^ Is DAWN saying that ZAB == Afzal Guru & Maqbool Bhat? If it says so, who are we to contest that? They should know better than us about their own President, CMLA all combined into one, shouldn't they?

SSJi, I saw that interview that the senile fart gave to his friend Thappad (despite his senility, he has a razor sharp ISI trained mind). Anybody with an ounce of TFP 101 knows that what he meant by the above was that once "core issue" is resolved, meaning India hands over the valley to TSP on a silver platter, LET/Jaish will be tacked through "non military means". And this crap gets reported by our DDM with no context. Furthermore, when Thappad pressed him on what he thinks of Hafeez pig, he said, he doesn't know much about about Hafeez pig :-).

Its the same old crap we are seeing from TSP. Ajit Doval and Modiji have made difference to the India TSP equation except for some window dressing (not blaming them, its just the reality of the situation in military terms. But I don't understand why the rush to talk to TSP). The only thing correct about the above report is that TSP is pushing as hard as ever to get Kashmir using pigLeTs on the one hand, and "reasonableness" on the other, as the latest attack in Pampore shows.

UK: A six-year-old Muslim girl with learning difficulties made to marry pedophile in Pakistan
A six-year-old girl with learning difficulties was removed from school and taken to marry an older man in Pakistan, an investigation has found.
The unnamed child, who subsequently returned to school in the UK, is among dozens of young girls and boys still being forced into marriage despite the introduction of legislation and specific task forces.
Legal action should be initiated against parents, guardians etc

Ancient Hindu temple in Peshawar Being "Secretly Demolished " Says Locals
PESHAWAR: An ancient Hindu temple in this northwestern Pakistani city is being demolished secretly in the name of repair with a commercial plaza set to come up on its land.
The ancient Hindu temple located in Karimpura in Peshawar's old city is being demolished in the name of repairs, several inhabitants of the area said.
They said the process started some 10 days and is going on without any hindrance.
"It is a pity that a criminal act of pulling down a heritage structure has been launched. The building is being knocked down clandestinely to erect a commercial plaza on the site," a resident said.
"There is no action from any of the government departments which are supposed to protect such buildings," the resident said.
Another resident said it was a double-criminal act.
"On the one hand an ancient building is being demolished while on the other a commercial plaza is set to be constructed on its land in a purely residential area," he told The News.
They deplored the inaction of government authorities in the wake of the the demolition of the heritage building.
There is no action by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Auqaf Department dealing with the non-Muslim properties and the Archaeology Department — the departments tasked with protecting such properties.
Where is Immy, Ganja Sharif and all the other politicians who send greetings to Hindus on Holi, Diwali and other festive occasions !

No access for Pak. SIT: Parrikar - Josy Joseph, The Hindu
India should not allow Pakistan’s Special Investigation Team into the Pathankot airbase, said serving and retired military officers, even as reports claimed that India could give the team access to the forward airbase.

All the officers whom The Hindu spoke to said it was symbolically bad and tactically could end up being a blunder.

A section in the Indian establishment and several Pakistani media reports have been saying that the six-member Pakistani team will visit India in March and may be given access to the airbase.

However, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said, “No one can enter them [defence installations] without the permission of the Defence Ministry,” hinting clearly about who should have the final call about permitting the Pakistani team. “The incident has happened here and we will investigate what has happened here. What we are asking them to investigate is the role of their people in their country,” Mr. Parrikar said.

Mr. Parrikar’s comments were in line with the thinking in the military circles.

“What do you gain by letting them enter the base?” asked a senior Air Force officer. “It is a forward airbase specifically meant for Pakistan operations, and what is the guarantee that after the visit they wouldn’t claim there is no evidence in Pathankot that terrorists from Pakistan were behind it.”

“It is a stupid idea,” said a just retired Air Marshal. “What would a Pakistani team find in Pathankot that our investigators have not figured out. They should have faith in our investigation agencies, and accept what we have to offer. In that sense, permitting them into Pathankot is a vote of no confidence on Indian agencies.”

Opposing the move, former Navy Chief Admiral Sushil Kumar said, “When you allow a person who is inimical to your interest you are setting a wrong precedent.” “It could all be farcical, their double-crossing instincts are well known,” he said, charging that the latest flare-up in violence in Kashmir was a sign that the Pakistan deep state was at work against India.

Admiral Kumar said the main problem is that we still do not know who is calling the shots in Pakistan.

“You may think you are dealing with a harmless government, but it may not be because it could be a mere puppet,” he said.

New Delhi seems to be happy about the progress made in Pakistan over the Pathankot attack investigation.

Sartaj Aziz, adviser to Pakistan Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, said in an interview that the SIT would need access to some parts of Pathankot airbase as part of their investigation. He also claimed that Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Masood Azhar had been under police custody since January 14, information that Indian officials were not confirming.
Now, it has to be found out if that 'allow access' was a line pursued by The Hindu (because the earlier report was by another correspondent, Kallol Bhattacharjee, and this one is by Josy Joseph) to propagate falsehood (in collusion with the Pakistani media which we know was the first to start this) and bring some pressure on GoI or there has been some talk of allowing access to PAFB by 'certain sections of the establishment' after all as claimed in this report. In either case, it calls for some 'fixing'.

