"Good Haqqani" Bats For "Good Sharif"

Pakistan sticks to a sad tradition
The Hindu

Opinion Piece By Hussein Haqqani
The decision by Pakistan’s Supreme Court to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reaffirms the iron law of Pakistani politics: a politician can amass wealth and engage in corruption only as long as he does not challenge the ascendance of the country’s powerful national security establishment. Although Mr. Sharif has ostensibly been disqualified over the so-called Panama Papers, which exposed holders of offshore bank accounts, the verdict against him has little to do with the revelations in the Panama Papers. :D
Mr. Sharif and his family have definitely expanded their assets several fold since his entry into politics more than three decades ago as a protégé of the Islamist military dictator, General Zia-ul-Haq, and the former chief of the notorious Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). But he was not put on trial for corruption and convicted. Instead, the Supreme Court acted politically, as it often does, and created a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that included military intelligence representatives. The JIT’s job was ostensibly to uncover the trail of the Sharifs’ wealth and the Supreme Court used the JIT’s findings to determine that Mr. Sharif could no longer fulfil the constitutionally mandated qualifications for his office. The fact that members of the " Deep State" were also members of the JIT says a lot about the objectivity of the "probe". !
When he ended Martial Law, General Zia had added several provisions to Pakistan’s Constitution, some of which related to moral qualifications for membership of parliament. Their purpose was to give the all-powerful national security establishment a constitutional instrument to control the political process even after the military’s withdrawal from direct political intervention. Those provisions have finally been invoked to rid Pakistan of a meddlesome Prime Minister.
Aware that the 21st century is less conducive to direct military takeovers than preceding decades, Gen Musharraf reintroduced the notion of presidential dismissal before sharing power with civilians again. The civilians dispensed with it again in a consensus constitutional package in 2008. Since then, Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution, inserted by Zia and ironically kept alive with the support of Mr. Sharif and Pakistan’s religious parties, have been cited as the means whereby the establishment can keep politicians on the straight and narrow. Sharif had no clue that these "religious clauses" can one day be used by the fauj against anybody !
In its judgment disqualifying Mr. Sharif, the Supreme Court has found him in violation of Article 62(1)(f) that demands that members of Parliament be “sagacious, righteous, non-profligate, honest and Ameen”. The last of these, “Ameen”, meaning ‘the keeper of trust’ is one of the attributes of Prophet Muhammad, which by definition is a hard standard to meet for any Muslim who deems the Prophet ‘the most perfect’ human being. Ordinary mortals can easily be found in violation of that noble standard.
By this standard , Imran Khan is unqualified !!!
The disqualification of Mr. Sharif sets the precedent for future judicial coups. That does not mean Mr. Sharif has not amassed wealth beyond explainable means or does not have property across the world that might have been acquired through questionable transactions. But corruption must be dealt with by legal means, not on the say of rival politicians or intelligence operatives operating without being subject to laws of evidence. No doubt Ganja was corrupt to the core, but other corrupt ( politicos, jernails, kernails , babus ) should also be investigated under similar JIT's !
If legally admissible evidence of corruption had existed, there would have been a trial, not direct intervention by the Supreme Court, which should only be the court of final appeal in criminal matters.
Mr. Sharif fell out of the army’s favour when he decided to assert himself in the conduct of foreign and national security policy after becoming Prime Minister. He was ousted once by the President and a second time by the army chief in a coup. Elected for a third time, he has now been sent packing through the Supreme Court. He is clearly a flawed man but the manner of his removal from office is even more flawed.
During the Panama Papers saga, Mr. Sharif was accused in social media of being an Indian agent and rumours swirled of his alleged investments in India and ‘secret partnerships’ with Indian businessmen. This reveals the real cause of anxiety with him, which could not be rumours of corruption because that did not bother the establishment when it initially supported him.
The role Mr. Sharif played in the late 1980s, as the establishment’s Cat’s Paw, has now been taken over by cricketer-turned politician, Imran Khan. There is no guarantee, however, that if Mr. Khan ever comes to power he would not meet a similar fate when he insists on making policy instead of being content with having office and implementing the establishment’s prescriptions. Just like the IJI-ISI intrigue was fully uncovered decades later, we will probably find out details of the intrigue leading to Mr. Sharif’s ouster several years later too. Many observers of the Paki political scene have speculated ( and wondered ) about the coincidental presence of the now Saudi based Bad Sherrif for R&R ( Raheel ) in La-Whore, and his hidden hand , if any , in the whole gol-maal. He has had political ambitions and could team up with Imran or become his political rival

Pakistan = zero . India = One

World Bank allows India to construct controversial dams on Pakistani waters
The World Bank has allowed India to move ahead with two hydroelectric power facilities on tributaries of the Jhelum and Chenab rivers, a decision taken at the conclusion of secretary-level talks between Pakistan and India on Indus Water Treaty.World Bank, which brokered the 1960 water treaty between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, said New Delhi is allowed to construct Kishanganga and Ratle dams with certain restrictions under the treaty.
"The decision was taken in light of the reservations put forth by the Pakistani delegation," the world lender said in a fact sheet."Among other uses, India is permitted to construct hydroelectric power facilities on these rivers subject to constraints specified in annexures to the treaty." IMO, this is a redux of the ICJ re : Jadav. Pakistan needs to bring up the Paki expensive "expert" (My Laard !) Khaawar for this case as well

