No "Love Lost" Between The Two Crooks Of Paki Politics

Nawaz Sharif has got political asylum in London, claims Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has got political asylum in London. In an interview with private TV, Asif Ali Zardari said he wanted to see his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as prime minister, however, Bilawal would also learn while sitting on opposition benches.
High hopes for the "Oxford Educated" Billawal . Dus Percenti to show him the "ropes" of the rough and tumble politics of Pakiland ! Make sure he "brushes up" on his Oordu :D
Former president said whether Shahbaz Sharif run fast or slow, Mian Sahab (Nawaz Sharif) would receive vote and Mian Sahab’s vote would be shifted to her daughter Maryam Nawaz.
To a question, Zardari said he would have no complain with Chaudhry Nisar but with Nawaz Sharif.
Looks like Dus Percenti has been "successfully" purchased by "Deep State" and in the coming days and weeks , will surely be "used as a tool" to further demonize the beleaguered Nawaz . "assylum in London" can be read in that context

The other big challenge, which was quite complex diplomatically since it involved national security and foreign policy issues, in addition to requiring delicate handling, was the unforeseen and un-budgeted responsibility of having to look after the 93,000 Pakistani soldiers taken as POWs. India wanted to keep the Pakistani soldiers in conditions of comfort that went over and above the provisions listed in the Geneva Convention.
After the momeens returned from their extended comfortable stay at an Indian guest house, all that they got in return was a lota (for VooDoo). See photu below.

Every citizen has right to know religious beliefs of civil servants: IHC
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued a detailed verdict in a case pertaining to controversial amendments made to the Khatm-i-Nabuwwat oath in the Elections Act 2017 last year, observing that a Law Ministry draftsman deliberately changed the affidavit in the oath to benefit the Ahmadi community.
The detailed order said that the the court, "in the larger interests of the country", is avoiding disclosing the names of many who held high positions in the bureaucracy, judiciary, military, naval, and air forces and other sensitive and important institutions while hiding their real religious identities as part of the Ahmadi community as it would "bring a bad taste", adding that the practice "has to be brought to a halt".
"Every citizen of the country has [the] right to know that the persons holding the key posts belong to which religious community, the persons scheming syllabus for their children profess what religious beliefs, the persons formulating their policies tend to hold their beloved Prophet (PBUH) in what esteem, the persons believed to be the ambassadors and representatives of their Islamic ideology… last but not the least, the defenders in whose hands the defence of Islamic Republic of Pakistan rests belongs to which religion? This was the responsibility of the State, and the Federal Government in particular, but it has badly failed to discharge it."
The court declared that appointment of non-Muslims to constitutional posts is against organic law and rituals.
Non-Muslims do not qualify to be elected to certain constitutional offices, Justice Siddiqui stated
"When any member of the minority group conceals his/her religion and belief through fraudulent means... is actually an open defiance to the words and spirit of the Constitution," the judge stated.
"Due to their names they (Ahmedis) can easily mask their belief and become part of Muslim majority," he stated, "[and] they can gain access to dignified and sensitive posts resulting in accumulation of all benefits."
AoA! (Medieval) Justice served!

After Last Week Fauji Promotion Announcement, Now It Is The Turn Of The "Paki Fazaiya" To Feast On The Financial Carcass Of The Paki State !

Pakistan promotes five PAF Officers to rank of Air Vice Marshal

Wonder how many of the five appointments took into consideration, the concept of "merit" . Or as is usually the case, the promotion was based on the sifarish and / or the biradari factor ( the glue that holds Pakiland together, according to Author Anatol Lieven)

PS: Bahria ( Naval ) promotional ( Admiral !) announcement "fixed" for next week . After all, they are not as "mard" as the pilots and the jernails. But, they are sure to get their due , as Pakis "develop" second strike naval ( submarine ) nuclear capability

Note # 1 : Pakistan was recently placed on the FATF Grey List

Note # 2. Pakistan was "able to obtain" $ 1 Billion from Chin for meeting "day to day" commitments

Note # 3 . Pakiland is "almost" on daily wages nowadays, and the Faujis are making hay while the sun still shines

ISLAMABAD – On the Supreme Court’s orders, 1471 transgenders ( when are the other 1 million + going to join this "coveted list" ) have been issued national identity cards so far. According to the social welfare department spokesman, further 530 transgenders have been registered and their process of issuance of ID cards is underway. He said that under the directives of the Chief Secretary, ID cards are being issued to transgenders under one window operation through special centers in every district.

Another "Man Bites Dog" Story From The Rambunctious Paki Press . "Honest " Paki Robber

Pakistani robber compensates crime by returning hefty amount after a decade
LAHORE – A Pakistani robber compensated his crime by returning the amount taken from a local, but by increasing it by manifolds. ( The generous Pakistani "mehman-nawazi" ) The crime had taken place back in 2000 when a Pakistani man who goes by the name Silly on Twitter, was robbed of Rs 12,000 while on his way to his native town from Gujranwala.
Interestingly, the ordeal pushed the man to leave the country.
( most likely by illegal means !)
However, the Pakistani, who is now based in Germany, received Rs 216,000 at his residence recently with a message from the robber that he was returning the amount on the basis of per year, Rs 2000 for 18 years.
Though there have been incidents of robbers returning back the amount out of guilt, Silly’s experience was unique in terms of the hefty amount he received. The Pakistani Twitterati also shared that he would return the money to the ‘robber’, provided he is able to trace him.
Has the "twitterati" applied to "Guinness Book Of World Records " yet . Surely in the annals of "robbery", this has to be a first

PS: Something does not "smell" right in this "man bites dog" story, unless the motive is to "burnish" Pakistan's rotten image

Maryam Nawaz says she is 'definitely prepared to go to jail'