Duplicitous, a gentler way to describe ISI: ex-CIA Chief - PTI
Voicing his frustration over the double game played by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the war against terror after 9/11, a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Chief has said that “duplicitous” is a gentler way to describe the notorious Pakistani spy agency, which has close links with terror groups.

In his latest book Playing to the Edge, Michael Hayden, the former CIA Director used the word “duplicitous” for the ISI and its then head Ahmed Shuja Pasha when he was asked by The Time magazine to draft a short write-up on the ISI chiefs. The Time magazine in 2011 named Mr. Pasha as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.

“I agreed and then called current and former U.S. government officials to get some advice on what to say, particularly something to say that might help the overall relationship,” Mr. Hayden wrote.

Ditto with Shuja Pasha

“I asked for specific words to describe Mr. Pasha and ISI. One of the gentler ones suggested to me was ‘duplicitous,’” the former CIA chief said adding that this wasn’t particularly useful.

“So I just observed that “changes in Pakistan — the growth of fundamentalism, nationalism and anti-Americanism have squeezed the space in which any ISI chief can cooperate with the U.S.,” he wrote.

“Pasha, a Pakistani patriot and American partner, now must find these two roles even more difficult to reconcile and at a time when much of U.S. counterterrorism success depends on exactly that,” Mr. Hayden wrote in the book that hit the stores on Tuesday.

“Osama killing helped tear the veil”

Mr. Hayden who was also Director of National Security Agency wrote that some uninformed observers have opined that the Abbottabad raid in May 2011 to kill bin Al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden poisoned the relationship between the U.S. and Pakistan.

“It didn’t. It merely tore the veil off,” he wrote.

The famous statement of the then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, that Haqqani network was a “veritable arm” of the ISI was an expression of his frustration.

Bush vexed with Musharraf?

Reflecting on the increasing frustration in the previous Bush administration, Mr. Hayden has said he remembers an incident during one of the daily presidential briefing on Pakistan, George W. Bush just yelled to the outer office, “Get me Musharraf!”

Years after he left government, Mr. Hayden said as he reviewed his Thursday morning briefing scripts for the President and was struck by how much they focused on terrorism, and within terrorism how much they were about South Asia — Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Focussed on Osama hunt

“And during the last six months of the administration, I was struck that we covered the hunt for HVT-1 [High Value Target-1, i.e., bin Laden] and HVT-2 [Ayman al-Zawahiri] in practically every session. We were certainly focused,” he wrote.

Pakistan, he said, was one area where all the dilemmas of the war on terror seemed to play out in their most extreme form. CIA had actually good success working with Pakistan’s ISI, sweeping up al-Qaeda in the settled regions of that country.

Mr. Hayden said professional-level CIA exchanges with Pakistan’s ISI were usually dispassionate and factual. Mid-level ISI officers seemed to get it in terms of what the U.S. was doing and why, he said.

ISI squeezed CIA’s manpower

“But ISI often acted like a plural noun and there were occasional issues, like their trying to squeeze the manpower that CIA could get into the country,” he added.

The U.S. was clearly getting some very good intelligence there, a reality that must have made the ISI incredibly uncomfortable, he said.

Ultimately, visa requests denied

“They may or may not have had a clear window into how we were developing intelligence, but they correctly judged that it would be harder to do if we had fewer people in the area. So the ISI began to quibble, question, delay, and ultimately deny visa requests for multiple officers we were trying to dispatch,” Mr. Hayden wrote {And that led to the infamous Amb. Haqqani episode}.

NAB asked to investigate Kayani’s involvement in DHA Valley scam
ISLAMABAD: This may be the first time since his retirement that the name of former chief of army staff (COAS) retired Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has surfaced in connection with a massive land scam. The writer is incorrect on this, as there have always been unsubstantiated "corruption" rumours about this chain-smoking extreme anti-India general !
A former official from the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), retired Lt Col Tariq Kamal, on February 22 asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate whether Gen Kayani was involved in “irregularities/misappropriation” related to DHA Valley contracts or whether “his name was used by the decision makers just to benefit Bahria Town”.
However, Mr Kamal’s application may not be of any consequence, since NAB cannot take up matters related to armed forces personnel who are not working in the civil administration.
The DHA Valley scam is one of 50 mega land scam cases NAB has listed before the Supreme Court. NAB is investigating alleged “embezzlement in sale, development and purchase of land”. According to the NAB report submitted to the apex court, the inquiry was authorised on Jul 3, 2010, and was scheduled to be completed on Oct 15, 2015. The bureau has estimated that the scam involves 1,310,000 kanals of land.
Mr Kayani was appointed COAS in December 2007. According to the application, the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Bahria Town signed a joint venture (JV) contract for DHA Valley in 2008.
It states that: “Bahria Town was to purchase 40,000 kanals of land near Phase II extension, a project planned and marketed by DHA Islamabad in 2005. Malik Riaz CEO Bahria Town, finding it difficult to purchase the agreed land verbally requested to then-Maj-Gen Asif Ali vice president DHA for permission to develop DHA valley project in DHA’s land… permission was granted in a meeting held on February 25, 2009… about 30,000 kanal (DHA) land was transferred to Bahria Town without approval of competent authority causing benefits of billions of rupees to Bahria Town.”
If earlier press reports are to be believed, there was some sort of a "cozy arrangement" between Kayani, his brother-who "used" his family connection to get what he wanted and the property tycoon, Malik Riaz; even Dus-Percenti probably got his "cut" on this scam !
When contacted, NAB Rawalpindi Director General Zahir Shah said the bureau cannot initiate inquiries against army officials.
Polite way of saying that "army corruption" cannot be investigated!
He said NAB has received several applications against former president Gen Pervez Musharraf, but did not initiate action against him because serving and retired army officers must be dealt with under the Pakistan Army Act 1952 if they are accused of financial embezzlement.
Similarly, when the National Logistics Cell scam surfaced in 2009, NAB was asked to investigate the matter but was held back from taking action against the three accused generals by military authorities.
The case was investigated by the army itself, and in August 2015 retired Maj Gen Khalid Zahir was dismissed from service...
while retired Lt Gen Khalid Munir Khan was not found to be involved in any financial irregularities or serious misconduct and was absolved of all charges.
All depends on how much high level "sifarish" you can round up
When asked to comment on Monday, a military official had asked for the query to be submitted in writing, which was then communicated through email. On Tuesday, when contacted again, the official declined comment.
Like so many earlier "investigations", in Pakiland this one too will die a natural death

