I am now seeing (mainly only face book) many comments - most of them rude & some of them about leaving country etc. Is any one collating such jibes against mody? Would be a good idea to collate all of them and make a good document out of it. At least we should admit NaMo overcame all such cheap tactics, hurled down at him by the so called "secular & democratic" parties and individuals. Some images I saw:-
1. About UR Ananthamoorthy - his farewell party organised at 10:00AM

2. Deve Gowda mentions about leaving country if Modi wins
3. MS Iyer reccomending Modi to start a tea shop in front of AICC office.

A 4-hour wait,and a 2-minute address

At 1230 hours on Friday, May 16, a colleague called me at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in New Delhi and asked me to rush to the Congress headquarters as party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was expected to address a press conference shortly.

Other journalists warned me to be there as early as possible as the Special Protection Group would not allow anyone in after the great man arrived.

We ran as if our tails were on fire and reached the venue at 1300 hours. At 1400 hours we were told that the much-anticipated press conference had been postponed to 1600 hours.

At 1600 hours, the SPG arrived and the journalists breathed a sigh of relief. The press conference was finally on. Some said Rahul was coming, others said Congress President Sonia Gandhi would address the media.

Then Mother and Son arrived. It was going to be a family press conference after all.

"I am the Congress vice-president and I accept full responsibility for this defeat" was all that Rahul said.

Sonia added two more lines. "I am the Congress president. I accept full responsibility for this defeat. I would like to congratulate the new government and we accept the people's verdict with all humility. Thank you."

Then, Ma-Beta, as the next prime minister referred to them in his election speeches, left.

At 5 pm, the media interaction was over.

This is their level of arrogance

This scumbag was not granted any interview with Namo. That is why he is pissed off. Even Arnab who was his junior in one of the earlier news channels managed to land an interview with Namo. This was the worst insult.

the AUDF under Badruddin Ajmal has captured the entire Western Assam (Dhubri and Barpeta seats)
and the extreme south near tripura - Karimganj
Silchar which used to be a steady BJP seat is also lost to the Congress. no doubt with whose help.

Barpeta constituency is one of the 'core' areas of assamese ppl and culture just like a lot of kannadigas trace back to old mysore and coastal districts. both my fathers and mothers side are from that area and barpeta is also one of centers of Sankerdeviya dharma. the rural and riverine areas have been subject to massive BD influx for decades now and looks like things reached the tipping point where they are majority now.
