It is like this - HC is will surely to shoot you in the head, and DT may be half crazy or a highly cunning fox who may kill or not kill you or keep quiet and shoot your enemies for you. Take your pick.
GOP in the recent past tried to move closer to India. Dem always liked Pakis more that GOP fellows comparatively. So GOP win may be a bit better for India with EJ negative. EJ will be there in Dem rule also anyway. As all of us here agree there may not be much change with any win or loss people in Khanland may want to give the Crazy fellow a chance like like Delhi people. At least there will be lot of entertainment. We all will at least enjoy in our misery.
HC to too stale and no entertainment and we may have to watch Telugu daily serials for that. So vote DT like Delhi voters and enjoy for 4 years.

On the serious side I agree with the last para of this article. We need to protect our interests whoever wins.

Rudra, could you please any info you have on Kaine? I think it is important for folks to know that. His anti India/Hindu stuff..Rudradev wrote:Another fun thing to consider. Hillary's public collapse on 9/11 has brought the focus back to her health. No one really knows how bad it is, and given the vast patronage networks of cover-up artists who surround her, it is unlikely anyone ever will. Tim Kaine is an avowed EJ who has participated enthusiastically in the anti-India, anti-Hindu propaganda campaign spearheaded by the USCIRF.
So for Bharat-Rakshaks, it's not just Clinton's close links to extreme ROP (Huma Abedin and Uzra Zeya) to be concerned about. She has an extreme ROL VP candidate in tow as well.

That and the following article ........SwamyG wrote:I doubt if Trump will do nothing about Islamic terrorism. Pakistan will be supported come what may. Obama droned the hell out of Pakistan, and yet they kept supporting it. Be it Dems or Rethugs, they have only so much say - the 'system' runs on auto-mode taking care of country's interests.
Stopping immigration of Muslims is going to be as far fetched as building the Mexican Wall and making Mexico pay for it. Yeah, right I own The Coovum River, anybody want to buy it? I am not greedy will sell it for $100 cash.
While we are at it (with bad stats and all), lead me to consider that Trump could use the terrorists to make Indians sell properties to him.
He has done it in the past with a couple of businesses, where he has bought enough stock and without saying a word situation-ally forced the company/ies to take on enormous debt to buy him out at well inflated prices.
Will be fun time.

Cant a american president be impeached if he acts like a real idiot .. business is one ..politics esp geopolitics is another .. he will just facilitate the rise of china if indeed he wins the election

Most certainly. Two items of interest.kit wrote:Cant a american president be impeached if he acts like a real idiot .. business is one ..politics esp geopolitics is another .. he will just facilitate the rise of china if indeed he wins the election
1) Even after he acted like a real idiot, he was nominated. So, what if he again acts like a real idiot, but delivers on millions of well paid jobs? No chance of impeachment
2) IF he does get impeached, the we see Mr. Pence ascend. He is slicker. My bet is he too gets impeached and Ryan gets to be president

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions III
Want to bring into this picture, what I consider, a parallel to Trumpism.
Bruce Rauner, the Governor of the great State of Illinois. Since 2015
Many, many similarities: Highly educated, very, very successful in business (hedge funds IIRC), multiple marriages, first time elected (vs. Trump first time nominated).
Rauner was elected on a certain platform (as all do) that did not sit well with the Democrates in Illinois, who have traditionally been very, very powerful.
Result: No budgets for 2 years in a row. The State is pretty much running on an empty tank: schools, universities, medical services, social services, state lottery, talk of it and every program across the board has been impacted. The State no longer sends reminders that your vehicle license plate sticker is about to expire - to save costs.
Life goes on. Everyone talks about it and no one cares.
You talk of paralysis, you can actually see it here in Illinois.
Trump will be right up there. He has no clue what a compromise is - just like Rauner. Businessmen who have never negotiated by compromising and have become rich beyond dreams. And have entered politics, where compromising is everything.

