Deja vu ,again and again and again....ad infinitum!

The same voices of warnings and threats to "teach Pak a lesson" will come from this govt too. I say it not with any criticism of the new dispensation, but that is what we will hear in the House tomorrow. In truth,India has FAILED to design a suitable response to Pak's perfidy in its protracted proxy war of terror against us. Every time our leaders shake hands, the ISI/Paki military swings into action and in truth, the Paki leadership well know that all the bonhomie and "breakthroughs" are nothing but bullsh*t! The stark truth is that nothing is going to change the attitude of Pak.,EVER.

So what do we do? I've said many a time that we should roll up our diplomatic efforts with Pak,treat it like a "contagious disease",like Ebola or MERS. Qurantine it totally.Ban inter-state relations across the board, cut sporting and cultural ties, and allow visits by Pakis and from our side to Pak only on humanitarian grounds. Let the "talking " be done by the Indian armed forces.Whenever there is a terror strike, let the IA take out targets of opportunity anywhere along the LOC/intl. border. If 1 Indian is killed, take out 10 Pakis. But do our babus have the balls for this?

There is a huge industry both in India and Pak that thrives upon "p*ss in our time" and "p*ssmaking".
We've had a former RAW chief show how the Kashmiris are recipients of crores upon crores for being absolute scumbags with little loyalty towards the country.Like parasites squeezing the GOI for more and more moolah. This asinine policy has to stop.No more mollycoddling and mollycuddling the pro-Paki "p*ssmakers". Let's stop wasting our taxpayer's money on such a futile venture .It is as good as expecting the sun to rise in the west if we only accommodate Pak a little bit more and compromise upon Kashmir!

For starters, let Mr.Modi announc ethat he is cancelling his planned visit to Pak.Like ABV's historic bus trip,he will also be betrayed by the Pakis and made to look a fool. The Pakis are trying just that, with the connivance of the Chinese sh*tworms. Mr.Modi's credibility must be destroyed. He has built up a huge international reputation in a very short span of time. Nations now look at India with respect and admiration in their eyes. Being made a fool of by Pak will diminish his and India's stature. The time is long past to have called the Paki bluff.Let the guns do the talking.

That's first started by the Pseudo secular Indian Media. Every terror network in India is the creation of Pakistan. Still the Pseudos and their western masters act as if these terrorists come from some unknown place.

I understand that we cannot go for a hard response as a simple knee jerk response but surely we can impose togh economic penalties on pakistan easily. for starters i propose these five basic points!

1)Removal of MFN status for Pakistan and closure of all border crossings.

2)Removal of landing/ overflying rights to all international carriers whose aircraft have landed in Pakistan prior to overflying India.

3)Removal/Denial of support and docking rights to all merchant and military vessels coming from a Pakistani Port.

4)Double taxation of all firms engaged in business in both India and Pakistan, while simultaneously halving Taxation for firms exclusively engaged in business with India. This shall also apply to international MNC's such as Coca Cola and Mc Donalds.

5)Declaring the Pakistani ambassador persona non grata and removing all Delhi police and paramilitary personnel deployed for his protection wile simultaneously withdrawing our own diplomats from Pakistan(they're better use if deployed in Afghanistan anyways).

This should halve the Size of the Pakistani economy in a matter of months.

Also an attack before secretary level talks is no coincidence. Its a show of force, and a lot will depend on GOIs response.

Lol. West decides what's irritating and what's big enough for mil response.

Also who is telling that we cannot start a military response? I will say we are only tying our hands and telling we cannot. We can do a lot more than any Pakistanis can think of. Taking out all the terror camps with massive bombardment itself can be a good enough response. The fear amoung the elites is that the Paki army will respond. They will. When they do they deserve even more punishment. Literally obliterate the Paki military.

He also went half Paki when he said ""We want peace with Pakistan, but not at the cost of national honour." Wonlee the word *dignity* was missing but this is just a nitpick for the moment. Will watch the GOI response leading up to NSA's meeting and during the meeting.

Punjab police forces have better fire power than most state police forces , as first responder they did extremely well to corner those pigs aka terrorists and neutralize them all. Army helped in cordoning off the area.

A better armed and trained police force as displayed by Punjab police is a must for all state police forces . Just compare the overwhelming fire power Punjab police have directed on those pigs compared to 303 enfield toting Mumbai police.

The DG Police was himself present in the Police station throughout the op, the SP (who was martyered) was leading the op and directly firing at the goons

it appears that the Punjab police insisted on finishing the fight even after the Army SF had arrived. The Punjab Police teams seem to have lacked helmets, BP jackets. About the only thing they seem to have had apart from arms were their guts.
and
None of the three terrorists killed in Gurdaspur was a Sikh: government sources
http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/terroris ... eststories
Gurdaspur Cops Fought Terror Without Bullet-Proof Vests, Helmets
Gurdaspur: For nearly 11 hours, it required every available pair of hands to counter the group of terrorists who had forced their way into a police station, turning it into their shelter.