India gives new list of terrorists from Pakistan-based groups to UN - Economic Times
India has submitted to the UN's Sanction Committee a fresh list of 11 terrorists from Pakistan -based terror groups affiliated to Al-Qaeda, Taliban and other outfits responsible for terrorism in the country.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj while replying to a query in Lok Sabha said government was making continued efforts to have terror groups and individuals targeting India designated by United Nations Sanction Committees.

"On February 18, 2016, a fresh submission of 11 individuals and one organisation linked to terrorism in India, has been submitted to the 1267/1989/2253 ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee," the minister added.

Sources said the fresh submission includes names of terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based terror outfits affiliated to Al-Qaeda, Taliban and ISIS. However, they did not divulge their names.
Let us see how China disposes off this list this time. With no improvement in Indo-China relationship, need for safe access to Afghanistan through Pakistan and the CPEC taking off in Pakistan, China's game plan can't be a surprise.

How Pakistan Origin Huma Abedin Went from Intern to Top Adviser Of Hilary Clinton
In Part One of this series, we looked at the people and events behind the history-making first White House Ramadan dinner, held in 1996 and hosted by Hillary Clinton — an event that revealed the shocking ignorance both Bill and Hillary Clinton had about Islam, especially in the light of events such as 1993’s attack on the World Trade Center.
As we detailed in Part One, that “Eid Dinner” event was put together by an organization called the American Muslim Council that was founded and headed by a man named Abdurahman Alamoudi.
Alamoudi, who is now serving a federal prison term for funding terrorism, was a political mover and shaker with ties to not just the Clinton White House, but later to the George W. Bush White House via Republican lobbyist Grover Norquist.
In 1996, Alamoudi was a key Muslim influencer with the Clinton administration. Aside from the Eid dinner, an organization Alamoudi ran was vetting Islamic Army chaplains for the U.S. military
.
Another historically significant thing happened in 1996: A 20-year-old George Washington University student named Huma Abedin landed an almost impossible-to-get White House internship.
At that first Eid dinner, Hillary Clinton admitted to knowing almost nothing about Islam, telling the audience that she and President Bill Clinton learned most of what they knew about Islam from their daughter Chelsea, who had taken a sophomore high school class on the Middle East.
In the years to come, Hillary Clinton would go on to acknowledge another source of her understanding of Islam: Huma Abedin.

Huma is now Hillary Clinton’s closest aide and the vice-chairwoman of her presidential campaign, but as Breitbart News has shown, efforts to vet or ask basic questions about Abedin have been shut down by the mainstream media.
With Hillary Clinton still the odds-on favorite to win the Democrat nomination for president and with Huma Abedin at the center of Hillary Clinton’s private email server scandal, Breitbart News is doing what the MSM refuses to do — provide as much detail on the secretive Huma Abedin, who is the closest aide to one of the most powerful women in the world.
Huma Abedin and the Muslim Students Association
There are no details available about the process that led to Huma Abedin becoming a White House intern assigned to Hillary Clinton in 1996, nor are there any details about how Abedin was vetted for the job.
What we do know is that, in 1996, Huma Abedin was the assistant editor of a publication called the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs and that Huma was on the executive board of a group called the Muslim Students Association at George Washington University.
Breitbart News has extensively documented the history of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, its relationship to groups that funded terrorism, and the media’s coverup of Huma Abedin’s connection to it, but a short recap is in order.
Huma Abedin would spend the next 16 years growing up in Saudi Arabia. When Huma Abedin was sent to the United States for college, she became part of the MSA. A page from the group’s 1996 website at Archive.org lists her on the Executive Board as the Head of Social Committee.

