India announces to issue medical visas for Pakistanis on Diwali
NEW DELHI – On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, India announced to grant medical visas to all Pakistani deserving cases pending.
<snip>
Doubt that this will somehow ,make a difference vis-a-vis Pakistan's use of Terrorism as an instrument of State Policy !
One will still need a surgical strike on ISI head-quarter, a travel ban of Pak MILITARY, repossession of their houses in Virginia etc -- to make a difference -- but I still have a huge respect for sheer kindness of Swarjji's heart.

Nevertheless her big heart should not fool Pakis as to her resolve.

Some interesting background.. (The following meeting, first high-level meeting in a long time, happened BEFORE the above tweet.
Pak envoy meets Indian Foreign Minister in New Delhi
NEW DELHI: In what is effectively the first high-level contact between India and Pakistani in months, Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj has met Pakistan High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood, official sources confirmed here.

Swaraj discussed bilateral relations with Mahmood, who officially took charge as Pakistan’s envoy to India only last month. Swaraj also touched upon India’s concerns over cross-border terrorism and asked for Islamabad to quickly bring to book the accused in Mumbai and Pathankot terror attacks.

Sources said the meeting with Mahmood took place earlier this week on Monday after her office was approached by the Pakistan envoy. Swaraj is also learnt to have mentioned the need for Pakistan to review its position on Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian spy ( What kind of TOI idiots will use this term  ) who remains in Pakistan’s custody, Times of India reported Saturday.

The Indian minister said that for any progress in bilateral relations Pakistan must drop all charges against Jadhav and send him back to India, media reports said. Jadhav’s case is currently being heard by the International Court of Justice which earlier this year stayed his death sentence.

This was Mahmood’s first meeting with a top government functionary after arriving in India. He is expected to meet NSA Ajit Doval and foreign secretary S Jaishankar in the next few days.

It is perhaps significant that days after the meeting – on Diwali – Swaraj announced that India will clear all medical visas sought by Pakistan nationals as a goodwill gesture. “On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, India will grant medical Visa in all deserving cases pending today,” tweeted Swaraj on Diwali.

Swaraj has also appealed to Islamabad to allow Jadhav’s mother to visit Pakistan and see her son.

Following example of Dawn's previous headline when India thrashed the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan 3-1 in the Asia Cup (Asia Cup: India survive Pakistan scare, top pool A with 3-1 victory), anticipate Dawn may put out this headline after the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan got thrashed by India in the Super 4’s :

Asia Cup: India survive Pakistan scare, enter Final with 4-0 victory

Pakis are already spinning -
Pakistan on Saturday confirmed that its new High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood had recently met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj but denied that any specific case came up for discussion during the talks...
The reports appearing about Kulbhushanji in the Indian media are speculative,’’
Paki Men-in-Burqua will be happy to know that the news is in Dawn too..

LAHORE: Pakistan women’s hockey team head coach Saeed Khan on Friday denied allegations of sexual harassment levelled at him by a player hours before the squad left for Brunei to participate in a three-nation Asia Challenges Cup.

On Thursday, training camp probable Syeda Sadia accused Saeed of harassing her.

Iqra Javed, a player selected for the Brunei-bound squad, came forward in Sadia’s support but she has been dropped on charges of indiscipline.

More surprisingly Nageen Babar, originally travelling with the team as an umpire, has been selected in Iqra’s place. Sadia has also made a complaint to Punjab sports minister, who has constituted a two-member committee which would start the inquiry after the national team returns.

Yet, Saeed was defiant on Friday.

“I’m not guilty at all and am ready to face any inquiry,” he said. “If I was guilty, I would’ve escaped from the camp but I’m here answering your [reporters’] questions.”

The secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) women’s wing Tanzeela Aamir, meanwhile, blamed former coach Mohammad Usman for causing this controversy and called for a life ban on him.

The tournament in Brunei, which runs from Oct 22 to 25, was reduced to just three teams after Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Uzbekistan and China pulled out, prompting concerns that the Asian Hockey Federation may cancel it.

Interestingly, while Hong Kong and Brunei will play two matches against each other, while Pakistan will face both teams just once.