Hindu MNA Pleads For Tolerance :|

‘Pakistani Hindus should not be called Indians’
The Express Tribune
ISLAMABAD:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Central Leader MNA has called for reminding the people at large that Pakistani Hindus are proud patriots and should not be referred to as Indians. Perwani, who is also a member of the National Assembly, took strong exception to the blanket manner in which Pakistan’s vibrant Hindu community was wrongly labelled as Indian sympathisers. He appealed to such elements to remember that Hinduism is a religion and not a nationality.
The MQM-P leader said that it saddened him to see how even public figures – important ministers and colleagues – wrongly attributed Pakistani Hindu community to Indians.Stressing that he and other members of his community were proud of their Pakistani nationality, Perwani said, “Our patriotism and love for Pakistan should never be doubted.”
He also revealed to move a motion in the National Assembly in the next session against the undermining treatment of minorities. He said PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi recently passed remarks which were against the Hindu minority.
While talking to The Express Tribune, he said, “Similar remarks had been passed by government minister Abdul Qadir Baloch in the lower house of parliament, for which, later on he had apologised.”He said this sort of attitude of the ruling party is nothing but “extreme discrimination”.
Furthermore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Lal Chand Malhi submitted an adjournment motion in the NA Secretariat in this context as well. The motion read, “The business of the house may be adjourned to discuss an urgent matter of public importance regarding the atmosphere being created by the ruling party to imply that minority communities cannot be Pakistanis. Showing continuous disdain towards minorities by the ruling party’s senior leadership in honourable courts and media is a cause for concern among the people of Pakistan in general and minorities in particular.” As noted in the above, lip service is the most that the majority community can offer to this persecuted minority !

Kufr! The original headline would have claimed "Pakistan, in a magnanimous gesture, convinced WB to conditionally permit India the construction of a dam....".

August Sealing Pakistan border priority, 'smart fence' by March 2018: BSF chief

NEW DELHI: Sealing the Indian border with Pakistan is an immediate "priority" and a smart technology-aided fence will be in place along the Jammu sector by March next year, the BSF chief said on Wednesday.

Border Security Force DG K K Sharma, in the same breath, added that as the country's relations with its eastern neighbour Bangladesh are "very good" at present, a similar plan to make the Indo-Bangla border impregnable would be taken up once the "resources" are available.

"My priority is Pakistan, as anything that happens here (along the Indo-Pak border), has grave consequences. We are working to ensure complete sealing of this border and make it more fortified," the Director General said on sidelines of an event to announce the 'BSF half marathon for martyrs' to be held in October this year.

"We are implementing a comprehensive integrated border management (CBIM) plan and are running a pilot project to make our international border (IB) along Pakistan secure," he said.

This project will be in place in the Jammu sector (of the IB) by March next year, Sharma said.

Asked if there were any similar plans for the 4,096-km long India-Bangladesh border, the DG replied "it is a question of priority".

Both the governments of India and Bangladesh have good relations and the ties between the BSF and its counterpart Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) are also at an all-time high, the DG said.

"We are also conducting simultaneous coordinated patrolling wit the BGB ... once we have the resources (after completing the border sealing task with Pakistan), we will do it on the eastern side," Sharma said.

He added that the project to create 'smart fencing' along the Indo-Bangla border has "not started" as of now along the eastern frontier.

The BSF DG's statement comes in variance with that of Union home minister Rajnath Singh who has earlier said that the Assam portion of the Indo-Bangla border (about 200kms) will be completely sealed by the first half of 2018.

He added that the challenges of guarding these large borders on the two flanks of the country are very "dynamic" and hence the security requirements keep changing and nothing can be said to be adequate.

"We are modernising our equipments and the Indo-Pak border will be more fortified by the use of advanced technology. What we keep doing, I am sure, will have to be followed by my successor even," he said.

Talking about the security situation along the Indo-Pak border, the BSF boss said terror "launch pads are always active to infiltrate terrorists from across the border into India".

"We are committed to ensure fool proof security along the border despite all hardships and challenges at these two borders," he said.

Sharma said since the last year, there has been no infiltration from across the IB that is under the absolute control of the force.

He added that these instances instead have taken place from the Line of Control (LoC), where the BSF is deployed under the operational command of the Army.

Talking about the half-marathon, the BSF chief said it will be held in the national capital on October 22, a day after the national police commemoration day, in the memory of its martyrs.

The families of the martyrs will be invited to witness and participate in it and the trophies of the event will be named after those personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty, he added.

The about 2.5-lakh personnel strong force was raised in December 1965.

See gulabo cozying up with dimran. See al jalebi in all her glory. AoA!
Mazari and her fellow PTI women should have stood by Gulalai
We have a video circulating on the social media in which Imran Khan allegedly said about former party member Naz Baloch that it was "good that she has left, [she] was of no use"
And then there's his lawyer Naeem Bukhari who on national TV made fun of Gulalai saying "I don't think I even know who Gulalai is" and then went on to say even though first gaze is allowed in Islam he doesn't "check out" all women.
"everything about Imran is moral"
"woman have stopped giving birth to individuals like Imran Khan"
there will never be a more "moral" person than Imran

Cooking oil made with animal fat seized

BAHAWALPUR: The district administration initiated a crackdown against illegal manufacturing of cooking oil and arrested three people on Tuesday.

An official told The Express Tribune the police and district administration officials raided different areas and seized 80 containers filled with injurious cooking oil. Besides, the officials also confiscated containers filled with fat of dead animals that was used in manufacturing the cooking oil. Cases were registered against the culprits.

The Punjab food Authority (PFA) has also sealed several factories and shops involved in making unhygienic edible items, including sweets and oil in recent months. According to a latest PFA press release, “Some factories are producing adulterated beverages which are impacting the health of our future generation. These people ruin the future of the country in order to get easy money,” it states.

It adds contaminated food has been around for a long time due to the use of low quality cooking oil and unsanitary methods. “PFA has begun a crackdown and the authority will continue to work until all such shops are closed altogether.”

The authority has obtained permission from its board to establish a training school earlier this year.

It plans to offer four levels of training to food handlers. In the first level, students will be taught the handling of cooked and prepared food. The second phase will be training of cooks and chefs, while the third will offer managerial-level courses. The fourth and final level deals with developing or creating would-be trainers.

The institute is likely to be named the Punjab Food Authority School and there are plans to establish more PFA academies around the province.

Sharif "Family Business" In Crisis Mode .

