D13, Block 4, Clifton, Karachi: TV sting confirms Dawood's address

NEW DELHI: A sting operation by a national TV channel claimed to confirm that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim indeed lives in Karachi's posh Clifton area.

The video shows the address of Dawood's bungalow as D 13, Block 4, Clifton, Karachi, an address which has been shared by India with Pakistan on several occasions.

The channel, on the basis of interviews of guards and locals, claimed that everyone in the area knew that Dawood lived there.

Reacting to the TV report about Dawood's presence in Pakistan, the government on Thursday said that it will continue to pursue its case that Pakistan hand over the 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind back to India.

"The news reports referred only corroborates the facts that were already available with us. We will continue to pursue this matter and we expect Pakistan to hand over this international terrorist to us," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup told reporters at a media briefing.

The official said India had in the past shared details of Dawood, including his possible locations in Pakistan with Islamabad. "Dawood Ibrahim is a UN-designated global terrorist and a fugitive from Indian law, at several point of time his details have been shared by the Indian government with the government of Pakistan," he added.

The sting operation shows Dawood's house flanked by a cricket stadium on one side and the Clifton Marquee, a popular wedding and banquet hall on the other. The compound has three metre high walls, barricades leading up to the entrance and private security guards manning it 24x7. It claimed that Dawood's presence there was confirmed by locals.

Dawood is wanted in India for the past 23 years and Pakistan has always denied his presence there despite irrefutable evidence provided by Delhi.

Diplomatic row over hanging of BD leader deepens - DAWN
Pakistan and Bangladesh summoned each other’s ambassadors on Thursday to register “strong protest” in connection with a row over the execution of an Islamist leader in Dhaka this week, both sides said in their statements.

Bangladesh has in the past few years been prosecuting people accused of carrying out crimes in support of Pakistani forces during the 1971 war, and has executed five of them, the most recent one, Motiur Rehman Nizami, on Wednesday.

In a statement here, the Foreign Office said the acting high commissioner of Bangladesh was summoned to the foreign ministry by director general for South Asia and Saarc and a “strong protest” was lodged over the “unfortunate hanging”.

“The attempts by the government of Bangladesh to malign Pakistan, despite our keen desire to develop brotherly relations with it, are regrettable,” the statement said.

“It needs to be emphasised that, as part of the [1974 Tripartite] Agreement, the government of Bangladesh decided not to proceed with the trials as an act of clemency,” the Foreign Office added.

For its part, Bangladesh summoned the Pakistani ambassador in Dhaka to register its “strong protest” over statements on the issue by Pakistan.

“The government of Bangladesh deeply regrets that despite Bangladesh’s repeated overtures, the malicious campaign by Pakistan against the trials of the crimes against humanity and genocide in Bangladesh is continuing,” Bangladesh said in its statement.

Pakistan-Afghanistan border shut for third day
Pakistani authorities closed the border on Tuesday after Afghan border forces prevented fencing along the border to stop illegal cross-border movements. Thousands of people and vehicles are stuck up on both sides of the border, witnesses said.
My take on this: Afghanistan (no matter which kind of government is in power in Kabul ) DOES NOT RECOGNIZE , the so-called Durand (British )Line, which divides the same two people on both sides of the border !

Ganja Reveals His Strategy For Monday NA Address : Give Speech And Get Out !
Opposition not entitled to pose questions: PM
ON BOARD PAK-ONE (did not know that such an animal existed !): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday the opposition was not entitled to ask questions and advised his adversaries not to assume the role of a judicial commission on the question of the PanamaLeaks.
“I will say in parliament what is required to be stated there and respond before the judicial commission what has to be asked by that forum,” he said while talking to the accompanying media on his return sojourn from Tajikistan after inaugurating the Central Asia-South Asia (CASA)-1000 power project that would provide 1,000MW power at cheaper rates to Pakistan within two years. The prime minister made light of a query pertaining to the demand for his stepping down made by some politicians with a broad smile. When the questioner insisted on the query, the prime minister, referring to his laughter, said, “I have already replied.”
The prime minister said that he would consider referring the matter to the NAB through consultations with his advisers once it becomes a serious proposition. The prime minster without naming Imran Khan said that he hasn’t accepted him as prime minister right from the beginning despite assurance in the initial days that he would cooperate with the government for development of the country. He said that he visited him in hospital first when he was injured and then his house but his agenda is to create instability through uncalled for protests and sit-ins.
It will be the Bad Sharif who decides his fate and not Imran Khan !
Under CASA-1000, Pakistan will be able to acquire 1,000MW of electricity, generated by Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan via Afghanistan. Afghanistan will also get 300MW of the total 1,300MW. The transmission line originates from Kyrgyzstan with substation at Datka to Tajikistan’s four substations including Sughda, Dushanbe, Regar and Sangtuda and then passes through Afghanistan to Pakistan with a converter station at Nowshera.
Meanwhile, Nawaz had a brief chat with Dr Abdullah Abdullah Thursday after inaugural ceremony of CASA-1000 project as he renewed invitation for visiting Pakistan. The chief executive called off his visit early last month suddenly. The two leaders had exchange of pleasantries in the course of their interaction.