US announces ‘full support’ for China Pakistan Economic Corridor
ISLAMABAD – The United States has announced full backing of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), acknowledging the mega-project’s benefits to people of the South Asian country, a Gulf-based newspaper has claimed. Endorsement is via phoren media
“We believe that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) — and particularly its focus on transportation infrastructure and energy development – has the potential to contribute to stability and prosperity in Pakistan and the region,” a US State Department spokesperson said in an email response to Gulf Today. c.c. send to Isloo and Paki Embassy in DC as well ?
The report in the newspaper further quoted the spokesman as saying that “the United States welcomes all development programmes that benefit the Pakistani people.” ( What about the Chini Naval Base at Gwadar ? Did the US announced" full support for this as well" )
The State Department official also tried to dispel the impression that the US is unhappy with close cooperation between Pakistan and China, a rising superpower, the report added. “We have a shared interest with China in a stable and prosperous Pakistan. China can play an important role in expanding and improving Pakistan’s infrastructure and promoting power generation projects.”
“We welcome new forms of infrastructure investment as long as they adhere to the high standards of international financial institutions related to governance, which encourage host country institution building, and which include transparent, debt sustainability, environmental, and social safeguards.” IOW, the Chini financed ( gamechanger! ) CPEC does not meet any of these criteria :D
The statement comes weeks after the US criticism by Defence Secretary James Mattis. In a statement before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Mattis had said that “the One Belt, One Road initiative goes through the disputed territory”, an obvious reference to CPEC’s route through Gilgit-Baltistan. Massa' left hand does not know what its right hand is doing
Both China and Pakistan had swiftly rejected the criticism on the corridor. But now Massa , through this E mail , has "reconcilied" and "fully supports" the Chini corridor
However, the latest US stance is likely to improve Washington’s ties with Islamabad which are already on the mend following a successful rescue operation by Pakistan’s security forces to free a North American family from Taliban captors. Hope is always eternal !!

Afghan Taliban contradict CIA chief’s claim of Canadian-American hostages being held in Pakistan
KABUL – The Afghan Taliban have categorically rejected CIA chief Mike Pompeo’s claim that the Canadian-American family were held hostage inside Pakistan for five years before being released.
‘They were not on Pakistan’s soil but in Paktia [province of] Afghanistan,’ Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid stated. It has been proved beyond any doubt - so many many times - that the strings of Afghan Taliban- are being pulled by the Paki Deep State, so it is hard to digest this "news"

Londonistan Exile Looks More And More Attractive For Ganja Sharif

Nawaz Sharif expresses concerns over abduction of PML-N’s social media activists
LONON – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his concerns over the alleged abduction and harassment of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz cyber activists, terming it an attack on freedom of media.
In a brief statement issued from Lonson on Saturday, Nawaz Sharif said that it was the constitutional responsibility of the government to respect and ensure protection of freedom of speech offline and on social media.
And adding fuel to the fire, this provocative prediction by Randi-baaz Rashid on the fate of Ganja Muslim League

PM Abbasi, CM Shehbaz among other bigwigs to leave PML-N: Sheikh Rasheed
LAHORE – Awami Muslim League Chairman Sheikh Rasheed has predicted that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) bigwigs will leave the party in coming days amid indictment of Nawaz Sharif in corruption cases.
He was addressing media outside his residence on Friday claimed that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chaudhry Nisar, Shehbaz Sharif, Saad Rafique and other stalwarts will abandon the party.Around 40 leaders, including complete leadership of Southern Punjab are about to take decision in this regard, he claimed in a programm on a private news channel.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada, who slammed own government for fake IB, list, said that Nawaz Sharif should leave the post of party president until matters settled. IMO, Ch. Nisar is the go-between the Fauj on the one hand and Shahbaaz , the caretaker on behalf of Ganja on the other hand ! These two have been in talks with each other !

Defence.pk blocked in Pakistan. But why?
LAHORE – Internet users woke up on Saturday to see unexpected shutdown of Defence.pk, a popular website in Pakistan, sparking speculations among the social media users.
“The site you are trying to access contains content that is prohibited for viewership from within Pakistan,” :D a message reads when the site is accessed.
While the ‘largest digital forum’ has “decided not to lay any blames until we have completed our technical analysis”, its administration is actively sharing posts on micro blogging site Twitter.
Following the shutdown, one of the social media users wrote on the Twitter handle of Defence.pk that “One of You must have criticised someone powerful in yr country”.In reply, the forum said: “Criticism is protected under article 19. It is too early to say of someone corrupt but powerful individual is trying to suppress our voice.
Only the country’s chief regulator, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), can block an internet website for violating its code of conduct. PEMRA not in the "blocking game"

China fears envoy in Pakistan might be attacked, requests more security

The Chinese embassy in Pakistan has requested more security for its ambassador in the wake of information that he is likely to be attacked.

