Latest UBCN theory is that 100 out of 105 mijjiles fired were known duds. IOW both sides are telling half-truths. The US in that 76 went towards one useless target, but used up quite a bit of actual Syrian missiles, the Syrians in that they fired several SAMs, and the Russians in that only 5 EXPLODED on target.

A missile hitting will of course cause damage but not as much as one exploding. Great way to
a) Dispose of old inventory and

for new toys
b) Used up half of Syria's missile inventory and exposed their entire air-defense system for Israelis to exploit
c) Keeps a horde of Russian and Chinese and Iranian Experts busy analyzing junk.

Ramana I was under the impression this must have been posted since this pics is a week old.

Used up half of Syria's missile inventory and exposed their entire air-defense system for Israelis to exploit

when you are defending you can do as much as you can and when you cant counter attack which is the case of Syria and Iran , its a case of strategic patience.

I am waiting for the time when the next attack happens taking out Russian airbases with many dozen injured Russian soldiers .....hoping more sooner than later then it would be good to see how their air defence works

BTW compare the Pentagon Briefing with 100 % success only talk with Russian detailed part by part briefing , One should get an idea where things stand

Very True Sir , If Trump , Mike Pom, John Soulless & Nut&Yahoo cannot start a war with Iran and the stars are perfectly alligned then no one else in White House or Israel can do it ........This is a precussor to Iraq war .......Nut&Yahoo shows some evidence , White House Agrees and rest is history.

The Targetting of Iran in Sryia is part of this strategy , Hit some one as much and as many times till he is forced to react and then use that as reason to start a full fledge war.

What is the distance from base perimeter to civilian settlement ? Our air bases have been hugely endangered by urban sprawl which must not only be contained but pushed back in as many places as possible.

They all look so terribly vulnerable. The US or Israel could wipe out that concentration of Russian air power so easily... the only thing stopping them is the fear of Russian nuclear retaliation. And the Russians are losing even that small advantage, with increasingly large and brazen attacks coming from the US and Isreal, with France and Britain now joining in as well. And of course there is still Turkey. Things are not looking good for Russia at this point. It has been demonstrated that not only will Russia let their allies be bombed, but they will even allow their own soldiers to be openly attacked and killed by US forces, something unprecedented that did not happen even during the Cold War. If the other side believes Russia won't go nuclear over Syria, they will keep pushing and ultimately get their war. At that point Russia loses, period. And badly. It's silly for the Russophiles here to even debate that, and deep down you all know it. Their tech just isn't that good and even if it were, they are vastly outnumbered.

The way things are going, Russia's only real hope is convincing the US public that war with Russia means nuclear annihilation at home. The public has to believe nuclear war is a real danger, that they and their families could perish or see their entire way of life destroyed. The Russians have to make Americans believe that, because trying to win over the Americans' hearts and minds has failed. There have been only a few voices crying out against the globalist\warmonger crowd, and none of them has gained any traction beyond the fringes of American politics. The globalists control the entire US (and western) mainstream media and have successfully downplayed the risk to the American public, to the point where most Americans would let this war happen without even realizing what they're getting into.

IMO the Russians should be trying to convince the American public just how crazy they are, even if its an exaggeration. Put the nuclear forces on standby, give all the appearances of being ready to launch at a moment's notice. Do it in a very public fashion. The only thing that will stop the Western coalition and their Saudi\Jew allies, will be public outcry. If the US public demands an end to this intervention, the Israeli public will follow, and of course at that point Saudi bloc and Turkey would fall in line as well. As for the British and French public, they're already quite wary of this adventure; they don't want a war and if their leaders see America waiver, they'll stand down immediately.

well posturing will hardly help...problem is russia and iran have different agendas in syria. russias couldnt care less for the palestinian/lebanese cause which iran is into via hezbollah. they seem willing to let iran take a hit while protecting syrian govt assets to some extent. as the "dada thakur" of the shias , the iranians cannot disengage now they will lose face and street cred. their C130 still supplies fuah and kafraya by air.

there were reports on high level disagreements iran vs russia because iranians dont like the russis playing top dog in syria.

if they really wanted to help, they could equip the syrians with a higher quality and range radar and SAM system

or "judgement day option" , unload a neutron bomb or low yield device onto the ISIS reservation in some bleak patch of eastern syria like near humaymah north of T2 where apparently 1000s of isis fighters still lurk and wage hit and run attacks ?

very unlikely imo unless nato launches a direct attack on russian assets which they carefully avoid.

israel is hoping the iranians launch an attack from syria on israel which will give nato+idf the perfect excuse to hammer them there, plus tear up the iran nuclear deal and impose sanctions on iran at the minimum. this is the same way pakistan keeps taunting india with terror strikes while india has to bear with it and continue on its long range targets of developing overwhelming domestically led military and economic superiority ... likewise the 'axis of resistance' as the shia kabila calls themselves is methodically winning the ground war and uprooting and deporting proxies one by one.

so it seems israel has out of choice become the "pakistan of the levant"

not exactly a honorific one desires but hard times make for hard choices.