Greece deports 53 Pakistanis
ISLAMABAD: Some 53 illegal Pakistani migrants arrived at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) in Islamabad after being deported from Greece. Around 500 Pakistanis are currently detained in Turkey and awaiting processing of their deportation papers.
When will India deport Illegal Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Rohingyas?

Another Confirmation By An Ex-Fauji Cum Journo That Noose Is Being Tightened Around Ganja's Neck !
Net tightens…sadly, no escaping Panama leaks By Ayaz Amir
Islamabad diary
This is the writing on the wall and even loyalist mediamen – coming into their colour and fully exposing themselves – and partisans of the Sharifian order would be recognising this, if not openly then in their heart of hearts. The outlook for the Sharifovs is not just grim. It is fast hurtling to the point of no return.
All because the evasions are not working and the charges thrown up by the leaks are just too damning to go away just like that. Go to the web and type in the words 1 Hyde Park and you’ll get all you need to know of the luxury flats in the possession of this poor-friendly family which, off and on, in the name of the people has been ruling Pakistan for the last 30 years.
The military we say has been running things here for much of the nation’s history. Very true. But no military ruler, not the toughest, has had as long a stint at the top as the Sharifovs. The Ayubs, Yahyas, etc, have come and gone. The Sharifovs have persevered on and on and done what no military ruler ever could achieve – not only lording it over the home stretch but acquiring a name for themselves as squires of Mayfair and the West End.
Musharraf has a flat on Edgeware Road and property in Dubai (if not elsewhere too). But let him eat his heart out. His holdings come nowhere near the towering achievements of the Sharifs. He is no squire of Mayfair.
Piety at home ; indulgence abroad ; in true tradition of the Taqiyya tactic !
But, since there is a limit to everything and even the Roman Empire eventually came to an end – otherwise Gibbon would have had no cause to write his Down and Fall – the days of wine and roses (and Haleem and Briyani )for the Sharifs are in danger of coming to an end
The clouds are gathering and the horizon is darkening and the clocks are ticking and yet all that the Sharifs can think of is one futile evasion after the other.
Business is business and piety is piety. This is a bit like some of our Pakhtun brothers (I hasten to add, not all) who even if they are into smuggling – and along the western marches this remains an honourable calling – they are very particular about their prayers. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and unto God what is God’s. Who says Pakistan is not a secular society?
This may be the agenda of the Sharifs, summed up in that quintessential Subcontinental term, ‘time-pass’. Even as they look nervous and depressed they still cling to the hope that time-pass will solve their problems. Alas, not everyone is onto the same agenda.
The Sharifs’ foremost priority may be Mayfair flats – and offshore accounts to obscure their various and mind-boggling money trails – but army, PAF and agencies have other things on their minds.
Let me put it more starkly. If the Sharifs are thinking that they can string everyone along until November when Gen Raheel Sharif’s term comes to an end and then sit back and bask in the luxury of appointing a Ziauddin Butt, some close replica of his, as next army chief, someone more to their way of thinking than the hyper-active Gen Raheel, they are living in a dream-world, chasing ghosts and shadows.
So, the 'Good Sharifs' are hoping that the matter will fly away when the 'Bad Sharif' departs  !
Bhutto stretched out the negotiating game in 1977 to the point where nothing was left with him and the army marched in and upended the political scene. The Sharifs are similarly stretching out the reckoning. They face a hard choice:
In Pakistan great wealth was always associated with commerce, industry and smuggling. The Sharifs blazed a new trail: associating great wealth with politics and power.
The Panama leaks, a thunderbolt from the skies, suggest that their luck is finally running out. But they are still finding it difficult to read the writing on the wall.

