mentally ill minorities in the US like to hit, knock out, assault, rape, rob white women. it's the thing to do.
the Turk Muslim killed 4 of them in a Macy's store. plus one random male.
also quite popular is killing south Asian clerks in convenience stores.
a liberal is a person who hasn't been mugged, raped, or had a ghetto beat down yet.

funny thing is sympathy of US MSM lies always with the perpetrator than the victim in these cases.TSJones wrote:mentally ill minorities in the US like to hit, knock out, assault, rape, rob white women. it's the thing to do.

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions III
In my Facebook wall, I occasionally see posts of "US Consulate General Chennai" is doing part of their outreach program. Some of the things I have seen are
1) US State department (and allied) folks meeting Indian students and Indian NGOs
2) US Consulate General organizing seminars on how US protects human (minority) rights
3) "Study in USA" seminars
I am assuming all US Consulates and Embassies will do similar things. Does anyone know if other embassies also do similar "outreach" programs?
Additionally I also know about a certain "someone", who is a journalist, being sponsored to a few US programs. One was a "fellowship" program from a non-profit media institute and another from the state department about "International Visitor Leadership Programme" - https://eca.state.gov/ivlp
I think I get it that these programs help US in long term from a soft power standpoint.
But any thoughts from you all on how these things help US tactically?

LC,
Stats is a dangerous game.
That table does not refer to race distribution. This topic had been there for decades. Obama had addressed this issue as it specifically applies to afro-americans, very early in his first term. And he has not brought it up since. Tell you something.
Black life matter specifically addresses law enforcement dealings with afro-Americans. Which is not the same as black on black incidents. IMHO both are equally serious problems that need to be addressed.

. We are missing the forest for the trees. White on White crime is more than Black on Black crime....
Anyway you cut it, the fact is there are more white perps against white women. It should be pretty obvious as to why. Also the numbers faaar exceed any other race, again pretty obvious.
Racism and selective memory goes deeep in our psyche. It does not matter who does the killing, the women are dead, or raped or injured. That is the problem. Punishing the "minority" or making laws that enforce bigotted beliefs (such as that was spewed on here) wont really resolve it.
Anyway this is all very OT topic on India US rel (it really has nothing to do with India).

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions III
Guys, before I post anything false and give it publicity, is it true that latest US state department issued an equal equal statement about Uri, saying some crap about "both sides" resolve issues bilaterally. And there was no mention of Uri attack by Pakis? If true, where does that leave ModiJi's gambit to isolate TSP? I mean as Amarullah Saleh eloquently pointed out, India, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh isolating TSP is not going to hurt TSP RAPE, unless Uncle and his lackeys join in, it won't inflict the requisite pain (of course, that India must revoke MFN, label TSP a terror state, co-opt Afghanistan and BD to boycott SAARC or throw TSP out etc are necessary however minuscule the effect). Not that even if US mentioned TSP by name, it would make a huge difference, but at least TSP RAPE who crave for equal equal would have been embarrassed. But with US doing the customary equal equal, even that is off the table.
One legal question, and Perkowich alluded to this. Given that TSP attacked Indian army in Uri and not a civilian target, can that attack be technically termed a "terrorist" attack? Does western media, in particular Uncle's mouthpieces like Fox/CNN describe the TSP attack that took out CIA officers a while back as a terrorist attack? Ditto the attack by TSP-sponsored Talibunnies that took out some honchos from the elite Navy seal unit that got OBL? Did CNN/Fox refer to that as a terrorist attack? I can't recall.
But one thing for sure. TSP's tactical gambit, like many others before failed, although they have managed to cover their arses pretty well to launch another attack in the future. Namely, first, they orchestrated the so called Kashmir intifada culminating in the post Wani unrest fueled in part by Indian traitors. When that did not elicit Uncle and his white lackeys' attention, they pulled off Uri with the hope that whites will sing "nuclear flash-point". That too did not pass. So now we are back with the usual equal equal circus until the next attack.