It’s not surprising that Huma Abedin was part of the Muslim Students Association, but it should raise eyebrows, and it’s a valid subject for questions since the MSA has been breeding ground for known terrorists. As the Canary Mission website summarizes:

Anwar al-Awlaki was president of the MSA at Colorado State University during the mid-1990s. An al-Qaeda cleric linked to numerous terror plots including 9/11 and the Fort Hood shootings, al-Awlaki was the first United States citizen to be targeted and killed in a United States drone strike. After his death, he was linked to the terrorists responsible for the Charlie Hebdo massacre, to whom al-Awlaki had repeatedly preached, calling for the killing of newspapers editor, Stéphane Charbonnier. Omar Shafik Hammami was president of MSA’s chapter at the University of South Alabama during the early 2000’s. In 2006, Hammami abandoned his young wife and child and left for Somalia where he became a militant leader in the terrorist organization al-Shabaab. Ramy Zamzam was a past president of the MSA’s Washington, D.C. council, before his conviction in in 2010 for attempting to lead a group dubbed the “D.C. 5” to join the Taliban in Pakistan.
There’s another important connection to the Muslim Students Association — remember that, in 1996, Abdurahman Alamoudi was wielding his influence at the Clinton White House.
Alamoudi was also the president of the Muslim Students Association’s National group in the 1980s
.
Huma’s Early Influence

However she ended up in the White House, it’s clear from a search of records from the Clinton White House that Abedin quickly became a go-to resource on Islam for the future Secretary of State.

At the 1999 Ramadan dinner, Hillary said:
There are many people who have made today happen, but special thanks are due to Maureen Shea, Mona Mohib and Huma Abedin for putting together this event.
Maureen Shea was associate director of the office of Public Liaison at the White House.
Hillary Clinton goes on to to cite one example of Huma Abedin’s influence:
I must say that I have seen very personally the impact of Ramadan because of having Huma on my staff, and have had many occasions to talk with her about the particular meaning of Ramadan.
Later in that 1999 speech, Hillary Clinton would go on to say how she believed that the “values that are embodied in Islam” including the yearning “to live in peace,” “strengthen the United States”:
Today, we celebrate Eid with special foods and exchanging of gifts, and by honoring the remarkable contributions of Islam that have enabled millions and millions of Muslims around the world to endure and thrive through the ages and enrich us all…
We also honor the universal values that are embodied in Islam — love of family and community; mutual respect; the power of education; and the deepest yearning of all: to live in peace. Values that can bring people of every faith and culture together, strengthen us as people, and, I would argue, strengthen the United States as a nation.
Other documents from the Clinton era show how quickly Huma Abedin went from being a White House intern to becoming an important consultant on all things Islamic, including presidential speeches.
According to an email sent by Maureen Shea in 1999, Huma Abedin was one of White House’s “resident Muslims” and gave notes on a speech by President Bill Clinton.Among the notes are pronunciation suggestions on the word “Muslim” as well as a note to take out a reference to Iraq as “too political.”
Hope this is helpful – I have consulted with Huma and Mona, our two resident Muslims!
First of all, can you get the President to pronounce Muslims not as Moslims but as Musslims!

Paragraph one:
As not all Arabs are Muslims, take out Arab and simply say; “On behalf of all Americans, Hillary and I would like to send our best wishes to Muslims both here and around the world as
If he could say “Eid Mubarak !EED-moo-bar-akl at the end which means “blessed Eid,” that
would be great.
Paragraph two :
• end with “and by the fasting which is one of its five pillars.”
Paragraph three: too political: Keep first line and take out the rest – the part on Iraq is especially out of place in a religious message.
The line that the “resident Muslims” wanted removed was: “I especially hope we will see the lives of the Iraqi people improve. They have suffered from a harsh dictatorship for too long.”
That was considered too political.
By 1999, internal White House memos would show that the “generic” Clinton take on Islam would be that “we have no issue with Islam, issue is those who distort religion, or nationalism, or ethnic feelings to suit their political interests.”
This, of course, would be the standard line from the Clinton administration to the George W. Bush administration to the Obama administration; despite the rise of al-Qaeda and then ISIS, despite attacks on the World Trade Center, London, and Paris, and despite the sharp spike in worldwide terrorism since the Arab Spring, the messaging from Washington is always “we have no issue with Islam.”
A few days after terrorists toppled the World Trade Center in 2001, George W. Bush would stand in a Mosque in an event arranged by Grover Norquist and Khaled Saffouri, the man who had organized the first Eid dinner at the Clinton White House. Bush would tell the world, “Islam is peace.”
Eleven years later, Hillary Clinton would be Secretary of State, with Huma Abedin at her side. After terrorists from Ansar al-Sharia killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, President Obama would tell the United Nations that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”
The influence operation appears to have worked.
Lessons on Malsi for Bill and Hillary from agent of influence , Huma ; there is no doubt that she must have opened some doors for the Clinton Foundation in SA!

India has the right to enter and neutralize those locations preemptively.
India has claims over the POK(disputed) and has the right to intervene and take control over those regions.
India has claims to inspect any region which has known to cause damage to India

India needs access to Bawalpur where the terrorist plan was hatched.
India needs to access in Bawalpur and Punjab Pak to its Police, Military and investigation for the Indian FIR
India also needs access to Lahore, Muffarbad, I'sbad to do further investigation
India needs information on the banned terrorists groups inside Pakistan and will have to make inspection inside Pak

Next time India will have to come with its helicoptor gunships to eliminate those threats coming from Bawalpur and Lahore

Seven killed in Khuzdar mine blast

QUETTA: At least seven people, including three women and two children were killed and 14 others injured in a landmine blast in Garesha area of Naal Teshil district in Khuzdar, Balochistan on Wednesday.