India's Plan To Isolate Pakistan Are Succeeding According To This Report
Is India isolating Pakistan?
Modi is making unprecedented overtures to Islamabad’s friends and neighbours -
With India aggressively pursuing its ambitions of getting a more prominent role in the world, there is a feeling in Islamabad that an essential element of Delhi’s strategy is to encircle and isolate Pakistan.
These fears have been particularly reinforced by Indian moves in the region, where on the one hand the Modi government is developing close relations with countries in the Arab world that have traditionally been seen as Pakistan’s allies, while on the other it is reinforcing its engagement with Pakistan’s uneasy neighbours like Iran and Afghanistan and the countries in the broader South Asian region.
tft-14-p-1-cPrime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tehran on May 22 for starting ‘a new phase’ in India-Iran ties. The visit – during which Mr Modi is expecting to seal the multi-billion dollar agreements on Chabahar Port, investments in Farzad B gas project, construction of International North-South Transport Corridor, the India-Iran gas pipeline and security – comes close on the heels of his highly successful visits to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.-
In this day and age, Pakistan cannot rely on support from the Islamic world by just invoking the "Malsi Card"
...ruling BJP make it no secret that they are working for the ‘grand isolation’ of Pakistan by restricting Islamabad’s sphere of influence. -
Modi’s visit to the UAE was first by an Indian premier in 34 years, and the Riyadh trip was fourth ever to the Kingdom by a prime minister of India. That in itself says a lot about the significance of these contacts. -
But the unsaid part of the script for this engagement is Indian desire to reduce Pakistani influence in these countries and possibly pressure Islamabad through them on issues of concern to India. New Delhi may have achieved initial success on that count if one were to look at the statements issued after Modi’s visits to the two countries, both of which endorsed Delhi’s terrorism concerns. - See more at: http://www.thefridaytimes.com/tft/is-india-isolating-pakistan/#sthash.5ieFWBhn.dpuf
India has, moreover, been actively working on its SAARC-minus-one strategy for economically integrating the region without Pakistan, and has already carved out a sub-region by formalizing the Motor Vehicles Agreement (MVA) between India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh for promotion and facilitation of passenger and cargo vehicular traffic among the four South Asian neighbours. India is also developing South Asia Satellite. Islamabad likely stayed out these projects deliberately because of its own reservations, but the very fact that India went ahead with these two initiatives without Pakistan reveals its intentions. If it continues its present policies Pakistan will become irrelevant to SAARC in a few years !
Most importantly, Islamabad needs to build relationships with other countries independent of their ties with other countries. It should stop looking at Afghanistan through the prism of India, and the relationship with Iran should not be hindered by its cooperation with India or its troubled ties with the GCC countries.
But old habits die hard !

No Pakistan government will admit presence of Dawood Ibrahim in that country: Chidambaram
A day after the whereabouts of wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim were reportedly revealed by CNN-News18, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has claimed that “no Pakistan government is going to admit that Dawood has sought refuge in their country,” according to another CNN-News18 report.
Nothing new here !
Through a sting operation, it had earlier been reported that Ibrahim lived at D 13, Block 4, Clifton, Karachi in a huge bungalow barricaded on all sides.
As a response to the video of Ibrahim’s house released by the news channel, Chidambaram said, “the Pakistan government is never going to yield Dawood Ibrahim to you. They are never going to admit that Dawood has sought refuge there and even if they do, they are never going to make them available to you."
The Congress leader too referred to this in his statement. “The whole world knows that Dawood Ibrahim has an address in Pakistan. In fact we have shared with the Pakistan government. They have of course denied it,” he added, according to the CNN-News 18 report.
Pakistan has indeed been in denial. Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit asked the Indian government to “share information on Dawood, if you have any." Chidambaram also commented on the efforts of the Indian government. He reportedly said that not being able to bring back Ibrahim is “not a failure of any Indian government. The problem is with Pakistan.”
Dawood is a non- state actor at the "service" of Pakistan
Chidambaram's remarks on Dawood Ibrahim come at a time when the MEA said that the government was pursuing the matter of bringing back the underworld don from Pakistan.
"Dawood is a UN-designated global terrorist and a fugitive of the Indian law. At several points of time, his details have been shared by India with Pakistan government, including his possible locations in Pakistan. We will continue to pursue this matter and we expect Pakistan to hand over this international terrorist to us," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup had said on Thursday.
But Pakistan will "demand" more evidence of Dawood's involvement in Anti-India activities