Why Experts Say a Donald Trump Presidency Could Benefit India
By Daniel Stacey
Aug 2, 2016 2:23 pm IST
A Donald Trump presidency could help India, according to a panel of India’s top strategic thinkers.
The businessman and television personality, known for his pledge to shake up the global status quo and “make America great again,” could help Indian business by squashing free-trade deals that disadvantage the South Asian nation and while also opening up a larger role for India’s military, speakers at a Brookings India event in Delhi said Monday.
Mr. Trump’s plan to make Asian allies pick up more of the slack for defense spending in the region would “open up a huge amount of space for India” in global affairs, said C. Raja Mohan, director of Carnegie India.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump’s opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership would also be a bonus for India, which never signed the deal, said Brookings India’s Harsh V. Singh. Mr. Trump says such deals disadvantage U.S. workers. Many Indian companies “would breathe a sigh of relief” if the trade deal, which favors signatories like Vietnam and Malaysia over India, was squashed, Mr. Singh said.
Mr. Trump has already sent jitters through the Asian security community by saying: “Many countries are not paying their fair share,” for U.S. military protection. By contrast his opponent Hillary Clinton, is seen as someone who would most likely leave relationships unchanged with major allies.
For India, which has no U.S. military bases on its soil, the prospect of life with a diminished American presence in east Asia and the Middle East would mean a sharpening of divisions in the region, but also allow it to expand its influence and invent a new global role for itself, said Mr. Mohan.
The changes could be as large as those that accompanied the withdrawal of the British military from the region post World War II, a shift that saw the birth of modern India in 1947, he said.
Still, if Mr. Trump wins office, he will likely withdraw U.S. support and investment for Indian renewable energy, the Hindustan Times’ Foreign Editor Pramit Pal Chaudhuri said. Protectionist policies could be “a disaster” for the global economy, triggering a spate of trade wars, Mr. Chaudhuri said.

Donald Trump's investments in India to impact US foreign policy: Report
WASHINGTON: Donald Trump's investments in real estate overseas, including in Indian cities of Pune and Gurgaon+ , could have implications on America's foreign policy if the Republican presidential nominee wins the elections+ and occupies the White House next January, a major US weekly said.
In its cover story on Trump's investments in properties overseas, the Newsweek on Wednesday said that as the Republican National Convention+ was about to get underway in July, the Trump Organization declared it was planning a massive expansion in the South Asian country.
"That is a chilling example of the many looming conflicts of interest in a Trump presidency," the weekly noted.
"If he plays tough with India, will the government assume it has to clear the way for projects in that 'aggressive pipeline' and kill the investigations involving Trump's Pune partners? And if Trump takes a hard line with Pakistan, will it be for America's strategic interests or to appease Indian government officials who might jeopardize his profits from Trump Towers Pune?" the weekly asked.
According to the weekly, several Indian political leaders including from the both BJP and the Congress have established close relationship with the Trump family as a result of its real estate investment in Pune and Gurgaon .
In India, the conflicts between the interests of the Trump Organization and American foreign policy are starker, Newsweek said.
Trump signed an agreement in 2011 with an Indian property developer called Rohan Lifescapes that wanted to construct a 65-storey building with his name on it. Leading the talks for Rohan was Kalpesh Mehta, a director of the company who would later become the exclusive representative of Trump's businesses in India, the weekly said.
However, government regulatory hurdles soon impeded the project, the cover story said adding that Donald Trump Jr flew to India to plead with Prithviraj Chavan, chief minister of Maharashtra, asking that he remove the hurdles. But Chavan refused to make an exception for the Trump Organization.
"It would be extremely difficult for a foreign politician to make that call if he were speaking to the son of the president of the United States," Newsweek said.
"Last month, scandal erupted over the development, called Trump Towers Pune, after the state government and local police started looking into discrepancies in the land records suggesting that the land on which the building was constructed may not have been legally obtained by Panchshil," it said.
The Indian company says no rules or laws were broken, but if government officials conclude otherwise, the project's future will be in jeopardy — and create a problem that Indian politicians eager to please an American president might have to resolve, Newsweek observed.
Through the Pune deal, the weekly said the Trump Organization has developed close ties to India's Nationalist Congress Party.

While F-35 which was peddled by pimps on this forum is unfortunately still under development :
The decision affecting the most expensive weapons system ever was made "due to the discovery of peeling and crumbling insulation in avionics cooling lines inside the fuel tanks," the Air Force said in a statement, describing the action as a temporary pause in flight operations."
"While nearing completion, the F-35 is still in development and challenges are to be expected," the Air Force said.