According to sources, inflammable substance was lit in a house where mines were kept, resulting in fire and a huge explosion.

“The mines were kept in house to destroy the mountains,” :rotfl: a source said.

However, DC Khuzdar Captain (retd) Sarmad Saleem said “a fire accidentally broke out when children of Khate Chak village were playing, which engulfed a wide area leading to blast in a room filled with explosives used for mining.”

The injured were shifted to civil hospital Khuzdar, Naal and Karachi

Pakistan military provides weapons training to ISIS in afghanistan.

Pakistan's military provides weapons and training to ISIS militants in Afghanistan and instructs them to kill the "infidel" Afghan forces, according to a 10-member faction of the group who laid down their arms today.

The group also said that Pakistani military provides light and heavy weapons to ISIS fighters in Afghanistan. "Pakistani military gave us weapons and used to tell us that Afghan forces are infidels and you must kill them," Zaitoon, a former ISIS fighter who laid down his arms and joined the peace talks, was quoted as saying by the TOLO news.

Arabistan, Zaitoon's co-fighter, said: "I was tasked to fight in Nazian district [in Nangarhar]. We used to present our daily report to Punjabis and Pakistanis and they encouraged us to fight the Afghan government."

The 10-member group has joined the peace process due to efforts by the High Peace Council office in the province and also with the help of the Afghan security forces, said Chairman of Nangarhar Provincial Council Malik Nazir.

"There were 24 men in two groups - the first group was 14 Taliban fighters and the second group included 10 Daesh fighters who for the first time joined the peace process," Nazir added.

The Afghan situation is complex as far as ISIS is concerned. There is an IS unit announced with its Emir and the rest of the senior management. There are also a number of erstwhile Taliban commanders, warlords, mujahideen commanders who have announced support for ISIS. All of them have connections with the ISI going back several decades. The case is not as clear cut as in Syria, for example. It is therefore my considered opinion that it is difficult to arrive at a conclusion so easily and so early.

No Schengen visa for A Pakistani Scientist
In 2008, I left for Austria to pursue a PhD degree in Computer Engineering. I got a Schengen visa without any hassle.
My five-year stay in Austria was an unforgettable experience with some indelible memories.
During my stay in Europe, I visited several countries to attend scientific events — including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary among others.
Never did I face any ethnic or racial discrimination in Europe. Never was I made to feel like an outsider.
My wife and my two-year-old daughter, who accompanied me on some of my visits, were also recipients of the same respect and warmth. While adhering to my cultural values and religion, I made countless friends from varying cultures.
Nobody ever frowned at my wife's scarf or commented on my polite refusal to enjoy champagne at graduation ceremonies and departmental parties.
I completed my PhD three years ago and left Austria, my second home, with tears in my eyes.
I returned to Pakistan with an enthusiasm to promote quality research and contribute to the scientific and technological developments of my country.
Soon enough, I was surrounded by countless problems, and it occurred to me that continuing research in this part of the world is no walk in the park.
A couple of months ago, my research paper was accepted at a European conference and I was invited to Rome from Feb 24 to Feb 26 for an oral presentation.
Besides attending the conference, my other motivation was to visit my friends in Austria, to meet my PhD supervisor, to visit the same streets in Austria where I had walked for five years, to see my tiny writings on the walls in different places at the university campus with the hope that I would still find them, to visit the house where I had lived with my family for five years.
I was overjoyed, to say the least.
I applied for the visa on Feb 4 with all the mandatory documents. I was assured that I would be notified about the decision at least a couple of days before my scheduled departure on Feb 23.
There was no reason for my visa application to be rejected. I ticked all the boxes — I am an associate professor at a university and an active researcher with an comprehensive profile. I've spent five years in different European states and have contributed actively in the field of research. I've earned an esteemed status in the scientific community. :(( (forgetting to mention here that green passport of Pakiland ensures "special treatment" at port of entry
The next day, I received a phone call from the visa officer in the consulate.
He said, "Dr Khan, we have a question regarding your visa application. Since you have lived in Austria, we apprehend you may go to Austria other than the specific European country you have applied for. Now be honest with me and tell me what is your plan?"
I was of course taken aback. I had applied for a Schengen visa and I could visit more than 25 European countries on this visa — the same visa when I was pursuing a PhD.
I replied, "Yes, I intend to visit Austria after the conference. But what is the problem?"
He said, “I am sorry. Unless you promise to visit only the conference country, we cannot grant you a Schengen visa. After the Paris attacks, the immigrant rules have been made stricter. The situation is very bad. You may also experience mistreatment during immigration. You will have to assure us that you will not visit any other country."
This was heartbreaking for me. During my five-year stay in Europe, I had begun to consider it my homeland.
How could my homeland restrain my travel to a specific region? However, I unwillingly assured him.
On Feb 16, I received a call from the visa-pick-and-drop service that I should come and collect my passport. Based in Nawabshah, I travelled to Karachi on Feb 17 to collect my passport.
I had made all the preparations for my visit: purchased an air ticket, paid for the conference registration, booked a hotel, purchased the train and bus tickets in the conference country, and even packed my bag.
At the consulate's visa collection counter, I was handed my passport and a letter. When I read the contents of the letter, I was devastated to learn that my visa application had been declined.
This had never happened to me. How on earth could a visa application for a research-based trip be rejected?
I was going to attend an event which promotes research and serves as a platform for researchers across the world to exchange scientific ideas.
I hurriedly skipped to the reason of rejection specified in the letter. It said:
"One or more (Schengen) member states consider you to be a threat to public policy, internal security, public health or the international relations of one or more of the member states".
Never had I felt so disgraced. The letter suggested that I contact the consulate or embassy for further details. But despite my best efforts, I could not obtain a satisfactory reason for being rejected a visa.
Perhaps my other fellow countrymen, who are poles apart from this religious lunacy and barbaric philosophy, will keep paying the price in the days to come.
Such treatment to researchers, like myself, is disappointing and discouraging, especially when Pakistan has been ranked 131 out of 141 countries in the recent ranking of the Global Innovation Index (GII).
Scientific forums and conferences provide food for thought to researchers all over the world.
Under these circumstances, very little can be done for the progress of science and technology in Pakistan.
At the very least, this Paki scientist, is collateral damage against the world's war against sponsors of international terrorism; he should be knowing that his country is ranked as being THE leading country responsible for this world wide scourge; the aam abduls are paying the price !
PS: As an consoling factor, he should take solace that even the late (Gen) Hamid Gul's son was denied education visa to US even after obtaining admission in an American Ivy League School!

