Baffle type muzzle brake is Soviet origin weapon. "Pepperpot" type is Eastern European - Yugoslav?
Question to Rohit Vats and other Gurus - can the Army move in only the required no. of Arty pieces into battle or does the full unit have to move into combat as an Arty Battery / Fire Squad, etc? I remember Siachen, 6 Guns were inducted together (1 battery).

Me thinks, this Jaguar is a new Jaguar and not one being upgraded... the primer, new wheels, landing gear as well as the open sections are ALL Spic and Span... But I haven't seen any open source info on HAL building new Jags in years... even news about the upgrade (DARIN III) with Honeywell engines has been only bad news.. any chailwala info?
I remember reading somewhere that HAL is only making two seater Jaguars as of now. So this must be some overhauling.
will they not be taken down easily in a fidayeen type attack with hardly any protection? They seem more like female version of SPG who wears no armor to show solidarity with the leader they are protecting
Jaguar build ended quite some time back and the line was converted to Hawk assembly, on completion of which the line is proposed to be modified for Rafale assembly/build.

Well Jag production ended in 2008...
these are all maintenance pics... This article has all the details
They do..? I am referring to the safari suite clad ones.. not the recent ones with Tavors and body armor.
Even the ones in "Civvies" wear body armour. You cant protect your Principal if you are dead. Specially if a High Velocity round has the ability go through you.
Mil Photos forum i think...was an excellent pic, saw that no one had posted so shared it... Glad you like it.. As you can see the gear has improved a lot...
My bad, I meant Jungle boots, was not referring to the camo. They have been wearing these shoes for a long time.
These boots do not have a metal sheet in it to prevent a long Thorn from protruding thru the rubber sole. You must admit the shoes are different in the photo you posted.

I actually love jets who are worn out-- beaten down--- goes to show the workload they carry--- has a kind of its own appeal compared to nice primed immaculate ones...