Trump Vs Hillary: Who should India vote for?
HmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmThe biggest fear in India from the uncertainty stemming from the US elections, is a breakdown of the known global order. Apprehensions about a global economic super power, like the US, adopting protectionist measures, is the new fear that has aligned with concerns over stricter immigration and tight trade flows.
In a way, these fears are in line with the “heightened uncertainty” that a Citi research recently brought to the fore, warning of slower economic growth in the US with a Donald Trump victory, and of an easing in the slackness if Hillary Clinton stays on with President Obama’s policies.
But the sharp change in economic policies, as the world has known, is what has observers concerned. “While there is a wide gap in popularity in favor of Hillary Clinton over that of the Republican nominee Donald Trump, it also needs to be said that the US population is fed up of established politics. That is the chord that (Republican nominee) Donald Trump has struck. A Hillary presidency will need to recognise this reality. This could lead to protectionism and inward looking policies even by a democratic administration. Such protectionist measures will be worrying for Indian business,” says Vikram Singh Mehta, chairman of Brookings India and senior fellow Brookings Institution.
The concerns come even as trade leaders from the two countries are scheduled to meet in India next week to promote Indo US synergy in joint ventures, co-development, co-production and technology transfer, crucial to reach the targeted $500 billion US trade. The Indo-US trade is worth more than $100 billion today and the US is already India’s largest defense partner with $13 billion worth of sales. But then India also needs $1.6 trillion worth of investment by 2025 to grow at more than 8%; to develop sectors like technology, infrastructure services, aerospace and defense, areas that hinge majorly on US collaboration.
The specifics point toward an initial negative impact with either Clinton or Trump in power. “A Republican victory can dilute the strengths of Europe which can affect Indian IT services,” said Akhil Awasthi, managing partner with Tata Capital, a financial services company with the Tata group. “With Clinton in office, the dollar may not be perceived strong and that has its own implications,” he added.
Indian business is already grappling with the impact of losing established IT and auto business with Europe as most Europe-looking Indian companies based their businesses in the UK, which has recently voted to leave the EU. Indian businesses also have to contend with the fact that an inward looking Washington will not help matters related to disputes on Indian imports of solar panels and on visa fees hikes by the US.
The corollary impact from related geopolitical developments could however work in favor of India. Brookings’ Mehta points at how China has adopted a hard stance over the dispute on the South China Seas. “It (China) has rejected The Hague tribunal judgement. China is also losing its competitive edge. Real wage rates have risen sharply. All this could work to India’s advantage if on one hand the new administration pivots strategically towards India and on the other, US business look to India as a new manufacturing hub. Much will depend on how effectively our PM is able to translate his vision regards “ease of doing business” into reality.”
Between the two, Hillary Clinton is seen as more favorable for India. A poll by the Pew Research Center released in June had found that 28% of Indians had confidence in Clinton’s ability to handle world affairs, while 16% did not. In comparison, only 14% had confidence in Trump in contrast to 18% who did not.
A Bloomberg report said that under a Clinton presidency, which the Citi research put at a 60% likelihood, an economic drag may be eased “if it becomes clear that she will resume the Obama policies.”
But consultants who have worked on Indian US business deals say things can eventually be resolved between two of the world’s largest democracies. “While there is some amount of uncertainty, once elections are over, clarity will make things better. US is a strong democracy and at the end of the day, whoever assumes office, will work to keep it that way,” said Shashank Tripathi, partner, leader PwC strategy and India. “We are not overly dependent on exports as are other countries like Malaysia and China, who grew over the years with their focus on manufacturing exports. I think our collaboration with the US in defense will continue. There could be a marginal slowdown in IT services,” Tripathi added.

The Clintons' Quarter-Century Record on India.
1993: Clinton’s close friend and Assistant Secretary of State Robin Raphel plays a major role in creating Hurriyat Conference.
1993: After the Mumbai blasts, the US State Dept. and the FBI destroyed key evidence of timers and detonators recovered by India's investigators which were made by the US and sold to Pakistan. This was key evidence equivalent to the recovery of timers used to destroy Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
2000: Clinton claimed that during his visit that Indian Army had killed Sikhs in J&K.

The Clintons literally have the blood of Indians on their hands.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions III
The big misunderstanding is that people think a person or party is pro or anti India. They are just pro-US. Rest maya onlee. For the first time India has a leader who has the will to place India's interests foremost.

The same well-wishers tell us that we no need to test Thermonukes as US has come down from megatons to 475 kt. So why we need to go up from 20 kt to 500 kt?

They also take offense very quickly, but yawn and brush aside the list posted by Shri Rudradev ji.
They even say Trump is so bad that when he becomes president he will arm twist Bharat to use subkilo ton warheads in kashmir.

They also say no need to worry about sanctions on platforms bought from US, as US doesn't put sanctions on nations without a good reason.