PPP resolution for extension in Raheel’s tenure
1.Does not make sense, IMO; after railing and ranting against the Paki Fauj, Dus Percenti, who fled his homeland-for fear of arrest- for the cooler climes of Londonistan and Dubai , now does a three sixty turn and promotes the re-glorification/ tenure extension of the Bad Sharif
2.Not sure if Raheel is contemplating entry into the Paki political circus under the patronage of Immy, as one reader suggested and Ten Percent is "fearing" the competition
3. As compared to the last few months, there now seems to be now less glorification-in the Paki media- of the Army Chief, IMO.

White Elephant Of Pakistan AKA Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Sets Up A New World Record

Pakistan Airways Limited to hire employees on contract
ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed today said that contract employees(hire and fire at will) will be hired for upcoming Pakistan Airways Limited, adding that aircrafts will be taken on dry lease.
the state minister said Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have eight planes out of 23 due to negligence of previous( no disclosure that "some" of the machines were exclusively used as a personal taxi for Ganja and his extended family ) governments.
He further said that more than 800 employees are working against one aircraft that is highest number of employees with one aircraft across the globe.
Inquiring readers would like to know whether an application has been made to the Guinness Book Of World Records :rotfl:
The minister informed the house that the government had released Rs 16 billion rupees to PIA for inducting new aircrafts but its condition remained worsened due to ineligibility of management. According to him, the government wants to give ?26 per cent shares of PIA but that couldn’t successful.( no takers, as earlier touted ?) After that the government has decided to launch Substitute Company in order to facilitate the masses.
MNA Naved Qamar of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) asked the government to tell truth in order to remove all doubts. The committee was informed that roots? and aircrafts of PIA will be given to this company than what will do PIA, he questioned. He asked where revenue will come when PIA don’t have any plane.
Book entry and other organizational gimmicks will not solve the problem of this "sick" company
Sheikh Aftab Ahmed informed the house that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will brief the house about Pakistan Airline today (Friday). He said PIA is not going to disturb with the new airline, adding that opposition will be taken into confidence for every move in this regard.
It will be a good idea, if Ganja Sharif, and Dus Percenti, both billionaires, would jointly consider adding this "asset" to their  portfolio

Authorities seize 2000kg unhygienic meat in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD – The district authorities in Islamabad on Thursday raided illegal slaughter house and seized nearly 2000 kg unhygienic meat and arrested 10 suspects, private TV channel reported.
On the directions of Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the district administration is conducting operations against contaminants. The administration on a tip-off raided an undercover slaughter house near motorway and confiscated the meat.
On the other hand, Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Hassan Waqar Cheema got information that meat of dead animals is also being brought from Jhang in a vehicle. Police while taking action seized the vehicle and confiscated heavy amount of meat from it. Hassan Waqar Cheema stated that dead animals brought from various cities were slaughtered and then sold on various shops in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Moreover ten people working in the slaughter house were also arrested and case was registered against them.
Is it possible that these "tasty morsels" "masquerading" as halal staff, may actually be DONKEY MEAT, and may be destined for the butcher shops of Aabpara Market, to be ultimately served as Aloo Gosht at the dining tables of Jernails and Kernels of the Deep State