Quoting sources, Express News reported that in a letter written to the interior ministry, the Chinese embassy has said that a terrorist had entered the country to attack Yao Jing.

The embassy has requested the government to take immediate action on the intelligence information, and provide security to the ambassador.

Retired Senator Says That Nawaz Sharif Removed By Security Establishment For Two Reasons: (i) Going After Pervez Musharaf (ii) Efforts To Normalize Ties With India

Contours of the endgame
Afrasiab Khattak
The creeping coup has taken quite a long time to reach the endgame. It all started soon after the newly elected government of Muslim League led by Nawaz Sharif assumed power after winning the general election in 2013. The fault lines between the elected civilian government and the so-called permanent state (security establishment) appeared quite soon.
The first issue that led to a rift between the two sides was the determination of Nawaz Sharif to normalize relations with the neighbors in general and with India in particular. The policy of reconciliation with India is a red rag to the security establishment as a confrontation with the big neighbor to the east is the ideological basis of the security state and a justification for the hegemony of security establishment over the state system.
The second issue that polarized relations between civilian and military branches of the state were the decision of Nawaz Sharif government to put the former military dictator General (r) Pervez Musharraf on trial for abrogating the Constitution. General Musharraf has the dubious distinction of abrogating the Constitution twice; first in 1999 and again in 2007. Fauj will never allow "humiliation" of one of their own !
The government wanted to put him on trial for the second abrogation because unlike other cases in the past, the Supreme Court neither upheld the abrogation in 2007 nor was it later condoned by the Parliament. So it appeared an open and shut case. When the Special Tribunal decided to indict Pervez Musharraf in the high treason case, the retired general took refuge in a military hospital ("buzzdil" Kammandu  ) and refused to appear before the court.
After a brief standoff between state institutions, the former dictator was allowed by the court on “ medical grounds” to go abroad after some behind the scene manipulations. Once out of the country, General Musharraf wasn’t shy of saying on record that he was helped by the former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in going abroad. ( Mush suffers from "foot in mouth" disease !)
Most of the older political parties had learned their lesson in the musical chairs game of 1990. But Imran Khan ( PM in waiting !. ) of the PTI was prepared to lend his shoulder to the deep state for use against Nawaz Sharif government in hope for a shortcut to power through political engineering. The sit-in in 2014 against “ rigged elections “ was phase one.
The rabble-rousers to justify the intervention of anti-democratic forces attacked state television station. Not only that. Now we know that special messengers had also called upon the PM warning him to resign or be prepared to face the music of the martial law. But that was not to be for two reasons.
One, most of the political parties rallied around the Constitutional system and publicly declared to unite against the putsch. Two, the PM kept his nerve and refused to bow to the machinations of the deep state. After the horrible massacre of school children and teachers in APS Peshawar in December 2014 in a terrorist attack, the putschists were forced to back off.But as we learned later, the retreat was temporary. They were waiting for the first available opportunity. Direct coup not possible. The Kerry-Lugar Thing !
Leakage of Panama Papers in 2015 provided what was later called a God-given opportunity by the putschists. The deep state and its cheerleaders pounced on this opportunity in the name of “ accountability, “ and the creeping coup that had started in 2014 found a way to enter the next stage. As the contours of the endgame are now emerging the irony is crystalizing. After all, it is the same old game.
“ Accountability” has been the main political plank of all the putschists for showing the door to civilian government, from Ayub Khan to Zia-ul-Haq and Pervez Musharraf. The only difference is that the process would start after the dismissal of the civilian set up but this time rounds a sitting Prime Minister has been targeted by successful political engineering of the deep state.Probably after 18th Constitutional Amendment (2010), there is no room for direct open interference by the non-democratic forces. So the higher judiciary equipped by JIT had to do the job.But the job is done quite crudely.Out of hundreds of names in Panama Papers, only one family has been singled out for “accountability. If Ganja had toed the "fauji line" - do not "touch" Mush and "go hard" on India - he would still be PM !
As if that wasn’t enough, the deepest irony is that after so much sound and fury over Panama Nawaz Sharif wasn’t disqualified on it. He was disqualified over a UEA stay visa and the proposed salary from his son’s firm that wasn’t withdrawn by him. Ganja of course is a first class crook, but this "small error" nailed him !
The answer to the following two questions can determine the outcome of the next round of the power politics. One, Nawaz Sharif during the last four years weakened himself by sidelining the Parliament and by ignoring the significance of alliance among democratic forces. ( If he had shown "sympathy" towards Dus Percenti's quarrel with the Deep State, that would have helped him also during his time of need !). Has he learned his lessons and will he behave differently in the new round? Two, Pakistan is facing severe prospects of international isolation on the question of extremist militancy in the country. Will the security establishment, which cannot deny links with the elements as mentioned earlier anymore, is willing to or capable of jettisoning this liability?

