Pak SC disqualifies Sharif as PM
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was on Friday disqualified from office by the Supreme Court which sent his case to an anti-corruption court for trial in the Panamagate graft scandal.
In a unanimous verdict, the Supreme Court ordered that a case be registered against Sharif and ruled that a reference be sent against him and his family to an accountability court.
The court also ordered the National Accountability Bureau to wrap up the case within six weeks.
The 67-year-old prime minister was additionally disqualified from holding his office. The judges ruled that the prime minister had been dishonest to Parliament and the courts and could not be deemed fit for his office.
The verdict was announced by the original five-member bench that heard the landmark case from January this year.
The bench comprises Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, and Justice Ijazul Ahsan.
The verdict was read out by Justice Khan in the crowded courtroom 1 of the Supreme Court in Islamabad.
The scandal is about alleged money laundering by Sharif in 1990s, when he twice served as prime minister, to purchase assets in London. The assets surfaced when Panama Papers leak last year revealed that they were managed through offshore companies owned by Sharif's children.
The assets include four expensive flats in London. Sharif has been the prime minister of Pakistan for a record three time.
He leads Pakistan's most powerful political family and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party.
A steel tycoon-cum-politician, Sharif had served as the Pakistan's prime minister for the first time from 1990 to 1993. His second term from 1997 was ended in 1999 by Army chief Pervez Musharraf in a bloodless coup.

Exactly! Army will coronate the next fellow who will do their bidding; at the minimum leave the India and Afghanistan agendas to the boys. This is a no-operation from our PoV. The only thing we could do is to lend some support to Nawaz which could be cashed in later if/when he returns to power. This could be rather powerful - if we are able to bring the bulk of their politicians into India-friendly compromising positions, it will give the army a headache.

No matter who sits on the sh*tpot "throne" of Pak,the SC ruling is indeed historic. It offers the beleaguered common man of Pak a glimmer of hope that the high and mighty who have ruined their land will one day be brought to book .Let's hope the Indian SC/judiciary which has been for the most a model to be looked upon globally, with earlier historic judgements like the unseating of Mrs. G., offer their Paki counterparts moral support. Even those generals who strut around in uniform in Pak must have felt a little shiver up their spines. Gen.Mush-a-Rat,the old bandicoot, was plagued with cases against him, esp. being responsible for Bibi Bhutto's murder.

As far as we are concerned, let's enjoy the show! More chaos in Paki style mobocracy makes it more difficult for them to wage war against us.Pak and its despot, corrupt rulers both in and out of uniform, are doing splendid work in the disintegration of their failed state.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan is ordered removed
2017-07-28 13:01:45 0 335

Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Friday ordered the removal of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office over accusations of corruption, delivering a historic ruling that is likely to shift the country’s tumultuous political balance and deal a serious blow to the legacy of a man who helped define the past generation of Pakistani politics.

The removal of Mr. Sharif, who was serving his third term in office, comes roughly a year before his term was to end.

The verdict means the governing political party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, must choose an interim prime minister to replace Mr. Sharif until the next general election, which is scheduled for mid-2018.

Announced by the five-member Supreme Court, the verdict caps more than a year of high political drama, breathless court proceedings and a piercing investigation into the finances of the Sharif family.

Watching the courtroom drama was the country’s powerful military, which has traditionally decided the fate of civilian governments. There had been hushed speculation that the court, in coming to its decision, had the tacit, if not overt, backing of powerful generals.

The charges against Mr. Sharif and three of his children — two sons and a daughter — stemmed from disclosures last year in the Panama Papers, which revealed that the children owned expensive residential property in London through a string of offshore companies. In their ruling on Friday, the justices also ordered the opening of criminal investigations against the Sharif family.

Imran Khan, the opposition politician who has been spearheading the campaign against Mr. Sharif since he took power in 2013, stands to gain the most politically from the removal of Mr. Sharif. Mr. Khan has doggedly and almost obsessively led the charge against Mr. Sharif and rallied a wide swath of the public against him through a mix of street agitation and court petitions.

The Supreme Court had asked the members of the Sharif family to provide a paper trail of the money they used to buy their London apartments. Investigators found that they were “living beyond their means.”

