Analysts are attaching great significance to the visit of the army chief as part of Pakistan’s efforts to ensure a delicate balance in its ties with Saudi Arabia and Iran. They said that the army chief’s visit to Iran comes just weeks after Gen Qamar paid a quiet visit to Saudi Arabia.
Usually this important role is delegated to "elected" civilian leadership and top bureaucrats and diplomats. With the political leadership in bakistan is total disarray, and baki diplomats and bureaucrats not worth the titles, it seems that the paki army has decided to take on those roles. The soft non-coup coup is almost complete. Only the judiciary is left to overcome.

What's that you said? Paki army holds its own courts on matters related to terrorism, treason and land? OK, we can now take judiciary off the list too.

Paki army has always had those roles in a vice-like grip, since the days of Benazir Bhutto I, it was made clear to the civvies that Security, Defense and Foreign Affairs, were under the exclusive domain of Paki army.

Rumours Of US- Pakistan Marriage Breakdown Are Just That - Rumours !!!!

Pakistan welcomes US role to resolve conflict with India: Asif
ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday welcomed the role of the United States to resolve the tensions between Pakistan India.
The foreign minister was addressing a session regarding Pakistan-US dialogue at the fourth meeting of Track 2-1.5 dialogue. He added that there is need to tackle water issues. "Water" now added to the list, which of course, includes "Kashmir" :
Raising objections to the US policy on South Asia, Asif said that Pakistan desired a peaceful Afghanistan. He said that drugs production and lawlessness on the rise in the neighbouring country, adding that Pakistan could not be held responsible for deterioration in Afghanistan.Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua, US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale and Wilson Center Asia Program Deputy Director Michael Kugelman and others also attended the meeting. Sounds like a "kiss and make up" session, promoted and paid by the US Embassy / Govt !
Addressing the gathering, Hale defended the US policy and said that it was based on regional realities and aimed at eliminating terrorist hideouts. He stressed the need to put pressure on Taliban until they agreed to hold talks and respect rights of women and minorities.Saying the relation between the US and Pakistan are not at normal level, Kugelman said that Washington would need Islamabad until he leaves Afghanistan. Washington needs Pakistan to hold its hand, so it does not fall off a mountain cliff in Afghanistan. The guide cum client ( ie Pakistan ) may ask for "lots of money" due to the "danger" involved
The fourth round of Track 2-1.5 dialogue will end on November 7. The first round of the dialogue was held in Kabul, second in Washington and third in Islamabad. Wilson Center, US think-tank, and US Department of State have organised the session. From this report, it appears that the earlier rumours of a "marriage breakdown" appear to be exaggerated. POTUS' s warnings to Pakiland were just blusters :D

Good news, bakiyon. Just like the power shortage ...

Water shortage in country will continue till December, says minister
the country was facing a water shortage due to 'hydro-meteorological conditions'
...the prevailing water crisis in the country had first surfaced in September 2017...the situation was expected to remain the same until the end of this year.
According to the documents submitted, Irsa had previously anticipated a 20 per cent shortfall for the rabi season of 2017-18. However, experts said that figure is now likely to be higher.

More news that directly affects the baki HS&D

India cracks open Iran sea route to Afghanistan, bypassing Pakistan :((
India has committed $500 million to the Chabahar port that it is building as a way to bypass rival Pakistan and crack open a trade and transport route to landlocked Afghanistan, as well as the resource-rich countries of central Asia.
India is expanding its economic diplomacy in Afghanistan, seeing itself as a regional power. But Pakistan says India is trying to use Afghanistan as a base to destabilise Pakistan, and has long blocked India from conducting bilateral trade with Afghanistan using its territory as transit.
India has framed its involvement in Chabahar’s development as primarily about establishing a gateway to Afghanistan, more than Iran itself, Indian officials and a Western diplomatic source said.
An Indian government source said India Global Ports Ltd (IGPL), a company set up by the government to lead the Chabahar project
Bakistan demands that India invests the double the amount on baki infrastructure and industries in order for the bakis to even consider returning to the table for peaceful negotiations and maintaining parity.

West Indies tour postponed due to Lahore smog
The much-awaited three-match T20 series between Pakistan and the West Indies, slated to be held later this month, is likely to be postponed, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials told DawnNews on Monday.
A senior PCB official said the thick blanket of smog in Lahore, [where the matches were expected to be held], and the commitment of West Indies' major players to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) became the main reasons for the postponement of the bilateral T20 series.
The tour is expected to take place after March 2018
But...but...but...the matches could have been held in peaceful pissahour or quitter where there is no smog, and peace reigns.

War with India not an option, says Pakistan PM

LONDON: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that war is not an option with India and that only talks can resolve all outstanding issues including Kashmir.

Addressing a conference on 'Future of Pakistan 2017' at the London School of Economics' South Asia Centre here on Saturday, Abbasi described Kashmir as a "core issue" and said relations with India will remain tense until that is resolved.

"Kashmir is the core issue with India. Until that is resolved, Pakistan-India relations will remain tense. We are always open to talks at any level and talks are the way forward. War is not an option," Abbasi said.