Indian Citizen Still Being Kept In Pakistani Jail, Even After Serving His Sentence

IHC turns down Indian HC plea seeking national’s release
ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday turned down a petition of the Indian High Commission seeking the release of Indian national Rafiq Jutt, who was arrested by Pakistan Army in 2008, and later tried and convicted for five years imprisonment in 2012.
IHC judge Aamer Farooq took up the petition and dismissed it terming it non-maintainable. Paki justice is a farce !
The India High Commission had moved the petition through Malik Shahnawaz and nominated the Federation of Pakistan through the secretary interior, the secretary defense, the home secretary Sindh and the secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs as respondents.
It was stated in the petition that the convict was a Muslim and an Indian citizen of the state of Gujarat who visited Pakistan on a valid visa in 2008 when the Pakistan Army apprehended him. . The petition said that after the arrest, Jutt was tried under Pakistan Army Act (PAA) section 59 of the Official Secret Act 1923. Jutt tried to prove his innocence before the court but he was convicted for five years rigorous imprisonment. He was kept in different jails and presently he was confined at the Central Jail Karachi.
It said that the sentence was awarded to him on March 8, 2012, that expired on March 7, 2017. Since Jutt has completed his sentence and now the authorities have no concerns with him and he may be released. The petitioner contended that Jutt was an Indian citizen and hence his matter directly comes under the Ministry of Interior Pakistan that has the authority to arrange the release of the convict by ordering the home secretary Sindh.
The Indian High Commission adopted that during Jutt’s period of punishment only two opportunities were afforded to the high commission officials to meet the convict on June 1, 2012, and June 5, 2013.It said that it forwarded many requests to the foreign affairs officials for the release of the convict on humanitarian grounds as he was also suffering from tuberculosis but no reply has been given. The petitioner had prayed to the court to direct the respondents to arrange the release of Jutt, however, the court dismissed the plea.

Unsound projects

Capital suggestion

‘Unsound economic projects’ are the new weapons of war. In the 70s, President Richard Nixon ordered the CIA to “make the [Chilean] economy scream (declassified documents relating to the military coup, September 11, 1973)”. Lo and behold, Pakistan’s economy is screaming today.

For the record, Pakistani leaders stand convinced of taking on additional layers of debt on top of existing layers of debt.

For the record, Pakistani leaders stand convinced of ‘adopting economic policies that are bound to impoverish’ Pakistan.

For all of us to see, ‘uneconomical, financially non-viable and fiscally unsound’ projects are being bankrolled. The 27-kilometer Orange Line, the light rail rapid transit system, is expected to cost Rs162 billion. The estimated breakeven is Rs175 per ticket. At Rs20 a ticket, the Orange Line will lose Rs40 million a day or Rs14 billion a year every year. Plus, an additional Rs4 billion for operation and maintenance. Assuming that the Chinese loan is concessional, the debt payment of interest and principal is estimated at around Rs10 billion a year. Red alert: The debt burden is in dollars and the project loses money.

Imagine, the Government of Pakistan has guaranteed an annual Return on Equity (ROE) of 34.49 percent for the Thar Coal Block-I Power Generation Company (Private) Limited. The project cost is estimated at $767 million of which $575 million is debt. The interest rate used as the reference is Inter Bank Offer Rate (LIBOR) of 0.45 percent plus 450 basis points (https://nepra.org.pk/Tariff/IPPs/003%20 ... 6-2016.PDF).