Despite repeated court exhortations, Mr. Sharif’s family and its lawyers failed to provide satisfactory documentation, the justices said. Several of the documents they produced were declared fake or insufficient.

Mr. Sharif has called the inquiry into his family’s finances a conspiracy and has asserted that in his three terms as prime minister he has not been tarred by a major corruption scandal. He repeatedly rebuffed calls to resign and said that he had done no wrong.

The ruling, while expected, leaves unanswered the long-term fate of the man who has been a dominating force in Pakistani politics for the better part of three decades.

“I did not expect Nawaz Sharif to go scot-free,” said Hasan Askari Rizvi, a prominent political analyst who is based in Lahore.

“If he has a long-term vision, he will sit back and guide his political party,” Mr. Rizvi added. “He and his supporters will portray the court verdict as victimization and a grave conspiracy involving international powers.”

Mr. Sharif’s removal from office throws his political succession plans into disarray. His daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who was being groomed as his political heir, was also implicated in the case.

Political insiders say there are several possible contenders to replace Mr. Sharif: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the speaker of the national assembly; Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the minister of petroleum; Khurram Dastgir Khan, the commerce minister; and Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the defense minister.

“Whoever they bring will be a weak prime minister, as Nawaz Sharif would want to have someone who is more or less in line with his thinking,” Mr. Rizvi said.

Mr. Khan’s supporters had laid siege to the Parliament and other government buildings in 2014 after accusing Mr. Sharif of rigging the 2013 general elections. Another attempt to blockade the capital in 2016 was unsuccessful, but it forced the Supreme Court justices to take up the Panama Papers case.

After the Supreme Court reserved judgment on the case on July 21, Mr. Khan on Wednesday urged the court to announce a verdict without delay.

“The whole country is at a standstill due to the Panama Papers case,” Mr. Khan said. Critics said Mr. Khan was pressuring the courts.

Political analysts say the court verdict hands Mr. Khan an undeniable political and moral victory.

“Imran Khan will be strengthened, but it remains to be seen how he capitalizes in Punjab Province, which is critical to winning the general elections,” Mr. Rizvi said. Punjab, the most populous and prosperous of the country’s four provinces, has remained a stronghold of Mr. Sharif for decades.

Mr. Sharif presided over a period of relative economic stability and was able to complete a few large infrastructure projects while reducing the crippling power outages that have long afflicted Pakistan.

But the stubborn scandal over the London real estate holdings sullied the reputation of the family.

Mr. Sharif’s political party nonetheless hopes that his achievements can bring it another electoral success next year even if Mr. Sharif cannot run for office. Mr. Sharif is expected to campaign for his party.

During his current tenure, Mr. Sharif had an uneven relationship with the powerful military. His overtures of more openness toward India, Pakistan’s longtime foe, backfired as generals spurned his efforts.

More recently, relations with the military took a darker turn after news reports detailed how civilian officials confronted the military over what they called a failure to act against Islamist groups. Mr. Sharif had to fire his information minister and two top aides to placate the army.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, said the Panama Papers ruling was “a real test of our system.”

Some predicted a politically volatile time ahead.

“Until the elections, this will lead to a period of political instability,” Amber Rahim Shamsi, a prominent journalist who hosts a show on Dawn TV, said of the verdict.

“The Sharif political dynasty has somehow managed to survive Pakistan’s rough and bloody politics for over three and a half decades through wheeling and dealing,” Ms. Shamsi said. “It is hard to imagine all the family falling like a pack of cards. Nawaz Sharif has a following and could cash in on political martyrdom to stage a comeback.” (nytimes)

PS:What is most sugary sweet is that the "Sheriff" of Pak,who's just lost his star, was preening himself in Male as chief guest in another dictatorship which must also be dumped into the sea asap.
It must also come as agreat disappointment to the Maldivian dictator, who's been expecting Pak to come to its aid against India. Time perhaps for another Op Cactus what to restore democracy in a most sensitive part of our backyard?

Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif steps down after supreme court find him guilty, disqualifies him from public office
NEW DELHI: Pakistan's supreme court on Friday found Nawaz Sharif guilty in the Panama Papers case+ and disqualified him from holding public office in a unanimous verdict. Sharif quit shortly after.
The PM stepped down from his post "despite reservations", according to the PM house, reported Pakistani media.
The Pakistan supreme court also ordered a case be filed against Sharif.
Because he is head of the ruling party, Sharif will still be able to nominate his successor, reported Pakistani media.
Pakistan's national assembly will vote on the candidate Sharif chooses, but it is likely that candidate will win, because Sharif's party, the PML (N), has a strong majority.
The most likely candidates being touted are Sharif's brother Shahbaz, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, lawmaker Ahsan Iqbal and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, speculated Pakistani media.
......
For Pakistan there is a difference who the Indian PM is, MMS or Modi. For India the difference between Mussy, Bald Badmas, Benazir, Cricketer-man or any one else is that between Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Finally the survivor Ganja is shown the door! What the army couldn't accomplish, Puki Judiciary has done (even if the ruling is proved to be influenced by their fauj, for their aam abdul there is a difference). The current confusion in Pukiland is a God sent opportunity for India. Hope the concerned agencies and institutions make full use of this opportunity to aggressively pursue things that would be in our interests.

1. It would be great if we work with our friends in Washington to ensure a reasonable person succeeds NS. At the very minimum, whichever benami NS puts on that seat should be read the riot act in no uncertain terms. Ensure that Kaaptan (who is just an army puppet head) doesnt become PM.

2. Use this opportunity to ensure that enough hard messages are sent on the ground to prevent any infiltration in Kashmir before onset of winter.

3. Ensure that diplomatic offensive is in full gear against Pukis.

4. Put Afghan policy on overdrive.

For our political leadership, it is a great opportunity to assess the quality of inputs RAW is providing. Let us see if we (RAW) can atleast predict accurately who would become next PM of Pukiland.

While it is not possible in Pak for PM to exert overt influence over Army, there are enough institutional strength in terms of appointments, ambassadors, trade policies, international diplomacy, etc., that gives significant room for PM. A right street smart person in PM seat who can demonstrate spine against Army can and will make some difference.

An inefficient dimwit in the hot seat, can accelerate Pakis's ongoing economic and social development suicide.

MMS - under the thumb of the Pizza Woman who followed the Sickulr Lobby - freed 25 militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and JeM on May 28, 2010 as part of the Manmohan Singh government's effort to repair ties with Pakistan.

Here is the Article :

Crackdown on Online Criticism Chills Pakistani Social Media
NYT article
The law, the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, was widely promoted as a tool to punish internet activity by banned militant groups and curb online sexual harassment. But in recent months it has increasingly been used to crack down on those who have gone online with criticism of the government and, particularly, the military.
Civil rights advocates, as well as people directly targeted by the authorities, have described actions that included harassment, intimidation, and detention without access to lawyers or family members. In a few cases, physical abuse of those in custody was reported.
“Many journalists and activists — especially young people who ask important questions or say critical things on Facebook or Twitter — they are going quiet, thinking they can be arrested, or worse,” said Shahzad Ahmad, a director of Bytes for All Pakistan.
The internet crackdown is happening while the country’s military establishment has been exerting its influence more broadly over media outlets, the courts and politics, even as it has enjoyed widespread popularity with the public. Now, the military seems to feel increasingly empowered to root out even small-scale criticism.
Under the electronic crimes law, investigations are carried out by the Federal Investigation Agency. The agency says it does not monitor, but only follows up on complaints from the Interior Ministry or, more often, from the military and its feared spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence, or I.S.I.
The I.S.I. has long been accused of using intimidation, torture and extrajudicial killings against suspected militants, dissidents and journalists. Now it is also able to move indirectly, through the new cybercrimes law and the investigation agency, against dissent, according to officials and rights advocates.
In May alone, the F.I.A. began investigating more than 200 social media accounts and summoned at least 21 users for questioning about “anti-military posts.
Rights activists say that the episode gave authorities renewed confidence to go after dissenters ever more openly, culminating in a public announcement in May by the interior minister that criticism of the security forces was forbidden and would be punished.
“Officials now realized what an excellent tool they had in their hands to control political expression,” said Mr. Ahmad of Bytes for All Pakistan.
Mr. Shafique, the head of the Federal Investigation Agency’s cybercrime section, would not comment on specific cases. But he made it clear that posts disrespectful of Pakistan’s armed forces would not be tolerated.“Freedom of expression within limits is a right, but using abusive language against sacred institutions — that makes a crime,” he said.
AoA. Martiallaw!! Just like old times. 1400 years old times.