Highlighting India's Cold Start Doctrine among recent developments, Abbasi said Pakistan had a "deterrent" in place.

"We have a deterrent to that (Cold Start Doctrine) but I don't think deterrents where both sides are nuclear powers is a solution to any problem. The only solution is continued talks," the Pakistani leader noted.

He, however, expressed little hope of any significant movement with talks between the countries as both are prepared for elections - Pakistan next year and India the year after.

"Any expectation of a great initiative is probably misplaced," Abbasi said.

He also dismissed any support for an independent Kashmir on the ground, while addressing questions from students at the LSE conference on Saturday.

"I have not seen support for that concept (independent Kashmir). This is something that is floated often but it really has no basis in reality. The solution lies with the Security Council resolution that the people are given the right of determination," he said.

Abbasi, who took charge of the Pakistani government in August following the disqualification of the Nawaz Sharif led PML(N) government by the country's Supreme Court, said that while there was "never a dull moment in Pakistan's political life", the country has achieved a level of stability despite the challenges that remain.

The central message of his keynote address at the conference was that the world must acknowledge Pakistan as the country fighting "the largest war on which is the leading source of terror in the world".

"Pakistan is spreading fighting terror for all over the the world and we are committed to fighting supporting this menace," he asserted.

Giving a snapshot of the country's foreign policy and relations with global powers, Abbasi claimed that there was a greater understanding of Pakistan's role in the war on terror in the US and that Pakistan-US ties must not be seen only through the prism of Afghanistan. Au contraire Monsieur Premier Ministre! Votre pays est vraiment la source de toute la terreur dans le monde!

If Terroristan does not support independent Kashmir, then why support stone throwers for 'Azadi'? Also, Azad JK should no longer be 'Azad' JK. Thanks Abbasi for clarifying Kashmir is a land grab issue for Pakistan and has nothing to do with the 'will of the people' or referendum that every Terroristani keeps parroting ad nauseam.

Pak will welcome US mediation in easing tension with India: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday said his country will welcome the US' mediation in easing tensions with India but is opposed to President Donald Trump's proposal to give a bigger role to New Delhi in war- torn Afghanistan.

Addressing the media after the fourth round of Pakistan- US Track-II diplomatic talks here, Asif said giving more role to India in Afghanistan would result in more chaos there.

President Trump had sought bigger role for India in his new South Asia policy, but Pakistan is against giving India an expanded role in Afghanistan.

The minister said that the US has assured Pakistan that New Delhi's role in Afghanistan will be limited to economic assistance only. Liar, Liar Pants on Fire - India refuses to send "Boots on the Ground in Afghanistan!"

"Pakistan welcomes mediation by the United States in easing its ties with India as Pakistan has always opted for comprehensive dialogue for peaceful neighbourhood," he said addressing the US-Pakistan Bilateral Dialogue - 'Convergence amid Divergence: Identifying Pathways to Cooperation in a Challenging Environment'. Le ministre des Affaires étrangères continue de vivre dans l'espoir et vous mourrez dans le désespoir

India has maintained that there is no role for a third party in resolving the Kashmir issue which Pakistan says is the "core issue" in the Indo-Pak relations.

He also said that Afghanistan should deal with the issue of terrorists safe havens which are used to launch attack in Pakistan.

The minister also emphasised that SAARC should be made active and steps be taken for promotion of regional trade as the region has long been suffering due to instability in Afghanistan.

Asif said Pakistan's effective counter-terrorism efforts have dismantled the surge of terrorist networks. Terroristani lying through his Teeth

He said that with self defence and self-interest being our first priority, we are fully committed to protect the sovereignty of our motherland. Pakziang's Sovirginity lies in the hands of Chairman Eleven Gin Pegs!

Asif said Pakistan would not allow its soil to be used against any other country. Of course India is an Exception!

In the era of challenging and complex international relations, states should focus on long-term partnerships and cooperation, he said.

The minister said Pakistan has also reached out to other regional countries and regional fora like SAARC in its efforts for peace in Afghanistan.

Stressing that intelligence sharing is imperative for improving border management with Afghanistan, Asif said that the US should share timely intelligence and Pakistan will take action.

"With peace and stability in Afghanistan as our ultimate goal, we have been and are ready to extend every possible cooperation to achieve that end," he said.

Asif also said it is unfair to blame Pakistan for whatever ails Afghanistan today as his country has eliminated terrorism from its soil after great sacrifices and now there are no terrorist safe havens here.

Talking to media, the minister said differences in Pak-US bilateral relations were only misconceptions which are being put aside by continued dialogue.

He said that the recent high-level exchanges between the two countries have cleared the air and "we look forward to confidence building to achieve the goal of peace in the region".