For the record, the annual Return on Equity guaranteed by the Government of Pakistan on the Sahiwal Coal Power Project stands at a tall 27.2 percent. The interest rate used as the reference is Inter Bank Offer Rate (KIBOR) of 11.91 percent plus 350 basis points. The project cost is estimated at $956 million of which $723 million is debt (https://nepra.org.pk/Tariff/IPPs/Huanen ... 385-87.pdf).

Red alert: This is awfully expensive electricity. Our industry cannot produce exportable competitive products with this electricity. Resultantly, we will have a huge dollar-denominated debt servicing burden but no additional exports.

Nandipur has gone from $329 million to $847 million. Neelum-Jhelum has gone from Rs15 billion to Rs414 billion. The New Islamabad Airport has gone from Rs37 billion to over Rs100 billion. Imagine, the tariff for Nandipur is: Refined Furnace Oil Rs18.17/kWh; High Speed Diesel Rs27.91/kWh and Gas Rs8.44/kWh.

Pakistan is getting crowded with ‘unsound economic projects’. Debt is the new weapon of war – debt that leads to ‘emergency managers’ and ‘emergency managers’ then “turn over the reins of the economy” to their political masters. The combination of unsound economic projects, debt, enforced austerity (by the IMF) and under-investment in health and education are the new weapons of war. This is what the 4th Generation War is all about.

Missiles, as weapons of war, are out. Unsound economic projects, as weapons of war, are in. Tanks, as weapons of war, are out. Debt, as a weapon of war, is in. Cold start, as a weapon of war, is dead. An economic strategy based on unsound economic projects is in. Open warfare is out; covert economic operations are in. Military force is out; financial warfare is in.

Chinese embassy says its envoy may be attacked

ISLAMABAD: The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan has requested more security for its ambassador in the wake of information that he is likely to be attacked.

Quoting sources, a private channel on Saturday reported that in a letter written to the Interior Ministry, the Chinese Embassy had said that a terrorist had entered the country to attack Yao Jing.

The embassy requested the government to take immediate action on the intelligence information and provide security to the ambassador.

The letter, the sources said, written by the focal person for CPEC Ping Ying Fi identifies the militant as Abdul Wali, who belongs to the banned East Turkestan Independence Movement (ETIM), an extremist group which largely operates in the Chinese border Xinjiang region.

Paki Abduls "Not Yet Ready" For Equal Rights For Transgenders

Morgue refuses to keep transgender's body as its 'freezers will get dirty'
PESHAWAR:
The management of the Khyber Medical College (KMC) morgue in Peshawar has refused to keep the body of a transgender person who was found murdered in the Darmangi area on Saturday. “They [management] have told us that the body is too decomposed and it would make their freezers dirty,” transgender rights activist Qamar Naseem told The Express Tribune. IMO, the same "policy" would apply, if the body belonged to a Hindu, a Christian or an Ahmedi !
“Not only that, the government contractor has also refused to bury the body,” he added. “It’s extremely shameful the way a human’s body is being treated.” Sanctity of a human body etc etc are concepts that have gained currency only because of social media and the globalization of society. People's belief take a long time to change !
The activist said the body was now being handed over to the Edhi Foundation for burial. “We had asked the morgue’s management to keep the body for just one night and they even refused to do that,” Naseem maintained. The morgue at the KMC is the only such facility in the entire province. The body of Arif alias Wara was found in the Ashiqabad area earlier in the day.A police official told The Express Tribune that there were torture marks on the body and the throat was slit. The body was sent to the KMC for an autopsy. Imran party ruled KP is probably the "most conservative" province in Pakiland. They are "not yet ready" for equal rights  !
“This is the 53rd transgender person killed since 2015 and we have around 300 cases of violence against transgender persons on record including rape, gang rape, kidnapping and torture,” he said, adding that the violence against transgender people was far from over and it was because the police was not taking the issue seriously.