Shahbaz might not run for PM after all
LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to hold a high-level huddle of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders to review his earlier decision to elevate Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to the Centre, say party insiders. The rumour mill has been busy churning over the past few days with speculation as to whether CM Sharif would even contest the NA-120 by-poll in Lahore.Soon after the prime minister’s ouster, the PML-N parliamentary party had endorsed his nomination as the next prime minister for 10 months till the next election. Subsequently, CM Sharif had reportedly pitched his son, MNA Hamza Shahbaz, as his possible replacement in Punjab.
Nepotism galore . London flats, Saudi steel mill, sugar mills in Pakjab are all "side" activities of the Sharifs'. Main "business" is to milk the Paki Fed and Prov Govt Systems, ( money laundering, loan defaults, commissions, pilfer aid monies, forge docs , ) and help themselves to the moolah in the guise of helping the hapless Aam Abduls !
“To be or not to be — that is the situation CM Sharif is facing these days. Statements of close aides, like provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, that he should not leave the office of chief minister, are being construed by many in the PML-N as if the decision to elevate him to the Centre is not yet final,” a PML-N senior leader told Dawn on Wednesday. And then there is the question of retaining loyalists (like Rana ) who may potentially spill the beans in the future !
“Some tricky business is under way. We do not know what has happened after Nawaz Sharif nominated his brother for the PM slot. As of today, we are being told that Punjab is very important to the PML-N and it needs Shahbaz desperately...to continue his vigorous policies...the final decision of his elevation to the Centre will be taken in a few days,” the party leader adds. It is essential that an experienced and reliable family member, personally manage the Federal and Provincial Branch Of the "Family Business"
There are also reports that Nawaz Sharif’s refusal to nominate his nephew Hamza as the chief minister of Punjab has annoyed his brother, who might choose not to give up the post in the province because of it. “Nawaz Sharif will think many times before handing over Punjab to Hamza while his father is at the Centre. It seems that Hamza’s dream to get the top slot in Punjab may never be realised,” another party leader says, adding that CM Sharif appeared too keen to keep both posts in the family. Now that "Abbaji", is out of the picture, it will be up to the Mother ( of Nawaz and Shahbaaz) to keep the family united in these trying times , and stop this family infighting.
Then there is the question of whether Hamza is even capable of running the country’s most populous province, he says. Many MPAs are also wary of the possibility of him being chief minister. So, he was an MNA member in name only for these years without learning the "ropes of the family business"
To a question of whether CM Sharif would contest the by-poll from more than one constituency in order to secure his passage to Islamabad, the spokesperson confirms that he will only contest polls from NA-120. Mr Ahmad has stressed that there are no “Shahbaz or Nawaz camps” and that the two brothers are on the same page. So the battle lines are drawn between the two "branches" of the family

Armed Abduls Taking Justice In Their Own Hands !

Man stops attempted robbery, kills one dacoit in Karachi
KARACHI: On Wednesday night an attempted robbery unfolded in Bahadurabad. One dacoit was killed when the owner of the house returned fire midway through the robbery. In a CCTV footage obtained from a nearby camera, the scene unfolds such that a man accompanied by a child is seen walking outside his house. A bit further he finds his brothers held at gunpoint by robbers. When the man tries to stop the robbers, the suspects opened fire on him.
The video shows that the man showed courage as he quickly shielded himself and the child from bullets and reentered his house. Upon his return, he emerged with his personal gun.
The Aam Abduls have lost faith in the local police , so they have now taken the law in their own hands !.
Taking the robbers by surprise, he aims at the dacoits midway through the robbery and shoots. One of them was killed while three others managed to escape. There is no report yet on whether the fleeing robbers took any items with them or not. Will the police now book him for "breaking the law" is an another matter entirely

Imran Khan Is "Acting" Like A Prime Minister Already

'Prime Minister Imran Khan'
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI) took to Parade Ground in the nation’s capital to celebrate Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s historic decision of ousting the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Panama Papers case on Sunday. In an event decorated with music, speeches, documentaries (some not so), and musical performances ranging from satire to patriotic by re-known artists including PTI member Abrarul Haq, Sher Miandad Khan, Haroon Rashid, Malku and Junoon’s Salman Ahmad, there was one man whose name brought about the loudest roar: Imran Khan. The "show" managed, financed, produced and directed by Immy Khan for the benefit of Immy Khan !
Khan, who was full of praise for the SC bench, stated that he was against corruption, dishonesty and all such hindrances en route to prosperity, adding that after he is done with Shahbaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari is his next target.“Asif Ali Zardari, I warn you that after Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Shehbaz Sharif your turn is next,” said Khan.
Here the "Oxford educated" is speaking to the unwashed Aam Abduls in their own language !
In a speech that saw constant attacks against Pakistan’s former premier, Khan told the audiences to not fall for Sharif family’s innocent faces, adding that if they had the chance, they would not think twice before selling the country to foreign forces.
“Don’t judge them from their innocent faces. I bet they will sell Pakistan to its enemies. The Dawn leaks saga is a testimony to this fact,” he said.
Khan, talking about how the Sharif’s disturbed his personal life, said that his ex-wife Jemima Khan was deeply hurt by the treatment she got after arriving in Pakistan.“She converted to Islam when she was 21. ( Has she "reconverted" back to her original faith  ) She came to Pakistan, and they (Sharifs) accused her of being part of the Jewish lobby. They also registered an FIR against her for false case of smuggling tiles,” Khan said.Last Friday, after SC announced its decision, Jemima regarded Nawaz’s ousting as “good riddance” on social media website Twitter:There were unconfirmed rumours that he wants her "back in his life"
The rally was also addressed by Murad Saeed (in his typical emotional aura), Sheikh Rasheed (who thanked Imran for announcing him as a candidate for premiership), ( so he is still "hanging out" with this Pindi thug !) Abrarul Haq (who sang a political version of Rashke Qamar), Chief Minister KP Pervaiz Khattak (who continuously said he does not have the vocal firepower anymore), Shah Mehmood Qureshi (in his typical aura too) and Hamza Ali Abbassi. The gathering was also attended by Naeem Bukhari, Fawad Chaudhry, Dr Yasmeen Rashid and others.
Khan, nonetheless, has not forwarded his name for the premiership, so we will have to wait till next year’s general elections to know if “Prime Minister Imran Khan” holds realistic grounds or will remain merely a fantasy. Only some "pushing and shoving" by the fauj can make this happen !