Building (Afghan) transit trade’s coffin
Business Recorder
For much too long we have believed Kabul to be dependent on Islamabad for trade. Even as transit trade tickled away from Pakistan to Iran, there was little change in the status quo. So far, we have already lost 40 percent of our trade to Iran and this trend is worsening. The latest sea route from India to Afghanistan via Iran is the next nail in the coffin of Afghan transit trade, the coffin that we are helping build. Paki blackmail has been dealt a death blow
On one hand we have Indian investment in Chabahar’s port that sent its first wheat shipment to Afghanistan last week. India has also opened an air freight corridor to increase access to the Afghan market. On the other hand, trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan via Torkham came to a halt this week. Custom authorities demanded clearing agents to show several documents related to import and export; a requirement that had not be implemented previously and hence caught the traders unprepared while nearly 800 loaded trucks remained stranded on both side of the border. This will feed alienation towards Pakistan on both sides of the border !
While Pakistan ignores the crumbling transit trade, India has been busy building it. India is investing $500 million in Chabahar port to build new terminals, cargo berth and connecting road and rail lines to improve linkages with Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics. In the coming month, India plans to send six more wheat consignments totaling 1.1 million tons to Afghanistan. Work on Chabahar will take about a year to finish and will increase the port’s capabilities from 2.5 million tonnes to 8 million tons. India’s investments in Chabahar threaten Pakistan on two fronts. Firstly, India is muscling out Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan and secondly we lose out on Afghanistan’s transit trade since India is one of the top exporters to Afghanistan that utilizes Pakistan’s routes. No more !
Already half the wheat flour mills and related businesses have closed down in Peshawar while we take steps to increase the trade deficit rather than decrease it, he said. “The government needs to understand that there is no difference between dollars coming in from the US, the EU or Afghanistan. This is our market that we are losing out on”, he added.
India is taking advantage of Pakistan’s laxness and lack of concern to build and solidify its trade route. If the current state of affairs continues, Pakistan will lose Afghanistan’s growing and fertile market. And once lost, it will be almost impossible to recover due to India’s superior quality and trade facilitation efforts. Bijnas is Bijnas . Pakis need to know that !"Islamic solidarity" does not determine "who gets the bijnas"

Welcome to Pakistan : Pakistan should become a secular state, but how realistic is that? - An Exercise in Futility
In one of my articles last year, I tried to make a normative case for secularism in Muslim countries. I argued that given the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and growing sectarianism, there is a case of secularism in Muslim countries. Since a secular state is religiously neutral, therefore it would allow various sects in Islam, as well as non-Muslim minorities, to practice their faith freely.

Govt announces elections in first week of August 2018
Pakistan will have its polls for the year 2018 in the first week of August, a government official said on Monday, reported Waqt News. Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said the incumbent National Assembly will complete its tenure till June 2018. "Fresh elections will be held in the first week of August 2018," he added.

If
( it is a BIG if ) Ganja's party wins the election, Immy Khan will cry foul again. If Nawaz party loses the election, they will accuse the Election Commission of colluding with the "Deep State"
Railways Minister Saad Rafique Saturday criticised opposition PPP and PTI for their ‘unsupportive’ attitude, reminding them of the November 10 deadline given by the election authorities for the legislation to ensure on-time elections

Chinification Reaches A Higher Level

First 'CPEC marriage' pics go viral
A wedding photograph of a Chinese man and a Pakistani woman has taken the world of social media by storm.
Pictures shared on social media show the unidentified couple as they take part in their wedding ceremony. So, Pakistan ( as a bride!) is "spreading its legs" for the Chini mard ( hope that the "Chini" is well aware that Pakistan is not a "virgin" - having slept with Massa etc etc
Some 30,000 Chinese are working on different development projects, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a major cooperation project between the two countries. Hope the Mullah Brigade has a plan of action to stop the interbreeding of the two fliends , and the consequent danger to Paki "culture and Eidology"
China has also surged to become by far the biggest source of foreign direct investment (FDI) for Pakistan , topping $1 billion in 2016/17, and is betting on its neighbour at a time when many Western companies are still put off by security concerns and corruption. Chickens will come home to roost when the full loans become due, due to non-compliance And Paki Land will become Chini Land under the iron clad terms of the agreement !

Exchange of rings  Does not appear to be an Islami coupling !!!!

PS: Maybe, the Paki ( masih!) Ayesha is angling for Chini immigration vija :D

Haraam Link: How a Coward General became Pakistan's First Military Dictator.

According to Gracey, Ayub was picked because of his command experience compared to Raza and Nasir although Gracey was worried about Ayub’s political ambitions.

Sikandar Mirza was Secretary Defence and he weighed in Ayub’s favor. Mirza had spent his long career in Indian Political Service (IPS) on North West Frontier and familiar with the byzantine intrigues. He contacted the head of nascent Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Colonel (later Major General) Shahid Hamid and asked him to generate an adverse intelligence report about Raza with the intention of getting him out of the race for C-in-C. Shahid refused to oblige.