Thirteen "Small And Big" Facts About Nawaz Sharif

Panamagate Case - The Last Straw For Nawaz Sharif?
On Friday, Nawaz Sharif was disqualified as Prime Minister of Pakistan following the Supreme Court's verdict on the Panamagate case. Furthermore, with this decision, no Pakistani PM has completed a five-year term. Prior to the Panama Papers leak in 2016, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was involved in multiple corruption scandals starting in 1993.Here are 13 facts about Nawaz Sharif who stepped down at Prime Minister of Pakistan on Friday:
-Sharif was part of a family business involved in steel, sugar and textile industries prior to joining politics
-He was appointed as Pakistan’s finance minister in 1981
-He got elected as Chief Minister of Punjab Province, Pakistan
-He was sworn in as Prime Minister of Pakistan on November 6, 1990
-Corruption allegations were leveled against Sharif by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan leading to his dismissal on April 18, 1993. This came after Sharif’s family-owned business grew exponentially during his tenure. However, the Supreme Court lifted all charges against Sharif shortly after.
-In February 1997 he got re-elected as Prime Minister. However, Sharif faced resistance yet again and was overthrown by Army General Pervez Musharraf in 1999.
-In 2000, Sharif was sentenced to life imprisonment and an additional 14-years imprisonment as he was convicted of terrorism, hijacking, corruption, and failure to declare assets and pay taxes.
-From 2000-2007 he was in exile in Saudi Arabia
-Although he was supposed to serve a 10-year-exile, in 2007 Pakistan SC lifted the exile imposed on him
-Sharif then began to make his place in the government in 2008 and by 2009 all charges against him were dropped.
-According to the Pakistani constitution, Prime Ministers can only serve for two terms, however, President Asif Zardari diluted this law due to which Sharif ran for the post for the third time.
-Nawaz Sharif got elected as Prime Minister of Pakistan on June 5, 2014.
-2016 Panama Papers Leak revealed that Nawaz Sharif's family holds millions of dollars worth of property and companies in the UK, and around the world.
IMO, his main ambition was to make lots of money for his extended family - in which he succeeded ! collateral beneficiaries, if any, were the "Awaam" of Pakiland !

Not a single PM completed five-year term in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Will history repeat itself? Not a single prime minister in Pakistan has been allowed to complete his tenure since the country’s inception 70 years ago. All eyes are on the Supreme Court which is to announce one of the most important decisions of Pakistan’s history today regarding the fate of democratically-elected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. History might repeat itself.

The political situation in Pakistan has had a bumpy ride ever since 1947, as four times democratic governments were thrown away by military dictators, one prime minister was murdered while another was hanged by judiciary, while many were sent home by presidents and one was dismissed by the Supreme Court. Another one awaits a decision of the apex court. However, never in the history of Pakistan, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has sent home a PM under Article 184-3 of the constitution which is the suo moto jurisdiction.

Pakistan’s first prime minister was murdered in Rawalpindi on October 16, 1951. He had assumed the charge of the premier on August 15, 1947. Then the second PM Khawaja Nazimuddin was sent home by Governor General Ghulam Muhammad on April 17, 1953. Nazimuddin knocked the doors of the Supreme Court where Justice Munir had to invent the doctrine of necessity to validate Ghulam Muhammad’s illegal act. Then came Muhammad Ali Bogra who too was dismissed by Ghulam Muhammad in 1954 but later was again appointed as PM but he did not enjoy majority in the Constituent Assembly therefore Governor General Iskender Mirza dismissed his government in 1955. Chaudhary Muhammad Ali succeeded in becoming the PM in 1955 but because of his conflict with Iskender Mirza who had become president as a result of 1956 constitution, Muhammad Ali resigned on September 12, 1956. Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy was the leader of Awami League and led the party through a victory in the 1954 elections for Constituent Assembly. He was the first person from another party than Muslim League to be appointed as a Prime Minister in 1956. He was deposed in 1957, due to differences with Iskander Mirza.