Another Review On The Debut Edition Of The So-Called Sunnat- E- Khulla

Sunnat-e-Khaula
by Marvi Sirmed
Islamabad: The banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reportedly launched a magazine for women. The copies distributed online show its title as Sunnat-e-Khaula – that translates into The Ways of Khaula (R.A). Hazarat Khaula Bint al-Azwar is prominent among Muslim Arab warrior from the 7th Century. She had fought side by side with her brother Hazarat Zaraar ibn Azwar, the legendary commander of the Rashidun army in many battles, including the decisive Battle of Yarmouk in 636 A.D., against the Byzantine Empire. She is most well known for conquests fought in the region that makes present-day Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. A bit of background history and also much needed clarification ( the magazine is strictly on-line !)
Such celebrated is her memory across the Muslim world that in 2011 the Government of Jordan issued a stamp in her honour. ( so the term "moderate" to describe Jordan Govt is a subjective thing !) The naming of the magazine after the legendary Hazarat Khaula is not the first instance of terrorist outfits usurping the legacy of 7th century Muslim conquests to further their ill designs, including provoking people to undertake unlawful activities like mass killings that are also prohibited under Islamic jurisprudence.
By invoking the legacy of Khaula (R.A.), the TTP is perhaps luring women towards 'jihad', another term from Islamic history it uses to legitimise its terrorist acts. It has been using women as suicide bombers since 2010-11 when the group claimed an attack in Karachi and said that they sent a couple to carry out the suicide mission on a police station killing 10 people. That was probably the first instance of TTP using a woman as a bomber. On the same day - June 26, 2011 - Afghan Taliban also used an eight-year-old girl child to bomb a police check post in Uruzgan province. A couple of years later, ISIS started luring women in massive numbers to fight in the Middle Eastern battlefields. A few months ago, Pakistan's security forces arrested Noreen Leghari, a medical student, who was planning to bomb a Church in Lahore on the occasion of Easter. So, this reporter has done good research . Modern Malsi history has a rich tradition of using Ayeshas as "cannon fodder"
The 45-page English language magazine Sunnat-e-Khaula appears to be intended for the educated urban women and is openly asking them to join the group. A three-page long editorial forecasts an India-Pakistan war. The text claims that Taliban would be the 'last hope for people of Pakistan' and regurgitates TTP's anti-Pakistan rhetoric.
Does not make sense!. At least IMO. The Paki Deep State even now solidly affirms that TPP is a creature of RAA.
The next seven pages contain an English language translation of TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah's lecture addressed at Muslim women.
What follows is an 18-page article by one Dr. Khaula Bint Abdul Aziz. The author, claiming to be a Lahore-based medical professional, narrates her journey from 'ignorance' (associated with worldly education) to 'guidance' (the life of 'jihad'). Emphasising the importance of Purdah and Niqab, the author claims that her education had misled her into equating mere worldly information with knowledge. She says she had forgetten the 'soul of Islam', which in her view included Jihad as a compulsory element. So, according to this version, she is living a double life - right out of a "spy novel" ! Doctor by day, Jihadi by nite ! Is she also involved in sending "night letters" like the Afghan Taliban used to do to "deter" UnIsamic behaviour among the Aam Afghans
.
Perhaps, the most shocking content in the magazine is a four-page letter attributed to a six-year-old child named Omar Mujahid. The author claims to be a student at 'madrassa- tul-sharia in Khurasan'. He narrates that his elder brother had died while executing a terrorist attack in Pakistan. In this sloppily drafted emotional letter, the author also explains how he helps his mother serve and take care of mujahideen, and plays with toy guns. All the while, he says, he waits earnestly to participate in 'Jihad'. Hope the young Munna is not a student of the infamous Maulana Ghazi of the Lal Masjid
But the interview of Mullah Fazlullah's wife remains the cherry on the top. The woman whose name is not revealed discusses her father Sufi Mohammad, the chief of banned Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM) who was arrested in 2009 after a military operation in Swat but stands acquitted in 16 cases of terrorism for lack of evidence. She mentions her training in 'Islamic ways' and also advocates marriages in early age saying that this 'prevents sins'.
So, in this way, she is legally "available " 24/7- 365 days- to "her man" - for any of his needs

Perks For Past Paki PM's
Find Out What Luxuries a Former PM of Pakistan Gets
In the eyes of the public, a government official who is part of the assemblies are fairly entitled to certain perks and privileges when they hold office. The public also believes that once outvoted, these former office holders aren’t entitled to what they used to get before. This isn’t what usually occurs in these cases. Contrary to popular belief, there are plenty of retirement benefits for former office holders. IOW, they "milk" the system, even when they are there no more !
Take the example of the former and current Prime Ministers of Pakistan. Whether it’s someone like Nawaz Sharif or Yousuf Raza Gilani, who held the post for around 4 years or someone like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who is expected to stay in office for a mere 45 days (or for the rest of PML-N’s 5 year term), every former Prime Minister of Pakistan is entitled to the same luxurious retirement benefits. Am sure that some former PMs are more equal than the others .
According to the ‘The Prime Minister’s Salary, Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975’ and future amendments in the gazette up until 2012, even if someone is a Prime Minister for a single day, he or she is allowed to receive the retirement benefits bestowed upon former Prime Ministers and their families. Some notable benefits that former PMs receive after they’re no longer in office are listed below:
Official Blue Pakistani passport Foreign Immigration officials will not be "fooled" by the "new color" . ( Dont judge a "book" by its cover  )
Free Utilities (Gas, water, electricity)
Unlimited phone calls
Two government paid servants
Two government paid guards with weapons
Official Residence (bungalow) in Islamabad
A government paid driver
A government paid telephone operator
A government paid personal secretary
A government paid personal assistant
A car with free petrol allowance
Monthly fund of Rs. 175,000
Free medical healthcare facilities
Free air travel tickets for local and international trips
Some of the above mentioned facilities, like healthcare, are also available to the family of a retired Prime Minister.
Former office holders being afforded such luxuries isn’t unheard of, since it usually is the norm in most countries. However, in a country where 29.5% of the population lives in below the poverty level, where debts have ballooned to their highest ever levels, surely it isn’t too far-fetched to forego these benefits that end up costing the taxpayers of the country. Am 400% sure that the whole extended "khandaan" of a former PM, would want to "jump on this gravy train" to further milk the system !