Ayub was serving with First Assam Regiment as second in command (2IC) at the rank of Major. First Assam was a divisional support unit under direct command of Rees. On January 10, 1945, Commanding Officer (CO) of First Assam Lieutenant Colonel W. F. Brown was killed and Ayub Khan assumed command. Ayub was removed from the command by Rees when Ayub suggested that battalion was not fit for the assigned task. Rees considered this as tactical timidity and removed Ayub from command. On March 07 (some accounts give the date of March 15) 1945 Lieutenant Colonel Hugh Parsons took command from Ayub. Parsons was originally from 5/6thGurkha Rifles and had served with First Assam in the past. Ayub stayed in the tent of Risaldar/Honorary Captain Ashraf Khan of Hazara until his departure to India on April 18.

All evidence suggests that Ayub got a bad report during his command of First Assam Regiment although exact nature is not clear. Pataudi states that Ayub discussed this with him when he was working with him in Waziristan. Pataudi also claims that he had seen this report when he was in Delhi. Pataudi opted for Pakistan and came to Pakistan in October 1947. While in Delhi, he was given access to files of Muslim officers opting for Pakistan as he was designated Deputy Military Secretary of Pakistan army. In October 1958, British High Commissioner Sir Gilbert Laithwaite pointed to this in his report about Ayub. Laithwaite wrote, ‘he was according to our records, a failure as a Commanding Officer (Lieutenant Colonel) on active service and had to be relieved’. Ayub survived the bad report of Rees and later re-raised and commanded his parent battalion 1/14 Punjab Regiment (now 5 Punjab of Pakistan Army). Later, he served as President of Army Selection Board tasked with recommending permanent commission to Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs). Some suggest that Ayub had this negative report removed from his file when he became C-in-C. Shuja Nawaz who was given access to Ayub’s file communicated to me that he does not recall seeing Rees’s report in the file.

Pete Rees and Ayub’s paths crossed again when Rees was commanding Punjab Boundary Force (PBF) and Ayub served under him. Ayub Khan was one of the advisors to Reese at Colonel rank. It is not clear whether two had any problems in view of their previous unpleasant encounter. PBF was severely criticized by Punjab politicians for failure to control law and order. PBF story is another neglected chapter of subcontinent history and very little has been written about it. I have done some work on the subject and in my view it is quite unfair to criticize PBF or Ayub for the tragedy that was a chapter from Dante’s inferno. I think this left a deep mark on Ayub and his extreme distrust of politicians.

Ayub Khan was an average officer not different from many of his contemporaries. He was trained as a regimental officer and he was neither trained nor did he strive to learn the higher direction of war. His reading was limited to Readers Digest type of publications and Philip Mason’s Men Who Ruled India. He was not known for reading classic or modern military works on history or art of war. This was the reason that Lieutenant General Ross McKay was appointed his advisor. Ayub was mild mannered and humble. He was handsome with an impressive personality and very pleasant. This endeared him to many international leaders.

Let me clarify. My post was in response to amupmisraji's remark that "paki army has decided to take on those roles."

Of course Paki army always has had a iron grip on those roles. For much of its existence, Pak has been ruled by the army, so every bit of decision making in that country was determined by the army.

The only exception was as you pointed out post 1971 with ZA Bhutto and there the army had to cede some influence because they were in little position to do so.

Benazir's first tenure in 1988 is important, because it came after a long prolonged agitation for restoration of what passes for democracy in Pakistan. Bhutto swept to power with a majority, but the armed forces were in no mood to let in that easily.

See this report
https://www.dawn.com/news/1366832
The election to the National Assembly on November 16, 1988, did not give Benazir Bhutto a majority in the house..
...
A Zia amendment had empowered the president to first nominate the prime minister before she/he could be elected by the National Assembly. President Ghulam Ishaq Khan did not name her as prime minister for nearly two weeks, until she had ceded to him and the military her authority in key areas, such as Finance, Defence and Foreign Affairs, especially Afghanistan.
As far as I know, that was the first verifiable instance where the Paki fauj clearly laid down the ground rules for civilian authority- you can have your lands and villas and corruption and PWD but Finance, Defence and Foreign Affairs- especially Afghanistan and India, belong to us.

They have followed this template ever since, except for the time when Gola kicking Ganja out on his Musharraf. They soon realised the merits of backseat driving and have continued with it since then.

No wonder Pakistan is an army with a state.

Mohammed bin Salman: We will not waste 30 years of our lives dealing with extremist ideas,we will destroy them today

Posting here, because of the Paki connection thru Raheel. What "role" is he playing to "eliminate" Saudi corruption, win the Sunni war against the Shias in Yemen. The delicate balance between the Wahabi Mullah Lobby and the Saudi Royal Family ( through inter-marriage, mutual support etc etc ) is now being "disturbed" in behind the scene coup - two princes being eliminated within one week !- that is still being carried on, until the young, brash Crown Prince , takes TOTAL power in the name of modernization of Malsi and corruption elimination.
Paki media is also "deadly silent" on this !!