Tajik authorities apologizes over map error at CASA-1000 launching: FO
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Foreign Office has clarified that Tajikistan authorities regretted the inconsistency found in the map displayed at the site of the inauguration of CASA-1000 in Tajikistan.
According to a Foreign Office statement, the error was immediately noted on the arrival of Pakistani delegation at the site and brought to the notice of the host country, which immediately took notice and regretted the error.
The Tajik authorities explained that it was a painting depicting the region without any focus on boundaries of the countries.
The Foreign Office said the brochure circulated among the delegates at the ceremony contained the map correctly depicting the boundaries of Pakistan.
Earlier, the wrong map of Pakistan was displayed during the inauguration ceremony of the CASA-1000 energy power project in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It sparked criticism on the government for failing to notice the humiliating error.
The map/painting - showing Kashmir as part of India - must have been supplied by the Indian Embassy in Dushanbe, last Friday when the whole Paki embassy staff was busy performing their Juma naamaz in one of the mosques in the city
The project is being financed by the United States, Britain, the World Bank, European Investment Bank, and the Islamic Development Bank.
So, some of the rich Ummah brothers did pitch in ! Ganja Sharif "probably" the richest among the four, should have set an example and "donated/ shared " some of his off-shore loot in his personal capacity. It would have been highly appreciated by the Aam Abduls of all the four countries !

Insight: Pakistan's nuclear weapons in the hands of radicals: Hussain Haqqani
For the first time NewsX is in a position to confirm a thus far secret plan drawn up by Pakistan to punish India using tactical nuclear weapons. In an exclusive interview to NewsX, a top advisor to former Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto has revealed the secrets of the deadly plot.
Hussain Haqqani has told NewsX that Pakistan's new nuclear doctrine envisages handing over tactical nuclear weapons to brigadier and colonel level officers in the field. Haqqani says this worrying departure from nuclear protocol virtually puts the operational control of these deadly weapons in the hands of Pakistan Army's second rung.
The Pakistani insider says that this is a nightmarish development as Pakistan's second rung military leadership has been notoriously radicalised through exposure to Pak-based Islamic terror groups and could be tempted to use these deadly tactical weapons against India.
If true and if confirmed, it is a very disturbing development. Or it could be psychological warfare; with Pakis, anything is possible !
This is actually a really good example of calculated brinkmanship and rational display of 'for show' irrationality to deter invasion by a superior force. In fact, if ever China grows overly grabby for 'South Tibet', we should do the same.

The Indian answer does not lie in a vast host of tanks rolling towards the Indus, but internal destabilization and international de-legitmization of the Pakistani state combined with irregular warfare that extends into Pakistan. From the fence to as far as a 155mm shell can travel, the area should be dominated by Indian regular and irregular forces.

Prime Mule to leave for Turkey tomorrow to seek Erdogan's advice: sources
Caliph Caliph,We Both are Relics
ISLAMABAD: As pressure builds up on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over Panama Papers, the premier is said to be travelling to Turkey to seek advice.“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will depart on Saturday for a day-long personal visit to meet Turkish President Recep Erdogan,” sources privy to the development told The Express Tribune. The prime minister along with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also attend the wedding ceremony of the Turkish president, the sources added.Sources said the premier has long admired Erdogan’s tactics in dealing with his country’s dominating army and wants to implement similar strategies on his home soil. The development comes after Army chief General Raheel Sharif was quoted as asking the premier to resolve the Panama Papers issue.Gen Raheel’s advice came amid an unabated war of words between the government and the opposition on the scope of a judicial inquiry the prime minister has ordered into the Panama leaks.Sources privy to the closed-door meeting confirmed the army chief told the prime minister that the Panama leaks scandal was affecting national security and creating distraction from more pressing issues faced by the country. Therefore, he advised the premier to resolve the issue at the earliest, sources added.