This Paki "Businessman" Does Not Believe In "Funding - Shunding " The Perks Accorded To Former Prime Ministers

Karachi Businessman Evaded Rs. 576.5 Million in Taxes
The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, Inland Revenue has filed an FIR against Usman Shahid, a businessman from Karachi, in the court of Special Judge Customs, Taxation and Anti-smuggling, Karachi, for evading Rs. 576.564 million tax.The case was lodged under Section 203 of Income Tax Ordinance read with Section 3, 4 and 8 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010.
Investigations against money launderers countrywide have escalated after the Panama Papers. The Karachi-based businessman evaded the aforementioned amount of taxes for three years – including Rs. 17.219 million in 2014, Rs. 80.823 million in 2015 and Rs. 478.521 million in 2016.The suspect is reported to have submitted the wrong particulars in his income tax returns to the federal government from 2011-12 to 2015-16. He has also knowingly kept his assets and income secret, thereby breaching the law. He was also found to be running a company named Southern Distributor and Southern Investment.
Mr. Shahid also concealed his income, turnover, and revenues, and his statements regarding tax returns did not match with the actual figures. Various irregularities have been found in the tax returns submitted by the business, whereas the record for income tax returns is missing for the year 2012-13.According to reports, Mr. Shahid has bought six expensive properties in luxurious localities without paying a single rupee as tax to the government. A few discrete meetings with a top guy, some sort of "offering" by the "businessman" to share the "profits" with the Bureaucrat , some cash changing hands and viola the audit file disappears . And "business" is back to normal, until a new audit is screened , l a few years later - under a new "management" - and the same cycle repeats itself .

Remember that story recently about a principal with an AK in a paki school? Here's the video on it. Watch 1:20 when he actually opens fire at the students who were complaining about their grades!! Note the students tried to instigate each other to beat the principal. Apparently this happened in abort-a-bad (home of the free, the brave and the clueless).

The Myth And Reality Of The China - Pakistan Friendship Highway According To Paki Traders in Xinjiang Province

For Pakistanis, China 'friendship' road runs one way
AFP
The China-Pakistan Friendship Highway runs over 1,300 kilometres (800 miles) from the far western Chinese city of Kashgar through the world's highest mountain pass and across the border. For China, the two-lane thoroughfare symbolises a blossoming partnership, nourished with tens of billions of dollars of infrastructure investment. But for many Pakistani businessmen living and working on the Chinese side of the border, the road is a one way street.
"China says our friendship is as high as the Himalayas and as deep as the sea, but it has no heart," said Pakistani businessman Murad Shah, as he tended his shop in Tashkurgan, 120 kilometres from the mountain pass where trucks line up to cross between China's vast Xinjiang region and Pakistan. He is doing nothing less than what the "Profit " "recommended" when he stated that one should go even to China to "get wisdom"
"There is no benefit for Pakistan. It's all about expanding China's growth," Shah said, as he straightened a display of precious stones.
The remote town of around 9,000 is at the geographic heart of Beijing's plans to build a major trade artery -– the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) -- connecting Kashgar to the Arabian Sea port of Gwadar. The project is a crown jewel of China's One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative, a massive global infrastructure programme to revive the ancient Silk Road and connect Chinese companies to new markets around the world. In 2013, Beijing and Islamabad signed agreements worth $46 billion to build transport and energy infrastructure along the corridor, and China has upgraded the treacherous mountain road better known as the Karakoram Highway. So, here is one Paki who does not believe all the BS that has recently been circulating around the so-called CPEC , which has been touted by the shrewd Chinese, and "swallowed" wholesale by the gullible Pakis as a "gamechanger" for Pakiland
Pakistan's exports to China fell by almost eight percent in the second half of 2016, while imports jumped by almost 29 percent. In May, Pakistan accused China of flooding its market with cut rate steel and threatened to respond with high tariffs.
"There are all of these hopes and dreams about Pakistan exports," said Jonathan Hillman, a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington."But if you're connecting with China, what are you going to be exporting?" The usual raw materials and natural resource can of course be exported to the "hungry Chinese" - who are scouring all parts of the world to feed their industrial machines for re -export. The Pakis can try their hand at the Malsi Market ( Islamic Compass, Mecca Carpets, Zam-Zam Pani ), but these items are not going to make a dent in the balance of trade, IMO.
One answer is Nigerian "male enhancement" supplements: expired medications which Pakistani merchants in the oasis city of Hotan recently peddled to bearded Muslims walking home from Friday prayers. In the Pakistaniyat tradition, these (desparate ) kinds of UnIslamic scams can be tried, but the Chinese are probably aware of this "game" !
The products were typical of the kinds of small consumer goods brought by Pakistani traders into Xinjiang: medicine, toiletries, semi-precious stones, rugs and handicrafts.
Pakistani businessmen in Xinjiang see few benefits from CPEC, complaining of intrusive security and capricious customs arrangements. "If you bring anything from China, no problem," said Muhammad, a trader in the ancient Silk Road city of Kashgar, who declined to give his full name. The "game" is loaded in favour of the Chinese. The Pakis will find out to their peril as time goes by !But he said tariffs on imported Pakistani goods are "not declared. Today it's five percent, tomorrow maybe 20. Sometimes, they just say this is not allowed".
Three years ago, Shah was charged between eight and 15 yuan per kilo to bring lapis lazuli, a blue stone. The duty has since soared to 50 yuan per kilo, he said.Customs officials told AFP the "elements influencing prices were too many" for them to offer a "definite and detailed list" of costs. While large-scale importers can absorb the tariffs, independent Pakistani traders have benefited little from CPEC, said Hasan Karrar, political economy professor at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. The real "fun" will start when the CPEC loans ( not grants or gifts !) becoming due , and the small print in the agreement will be invoked to grab Paki Real Estate, when the funds for loan repayment cannot be found. And suddenly, the Chinese become the "new landlords of Pakiland".
Alessandro Ripa, an expert on Chinese infrastructure projects at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, said the highway "is not very relevant to overall trade" because "the sea route is just cheaper and faster". The project is better understood as a tool for China to promote its geopolitical interests and help struggling state-owned companies export excess production, he said. A few "Special Chinese Export Zones" , sprinkled ,here and there , through the North South of the CPEC corridor , built by Chini labour and serviced by Chini companies, is not going to be a "gamechanger" as it is touted out to be . And why the details of the agreement not brought before the Paki Parliament for discussion and approval
Over the last year, Beijing has flooded Xinjiang, which has a large Muslim population, with tens of thousands of security personnel and imposed draconian rules to eliminate "extremism".
Businessmen complain they are not allowed to worship at local mosques, while shops can be closed for up to a year for importing merchandise with Arabic script. In June, on the 300 kilometre trip between Kashgar and Tashkurgan, drivers were stopped at six police checkpoints, while their passengers had to walk through metal detectors and show identification cards. Signs warn that officials can check mobile phones for "illegal" religious content.Police officers interrupted an interview in Tashkurgan to demand a shopkeeper hand over his smartphone and computer for inspection, an event he said occurs several times a week.Shah said that when he first arrived in the town, the intrusive security made him nervous: "But now I'm used to it. I almost feel like I'm one of the police." The Paki Aam Abduls ( not the Elite !) are blisfully unaware of these draconian measures against their Islamic brethrens in China. !
As he spoke, an alarm sounded. He grabbed a crude spear, body armour and a black helmet off his counter and rushed into the street, where police had assembled over a dozen people for impromptu counter-terrorism drills. The exercises are held up to four times a day. Stores are closed for several days if they do not participate.Back in Kashgar, Muhammad hopes that CPEC will make life better, but he believes the oppressive security will remain an obstacle. He plans to give it another three years. But, he said, he cannot wait forever: "Many people have already gone back." Dont blame the "poor" traders one bit ! Here they are . Isolated from their Pakjabi kith and kin, just so they can "bring the bacon home" . And making conjugal visits once or twice a year , and do their part in "increasing" the population of Pakistan .