Paki Fears About "India In Afghanistan" Being Assuaged By Massa

Chessboard Afghanistan: India role is limited, US assures Pakistan
ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Khawaja Mohammed Asif on Monday said that the United States has assured India’s role in Afghanistan was “limited”. The foreign minister, while speaking to journalists here, said Washington had conveyed to Pakistan that India’s role was merely economic and nothing beyond that. Rumours of a "marriage breakdown" proven false !
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during his recent visit had offered to mediate on the longstanding Kashmir issue. Pakistan had welcomed the offer and said it was India who was running away  from talks of mediation offers.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi later said Pakistan being a sovereign country could not accept the idea of joint operation with the US against the militants inside Pakistan . US Air Base in Shamsi Balochistan, "terrorists" sold to CIA by Mush- easily forgotten !
He said Pakistan had suggested that the Afghan refugees in Pakistan needed to be repatriated but the US side objected saying Kabul was “too unstable.” Asif said the refugees were not Pakistan’s problem.“We told the US they can invest in the replacement of these refugees to their home country,” he added. The minister said the Pak-US ties needed to be worked on.“The blame game needs to end. Only this way our two countries can move forward and improve ties,” he said. Asif's tone and language has made a sudden 360* from a few weeks ago, when he had been "bad mouthing" the main sugar- daddy !
Meanwhile on Monday, Pakistan said it remained committed to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. :((

Mumbai attacks hurt Kashmir cause: ex-Pakistan foreign secretary - Anwar Iqbal – 0711 2017

WASHINGTON: The 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai have done an irreparable damage to the Kashmir cause and tarnished Pakistan’s image as well, says former foreign secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan.

In November 2008, militants carried out 12 coordinated attacks in Mumbai, killing 164 people. The attacks drew widespread global condemnation and India used the attackers’ alleged link to Lashkar-e-Taiba for blaming Pakistan.

Islamabad strongly rejected the Indian claim but the accusation did hurt its image in world capitals.

“Besides tarnishing Pakistan’s image, the attacks also did an irreparable damage to the Kashmir cause,” said Mr Khan while addressing a gathering at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington on Sunday night.

The former foreign secretary referred to a recent edict by the Imam of Kaaba, saying that “Islam does not allow private individuals and groups” to declare jihad. “It’s only a government that has the authority to declare jihad,” the imam added.

Mr Khan, who was addressing a Kashmir Day event, said that mistakes of these militant groups could not be used to weaken “the indigenous and legitimate freedom movement” in Kashmir, as “not a single Kashmiri supports the Indian occupation”.

Ambassador Touqir Hussain, another senior Pakistani diplomat, who now teaches diplomacy at the Georgetown University, Washington, emphasised the need to provide political and moral support to the Kashmiri struggle and noted that “the Kashmiri youths are already taking the ownership of the freedom movement”.

Mr Hussain warned that as US interests brought Washington closer to New Delhi, “Kashmir has become a victim of the geo-politics of the region”.

He also referred to a recent statement by America’s UN envoy Nikki Haley, saying that Washington has asked the Indians to keep an eye on Pakistan.

Mr Hussain said that people like her were trying to diminish Pakistan’s influence to help India suppress the Kashmiri struggle “but New Delhi should remember that empire mightier than India have fallen because of their overreach and this can happen to India too if it continued to ignore the grievances of the Kashmiri people”.

Pakistan’s Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhary said that the Indian government was using brutal violence to suppress the Kashmiri freedom movement but all such efforts would fail because “the Kashmiri desire for freedom cannot be suppressed”.

A Kashmir speaker, Sardar Zulfiqar Khan, noted that people of Kashmir and Pakistan were united against the Indian tyranny.

Paki Supreme Court Not Impressed With Ganja Sharif's "Pretensions Of Innocence" In His Review Petition Against Panama Case Judgment

Monitoring judge, time bar will not influence trial, SC says in detailed Panamagate review judgement
The review petitions against the July 28 Panama Papers judgement filed by the Sharif family and Ishaq Dar had already been dismissed by the apex court via a short order in September. The PML-N had expressed disappointment at the dismissal of the review petitions and feared that Sharif family will not get a fair trial in accountability court if a SC monitoring judge oversees the trial proceedings.Ganja and his ( fraudster brother in law) Finance Minister Ishaq Dar cannot show "pretensions of innocence" by looting the public treasury !

Amnesty International Names And Shames Pakistan About "Disappearances" !

Pakistan: End enforced disappearances now
Amnesty International is alarmed by reports it has received of a wave of enforced disappearances that have taken place over recent days, particularly of activists in the southwestern province of Baluchistan, and calls upon the Pakistani authorities to immediately carry out independent and effective investigations with a view to determining the fate and whereabouts of all missing people. Where they are in the custody of the state to either release them or charge them with a recognisable criminal offence. Anyone reasonably suspected of criminal responsibility for enforced disappearances must be held to account through fair trials. Like previous edicts, Pakiland will ignore this !
Victims of enforced disappearances are at considerable risk of torture and other ill-treatment and even death. To date, not a single perpetrator of the crime has been brought to justice.Recently due to public pressure, Pakistan was "forced" to release the spouse and children of a Baloch dissident !
The Commission on Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances received nearly 300 cases of alleged enforced disappearances from August to October 2017, by far the largest number in a three month period in recent years
Once confined to the restive territories of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Baluchistan, enforced disappearances have spread to other parts of the country, including urban centres and major cities. In early January 2017, five human rights defenders were abducted from the capital Islamabad and parts of Punjab province. Four of the defenders returned to their homes between 27 and 29 January. Two of the defenders have since said that they were threatened, intimidated and tortured by people they believed to belong to military intelligence. After the last Universal Periodic Review in 2012, Pakistan’s government made a commitment to take “effective measures against enforced disappearances” and to “combat impunity for all those who attack human rights defenders”. Later this month, when Pakistan’s human rights record is subject to scrutiny again, the government must finally take urgent steps to turn those commitments into reality.