Feudel Dus Percenti Gifts Pedigree Horse To Fellow Feudal

Asif Zardari gifts a pedigree horse to Hakmeen Khan
Former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has presented a high pedigree horse to senior PPP leader Malik Hakmeen Khan.Malik Hakmeen Khan is one of the most senior leaders of the party who was provincial minister during Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s era in 1970s. He sacrificed a lot for the party and democracy during General Ziaul Haq’s tenure and was incarcerated for a long period. Zardari is pulling all the stops in his effort to make inroads for his party (PPP) in Pakjab, following the sudden downfall of Ganja and his party (PML-N) in the heart land of Pakiland ! . This gesture can be understood in that context

PS. Zardari Junior ( Bilawal ) has been asked to make "speeches" and improve his rhetoric skills !

Dus Percenti On An Attack Mode: Sharif Brothers Tried To Assaissinate Me Twice Says Zardari

Sharif brothers tried to assassinate me twice: Asif Ali Zardari
LAHORE – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif twice planned to assassinate him.
Zardari, 62, said that Sharif brothers plotted his murder when he was going to a court to attend his hearing. “The Sharif brothers – former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his younger brother Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif – twice planned my murder in captivity in 1990s,” Zardari said while speaking to party workers at Bilawal House Lahore on Saturday.Zardari further said Nawaz has been trying to make a contact with him to seek his support but “I have refused”. I am no fan of either Ganja or Dus Percenti. Both are equally corrupt and incompetent . But IMO, Dus Percenti is allowing himself to be used - by the Deep State - to malign Ganja , his family and his party . Not good for "Paki Democracy" in the long run !
“I have not yet forgotten what they [Sharifs] have done to Benazir Bhutto [his wife] and me. We forgave them and signed Charter of Democracy, but still Mian sahib [Nawaz] betrayed me and went to court in memogate in order to label me a traitor,” he said.Schadenfreude
The memogate controversy revolved around a memorandum seeking help of the Obama administration in the wake of the Osama bin Laden raid to avert a military takeover of the civilian government in Pakistan.
“The Sharif brothers cannot be trusted this time around and I will not shake hands with them,” the PPP leader added. “They change colour so quickly. When they are in trouble they are ready to cooperate with you…. when in absolute power they hit you smartly,” Zardari added.
Zardari has been hitting out at Sharifs since disqualification of Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case on 28 July by a Supreme Court bench. :D

Pakistan is going to be free of load shedding by december this year. Total demand is 19,000 MW and new coal based power plants financed by China with capacity to generate 13,000 MW will be coming online in 4-5 years. In addition LNG terminals are either being set up or planned which will generate 3,000 MW of electricity. Also there are additional plants of varying size (Wind, Solar, Hydro based) coming up.

Pakistan has committed to pay huge interest (on chinese power plants) and annual LNG purchases to Qatar. Question is who is going to use all this power? Even if pakistan grows at 5% annually its power usage will be maximum 25,000 MW in 2022. what will happen to the extra and minimum 10,000 MW power capacity which will run idle? There are going to be ghost power plants in pakistan and you will see a situation where different lobbies representing the LNG and coal based power plants will be forcing pakistan to give them preference in buying power from.

Pakistan will have no option but to increase cost of power to the end consumer and to its industry. It is sinking deeper and deeper :rotfl:

Attack Helicopter Being Acquired From Ummah Brother In Name Of "Fighting Terrorism"

Pakistan negotiating terms[*] for purchase of T-129 attack helicopter from Turkey[/b]

[*] = IOW finding ways and means of finding the money to pay for the "brand new toys" [/color]
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while talking to Pakistani and Turkish media after taking test-flight of Turkish attack helicopter T-129 has said Turkish Defence production industry is one of the best in the world and second to none.According to Radio Pakistan, the PM appreciated the Turkish aircraft and termed it impressive and good machine. Is this the quid pro quo for the Turkish teachers recently deported to Turkey !
He lauded the Turkish aviation industry as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for such achievements in the defence production.Answering a question about Pakistan's plan of purchasing T-129 helicopters, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said, our army is evaluating the helicopter, and we are negotiating the contract and terms. Massa Technology not being re-exported to Pakiland ? Aircraft probably is indigenous made .
Abbasi also inspected the helicopter, where he was briefed by the Turkish aviation officials about the specifications and technical parameters of the combat chopper.President and Chief Executive Officer of Turkish Aerospace Industries, Temel Kotil said that T-129 was a light weight attack helicopter equipped with missiles and guns. Will be "tested" on the Baluchis and the Pakhtuns in the name of "fighting terrorism"