Mushy, advocating military dictatorship (and himself).

Military brought country back on track, civilians derailed it
"Military rule has always brought the country back on track, whereas civilian governments have always derailed it," former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf said in an interview with BBC Urdu on Wednesday, during which he lauded former military dictators.
"Dictators set the country right, whereas civilian governments brought it to ruins"
"All Asian countries have seen progress because of dictators," he said
"What is the point of holding elections and giving liberty [to the population], if the country does not see progress?" he was quoted as saying.
Musharraf also spoke about his 1999 coup d'état in which he seized power from the democratically-elected government of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He said, "The coup was staged because it was the demand of the country's people".
"The people come running to the army to be saved; people come to me asking to be saved," he said.
We can disregard the Constitution to save the people
"India is involved in Balochistan. Whoever works actively against the welfare of Pakistan is against the country and should be killed," he said.
So general sa'ab, when are you returning to the country that loves you so much? Hain?
Despite pending court cases against him, the former dictator left Pakistan in March 2016, saying he would return "in a few weeks" after medical treatment.
Musharraf is facing a treason trial for clamping emergency in the country on Nov 3, 2007.
There! QED. Mushy has the best interest of the country's people in his mind! His people will only want him when he is healthy.

Pakjab first.

Shahbaz might not run for PM after all

Game of musical chairs between the sh'reef birathers, murree-yum and hum-ja. Son in laws not included.
The rumour mill has been busy churning over the past few days with speculation as to whether CM Sharif would even contest the NA-120 by-poll in Lahore (er...because he might lose?).
Soon after the prime minister’s ouster, the PML-N parliamentary party had endorsed his nomination as the next prime minister for 10 months till the next election. Subsequently, CM Sharif had reportedly pitched his son, MNA Hamza Shahbaz, as his possible replacement in Punjab.
To be or not to be — that is the situation CM Sharif is facing these days.
Some tricky business is under way.
There are also reports that Nawaz Sharif’s refusal to nominate his nephew Hamza as the chief minister of Punjab has annoyed his brother, who might choose not to give up the post in the province because of it.
Mr Ahmad has stressed that there are no “Shahbaz or Nawaz camps” and that the two brothers are on the same page. (yes! the cartoon page)
To steal or not to steal, that is the question. Pakjab. That's where the money is and safety of the biradari will be. What a ding-a-ling circus!

Secret Exposed : Immy Skips NA Session To Be With His "Female Pir". In Sahiwal.