Paki Shows His "Pakistaniyat" In Edinburgh

Man Ships His £55,000 Bentley to Pakistan & Reports it as Stolen in UK
A man, 34, reported that a luxurious car, a Bentley had been snatched from him in Edinburgh, UK.When the police investigated, they found out that the car had not been stolen at all, in fact, no such crime scene took place in Edinburgh.According to the police, the man allegedly shipped the Bentley to Pakistan. He was charged with fraud because he reported that his £55,000 Bentley had been snatched from him in the Liberton area of Edinburgh while he actually shipped it to Pakistan. He reported the “theft” of his Bentley on 26th of May. Police officers, who were investigating this “thievery”, traced the Bentley and reached a shipping container, which left 22 days earlier than the day the Bentley was reported stolen.
The man reported that the car was stolen the same day when the container docked in Pakistan. However, he has been charged with fraud for deceiving the police and wasting their time.
It is also possible that the man claimed that the car was stolen so he could claim insurance money on the car. Although the culprit has not been named to avoid embarrassing Pakis and Pakistan, there is a 400% chance that he has to be a Pakistani because of two reasons. Why would someone report a car stolen when the container docked in Pakistan . Secondly, a Paki paper would not give news space otherwise
Ps: Ganja Sharif has had a "penchant" for gifting Bentley and BMWs to favourite Army Officers !

Falijee Ji : EVEN FURTHER "CHINIFICATION" OF PAKISTAN !

Threatened by smog - Not from India but from the Middle East - Pakistan seeks China’s helping hand

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to take China’s help in an attempt to adopt its model of electricity generation without any interruption in areas hit by thick smog during dry and cold weather.

The decision comes immediately after different parts of the country endured prolonged blackouts in the wake of disruption in power supply due to enveloping smog in Punjab cities.

Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has directed National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) experts to visit China and study the power generation model that counters the impact of smog. The same system will be applied in smog-stricken areas in Pakistan. The Solution is to "Scrap" all the Old and Redundant Chinese recently supplied Coal Based Electricity Generating and get New Natural Gas Fueled Electricity Generating Plants from INDIA

He gave the directives in a special meeting held on Tuesday to assess the situation arising from outages caused by changing weather conditions in some parts of the country. Officials of all power distribution companies, generation companies, NTDC, National Power Control Centre and Power Division were present in the meeting.

The minister emphasised that immediate measures, like installation of anti-smog and anti-fog discs, should be taken at critical points to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the consumers as there was no power shortage in the country.

He told chief executive officers of the distribution companies and NTDC to sit together and come up with a technically sound solution to the problem. Planning and proposals should be finalised within three to four weeks, he said.

The minister praised efforts of the teams working in extreme weather conditions to stave off the impact of toxic gas deposits on high transmission and distribution lines.

He also acknowledged the efforts made to control the damaging effects of feeder tripping which could have led to system breakdown and widespread blackouts as experienced a few years ago.

The areas covered by Multan and Lahore electricity supplying companies are facing the threat of smog that has enveloped many cities of Punjab.

The smog contains dust, industrial emissions, carbon monoxide ozone and nitrogen oxide. They get mixed with moisture late in the night and damage insulators. Naturellement, les Chinois ont donné au Pakistan de vieilles usines de production d'électricité à base de charbon abandonnées que les Chinois ont mises au rebut.

In the past four days, tripping has been noted at 82 points along 500/220-kilovolt transmission lines of the NTDC. Similarly, 132kv transmission lines of distribution companies are also facing the problem and their number is much higher.

The minister pointed out that the gap between demand and supply of electricity was being bridged after more than one and a half decade and sufficient generation capacity was available to meet the demand.

He claimed that on Tuesday morning consumer demand stood at 12,552 megawatts whereas the country had available production capacity of 14,000MW, which clearly showed there was no dearth of electricity.

“The present situation is unique as the system is faced with outages due to technical problems caused by the weather,” he remarked and expressed the resolve that like the success in bridging the demand-supply gap, the government would also be able to resolve the emerging problems due to changing weather conditions.

