This EC should really be sacked once BJP forms the govt. I didn't expect such open favouritism from them.

Varanasi police asked a dhaba selling rotis with a Narendra Modi mark to shut shop after complaints from certain groups, to which the Bharatiya Janata Party said that the ‘Modi stamp’ on the people’s hearts can’t be removed.

It may actually be good if WB gets polarized between TMC and BJP. Will bury the left.

But it is still a valid question, where did they find this lunatic. Bengal deserves presidents rule for 5 years and complete revamp of the voter lists rigged by left and tmc goons. Army rule mein kitne din yeh nautanki aur dharna kar payegi?Supratik wrote:Arjun wrote:^ Bengalis chucked out the Left and got a lunatic Talibani to govern them?! It was a desperate situation to get rid of the left. She is not stupid. She is trying to get as much Muslim votes as possible. She can do zilch to Modi if he becomes PM. It is mostly empty barking to get votes. The result is the left has disappeared from non-leftist TV channels and all they are talking about is the battle between Modi and Mamata.

....Modi's groundwork on local issues is challenging other regional leaders. The credit for effecting this welcome change goes to Narendra Modi who, during his country-wide campaigning that took off intensely after his anointment as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, spoke on issues relevant to places he has been to. It hasn't been a rosy journey for the man but yet he continued to steal the show at rallies that he addressed at remote corners of India, thanks to extensive researches on the ground reality.
....
If she could oppose Teesta water-sharing treaty with Bangladesh, why not infiltration from Bangladesh now?Banerjee made a major interference in the India-Bangladesh bilateral relation by opposing the Teesta water-sharing Treaty, citing the Interest of her state. But she is silent when illegal entry by Bangladeshis in hordes is posing a serious threat to the socio-economy of her state. Why? Was show of strength over a hapless UPA II government led by a weak prime minister her priority rather than actual work? If that is the case, then tackling Narendra Modi will be a different ball-game, Banerjee must remember.

Perhaps. But it also showcases the depths to which the IQ and public discourse of a region can sink - as the Muslim percentage of the population increases. Another reason why we need the Bangladeshi infiltrators out pronto.Supratik wrote: It was a desperate situation to get rid of the left. She is not stupid. Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
It has nothing to with IQ. The only non-left opposition till the 90s was the INC whose central leadership was seriously compromised. The last local Bengal Congress strongman who could stand-up to the central leadership was SS Ray. Mamata emerged as the focal point of the anti-left movement. For comparison think of Lech Walesa and his anti-Communist movement which brought down Communism in Poland. He was not very successful afterwards but Communism didn't return. Mamata may be a temporary phenomenon unless she delivers no matter how much she abuses Modi. With the left comatose the opposition space has opened up. It is upto the BJP to fill up the gap. Modi is trying to help BJP fill up the space in WB. I believe there is nothing to get upset about. Mamata talks like that. Some call her a troublesome "housemaid" ("jhee" in Bengali). Interesting times ahead in WB. I read somewhere SSC was also campaging in WB. So they are paying more attention.Arjun wrote: Perhaps. Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
What happened to EC suddenly after the Press Conference yesterday?
1) Appointed an observer for Varanasi to oversee the DM.
2) Notice sent to Raul for making an speech about 22,000 people will be killed if BJP comes to power.
3) Further inquiry and notice for presence of Raul in polling booth in Amethi.

I have not watched the full interview, but got lots of it in the re-runs. So nothing earth shattering, nothing negative (which is good).
Times Now and Arnab will crow loud and milk the interview for ever, but definitely - they will have re-runs this weekend and announce constantly about this interview. So more publicity for Modi onlee.

After the end of WWII, surrender of Japanese, and court martial of Azad Hind Fauz (AHF) which resulted in a huge public outcry, British was forced to let them (AHF soldiers) go. They begged and pleaded with Nehru to find them suitable jobs in the new Indian armed forces. Experienced commander like Zaman Kiyani (who was a Maj Gen in AHF) visited Nehru's office, and tears rolled down his cheeks as he begged for an ordinary soldier's job. But Nehru didn't budge. One of my uncle was there too in the AHF - a major,
doctor, in Gandhi Brigade, and saw Netaji S C Bose on numerous occasions when Netaji came to field hospitals to meet wounded soldiers. Anyway, since they were given step-motherly treatment, many of these AHF personnel decided to follow "self-help" model of Gandhi. 20 km from Benaras, there is a place called Gahamar, where AHF personnel set up their commune and mostly followed a barter system within the community. My said uncle was the commune doctor and treated patients almost for free for nearly
20 years, and then he returned to WB when his health gave up.... He passed away two decades ago.
... So, go to Gahamar, and you'll find many ex-AHF personnel (don't know how many are still alive).

Interesting thing is even the fundamental TINA-intellectuals also don't have any TINA but Modi, unless they want the nation to believe that
1 Rahul Ganhi is better than MMS (then the question why not do this before)
2 MMS will continue
3 MMS model worked and NN or other dyna-slave can continue this model
4 NiKu with his 3-4MPs is a better PM than options 1-4
5. JJ/Didi will be better PMs, if so what about media criticism against them all these years (especially about their dictatorial mode)
and so on...