What brings PTI chief to a remote town?
SAHIWAL: At a time when Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf faced the media onslaught after ‘startling revelations’ by its MNA Ms Ayesha Gulalai on Tuesday evening, the party chairman who skipped the all-important National Assembly session the same day, travelled all the way to Pakpattan in the dark of night.
Like Maulana Ghazi of Lal Masjid , did he dorn a burkha, so he cannot be identified . Hormones acting up
Mr Khan has been a regular visitor to the ancient town for the last two years. The visits, however, are kept private. Mr. Khan should very well know that a "public man" like him cannot have a "private life" !. He should "come clean" on this matter . Has he not learnt a lesson from the Sita White episode
Escorted by his personal guards, Khan usually visits the town at night, pays homage to saint Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar by visiting his shrine and then stays for a few hours at the residence of his hosts who belong to influential Maneka clan with whom he is said to have a spiritual bond. Did the so-called spiritual bond happen after his second marriage to Reham failed or is just a matter of his "hormones" becoming active because of his loneliness
A source close to the Manekas told this correspondent that during these sojourns Khan Sahib also meets with his spiritual patron, Bushra Bibi, known as Ms Pinki in the area, whenever he finds himself in a difficult situation. He should "come clean" on the Ayesha Gulalai episode with his female pir !
A respected Pir (faith healer) in Pakpattan, Ms Bushra, in her 40s, is the wife of Khawar Farid Maneka, a senior customs official in Islamabad. He is the son of Ghulam Farid Maneka, a seasoned politician and former federal minister. Ms Bushra is from the Wattoo clan, of which the Manekas are a sub-clan. All this "biradari" business will come in handy, (or become a headache ) once Immy comes to power in Isloo and all the clan members rush to him for Sarkari Dole
Imran Khan’s connection with the Manekas was confirmed by PTI leader Naeemul Haq last year when rumours were doing the rounds that the PTI chief had married a UK-based relative of the family on the advice of his Pir, Ms Bushra. So, the rumours were true that Immy is in the marriage market in the autumn of his life . But if further gossip is to be believed, the prospective misses will have to undergo a thorough background check and interview process by Imran's two sisters, who will have a final say , if the Ayesha is "good enough" for their "famous" brother.
Haq had then denied reports about Khan’s third marriage but confirmed in his tweet that his leader had “spiritual relationship” with the Maneka family. What kind of "spiritual relationship" is he talking about . When the Kaptaan has to travel in the dead of night, probably in a disguise . !
.
The source close to the family said Khan Sahib first visited Ms Bushra ahead of the NA-154 (Lodhran) by-poll in 2015 and was very pleased when Jahangir Tareen won the seat according to her prediction. Since then he has been visiting her regularly, the source adds.Mumtaz Hayat Maneka, a young Aitchisonian from the Maneka clan, said the PTI leader had a lot of reverence for Pinki Bibi as a true follower. Imran, an Oxford graduate and a "firm believer" in this hocus-pocus (female ) pir business. And Jemima, educated and globally suave, what does she think about all this
PTI’s Pakpattan Information Secretary Azhar Mahmood Khan said Khan Sahib reached Khawar Farid Maneka’s house on Tuesday evening, stayed there for some hours, visited Baba’s shrine and returned to Islamabad. The source said Khan was advised by his Pir to visit the shrine after Gulalai’s allegations. The "source" is probably feeding the hungry appetite of gossip collectors !
Rao Naseem Hashim, PTI’s senior leader in Pakpattan, said on his personal social media account: “How a person (Imran Khan) can be accused of harassment who was sitting in the shrine of a Pir-i-Kamil with humbleness and respect.” Zia was a 5 times a day namazi and yet he hanged Bhutto. Bhutto himself was a confirmed "sharabi" and yet he banned wines and spirits in Pakiland ! So, these comparisons - at least in Pakiland - are not relevant !

Terrorist Hafeez Saeed to run for the PM of Bakistan

http://m.indiatoday.in/lite/story/hafiz ... 18115.html

Hafiz Saeed to register Jamaat ud Dawah as political party, renames it as Milli Muslim League Pakistan

The Mumbai 25/11 attacks mastermind, Hafiz Saeed has decided to register his terror outfit Jamaat ud Dawah as a political party after renaming it as Milli Muslim League Pakistan.

Most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed has decided to launch his own political party. According to reports from across the border, Hafiz Saeed has decided to rename his terror outfit Jamaat ud Dawah as the Milli Muslim League Pakistan.

Hafiz Saeed has planned to register the Milli Muslim League Pakistan as a political party with the Election Commission of Pakistan.
For mainstreaming JuD a new Muslim League is in town?

The development assumes significance in the wake of the ouster of Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of Pakistan after a Supreme Court order. On the other hand, Hafiz Saeed is known to have close relations with the Pakistani Army and the ISI.

After Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamat-ud-Dawah, Hafiz Saeed led Kashmir Jihadist group is now being rebranded as Milli Muslim League Pakistan.

Incidentally, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan - the most vocal opponent of Nawaz Sharif - also finds himself in soup after a female party colleague accused him of sending obscene messages to women workers and leaders.

Earlier this week, the Pakisan's Punjab government extended the house arrest of Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed for two more months.

Hafiz Saeed has been placed under house arrest since January 31, when he was initially interned for 90 days. His house arrest was subsequently extended for another three months which expired on July 27. But, now the provincial government has extended the curbs on his movement for another two months.

Hafiz Saeed is accused of masterminding several terror strikes in India including the Mumbai 26/11 attacks and fomenting violence in Jammu and Kashmir.