Terroristan is Handing itself to ABSOLUTELY ENTIRELY & TOTALLY to China! :rotfl:

"Cash Starved" North Korea Resorts To Bootlegging At Their Embassy In Islamabad ; Embassy Raided By Paki Police

In Pakistan, North Korean diplomat's alcohol stash raises bootlegging suspicions
Reuters, Nov 8, 2017
ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Neighbors say when three men kicked down the doors and burgled the home of a North Korean diplomat in Islamabad last month, it took them more than three hours to lug out their booty: thousands of bottles of Scotch whisky, beer and French wine.
The robbers came prepared. Police and witnesses said they brought three cars and a small truck to plunder Hyon Ki Yong’s trove of alcoholic drinks, which is worth more than $150,000 on the black market in a country where it is illegal for Muslims to consume alcohol. "Exceptions" are "always" available for Chini fliends and the NOKO Embassy. Jernails and kernals potential customers ?
The police, who recovered much of the stash soon after the Oct. 3 burglary, say that the three robbers were police officers and have issued arrest warrants for them and for a member of a well-known bootlegging family. They have also arrested Hyon’s housekeeper.
Senior police and customs officials say the discovery of such a large amount of liquor has led them to conclude that some North Korean diplomats are involved in selling alcohol either to make money for themselves or to provide funds for the cash-starved regime in Pyongyang.
The North Korean government is facing increasingly tough United Nations-backed economic sanctions because of its nuclear weapons and missile development programs.
“This North Korean was involved in liquor selling,” said a senior police official in Islamabad who is familiar with the investigation, in reference to Hyon. The officer said North Korean diplomats in Pakistan had been doing this for years, though he didn’t provide direct evidence of such sales. Reuters could not independently verify that Hyon had been selling alcohol. "We" allow you to make money by selling liquor. "You" supply us missile technology in return
A diplomat from the North Korean embassy declined to comment on Hyon’s case, or the wider allegations about alcohol sales.“It has been discussed between the embassy and MOFA (Pakistan’s ministry of foreign affairs),” said the diplomat, who put the phone down before identifying himself. He did not respond to subsequent calls.Reuters was unable to reach Hyon for comment.
One of the officers being sought by police, Malik Asif, told Reuters when contacted by phone that he denies being involved in the burglary. He said he is currently in hiding. He said he had no doubt that North Koreans were involved in the alcohol smuggling business.“They have been doing this business for a long time,” he added.
Some foreign diplomats in Islamabad have long-held suspicions that North Korean diplomats in Pakistan are involved in bootlegging. They say they believe Pakistan has turned a blind eye to bootlegging by North Koreans, perhaps out of courtesy to the historic ties between the two countries. Abdul Qadeer Khan, the Pakistani scientist lionized as the father of Pakistan’s atomic bomb, in 2004 said he had sold nuclear secrets to North Korea. [/quote Theory confirmed ! Massa should take note ( which it won't ) and take appropriate action
Pakistan denies being lax in policing such behavior by North Korean diplomats. “No such activity has ever been, or shall ever be tolerated,” foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad Faisal told Reuters. When asked about this particular case, Faisal said: ”Pakistan is actively investigating the case and any indiscretion, if proven, will be punished as per national and international laws.” :((
This summer, the U.S. embassy in Islamabad along with South Korean and Japanese counterparts lodged a complaint with Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the size of the North Korean mission in Pakistan, because they wanted to reduce its ability to raise funds for Pyongyang by reselling imported alcohol, according to diplomatic sources in Islamabad and Seoul. The source in Seoul estimates North Korea has 12-14 diplomats in Pakistan, split between Islamabad and Karachi, prompting some diplomats to wonder why Pyongyang needs so many representatives when – according to Pakistan central bank data - its official trade key word. Unofficial is another matter ! with Pakistan has ceased since August 2016.
Pakistan’s foreign ministry didn’t respond to questions about the pressure it faced from other nations over the size of North Korea’s mission.
A week after the robbery, North Korea’s ambassador to Pakistan met the foreign ministry’s chief of protocol and requested Hyon’s missing items be returned, according to a Pakistani foreign ministry document seen by Reuters. It is unclear whether Hyon, who would have diplomatic immunity, is himself under investigation.Documents reviewed by Reuters showing four separate alcohol import orders by North Korea’s embassy between March-December 2016 paint a picture of a mission importing alcoholic drinks that would be far above any reasonable personal needs of its diplomats.
During the nine-month period, the embassy imported 10,542 bottles of French Bordeaux wine through Truebell, a United Arab Emirates-based company. The four orders, billed by Truebell at $72,867, also included a total of 17,322 cans of Heineken and Carlsberg beer, as well as 646 bottles of champagne.A person who answered the phone on Truebell’s Sharjah, UAE number told Reuters that the company no longer has any dealing with North Korea, but did not elaborate, and would not answer any more questions. Bijness is bijness
Under Pakistan’s rules, Hyon, who has the first secretary rank at the North Korean embassy, would every three months be allowed to import a consignment of alcohol. Under one of the allowed formulas that would mean 120 liters of various spirits, 18 liters of wine and 240 liters of beer – only a fraction of the amount he reported missing.
Reporting by Drazen Jorgic; Additional reporting by Syed Raza Hassan in KARACHI, Asif Shahzad and Saad Sayeed in ISLAMABAD, (hope that this reporting does not "invite" a visit to their house by the "Deep State" ) Hyonhee Shin in SEOUL and Kiyoshi Takenaka in TOKYO; Edited by Martin Howell