Paki-American Pxxn Star Wears Hijab In ***** Movies But Claims To Be A "Practicing Muslim " whatever it means in this context
Meet Pakistani pxrn-star Nadia Ali who still claims to be ‘a practicing Muslim’
“I have been told by my family that I am not a Muslim anymore for being in adult film industry but I am a Muslim and I pray two times a day which makes me a follower of Islam,” (Lahori logic here ?)said the Pakistani-American *****-star Nadia Ali, who is often featured as wearing Hijab in XXX rated films.
According to basic teachings of Islam, the second largest religion on earth, a woman cannot appear in public without wearing clothes which completely cover her body except hands and face. Muslim men and women are also barred from sexual intercourse without marriage and there is a punishment for anyone who violates the rule. :(( ( theory and practice are two different animals altogether, as the recent sexcapades of Saudi Elites reported in the press may indicate  )
Muslim women use a traditional veil or Hijab, a piece of cloth, to cover their head and face for public appearance and however the 24-year-old pxxn star insists that wearing Hijab and doing pxxn simultaneously is just a taboo while arguing that “one can be a practicing Muslim and a pxxn star at the same time.”
When The Daily Beast asked about real reason behind wearing Hijab in ***** films, she said that few people think I do so to earn popularity but I promote the culture of a region ( the hijabi culture in Pakistan and India, as far as I know, is a recent import from the Land Of The Two Holy Mosques !)that I come from.
Responding to a question about her family’s reaction towards her decision to join pxxn film industry, Nadia Ali said “I am not welcome back home in Pakistan and none in my family is okay with my work.”
Further telling about her family she said that she has a sister who also wears Hijab and is a mother while her own mother is a woman which offers prayer five times a day.
She also claimed of receiving death threats from region of her origin (wajib ul-cutlet ?)like fellow adult film actress Mia Khalifa, who hails from Lebanon, but added that she tries to respond to such messages politely.("tameez" may not work in this case !)
It is also relevant to be mentioned here that ***** films are completely banned and any involvement in the business is punishable in Pakistan. The government of Pakistan recently ordered the telecommunication authorities to take down over 94,000 websites (Pakistan # 1 in google search for animal sex !)which carried ***** content.

Why Does the World Bank Say Pakistanis Sent $5 billion to India Last Year?
Mystery Explained In This WSJ Article ?
People in Pakistan sent almost $5 billion to India last year, according to World Bank estimates, making it one of the largest sources of remittances to the world’s second-most-populous country.
The number is astonishingly high considering direct remittances between the rival countries are highly restricted.
What makes the estimate more incredible is that the World Bank says it happens regularly and the amount sent to India is going up.
Those living in Pakistan sent $4.90 billion to India last year, $4.79 billion the previous year and $4.67 billion the year before that, according to the World Bank.
Indian globe-trotters aren’t piling into Pakistan to work on code or construction, in fact only a few thousand Indians go to work in Pakistan each year.(is this possible?MNC staff?) The Reserve Bank of India estimates that only around $1 million was remitted to India from Pakistan through official channels in the year ended March 2015.
The answer is part history and part mystery, says Dilip Ratha, a lead economist at the World Bank and a manager of its migration and remittances development prospects group, which helped come up with the numbers.
The origins of all the money buzzing around the globe are hard to trace. Remittances may go through more than one country before reaching their destination and when money is transferred, it is recorded as if it was sent from the country where the intermediary bank is headquartered. So, for example, a transfer by Citigroup Inc. customer from Milan to Mumbai would be recorded as dollars moving from the U.S.
To try to trace the source of the $72 billion in remittances to India last year, the World Bank can only make an educated guess.“It’s an inexact science,” Mr. Ratha said. “The bilateral remittances are basically made up according to assumptions.”
The World Bank has built a model that uses the population and origins of immigrants, average incomes and cost of living in each country to estimate how remittances flow.
Pakistan is home to more than 1.4 million people who were born in India. However, these immigrants are not your traditional non-resident Indians. They are a remnant of partition when colonial India was split and millions of people moved as they picked a country or were kicked out and displaced by violence.
The World Bank attributes a large slice of India’s annual remittance income to Pakistan because there is such a large group of India-born citizens there. The money also flows the other way, according to the bank’s model, as there are around 1.1 million Pakistan-born people living in India. The World Bank estimates Pakistan received remittances of more than $2 billion from India./quote]
Some readers of The Wall Street Journal who first saw these numbers in a story titled “The Difference Between Indian and Chinese Migrants,” were shocked, skeptical and scared. The amounts had to be a mistake, some said in comments, or proof that money is being sent to finance terrorism or organized crime in India.
Mr. Ratha still stands by the bank’s best guess and says the origin of the cash is much less sinister.
The billions of dollars flying back and forth between the two countries are from the same place as the rest of the world’s remittances: family and friends supporting each other across borders.
There are literally millions of family connections between the two countries and millions of reasons a person in Pakistan might find a way to get money to relatives in India. The money could be sent for a brother in need, a cousin’s wedding, an uncle’s funeral or even to help educate a niece.
Despite the animosity between the two countries, as well as the rules, regulations and restrictions, family and finance finds a way.
Sometimes that means using informal avenues like the hawala money transfer system or arranging for the money to be sent via a different country. Sometimes it means an envelope of cash carried by a friend traveling to India.
“These are two big economies right next to each other. The money must be flowing,” Mr. Ratha said. “That number we put out could even be an underestimation.”
There is no doubt that some of the remittances may well be intended to "create trouble" in India