Raheel, It Seems, Has Quit His Job

'News of Gen Raheel Sharif stopped at Saudi airport is fake'
Updated August 03, 2017
Dubai-based Arabic newspaper Emarat Al Youm has denied publishing any report about retired army chief Gen Raheel Sharif being stopped at a Saudi airport, calling the initial article that appeared online “fake”. The fabricated news — claiming that the former chief of army staff, who is now heading the Saudi-led Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism (IMAFT), was stopped from leaving the country by Saudi security forces — surfaced online on July 29.
However, Emarat Al Youm ran a clarification the next day, saying that the news was fabricated and posted on the website through a fake uniform resource locator (URL).
In the true "Arab and Paki Tradition" this was for Echendee purposes onlee
Gen Sharif had left for Riyadh from Lahore on April 21 to assume the command of the 41-nation IMAFT after the government cleared him to serve the coalition. From all intents and purposes, IMO, Raheel has had enough of Saudi palace intrigues,( in Arabic language !) And he was reduced to being a "showpiece" for the Young, Brash Prince. ( paying a million + dollars is no big thing for the spend thrift Saudis !) Without any real authority and nothing to do, he was paraded around when POTUS was in town, and was probably "introduced" ( wrongly IMO) as an experienced military commander, specializing in fighting " terrorism" ( read strafing innocent civilians of FATA with fighter jets !) . This, of course was too much for his Paki (giant sized ) ego . And probably skipped town in a private plane - which was stopped at an Saudi Airport . Maybe, the friction/ tussle was hushed up ( through the intervention of concerned parties !) to avoid an international incident. If that is the case, it could explain his sudden unexpected arrival at La-Whore Airport. And the deadly silence since that date . Maybe, he is sulking. Maybe, he had a hand in Ganja's dismissal . Maybe, he is keeping his political options . Maybe, he is going to blame Ganja for getting him into a mess in the first place . Lots of different versions of conspiracy theories
"This news is 'fabricated' and Emarat Al Youm has not published it," reads the clarification. “The group [behind the story] used a link similar to that of the newspaper website's URL [to] broadcast the false news." The newspaper, which also ran images of the “fake news”, said that "it holds a legal right to pursue anyone who intentionally defames its image or uses its name to spread its lies and fabrications." The old dictum " where there is smoke there is fire, holds good in this case !
Security sources within Pakistan have also confirmed that the news about Raheel Sharif being stopped at the airport is false. The foreign office spokesperson, however, refused to comment on the story during his weekly press briefing on Thursday.Pakistani lawmakers have had their reservations about IMAFT since the news of Gen Sharif's induction to head it came to light. IMO, if confirmed to be true, this may not bode well for Paki- Saudi brotherhood
In a session of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, held on June 21, PPP Senator Kareem Khawaja had voiced his dissatisfaction with Pakistan's role in the Gulf crisis and added that the former army chief should be asked to return to Pakistan voluntarily. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Senator Shibli Faraz pointed out that if Sharif was asked to return back to Pakistan, relations with Saudi Arabia would be negatively affected. The much dreaded prediction has come true. But GOP cannot be blamed . As the Paki Govt stated, Raheel went to Saudia in his "personal capacity" - whatever it means in this case, and returned back as a private citizen . Paki H&D could be said to be intact. Same cannot be said about Raheel's Echendee !
However, the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on June 21 told the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs that Gen Sharif had taken command of the 41-nation Saudi-led military coalition in his personal capacity, thus the government could not call him back. See, there you have it ! The Senile Advisor has spoken !

PS: If the above report is confirmed to be true, then it is a sad ending to a very glorious career for Raheel ( Kakul, US Military College, COAS, million dollar + "job" :D ) . In the end, true to Saudi tradition, he was treated like any other "Miskeen" ( i.e. non -Arab) from the sub -continent . No different from the driver from Swat recruited for a rich Saudi businessman . :D In the end, not allowed to leave the country, - above report . Wonder, if the "Crown Prince" is still holding on to "Raheel's passport" as a guarantee of his performance ( in Yemen !) . Hope the employer holds good on his "promise to pay" $ 1 Million plus

This is not a personal affair gone bad, this is politics as usual, Pak style. Im-the-Dim is the stooge of the Paki-affaj to depose Sharif. The specific clause of the constitution that was used to depose Sharif, from Hussain Haqqani's opEd is "...in violation of Article 62(1)(f) that demands that members of Parliament be “sagacious, righteous, non-profligate, honest and Ameen”. This is a preemptive attack by the Shariefs to portray Im-the-Dim as a profligate womanizer, unfit to hold the constitutional post under the same clause. After all, how can a skirt chaser be the PM of the Slamic Republic of Pakistan?

Ayesha Gulalai "Bad Mouths" Imran Khan And His PTI Party !

Will provide proof of allegations if summoned by court, parliament: Ayesha Gulalai
KARACHI: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai said on Thursday she will provide proof of her allegations if summoned by a court of law or a parliamentary committee. Gulalai was speaking on Geo News Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Sath. "I am not here speaking without evidence. I will not pursue it personally, however, if they go to some forum, I will cooperate," clarified Gulalai. Gulalai showed the alleged messages briefly to senior journalist Hamid Mir. "The messages showed to me add weightage to Ayesha Gulalai's claims, but they should be investigated," said Mir.
She lamented that the PTI had targetted her sister and added that her sister is non-political and should not have been dragged into the issue.
"Imran tried to portray himself as innocent during his interview today," said Gulalai. Gulalai, in a new revelation, also said PTI spokesperson Naeem-ul-Haque had also sent her a text message."Naeem-ul-Haque also sent a text after sometime stating, 'I am alone and want to marry'," claimed Gulalai. PTI is a "hot bed" of male chauvinism, according to other Paki Ayeshas ( Madame El - Jalebi excepted - because she " definitely looks like a mard" no ifs and buts about it )
She further said the purpose of her press conference was to caution women and to quit the party. Referring to the legal notice sent to her by PTI, she said that PTI initially tried to make a deal with her. "They have sent me a Rs30 million legal notice, I don't even have Rs300,000 in my account. They tried to make a deal." There are a "lot of legal eagles" in Immy's party who are willing to protect their patron !
She also claimed that she was called and asked by PTI's Awn Chaudry to not address the press conference delegation would have visited her to discuss the matter. The former PTI leader further said that her grievances were not only personal, but they were also related to public issues and corruption in the province. "Whatever I said was meant for the betterment of the women."
Earlier, the PTI served a legal notice to Gulalai demanding that she reply to the letter within 10 days or pay compensation to the tune of Rs 30 million.
Gulalai has alleged that Imran Khan sent her inappropriate text messages, but has not revealed any other details to support her allegations. Coming from a conservative Pukhtun home, these are "serious allegations" by the lady against the twice married and twice divorced ( and looking for a third "prospect " ) Immy Khan. Her marriageable value, for sure, have been dented by her allegations !
PS: Due to her conservative nature, she has been offered a political home by the Jamaat Islami party, who have asked her to defect to them . Whether she will be harassed there or not harassed there is an entirely different matter

In a telephone call made by Afridi he said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the only party which gives due respect to women. JI MNA Aysha Syed also visited Gulalai’s residence and formally invited her to join hands with them. Meanwhile, Ayesha Gulalai, the other day stated that she has kept all her options open and she will soon reveal her future line of options.