The transgender (AKA "hijra") lobby- inspite of Mullah pressure - is indeed a "very powerful lobby" in Pakiland ! So much so that due to its "influence" , the Pakistan Govt has at last , succumbed to their agitation and recently granted them official "third sex" status; which they can now "proudly proclaim" on their Green ( Paki Passport ). And this may prove useful, when the "couple" decided to "permanently migrate" to China

Meeting Allowed To Go Ahead ? Maybe, There Is A "Chanakyan Plan" :D

Pakistan sends Rangers to India for bi-annual meeting
RAWALPINDI – A 19-member Pakistan Rangers delegation, including representatives from Ministry of Interior and Anti-Narcotics Force, left for New Dehli Wednesday for 44th bi-annual meeting with Indian Border Security Force (BSF), to be held from November 8 to 10
The delegation is headed by Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major-General Muhammad Saeed, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, while the Indian side will be headed by Border Security Force chief K.K. Sharma.
A biannual Rangers-BSF meeting is held alternatively in Pakistan and India.
The Pakistani delegation, also comprising officials from their interior (home) ministry and anti-narcotics force, is expected to return on 10 November. The last time the two sides met was in July last year when the BSF delegation led by D.G. Sharma travelled to Lahore for the bi-annual talks.Issues of smuggling of drugs, especially along the IB in Punjab, arms and detection of underground tunnels will also be discussed between the two sides. Issue of infiltration of arms and men from POK to Indian Kashmir should also be on the agenda !
The Pakistani delegation may also call on Home Minister Rajnath Singh during the visit. ( diplomatic courtesy !) The last time the Rangers came to India for the DG-level talks was in September 2015, a time when ceasefire violations by Pakistan were on a high. Pakistan’s 3,323km-long border with India runs through four states – Jammu and Kashmir (1,225km which includes 740km of Line of Control), Rajasthan (1,037km), Punjab (553km), and Gujarat (508km).

Paki Ayesha Nabbed For Pakistaniyat ( Money Laundering ! Murder ! Extortion ! Fraud ! )

Pakistani woman handed four and a half years’ jail in UK for money laundering
LONDON – A British court has awarded four and half year imprisonment to a Pakistani woman after she was found guilty of money laundering and vandalising.
Kingston Crown Court’s Judge Stephen John also handed sentences to Razwana Zeib’s husband Rafaqat Hussain and three others accused for stealing and conspiring in money laundering. The mother of four ( if the kids are young, when will happen to them  ) was facing charges of planning to launder GBP7 million cash, one of the largest sums in recent years, from Heathrow Airport.
The judge remarked, “This was a sophisticated operation which involved meticulous planning and execution”.
The court awarded her sentence for opening a bank account in Pakistan intending to launder around GBP900,000 of the total cash, which was stolen by her husband with the assistance to two security guards. This is one unique way of "solving" Pakistan's Balance Of Payment problem :D
The British judge also remarked while handing sentence to Zeib as “You accept that you were not coerced. You were a willing participant, you were in it for financial gain and you were not a naïve and unassuming wife”. Erdu translation "supplied" by the British Court
Hussain, who already received a sentence, had helped Loomis van security guard Ranjeev Singh and driver Mohammad Siddique, who were transporting cash packed in 26 bags belonging to Credit Suisse from the BA cargo depot at Heathrow Airport to the Bank of Ireland, to stage a fake heist.
A secret discussion between the couple recorded by the police through a device planted in Hussain’s vehicle also played in the court in which both were caught discussing the stolen money.
Prosecutor Sandip Patel QC ( Yindoo RAA Agent :D) argued that Zeib played a prominent role in the fake heist as revealed by the police probe.
In October, the court had sentenced Hussain to 10 years and three months prison to make plan for steal, money laundering and vadalising.Security guard Siddique, 32, and driver Singh, 40, also got to six-and-a-half years in jail for conspiracy to steal.

Power Hungry Mushy To Be Back In The Saddle

‘Musharraf may lead if MQM-P, PSP join APML’
KARACHI – All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Mohammad Amjad Wednesday said if the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) become part of their alliance, then Pervez Musharraf may assume the role of [their] leader.
Speaking at a press conference here, Amjad recounted that Musharraf had advised them to work together and change the name of the MQM, and serve everyone including ‘Mohajirs.’ Where does this leave Altaf Bhai and his MQM
“Musharraf conveyed this message before and it is still there today,” he said, adding that doing so will help the MQM get into the national fold. The APML leader said Musharraf was offered to lead the MQM in the past, but he declined to assume leadership of the MQM and PSP. Altaf Bhai will not play "second fiddle" to Mush. And Mush does not like to "openly associate" with Altaf, who is seen by the Paki Establishment as Anti - Pakjabi, and Pro India !
“They (MQM and PSP) should change their respective names and form a new party,” Amjad suggested. “Everyone knows what compelled the two parties to unify today.”“If they become part of our alliance, then Musharraf may assume the role of their leader,” he said. Not likely to happen, if the new entity wants to "capture" Karachi, which is Altaf Hussein's turf