Ibrahim Ismail Chundrigar was appointed by Iskander Mirza after the resignation of Suhrawardy. He remained prime minister for almost two months. Chundrigar resigned from the post in December 1957. Then Mirza appointed Feroz Khan Noon as the seventh prime minister of Pakistan. He was dismissed after Martial Law was declared in 1958 by Ayub Khan.

After thirteen years of Martial Law, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto succeeded to power. Bhutto remained President under special arrangement till 1973 Constitution was passed. He resigned as president to become the prime minister of Pakistan after the 1973 Constitution. He went in to elections in 1977 and succeeded but was deposed the same year through coup d'état by General Muhammad Ziaul Haq in July 1977. He was hanged in 1979 by all powerful military-judicial nexus.

In 1985 non-party elections, Muhammad Khan Junejo was elected as PM of Pakistan under the worst dictators of Pakistan. As he was a political breed, he remained a threat to the dictator therefore his government was dismissed on May 29, 1988, just days after Junejo announced to probe the Ojhri Camp incident in Rawalpindi in which military’s weapons depot was exploded killing around 100 people and injuring thousands.

As a result of 1988 general elections, Benazir Bhutto came into power as PM on December 2, 1988. An impeachment move was shot down by PPP in 1989 but President Ghulam Ishaq Khan dismissed Ms Bhutto’s government on August 6, 1990 using the notorious presidential powers of Article 58 (2)b. Mian Nawaz Sharif followed Ms Bhutto and become PM for the first time in 1990. His government was dismissed by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan in 1993 but the Supreme Court restored it later. However, the famous Kakar formula came into play when the then Army Chief Waheed Kakar forced both, Mian Nawaz Sharif and Ghulam Ishaq Khan to resign on July 18, 1993.

Ms Benazir Bhutto again became PM of Pakistan in 1993 but her second government also could last three years and his own handpicked loyal president Farooq Laghari conspired against her and dismissed her government in November 1996 using Article 58(2)b. Mian Nawaz Sharif again became PM of Pakistan as a result of February 1997 election but on October 12, 1999, General Pervez Musharraf imposed emergency in the country and threw Nawaz Sharif out of the power.

Then three PMs under the dictator Musharraf served the office, of which Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali could hold the office for 19 months only and was sent home by Musharraf. Chaudhary Shujaat acted as a stopgap arrangement for two months before Musharraf’s friend Shaukat Aziz became PM in August 2004.

As a result of 2008 general elections, PPP succeeded to secure majority in the National Assembly and Yusuf Raza Gilani was elected as the PM. It was all well for Mr Gilani until he was convicted in a contempt of court case in Supreme Court for not writing a letter against the sitting president to the Swiss authorities to reopen corruption cases. Gilani remained PM of Pakistan from March 25, 2008 to June 19, 2012. The remaining term of PPP government was completed by Raja Pervaiz Ashraf who held the office from June 2012 to March 2013.

Mian Nawaz Sharif became the PM for the third time in 2013
but as he entered the last year of his tenure, he has been engulfed by Panama Papers case in Supreme Court. The SC will announce an important judgment on Friday (today) which will decide the fate of Nawaz Sharif. Will the history repeat itself and no PM in the past 70 years would be able to complete his tenure? The answer is yet to come. Fingers are crossed.

China will influence the selection of the next PM through Gen. Bajwa.

Earlier, the Army had to get concurrence from the US to do a coup. Now, it is China, the new Master.

Sri Lanka turn down Pakistan Cricket Board invitation to play T20 series
The Sri Lankan cricket board has turned down an invitation from the Pakistan Cricket Board to send its team to Lahore to play two T20 matches at the start of its home series in October.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Shaharyar Khan: “I am a bit surprised at Sri Lankan’s refusal because terror attacks are happening everywhere in the world and sports events are still going on. It is unfair to just single out Pakistan for security reasons.
“But not being able to resume international cricket in Pakistan and the deadlock with India over bilateral series remain a disappointment for me. Because Pakistan should not be isolated like this as an international venue,” he said.
Victimology begins. HS&D at stake.