I am not a 'face-reader". But I can see in the picture that he (Ganja), as the saying goes, "not there" (ie in the present ). Something is bothering him for sure ; it could be the last (one -on-one ) meeting with Bad Sharif. It could be the blunder over the Tajik flag thingy. Or it could be the Pajama Leaks fiasco. Ghani Accuses Pakistan Of Harboring Taliban
President Ashraf Ghani has criticized Pakistan for its policy of tackling the Taliban leadership in that country, and blasted Islamabad for not taking decisive action against the militant groups which he believes are waging war against Afghanistan from inside Pakistan's territory.
Ghani went on to say that the Taliban leadership is freely moving around in Pakistan.
And how Mullah Omar was "kept alive" by the Pakis years after his death
The Afghan government has been blaming Pakistan for its role in using the Taliban as tools in pursuit of its political and strategic objectives in Afghanistan, something the Pakistani officials have always dismissed, saying that Pakistan strongly believes on a politically stable and prosperous Afghanistan as a neighbor.
While Afghan President Ghani was blasting Pakistan in London, his Chief Executive was "breaking bread" with Ganja Sharif in Dushenbe, Tajikistan.
IMO, Ganja Sharif's attendance would have been appreciated more in London, the venue of the recent Anti Corruption Conference where his beloved Pakiland would have vied for the title of the "Most Corrupt" nation along with neighbour Afghanistan and corruption rich Nigeria !

Ambassador Jilani slams anti-Pakistan NYT editorial
From the above it seems that the Paki Embassy In Washington is 400% busy fighting fires left and right; one day, it is writing letters to NY Times or Washington Post ; the next day, it is accusing Hollywood of bad -mouthing Pakistan in TV programs like Madame Secretary or Homeland Security . On the third day, it has to defend its decision to purchase F-16s for the purpose of eliminating "terrorists" . And the Indian Lobby has vehemently denied that it is behind these anti -Pakistani attacks; maybe, no lobbying firm in Washington is willing to take their account !

India making untiring efforts to block US sale of F-16 to Pak: Sartaj Aziz
Aziz also spoke about the Indian lobby using the Pathankot attack against Pakistan in the US.
Pakistan’s relation with the US is under stress due to a decision by the Congress to block the sale of eight F-16 fighter jets to the country, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said. Briefing the Senate, Aziz candidly admitted that Pakistan-US ties were under stress for the past three months over the F-16 issue but the two were working to resolve it.
Aziz also mentioned the ‘India factor’ for at least three times during his speech.
The "old fart" should be excused for this! After all he is over 82 years old and everyone is entitled to have his "senior moments"
“The Indian lobby has been making untiring efforts to reverse the US decision, and a strong attempt, through Senator Rand Paul’s resolution, to block the sale itself.”
But “we have forcefully rejected Indian objections to the sale of eight F-16s to Pakistan and drawn attention to the wide ranging defence deals concluded between India and the US during US Defence Secretary’s recent visit to India. We have also emphasised the importance of maintaining strategic stability in South Asia,” the adviser said.
At another point during his speech, Aziz spoke about the Indian lobby using the Pathankot attack against Pakistan in the US.
So, the Modi/Doval policy of naming and shaming Pakistan wherever possible is at last starting to bear fruit !
“The Indian lobby in the US has also been highly pro-active in adding fuel to the fire, specially after the Pathankot incident on January 1, 2016,” he said.
Aziz said that US-Pakistan ties had come to a standstill in 2011 because of unfortunate incidents like the WikiLeaks revelations, Raymond Davis and Abbottabad operation. But Since 2013, the top diplomat said, Pakistan’s relations with the US had witnessed an “upward trajectory.”
Is'nt it high time that this (Pathan ) stud and old Harvard PhD call it quits and retire to his farm in the hills, as he has lost past his "best before date . I am sure that Ganja Sharif will be able to find a young Harvard Ph.D to replace him !
He said Pakistan was working on multiple levels to improve ties and sort out differences on various issues. He mentioned about the differences between the US and Pakistan over the handling of the issue of Dr Shakil Afridi, arrested for allegedly helping CIA track down Osama bin Laden, and the fight against Haqqani network and the nuclear issue. He also briefly mentioned Pakistan’s efforts to stabilize Afghanistan and said a key meeting of the Quadrilateral Coordination Group involving Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and the US would be held in Islamabad on May 18 and 19.
Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani, who had made a strong observation against the US on Wednesday declaring it a “callous state,” referred the F-16 issue to the House committees on defence and foreign affairs with a directive to submit a report on the progress on the issue in every session.
Rabbani told members that on the request of the foreign ministry he had sent a letter to his US counterpart in March inviting him to visit Pakistan, but said now he would revisit his decision and only pursue the invitation in the light of the committees’ report on the matter.

