gandhi got 69,269 votes. Rajiv got 63% of the total votes polled.

That was a completely rigged election Sanjay singh was with Rajmohan Gandhi. Asli G Vs nakli G was the campaign statement. Sanjay Singh actually almost killed. He was shot by the goons of Satish Sharma. It took 6 months to recover.

Poor Rahulji. :((

Rahul greeted with 'har har Modi' slogan in Amethi, sees lotus symbol at polling booth
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is in Amethi to supervise polling and going from one polling station to another, encountering some tough breaks on the Congress turf.

During his visit to one polling booth in a school at Phoola village, Rahul noticed lotus drawn on a black board. Pointing toward the drawing, he said it was the BJP symbol and they had done it.

At a polling station some BJP workers raised the “har har Modi” slogan when he left the venue.

Amethi is one of the most keenly watched constituencies in this phase. The BJP’s Smirti Irani and AAP’s Kumar Vishwas have mounted a spirited challenge.

if the Ganga aarti in evening is anything like held in haridwar , it would be a made for TV spectacle and guarantee massive eyeball count on TV. probably ten MSM would fall into river leaning out of hired boats to get the best footage. its going to be a frenzy. the day he waved the lotus was surrounded by 300 pressmen like john lennon or elvis presley returned from the ether and walked down 5th avenue.

I would change that to "kya modi apne maa se milne nahin aa sakta ?"

Narendra Bhai Modi Should accept the ground with 2000 seats ONLY.

AND he should send 2000+ invitations to all MSM and others who are part of Delhi 1000-2000 Narendra bhai talks. and he SHOULD TALK TOUGH WHAT he can do to them :) He should talk like BJP Sarkar in power and whats the agenda.

Will Have magical effect... LIVE ON ALL TV :p ..... People have made up mind to vote ; it is MSM who needs time to run :p wink.

#NarendraModi sharpens attack on Congress over "neech rajneeti" http://zeenews.india.com/news/general-e ... 30420.html
"After the brutal incident in Delhi, the Congress had not spent a single paise from the Nirbhaya fund. Does this not mean "neech rajneeti?" he said.

"During the Commonwealth Games, money had been made from purchase of toilet papers. Does this not mean 'neech rajneeti'? Desh ka koyla kha gaya (the country's coal assets had been plundered). I ask, does this not mean 'neech rajneeti," Modi said.

Giving another example, he said "When the prices of vegetables were skyrocketing, the Supreme Court asked the government to distribute them among the poor. But the government did not do that. Instead, the vegetables were sold. Is this not "neech rajneeti"?

5forty3 has a end of the day post.

When I told people in this thread that HP is not rosy, people called me pessimist, now see what he says. I predicted long back, 1 seats for sure in HP for BJP, 1 to cong and 2 seats will be tough call.

Rest looks good. Well, he has posted only UP. Bihar and Andhra, details will come in a day or 2.

This is what 5forty3 says about HP
BJP -----2
Congus ----1
Tough call-- 1

Details from this hill state are still sketchy, but early numbers suggest that BJP is ahead in two seats and Congress is ahead in 1 seat while another seat is seeing a tough battle. We shall analyse the numbers more closely over the next two days to come up with a clearer projection.

UP per 543 is shaping good. xcept for 3rd round (7 seats), BJP has been ahead of its rivals by over 15%. It is a sweep. Bihar is proving to be tough, with BJP ahead (but within margin of error). My take is that, in Bihar also the sweep is tehre, the high voting % is because of this reason. But UP is unmistakable.

The good thing is that HP is only 4 seats. My guess was that BJP would bag 2 here. In nearby UK, I hope the BJP picks up all 5. Any word on J&K's 2 seats?