When you even make up news about mental condition of terrorists to create spin that it is not Islam but guns, you lost the plot. Now you are in your own world lying, cheating, and spinning. You are no different than FOX news or Breitbart or Drudge report. Where does this stop? The media meltdown we are gobbling popcorn to right now is the result of two key phenomena – we normals have grown tired of the media elite’s lies, and today’s technology allows us to ignore the people who would presume to tell us what we can and cannot know. As the walls collapse around the few remaining information gates and we barbarians bypass them, gatekeeper gigs are becoming as rare as jobs for millennials with masters degrees in Feminist Interpretive Dance.
Now you media creeps are finding yourself ignored and irrelevant as America proceeds to do whatever the hell it pleases whether you like it or not. We don’t need you; we can and will get our information by ourselves. How I yearn to fill a hot tub with the salty, sweet tears of a thousand so-called journalists who decided to put their money down on progressive ideology instead on objectivity and public service. You just crapped out. That’s what you get when you always bet on hack.
Let’s savor their pain. Imagine yourself coming out of some university where you were reliably liberal and sucked-up to your pinko professors. You nodded eagerly whenever anyone said “global warming,” and you shook your head in horror whenever someone said “Men can’t have babies.” You got a job at some prominent newspaper or mainstream network, dutifully parroting the party line with perfect precision, awaiting the day when you would finally reach a level of power where you could not merely lie about and distort the news, but to actually control the news.

Just a bunch of pompous, boring, nobodies without reputations, without respect, without futures.
We’re laughing at you.

Not when normalized by their respective population percentages - in fact quite far from it. Certain racial and religious minorities (not all, only particular ones) are way overrepresented in crime stats in the US and many other countries. Not sure what purpose is served by papering over this fact....it might be more useful to discuss if discrimination or social conditioning could be the underlying reason.LokeshC wrote: White on White crime is more than Black on Black crime....

In one way, it’s not surprising that Democrats are beside themselves at the possibility of a Trump presidency. They’ve spent the last 100 years expanding the scope of executive authority, granting the federal administrative agencies the power of judge, jury, and executioner over their ever-widening dominion. If liberals and progressives didn’t want that awesome, intrusive power to fall into the wrong hands, perhaps they should have heeded the warnings of small-government conservatives, who railed for a century against the bloat, rot, and corruption they saw metastasizing within the District of Columbia
Writing in the Los Angeles Times, James Kirchick floated the possibility of a military coup to remove a President Trump from office: “Trump is not only patently unfit to be president, but a danger to America and the world.” Following the July military coup in Turkey, New York Daily News columnist and Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King tweeted that, “If Donald Trump becomes President, you are fooling yourself if you think we’re far from having a coup our own selves. I’m dead serious.”
Democrats always paint the Republican presidential candidate as evil. They believed George W. Bush to be an ignorant buffoon, but that wasn’t enough to disqualify him, so they attacked him as a racist who, in Kanye West’s words “doesn’t care about black people.” Anathematizing John McCain was harder, given his long career as the maverick Republican that Democrats could point to and say, “Why can’t they all be like him?” The fact that he was a genuine American hero didn’t stop liberal media pundits and bloggers from implying that he was “dangerous and unstable,” a “divisive, untrustworthy, and even dangerous figure,” and that he suffered from an ongoing case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Mitt Romney was easily caricatured as an out-of-touch businessman, but successfully painting him as a hater of women took effort. They had to bend over backward to declare him even “more extreme” than Bush on so-called women’s issues. They ran ads suggesting that he had caused a woman’s death.

US not convinced by India’s Uri terror attack evidence against Pakistan’
The reported developments were shared in an article published by The Express Tribune today. The article reads, "As Pakistan and India once again locked horns for a possible military conflict in the wake of the September 18 Uri attack, the US is believed to have been quietly pushing New Delhi to take the military option off the table.
The article mentions that the US was urging India to resolve the issue diplomatically and politically, warning that any military conflict would not serve either side. It also read that Pakistan has conveyed to the US that it does not wish to escalate tensions, but will hit back at "military adventurism" from India.
The article further claimed, "One Pakistani official privy to America's backchannel efforts revealed that Washington was not convinced with the Indian claim that Islamabad had a direct role in the Uri assault that left 18 Indian soldiers dead."