Trump tricks media into covering his event by promising 'major announcement'

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has outraged the media after he duped them into broadcasting an infomercial for his new hotel on the pretext of a 'major announcement' to get more than 20 minutes of free air-time.
Not only CNN but also all the major networks showed Trump's event at his newly inaugurated Trump International Hotel in Washington DC as pro-Trump military members started speaking.
Ahead of the event, Trump had hyped over Fox News that he would be making a major announcement about the 'birther' controversy of the US President Barack Obama.
All the news networks -- CNN, MSNBC, and Fox -- started carrying the event live.
They kept on waiting for 20 minutes waiting for Trump to speak on the birther controversy. It was not before 20 minutes that the news networks apparently realised that they have been taken for a ride once again.
'We got played, again, by the Trump campaign, which is what they do,' CNN's chief national correspondent John King said after the news channel showed live the GOP nominee for nearly 20 minutes waiting for the major announcement coming from Trump.
'He got a live event broadcast for some 20 minutes,' King said.

Upto a certain extent, you are correct. However, Clinton is bad bad bad. If that leader has to spend time energy in fighting the problems like the Bharat enemy clintons make a habit of doing, then there will be less growth of Bharat.
If that leader doesn't need to spend that much energy and time as the president of that country is busy fighting 1.6 billion peacefuls and cheen than there will be more growth of Bharat.

Par for the course for Trump. He has employed this, his Father's tactic, for eons. All publicity is good publicity.Mort Walker wrote:Trump has to use asymmetric media warfare to go against the left wing biases.
The other tactic, taught to him by his lawyer, hit back harder than you were hit.

I did the standard google research and wrote it 6 years ago. Most of the material is from before Clinton times.
One can take the horse to the water onlee. In the game of electoral victories and personal dislikes and likes; one is free to cast the blame on one candidate or a party. So be it. But the danger is when those likes and dislikes create cherry picked points - however well written - overshadows the underlying problems between two countries.

I have not seen this posted before here. But my understanding is that this blog is operated by a group of people including Satya Dosapati (Indian National Overseas Congress had filed a $100 Million defamation against him and lost I think).
This is a growing list of articles cataloguing Billary and associates' various actions against India/Hindu.

Hillary Clinton leaves a trail of bigotry, corruption, lies, criminality through her 30 year career in Politics. Clintons have been virulently anti-India for a quarter century and this should be of concern to Indian Americans who have strong ties to their country of their origin. Indian Americans should take note of her strong Islamic connections with millions that poured from Islamic nations into Clinton Foundation, Huma Abedin a half Pakistani Origin woman closest to her who could potentially create a wall to access her. If elected President, Hillary will become ‘Sonia Gandhi’ of USA and do to this nation what Sonia Gandhi and her family did to India. It is tragic that a woman has to have such poor record to become a President and she will serve as a very bad example to all women of this country who aspire for the highest and the prestigious Office.

HC is EJist at the very top, look at her VP choice.Yagnasri wrote:It is like this - HC is will surely to shoot you in the head, and DT may be half crazy or a highly cunning fox who may kill or not kill you or keep quiet and shoot your enemies for you. Take your pick.![]()
We all will at least enjoy in our misery.HC to too stale and no entertainment and we may have to watch Telugu daily serials for that. So vote DT like Delhi voters and enjoy for 4 years.

that blog has the background with links, videos & more, adding to the earlier list quoted here by RD ji.
Indic PIO folks must slowly & surely get this whole list of links/videos out into their respective PIO groups (whatsapp, twitter, googlegroups & what not).
Just present the facts & let people make heads or tails of it in their own minds. Remember the concept of the movie Runaway Jury. Look disinterested, yet present your pov.
Hillary may look enticing for the shortterm for some PIOs but she is going to be a disaster in the longterm for mother civilization if her cabal completely gains power by landing presidentship.
This election is being too acrimoniously fought and a much larger % people are circumspect in acknowledging their real voting preference publicly - as they fear of being shamed for it.So there is some truth in DT camp claim that "silent majority" are with DT - especially the white anglo saxon males. Even men who claim themselves as democrats are having sympathies with trumps revolt against liberal dictatorship of past few decades perpetually emasculating them.
Trump has targeted Islamists(and waging of overseas wars for their ends), illegal immigation , globalization & freetrade subliminally linking them all to loss of jobs in USA to overseas.
DT's subconscious brahmastra is his targeting of the feminist project to emasculate USA as backed by the liberals & media - in the last stretch he will put it into words & say it - it will be his trump card(sry for the pun).
If PIOs want DT to win they must water this real fear in the white anglo saxon male where ever they are able to.
So dont just limit just to PIOs & give some push to the white males too - they will be more open when a minority(subconsciously seen as an outsider - hence unbiased) guy points it out.