Opposition members have boycotted proceedings since Monday over Pime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s absence in the Senate. The Senators termed the US a friend which could not be trusted anymore. They also criticised the US for expanding its ties with India, ignoring the fact that Pakistan had been its frontline partner in the war on terror.
No mention of the double game played by Pakistan with US with ref to Taliban etc

When Mohammadden religion driven practises cloister away women in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, it is inevitable that deviant paedophilic homosexual rape crops up:

12-year-old boy gang raped, strangled to death in Tando Mohammad Khan

This deviant behaviour is no one off event in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Similar incidents of paedophilic homosexual rape have been reported over the past couple of years or so. Indeed I suspect that the incidents of this nature, by standards of prevalence of deviant behaviour, are quite widespread in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:

Nine-year-old boy raped allegedly by relative in Peshawar

11-year-old gang-raped in Peshawar

Boy gang-raped in Mansehra

7-year-old boy dies after being gang raped by 'influentials' in Bahawalnagar

How can 25% of Bakis be over weight in Bhooka Nanga Pakistan?
Obesity or getting over-weight is alarmingly increasing in Pakistan and latest surveys and studies indicate that almost 25 percent of the Pakistani population, even small children upto the age of 10 years, are obese and over-weight, doctors and dieticians said here.

"Obesity is now the national health emergency and it is increasing at an alarming rate in Pakistan. Every 4th person is obese or in other words, 25 percent of Pakistani population is over-weight or obese. Without public awareness and use of technology, it can't be controlled in Pakistan", Dr Fareeduddin, Deputy Director of National Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Dow University of Health Sciences said.

Accompanied by renowned dietician Saima Rasheed and Dr Zakiuddin Ahmed, he was addressing a news conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on the launching of health portal fightobesity.info, which has been supported by the pharmaceutical firm Pharmevo.

Dr Fareeduddin maintained that earlier, Body Mass Index (BMI) was used to describe obesity but now abdominal circumference is measured to know if a person is obese or not. "In South Asians Islamic Junkistanis, if the waist circumference in women is more than 80 cm or 31.5 inches and in men, if the circumference is about 90 cm or 34.5 inches, they are obese  ," he informed.

Terming obesity or being over-weight as mother of most of all physical and mental illnesses, Dr Fareeduddin said doctors in the world were now terming it a disease itself, which was leading to other serious and life-threatening diseases like diabetes, hypertension, Ischemic heart disease, depression and ophthalmological disorders.

He claimed that obesity was on the rise since 2000 in Pakistan and by 2014, it had increased three folds in the country and now it has become endemic, and added that even young children were getting obese and becoming diabetics in the country. "During 80s and 90s, there used to be one Moto in a classroom at schools but now every other boy is a Moto :rotfl: . In fact, boys and girls have stopped calling each other Moto or Moti because it is not a unique thing anymore," he claimed.

Due to rising obesity among children, boys and girls are also getting diabetics and hypertensive as new onset of diabetes or new cases of type-II, which is lifestyle disease, is increasing during last couple of days, Dr Fareeduddin added. In these circumstances, it is heartening to note that a local company has come up with an electronic portal where a group of doctors and dieticians would present their advices and articles on the important issue of diabetes and obesity, he said adding that people would learn a lot from by visiting the site on having healthy lifestyle, balanced diet and recommended medication to live a normal life.