Yes,"glimmer of hope" in the Paki people. However,Hope has let them down v.badly many a time before. The day has to come when the Paki nation ,if it can hold together, comes out on the streets as in other countries and puts the army back into barracks and the politicos into jail.If the civilian authority over that nation fails to materialise, then the fragmentation of Pak is inevitable. The Paki army and ISI have been cunning in recent times, refusing to take conbtrol because the responsibility of saving the nation will then lie with them.A fig-leaf of democracy is what they want, plus total control over defence, foreign affairs and a stranglehold over the finances, where military men get their snouts at pig swill at the trough!

AS expressed by some in above posts,we now have to see where the influence lies in who will sit on the latrine throne in Pak.With the Soothis or the Chins. In previous years, the nod from the KSA,'"keepers of the two holy places" was essential because much moolah came from that source. The KSA's eco woes and deep annoyance that the Paki army chose not to fight in the Yemen... and get their backsides tanned, has widened the gap.The Chinese will be burning the midnight oil to see that their OBOR/Silk Road ambitions are not affected by a change of occupant in the Khazi!

Legally the PML is still in power and has to nominate a new leader.
Unless the Presidente, Mamnoon Hussain dismisses the whole govt on corruption.

They will nominate Shahbaaz Sharif, who is a very shrewd character.
Shahbaz was the one giving money to JUD out of Punjab budget.

The sharifs have given enough bribe to the chinese in the form of CPEC etc, so they will look at them favourably. If the fauj wants that no sharif ascend to the throne, then someone from the party might ascend. Still it will be a powerless twit like MMS was in india - controlled by the sharifs. Maybe samdhi-ji might strike gold!

Imran Khan is a dumbo - a bit like Rajiv Gandhi, not entirely to the level of the current pappu.

Incidentally Raheel Sharif is in town too. Mushy is again on the airwaves in Pakistan.

A change in govt will have to wait until a new election, which will be overseen by the ISI

Shehbaz Sharif likely to succeed Nawaz Sharif as Pakistan PM: Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Punjab province Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to be made Prime Minister after his brother Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court over the Panama Papers scandal, according to a media report.

After a consultative session of the ruling PML-N, Shehbaz has emerged as the most likely candidate to be the next prime minister of Pakistan after an interim premier has served the 45-day period, Geo News reported.

Shehbaz, 65, is currently serving as the chief minister of Punjab.

Sharif met with senior party leaders after being disqualified by the Supreme Court verdict following culmination of the Panama Papers case.

After chairing the meeting as president of his party, Nawaz recommended his own brother to be his replacement as the prime minister of Pakistan, the report said.

A name has not been announced for the interim prime minister, who will fill the 45 day vacuum until Shehbaz is elected to a National Assembly seat, it said.

Names of Rana Sanaullah and Hamza Shehbaz are being touted as contenders for the post of Punjab chief minister, the report said.

Nawaz Sharif, who resigned from his post after the top court disqualified him, was quoted by The Express Tribune as saying that he wished to see his brother Shehbaz appointed the next prime minister.

In a meeting with his confidants, Nawaz said though the final decision on who should be appointed the next prime minister would be made in a parliamentary meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he hoped that Shehbaz would be chosen for the post, the report said.

The PML(N) had expected something along these lines, as a worst case scenario, and was probably prepared for this.
Shehbaz was quickly nominated for the post of party president.

Jemima's Real Reason For "Hating" Ganja Now Revealed .

Nawaz Sharif tried to put me behind bars when I was pregnant : Jemima Goldsmith
The former wife of cricketer-turned politician Jemima Goldsmith termed the ouster of Nawaz Sharif ‘good riddance’ and claimed that the man (Nawaz Sharif) tried to get her behind bars when she was pregnant with her second child.
The 43-year-old ( So, the Kaptaan, who appears to be in his early 60's is almost like a "father figure" !) further tweeted that no prime minister of Pakistan has been able to complete their 5-year term to date, Goldsmith expressed hope that the next one [Imran Khan] will be able to do so.
She went on to allege that Zionist conspiracy theories that blighted her life in Pakistan 20 years ago are being narrated by the ruling party to the nation one more time. Jewish, Zionist, Hindu Combine are here to stay in Pakiland - Forever !!!