Among those who died in Gurdaspur today was senior police officer Baljeet Singh, who headed the detective branch of the local force.
As the gunshots rang out with chilling frequency, it was clear the terrorists were armed to the teeth. At about 5.30 pm, Punjab police officers at the Dinanagar station chanted victory slogans as the operation was declared over and a success - the terrorists had ben killed.
Police Officer Baljeet Singh's Father Too Died in a Terror Attack
Till then, what had been reported was that the terrorists had fired at a bus packed with passengers, car-jacked a Maruti 800 turning it into their ride to the police station, and that seven people had been killed by then.
With the operation over, the details of what the police had confronted could be revealed.
The attackers had AK-47s; the policemen fought back with dated SLRs - Self-Loading Rifles.
No bulletproof vests for members of the Punjab Police SWAT or Special Weapons and Tactics - they had kneepads but no helmets. The footage shows policemen with clearly no tactical training lobbing grenades at the police station, then turning around and running for cover. One massively overweight policeman tried to rush away, his rifle dangling in his hand. Curious onlookers surround the police post, alarmingly close to the scene of immense danger.
Earlier in the day, mbers of the Special Forces of the Indian Army - some of the most skilled, hardened and well-equipped soldiers in India were deployed to Dinanangar, but the Punjab Police reportedly made it clear they would lead the operations.India's best-trained troops were asked to restrict their role to cordoning off the area, a task usually assigned to the police.

The fact that the terrorists were eventually all shot dead meant that the operation could be declared a success; but it exposed, once again, the incredible vulnerability resulted by inadequate training and equipment for those who put their lives at risk.

It shows the high moral of Punjab Police. They took responsibility and finished pigs. This is biggest assurance that we are not going to see the horrors of 90s. Best thing came out of all this was the vigilance of Indian Railway karamcharis who spotted the IED planted on tracks.

Well the Punjab police recruits a lot of retired Army jawans, this police force along with J&K police are equipped like the Army was back in the 80s and the 90s.
There is a special love for Pakistan and all things Pakistan in Punjab. I suppose the terrorists are lucky they're dead, god help any pakistani terrorist who gets in the hands of the Punjab Police.

So the security forces cornered them into this abandoned building, made then run low on ammo, ultimately a hand grenade did them in.
Those pigs must have been on nerve-wracking, sleep deprived alert for the last 10-12 hours of their lives, under incessant firepower, dodging bullets and grenades.

What is BRF's response other than some hand wringing?

I think it is high time to start a thread to discuss breaking up of bakistan into multiple pieces while the baki army is operating under a nuclear umbrella.

The fact is that bakistan operates under Allah, Army & America. Any fight with baki army has to take into consideration the other two.

With I K Gujral winding away the counter ops (note that it was wound up after Yakub's arrest)., India's shadow ops maneuvering in bakistan has been severely curtailed.

So given those - what are the short, medium and long term options?

I think now, India should be openly saying that the Pakistani terrorist group, under the directions of the ISI carried out this attack.
We should be saying to the media that we are in the process of identifying how high in the chain of the Pakistani military command this operation was sanctioned from, then bring the heat on those people.

For example if the Indian government asks Interpol and the UN to indite Brigadier X or Maj Gen Y for this attack, this will give the pakistani fauj pause for thought.

Further, India should say that the Pakistani military is sponsoring terrorism in India, Afghanistan, Iran, and is ignoring terrorism by its terrorists against China.
This needs to be stated openly by the top leadership at all fora.
Other nations and media like the Bhonsdi Bakwaas Corporation should not be given room to fudge words, and call terrorists by any other name.

Something different from the usual?

No hand-wringing, for one thing. Only positive suggestions, no rona-dhona. No politics.

Punjab police did not complain that they had no bullet-proof vests or had less capable weapons. At least honor that by not complaining.

There can't be just defensive action to this now.
Pakistan has amply demonstrated that if it is allowed to exist as an entity these terror attacks will never cease. Pakistan is perpetually condemned to be poor and uneducated, and so the supply of terrorists for their army to use will never end.

What has to happen with double speed is the end of Pakistan itself.

News reports keep saying 4 terrorists.
http://www.ibnlive.com/news/india/gurda ... 26434.html
Dinanagar (Punjab): The alertness and bravery of a bus driver saved several lives as terrorists launched an attack in Punjab on Monday.

Punjab Roadways driver Nanak Chand did not panic even when the terrorists fired at the bus and instead scared the terrorists by driving towards them.

As the terrorists, numbering four, moved back, the driver swerved the bus and drove it away.

Since shots were fired at the bus, Nanak Chand drove it straight to a government hospital to get the injured passengers treated. He also called up the police to inform about the incident.

"There were 75 passengers in the bus. I thought that it was important to save their lives. I did not stop the bus," Nanak Chand said.

The incident took place around 5:30 AM on Monday.
A major tragedy was averted nearby as alert villagers near Parmanand railway station spotted five bombs wired to a small bridge on the Amritsar-Pathankot railway section.

The bombs were detected minutes before a passenger train was to cross the bridge. The train was stopped 200 metres from the bombs.

At a time like this tempers run high, and sound judgement takes a hike.

We should mourn our brave police officers & jawans, and take a resolute stand on what we as a nation is willing to do and sacrifice in order to stop such acts. Their sacrifice should not go in vain.

As a think tank (BRF) should brain storm on -

1. Why this event occurred, and precursors that could have indicated such attack (like a speech, or attack in porkiland).
2. Discuss possible action and counter actions.

Point 1 will take a fair amount of OSINT activity. Point 2 is up-to SMEs.

Can someone who knows how to, count the tweets with words "Khalistan" and "Bhindranwale"? If it is possible count the tweets by region? In retrospect, I expect to see a spike beginning in late June; and the spike (not the background chatter) is concentrated from Pakistan.

Well well, the Akalis are in power in Punjab.
They are supposed to be allies of the NDA.
The previous congress government twiddled their thumbs or worse, when Punjab was targeted with a massive inflow of drugs from Pakistan.

A terrorist incident happening in Punjab should not be taken lightly. Even if these people were headed for J&K as some have suggested, it seems that they infiltrated along some river bed in the dark. Recently we had a group of sikhs waving Pakistani flags in the J&K valley.
So need to keep an eye on this.