IMO by any rational explanation (and also cited sources) everyone is well aware that the distinction for this dubious honour belongs to Pakistan and not India

First of all, the data must be normalized and absolute numbers cannot be the reason for conclusion. Secondly, in India, such killings of journalists are because of myriad reasons not because the army and its intelligence didn't like what he/she wrote, or the Government ordered the elimination of the person or the dozens of terrorist organizations didn't like that person's face, or the sectarian outfits weren't delighted by the fact that he/she belonged to a minority sect of Islam or a minority Faith etc. In Pakistan, such killings are sponsored by the powerful stakeholders of the State while in India it is random.

Pakistan-Afghanistan border shut for third day
Army chief, Afghan envoy agree to reopen Torkham border crossing

So instead of being confrontational and belligerent , the Bad Sharif is being depicted here by the Paki press as being generous to the pleadings of the "brotherly " Afghan Govt, (via the Ambassador).

Note the absence of "Barra Danda" in Bad Sharif's lap (weapon strictly reserved for Ganja Sharif to keep him "in line " )

Pakistani Hackers Allegedly Involved in $81 Million Bangladesh Bank Heist
New information has come to light regarding the theft of $81 million from Bangladesh’s central bank. This security breach has now come to be known as one of the largest cyberheists in history, spreading panic amongst the global financial system.
Investigators revealed that evidence has been found regarding three hacking groups involved in the theft in the Great Bangladesh bank heist of 2016.
Two of these groups pertain to two nation states.( Deep State and Chini -blothers ?) And they may have been aided by an insider according to the preliminary investigation.
But it was the third as of yet unidentified group that was responsible for planning and pulling off the heist allegedly.
Until now, the third group behind the hack was not identified, the one responsible for the Bangladeshi Job as believed by the investigators.
FireEye Inc. the forensic security firm hired to investigate the breach at bank, have found fingerprints of hackers believed to be from Pakistan and North Korea. (Everyone knows that the NK are proxies for the Chinese !)Efforts are still ongoing to identify whether the third group was a criminal organization or another agent from another nation.
The cyber heist took one year worth of planning to execute. It targeted the Swift messaging system in use by banks worldwide and the Central bank’s accounts in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, leading to panic in global financial circles. Even members of the US Congress took notice of the hack and raised questions about the lapse in security.
“These guys started to lay the groundwork for their hack or their robbery a year ago. They set up their false accounts, with false IDs,” said Leonard Schrank, who was Swift’s chief executive officer for 15 years through 2007. “It was really well thought through, and they found a very weak link, which they exploited.”
Interestingly, the amount of money stolen via the hack could’ve potentially run into billions if the hackers did not fail in basic spelling errors. Before they could do some major damage, the hack was discovered.
The Bangladesh bank heist of March 2016 serves as a grim reminder of how money can be digitally and effortlessly stolen without the need for robbers to be physically present at banks. Will this become the norm in the 21st century? Your guess is as good as ours.
Where there is smoke (in this case economic terrorism) there is always fire ( Pakistan !)

I already said that because of the interference of Pakistan in the internal affairs of BD to the point of even instigating an insurgency, instability and incitement to violence, the latter must break-off relationship with the former. The two countries have just recalled their respective ambassadors now and I hope that it is a prelude to BD doing the right thing shortly. That would be in fitness of things. AoA.

PajamaPanama Leak Jokes By Paki Press
Here are the Top 7 reactions to the Panama leaks in Pakistan, because the only good that has ever come out of politics is the entertainment!
1. At first we tried hard to understand what the leaks were all about…

Ye Sabzi ki baat kar raaha hai ya ghar kae plumbing ki !

2. Then we reacted with a healthy amount of skepticism
…And we wondered what kind of a place Panama was

Not sure if its Panama Leaks or Pajama Leaks !

Pa-Na-Ma Ke Logon sae bach woh-na-Pa-Na-Ma ki sun-tay-hain
3. Naturally, when we found that Panama was first used by the Americans we asked:

kiya ye sab sazish hae!

4. But it sunk in when we realized how many people had been named

Baaki sab ka naam hai merit list per sirf mera hi kyon nahin !

5. And then came the anger…

in saaray leaks ki safai kaun karey ga ? !

6. …but when the spotlight focused on our own, we said:

Maamla ab bigar gya hain , challo adda khaali karo !

We still managed to find ways of cheering ourselves up though…

Is Mushkil Garhi Mein aik aur mehngi tou banti hai na ? !