Khawaja To "Keep The Seat Warm" For Show-Baaz Sharif :D

Khawaja Asif confirmed as interim PM for 45 days
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has decided to bring in Khawaja Muhammad Asif as an interim prime minister for a few weeks before electing Shahbaz Sharif to the post. Most PMLN leaders and members of Sharif family have agreed on Khawaja Asif's name as the interim prime minister. So, indirect rule by Ganja and his corrupt family remains . !!!

The ousting of Nawaz Sharif is a double-edged sword for Pakistan
Kunwar Khuldune Shahid
The Independent
Amid heavy security in the capital, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over a corruption scandal that originated in last year’s Panama Papers. While Sharif himself wasn’t mentioned in the leaks, his children were named with reference to properties they own in London.
But the ensuing investigation into the Sharif family’s assets, which proved that Nawaz had withheld his Dubai-based employment in his nomination papers for the 2013 general elections, ( that was the excuse! the fauj wanted him out !) has made him the second elected Prime Minister to be ousted over Panama Leaks after Iceland’s Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson stepped down in April last year.
Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification comes a year before the next elections were scheduled, and means that not a single Prime Minister in Pakistan’s history has completed their five-year tenure so far. It is the third premature exit for Sharif alone, after being pressed into a resignation by the military establishment in 1993, and a full-blown Army coup forcing him into exile in 1999.
As the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) picks its pieces and formulates a strategy for next year’s elections, beginning with nomination of the next Prime Minister, the Supreme Court verdict is a major triumph for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, who has spent the past four years actively campaigning for Sharif’s resignation. With the help of the Army, Imran will likely win the next election !
Even so, the idea that the Army was decisively invested in the removal of Sharif is contentious. For, a hard coup is no longer on its agenda, and it already exercises complete control over issues that it historically wants to dictate. These include no accountability over human rights abuses in Balochistan, continued confrontation with India, and an unflinching stranglehold over the defence and foreign policies. The Army wants a more "pliable, and less corrupt PM" ![/quote]
For a state that has been dominated by the military throughout its 70 year existence, and where every military coup has been sanctioned by the judiciary, yet another premature dismissal of an elected leader – even if on perfectly legal grounds – could further tarnish the credibility of the civilian authority and reinforce the Army’s grip over the country’s fate.
Alternatively, with a growing media and rising international scrutiny, we could truly be witnessing a historically progressive development, which could eventually culminate in accountability for other institutions as well. ( all other institutions yes - except the fauj !)
While Pakistan’s calamitous past makes one of those possibilities border on delusional, with undemocratic elitist parties having been flagbearers of democracy for ages, even a self-purge among the civilian leadership would actually strengthen them to take on the more powerful state institutions – even if in the distant future.

Sushma Swaraj takes dig at Sartaj Aziz, Pakistani woman joins in
NEW DELHI: External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj again took a dig at her Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz, and this time she had company in the form of a Pakistani woman who joined her in lambasting him.The woman from across the border, went so far as to say on Friday that Pakistanis don't even know if their foreign affairs chief Aziz exists.
The back story is that the Pakistani woman, whose Twitter handle is Hijaab Asif, pleaded with minister Swaraj on Twitter to grant a medical visa to a relation of hers who's in dire need of treatment. As is Swaraj's wont, she noticed the tweet, replied immediately, alerted the Indian high commission in Pakistan and asked them to grant an Indian visa to the Pakistani national. Here's when Swaraj took a well-aimed shot at Aziz. "Did Sartaj Aziz not give a letter approving an Indian visa even in such a serious case as yours?" Sartaj is consoling Ganja Sharif :D
Swaraj has been taking aim at Aziz for a while now.Earlier this month, the external affairs minister took Aziz to task for not having "the courtesy even to acknowledge" her letter to him urging he grant a visa to Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother. Jadhav is the Indian national on death row in Pakistan. Sartaj has a "thick Pathan skin" !