Where There Is ETIM, RAA Is Not Far Behind :D

RAW ETIM nexus unveiled behind Chinese envoy threats and CPEC sabotage
ISLAMABAD – The Chinese Embassy in Islamabad has written a letter to the interior ministry, saying that a terrorist tasked to attack Ambassador Yao Jing has entered Pakistan.
A nexus of Indian Intelligence RAW with the ETIM has been unveiled which is already causing terrorism in China's Xinkiang. The nexus is being operated and trained from Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzstan agencies have revealed.
After the downfall of the RAW – TTP nexus which has gone much weeker over the years now RAW has pinned hopes on the ETIM to sabotage the CPEC Project and the Chinese nationals in Pakistan . RAA is always the "most reliable" bogeyman for all Paki woes !!!
The multibillion-dollar CPEC project, dubbed ‘game-changer for the region, will connect the Xinjiang region with Pakistan’s deep seaport of Gwadar through a network of rail and roads.

The funniest joke here is that Pakistan did not have a major power generation shortfall in the first place, the power shortage and loadshedding is reportedly due to transmission issues, which they have not done anything to address.

Pakistan doesn't want arms race in South Asia: Farukh Amil

Against the backdrop of India’s weapons-buying spree, Pakistan has expressed its concerns over the growing transfer of conventional armaments to volatile regions.

“It has the potential to jeopardise regional balance,” Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN in Geneva Farukh Amil said at a meeting of the UN General Assembly’s Disarmament and International Security Committee, Radio Pakistan reported.

He added that this troubling trend could be seen in South Asia where one state’s military spending grossly overshadowed all others.

Amil said Pakistan was committed to the establishment of strategic stability in South Asia.

“Pakistan neither wants, nor is it engaged in an arms race in the region,” he maintained. Liar, Liar Pants on Fire. Now that the USA has STOPPED SUPPLYING TERRORISTAN FREE ARMS & EQUIPMENT however Terroristan has HALF THE ARMAMENT as India Military power comparison results for India vs. Terroristan With One-Ninth the Economy as India, it is Terroristan that is fueling the ARMS RACE!

Earlier this year, India allocated INR2.74 trillion for the country’s military spending for the upcoming fiscal year, an increase of 9.5 per cent compared to the previous year’s INR2.49 trillion.

A Stockholm-based think-tank reported earlier this year that India was the world’s largest importer of major arms in the last five years and its overseas procurement was far greater than that of China and Pakistan.

As per the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) report, India accounted for 13 per cent of the total global arms import between 2012–16 which is highest among all the countries.

In June, the Trump administration authorised the sale of a naval variant of the Predator drone to India.

The deal involves the sale of 22 unarmed drones, worth more than $2 billion.

India has also signed a $2.5 billion missile deal with Israel wherein both nations will jointly develop a medium range surface-to-air missile system for the Indian military.

Dus Percenti Rules Sehwan In Sind. Shuts Out Imran Khan :D

‘Fearful’ Zardari closed doors of Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine, says Imran
SEHWAN: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on Sunday blamed Asif Zardari for denying him the opportunity to pay respect at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine after a rally in the city.PTI Chief was in Sehwan where he addressed a rally taking on Pakistan People's Party government for its failure to serve the people of Sindh. Immy is master of "hyperbole" and "double speak" !
"The oppression and fascism of Zardari and his cohorts was evident not only in their denying us permission to hold jalsa in the city....... and even more shameful, having doors of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine closed when we went to pay our respects," Khan tweeted.PTI leader also added that 'Asif Zardari is fearful of PTI'. Sehwan is Zardari territory. Secondly, Imran Khan - being a die hard Taliban supporter - does not subscribe to the softer Sufi version of Islam , and therefore he is at the wrong place at the wrong time :D
Meanwhile, DC Jamshoro Farid Mustafa has dismissed Imran Khan claims, saying the officials stopped PTI leaders from bringing armed bodyguards with them. They made it an issue and returned, he added.
“Imran Khan was not stopped to pay respect at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar,” the DC Jamshoro said and added that Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other senior PTI leaders visited the mausoleum. Immy wanted to show his "clout" here . Did not work . End of story.