7. But we all cooled down after realizing investigations would never get off the ground…

Is se jaldi tors (terms of reference ) tou mein bhi likh leta !

U.S. overrides objections of Pakistan and China, says India ready for NSG membership
Deliberations about prospects of new members joining group an internal matter among current members: Kirby
Amid reports that China and Pakistan are jointly opposing India’s bid for the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) membership, the United States has said India meets missile technology control regime requirements and is ready for entry into the exclusive club.
“I’d point you back to what the President said during his visit to India in 2015, where he reaffirmed that the U.S. view was that India meets missile technology control regime requirements and is ready for NSG membership,” State Department Spokesman John Kirby said on Friday. His remarks came in response to a question on reports that China and Pakistan have joined hands to oppose India becoming a member of the NSG.
“I’m going to refer you to the governments of China and Pakistan with respect to their positions on India’s membership,” Mr. Kirby said. “Deliberations about the prospects of new members joining the NSG are an internal matter among current members,” he said.
Defending its move to block India’s entry into the NSG, China on Saturday claimed that several members of the 48-nation bloc shared its view that signing of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was an “important” standard for the NSG’s expansion.
So, he is making entry conditional on both India and Paki signing the NPT?
It’s about the NPT: China
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said in Beijing that not only China but also a lot of other NSG members were of the view that NPT was the cornerstone for safeguarding the international nuclear non-proliferation regime.
Asked about reports that China is pushing Pakistan’s entry into the NSG linking it to India’s admission into the bloc, Mr. Lu has said the NSG is an important part of NPT, which has been the consensus of the international community for long. “Although India is not part of the NSG, Indian side recognises this consensus,” he claimed.
India yet to sign the pact
India, Pakistan, Israel and South Sudan were the four U.N. member states which have not signed the NPT, the international pact aimed at preventing the spread of nuclear weapons.
Last month, Pakistan Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had said China helped Pakistan stall India’s bid to get NSG membership.
Couple of questions : How does the NSG internal charter say about entry of new members; is unanimity required from all members ; secondly can the US make this happen in spite of China's objection ; and what is the US wants in return ? lastly, is the timing of this statement "suspicious" ? forthcoming trip of Modi-ji to Massaland !

Chinese offer to finance whole $2b LNG project

ISLAMABAD: It appears that the Rs184 billion the government had collected to finance gas infrastructure projects will never be used for their intended purpose, as Chinese have agreed to finance the whole LNG Gwadar terminal and pipeline project.

Originally, the Chinese side was to provide 85% of the financing for the $2 billion project while the remaining 15% ($300 million) was to come from Pakistan’s side. For that purpose, Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) was to gather the needed funds for the project.

Under the cess, Rs184 billion was collected, which translates to around $1.8 billion, far exceeding the $0.3 billion needed to finance the project.

The Express Tribune previously reported how these funds had already been spent on projects like Metro and Orange Line, according to officials.

When the Chinese pressed, the finance ministry stalled. The reluctance to even release the token money for the project, gave away the truth: funds were no longer available.

After having weighed Pakistan’s inability to pay for the infrastructure project, the Chinese asked the government to apply for a loan – an expensive and burdensome alternative but better than nothing. But the government continued to drag its feet as it wanted to have Project Cycle-1 (PC-1) approved from the Planning Commission beforehand.

Left with no alternative and irked by government’s inability to even apply for a loan, the Chinese have agreed to finance 100% of the project, instead of the original 85%. Why are the Chinese so DESPERATE for Business or are they confident of Cwapistani inability to "repay the Loan" so that the Chinese keep collecting "Interest" at Extortionist Rates?

All the chain of events beggar the question, if Chinese were to indeed be allowed to finance the whole project, what of the Rs184 billion cess? Shared by Cwapistani Political and Fauji Leaders!

History

At a time when gas shortage was becoming less of a probable scenario and more of an imminent threat, Pakistan conceived Gwadar-Nawabshah pipeline dream.

It was originally proposed as an alternative to the Iran-Pakistan pipeline, since US sanctions on Tehran at the time meant Pakistan was to surrender its own energy interests.

The project is to be developed under a government-to-government agreement with the Chinese side responsible for project implementation alongside financing.