WTO is dead after the arrival of TTIP and TPP. China is annoyed as a consequence. All the investments since their entry in 2001 counts to nothing.
And now the Chinks have joined the SDR. Matter of time when that becomes of even lesser consequence. China will be even more livid.

Clinton Remains on the Attack
In the first 15 minutes of this debate, it is Mrs. Clinton on the attack against Mr. Trump. She has taken shots at his wealth, his position on climate change and his proposed economic policy.
Mr. Trump, in appearing to be present himself as presidential, has avoided the sort of slashing personal attacks against her that he uses with great frequency in campaign speeches.
Instead Mr. Trump is delivering his gloomy message of an America decimated by outsourcing and arguing that Mrs. Clinton is a creature of the past – reminding the audience that she has been around “for 30 years” without solving the problems he is discussing.

Clinton Pivots to an Attack on Trump's Remark on Housing Crisis
Mrs. Clinton gets a chance to respond, pivoting directly to an attack on Mr. Trump's remarks on the 2008-2009 housing crisis.
"Donald was one of the people who rooted for the Housing crisis," Mrs. Clinton said. "He said back in 2006, gee, I hope it does collapse because then I can go in and buy some and make some money," Mrs. Clinton said.
He retorted back, "That's called business" but let her finish her answer.
She rattles off a list of statistics about the housing crisis: 9 million people lost their jobs, 5 million people lost their homes and $13 trillion in family wealth was lost.

On Middle Class Taxes
Mrs. Clinton said Mr. Trump's tax plan would raise taxes on some middle-class families. She's right, based on the details of the plan he outlined.
That's because he would repeal the personal exemption and head-of-household filing status, which provides a larger standard deduction for single parents than for single individuals.
The result could mean tax increases for nearly eight million households with children, according to a new paper by Lily Batchelder, a New York University law professor and a former aide to Mr. Obama.
Mr. Trump’s campaign has responded by saying that he would ensure that no household faces higher tax bills or that families could choose to remain in today’s tax system. Either choice would make his tax cut—already reducing federal revenue collections by 10% over a decade—even bigger.

Early Sparring Over Trade and Financial Crisis
Hillary Clinton takes Donald Trump’s attack on trade policy by defending the principle of trade.
“We are 5% of the world’s population. We have to trade with the other 95%,” she says.
Donald Trump claims that other countries are cheating and threatens to impose tariffs, which is something his advisers in recent days have said would be imposed only as a last resort.
Hillary Clinton then turns to hitting on Donald Trump’s role in cheering on the housing bubble.
Mr. Trump interrupts: “That’s called business by the way.”

Battle of Spin Begins
Four minutes into the debate, and the battle of spin between the two campaigns has begun. Team Clinton and Team Trump are out of the gate with dueling emails making the case for each of the candidates.
The Trump campaign weighed in first, with a release headlined, “The middle class has disappeared under the Clinton-Obama economy.” The Clinton campaign followed two minutes later with an email saying, “Clinton’s economic vision will make us stronger together” and links to her economic proposals.

Mr. Trump followed with his first attack on Mrs. Clinton – arguing that she is responsible for jobs being outsourced because she has been in public life for decades.

Clinton Refers to Trump's Loan From His Father
Mrs. Clinton's reference to Mr. Trump starting his business with $14 million in loans. She's referring to this story we had the other day about the ways that Mr. Trump's father helped him with his business.
First Question to Clinton: Why Are You a Better Choice Than Trump?
The first question is about jobs and it goes to Ms. Clinton. She is asked directly why she would be a better choice that Mr. Trump. Mrs. Clinton opens with a crisp, detailed list of policy proposals while also connecting the need to grow the economy with her own family's future.
"The central question in this election is really what kind of country we want to be and what kind of future we'll build together," she says, noting it's her granddaughter's second birthday.
She starts with a proposal to build new jobs — "good jobs," she says — as well as making the economy "fairer," proposing equal pay, paid family leave, earned sick days, pay and profit sharing are among them. "I want us to invest in you. I want us to invest in your future," Mrs. Clinton says.
She concludes with a plea about the stakes of the election. "You have to judge us — who can shoulder the immense, awesome responsibilities of the presidency?" she says. "I hope that I will be able to earn your vote on Nov. 8."