Hamid Mir, Paki Journo Still Waiting For Justice From Fed Interior Minister On Investigation Into Attack On Him !
Nisar says asked Gen Zaheer to get to the bottom of Hamid Mir attack
TAXILA: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said following the attack on Geo News anchor Hamid Mir he had asked the then DG Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) General Zaheerul Islam to get to the bottom of it.
“However, no progress was made on the matter till today,” Chaudhry Nisar said while addressing a press conference here.
Nisar said although issues like enforced disappearances or attack on Hamid Mir are provincial matters, the Federal government extended its complete cooperation.(obviously does not want to go on the " wrong side" of the Deep State )
He said the govt considers and declares enforced disappearances a serious violation of human rights. “This is intolerable.”
He then compared the present situation of Balochistan and Federally Administered Areas (FATA) with how it looked a few years back when the incumbent government assumed power. He said the situation has improved to a good extent.
Pathankot investigation:
The Interior Minister said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is carrying out the probe into the armed attack on India’s Pathankot air base.
He said meetings of SIT have held and in a few days the foreign office of Pakistan will send a request to India to allow the SIT to visit Pathankot.( and a reciprocal visit by an Indian Team to visit Jaish's HQ in Bahwalpur  )
Chaudhry Nisar reiterated that there is no existence of Middle East based terrorist organization Daesh in Pakistan.
He said the existing terrorist outfits in the country abandoned their old names and started calling themselves Daesh. “They now claim even the smallest attack that takes place in the country.”
He termed as counterproductive the publishing of these outfits’ activities and claims as headlines, saying such coverage only serve to highlight their profile.
The Interior Minister regretted that a number of TV talk shows are held to discuss non-issues like whether Daesh is present in Pakistan or not. “If Daesh is really present in Paksitan, then identify them…identify the people with Arabic names,” he added.
He said those using the name of Daesh have been marked and are in the cross-hairs of the law enforcing agencies. :((
He reiterated that if someone has broken the law, action will be taken against him. “If you have evidence against him (Maulana Abdul Aziz) present it to us,” he added.
Army Chief’s retirement:
The Interior Minister said he cannot say anything on the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif’s decision to not seek extension in service.

This is actually related to Paki Pappi Poaquttars
Asian sex abusers to be stripped of UK citizenship and deported
Asian-born sex abusers will be stripped of their UK citizenship and deported at the end of their sentences under a new Home Office drive, The Independent can reveal.Theresa May, the Home Secretary, is planning to significantly increase her department’s use of legal powers that allow serious criminals with dual nationality to have their British citizenship withdrawn, Whitehall sources say.Until now, the powers have predominately been used to remove the UK passports of terrorists and terrorist sympathisers. But senior department sources told The Independent that – in response to the series of Asian sex abuse gangs uncovered in towns across the country in recent years – there is likely to be an “acceleration of passport strike-outs and potential deportations”.British-Pakistani members of the gang of six men and women from Rotherham who were convicted on Wednesday of offences including rape, forced prostitution, indecent assault and false imprisonment are expected to face action to strip them of their UK citizenship after they are sentenced today. Legal proceedings seeking their potential deportation to Pakistan are likely to follow. b]Although amendments to British nationality laws in 2014 making it easier to strip dual nationals of citizenship were primarily aimed at terrorists who could undermine the UK’s security, the Home Office is now using the same legal sanctions to target serious crime, including sex abuse. In a sign of the department’s new approach, the Home Office recently took legal action against the British-Pakistani ringleader and members of a child sex gang in Rochdale who were convicted [/b]in 2012. A special immigration tribunal in Manchester has just completed hearing appeals against Ms May’s decision to end their British citizenship and begin deportation proceedings.

India moving U.N. to blacklist Masood - Kallol Bhattacharjee, The Hindu
In its biggest diplomatic move after the Pathankot attack, India will approach the United Nations on Friday to include the Pakistan-based terror mastermind Maulana Masood Azhar on the list of globally designated terrorists, official sources told The Hindu on Thursday.

“We will be moving the 1267 Sanctions Committee to also include the name of Masood Azhar on the sanctions list. It is a great anomaly that the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) is listed but not its leader,” Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, said, pointing out that Azhar remained unsanctioned though his group, JeM, was included by the 1267 Sanctions Committee on the list of Foreign Terrorist Organisations in 2001.

Officials said India would formally request the 1267 Sanctions Committee, which consists of 15 members, to schedule a discussion on Masood Azhar on Friday. The decision is significant since it is the second time in less than a year that India will attempt to isolate an international terrorist through the anti-terror committee.

In June 2015, India moved the committee in the United Nations, demanding an explanation from Pakistan for its decision to release the 26/11 attack plotter Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi from jail.

The attempt to isolate Pakistan, however, failed at the last moment because of China’s opposition. Officials said that this year too, China’s attitude would be watched.

However, according to experts, the attempt to isolate Masood Azhar has a greater possibility to succeed at the 1267 Sanctions Committee.

“India has already given actionable intelligence and technical intercepts that connect Masood Azhar’s organisation to the Pathankot attack. The technical inputs are likely to be presented before the UN committee,” Gen (retd.) Ved Prakash Malik said.

Gen. Malik said Pakistan’s recent action arresting individuals connected to the Pathankot attack might also be cited by India to strengthen the case against Masood.

He said India also had a better chance of getting more support at the U.N. Security Council from members like France who might help in convincing Pakistan’s strategic allies to understand the global threat posed by individuals like Masood Azhar.

“China has its strategic interest in Pakistan and that is why it did not support India’s previous attempt ... ,” he said.

British media can't stop masquerading the Pakis into "Asians", can it ?