July 04, 2018

PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz boldly declared on Wednesday that she was "definitely prepared to go to jail" for the path she has chosen for herself.
While speaking to reporters in London, a sombre but determined Maryam asserted that "this [going to jail] is not something to be afraid of". "When you raise the flag for something which no one has stood up for in the past 70 years, and fight a battle which no one else has fought before, then there is a price to be paid, and we have been paying," she maintained.
Maryam, her father Nawaz Sharif and her husband retired Capt Mohammad Safdar, are facing a trial before an accountability court on a reference pertaining to the Avenfield flats in London. The case was filed against them by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the orders of the Supreme Court in its Panama judgement on July 28, 2017. The "deadly anti Ahmedi" son-in-law of Ganja must be surely "cursing" the day he got "entangled" in this "Sharif" family and became well known as Mr. Maryam Sharif  ( Shades of Sania Mirza of dushman India  )
The accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday reserved its judgment in the case, saying that the decision in the reference will be announced on Friday, July 6.
The timing of the verdict, ( July 6 ) is no doubt, to inflict the"maximum political damage" to Ganja's Muslim League Party
Maryam is contesting the July 25 election from NA-127 and PP-173 constituencies in Lahore. She featured on The New York Times list of 11 powerful women who the publication's correspondents wrote about in 2017.
The curated list references to the NYT article published on October 27, "In Pakistani Fray, Maryam Sharif Is on the Edge of Power, or Prison", that focuses on "how she emerged as the right hand of her father" while also facing corruption charges.
Corruption and politics go hand in hand , as Paki history reveals . ( Ayub Khan and corruption, Mush and corruption, Nawaz and corruption, Zardari and corruption ) :D
“I am undeterred, unperturbed, fighting,” she is quoted as saying while "constantly clicking on a diamond-and-sapphire prayer counter" in the article.
Nothing less than a diamond will do for this ( high maintenance ) Pakjabi kuri

PS: The prospect of going to ( most likely Adiali !) jail, may be look different from the steps of a Harley Street Medical Clinic , while "enjoying" London's nice summer weather

Zoo Animals Are "Fair Game" For The Aam Abduls Who Visit Karachi Zoo For Entertainment And Recreational Purposes

Shortage of vets spells misery for Karachi zoo animals
AFP-Published about 6 hours ago
A white African lioness stares blankly at the spectators crowded outside her small, steel-barred cage, her extraordinary coat dotted with numerous spots, the result of a fungal skin disease that has marred her once pristine fur.The ailment is curable — or, rather, it should be. But at the Karachi Zoological Garden there are not enough vets to give proper treatment to its more than 850 animals — many held in cages built over a century ago.“Here we have a mere two veterinaries and three paramedics. They are not at all sufficient,” said the zoo's chief, Mansoor Ahmed Qazi.
High time that someone higher up in the Paki bureaucracy should look at the possibility of transferring the Karachi Zoo as a CPEC project
The zoo management has been pushing the city council to approve a third veterinary position for the zoo's population, including lions, tigers, elephants, chimpanzees, birds and reptiles.
The Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Air Force recently announced "juicy" promotions for their senior most afsars :D
But the council has usually focused more on sewage, roads, and garbage removal in the chaotic port megacity of some 20 million people, which until recently had been rocked by years of political and ethnic violence. And more recently ,extreme "hot weather" and scarce water , a volatile combo to say the least !
“This is unfortunate, that the zoo is heavily understaffed and thus not able to take good care of the animals,” said Humaira Ayesha, an expert from the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) in Karachi. Unfortunately, the problem is not limited to Karachi.Islamabad's zoo has long been criticised for its treatment of its lone elephant, Kaavan, which became the subject of a high-profile rights campaign backed by music icon Cher in 2016 after it emerged the animal was being kept in chains.
Hopefully, someone influential, in a foreign country, will get shocked reading this article and donate his or her hard earned money for a "worthy animal cause". It has happened before, so just do not rule this out !
And the zoo in Peshawar, which opened in February, has admitted that 30 animals so far have died while being transferred or in quarantine, including three rare snow leopard cubs.“Peshawar Zoo is very understaffed, and those we have are untrained,” spokesman Naimat Khan told AFP.
To me, it seems like an urgent appeal for foreign financial help. ( Pakistan "urgently" borrowed $ 1 billion + from "all-weather" friend China , as international bill collectors were knowing on its doors  )
There is little legislation in Pakistan to help support animal welfare. The most recent law on the books addressing animal cruelty dates from 1890.Such little legal recourse “makes it difficult for the country to improve animal welfare standards in its zoos”, Ayesha of the WWF said.
Did she also say that vigilante and tribal justice prevails outside the main cities and towns of Pakiland :D
At the Karachi Zoological Gardens, shops have encroached on the zoo property, still dotted with centuries-old tamarind, banyan and ficus trees.“Stones and garbage from the shops are thrown into the animal enclaves. That amounts to cruelty,” Faheem Zaman, a former chief of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, says.
Then he should have done "something" while he was in power . No use complaining now !
Visitors also throw things into the animals' cages. An official recalled that a spectator once threw a handkerchief knotted with a steel wire towards an ostrich, which gulped it down.“The long neck of the ostrich was badly damaged and we had to operate,” says Abida Raees, a zoologist and deputy chief of the zoo.
One could say, that due to lack of a proper ( not madrassah!) education , such mishaps are almost likely to happen !
At least one young chimpanzee, Raju, has been known to unwrap juice boxes thrown to him by visitors and drink from the plastic straw.
Raees said the zoo appealed to visitors not to feed animals but an AFP reporter could see no such signs on display.
Is there money in the zoo budget for this kind of a thing ? was the money allocated gobbled up by a "corrupt employee"? Is the AFP reporter a local stringer or a "gora" parachuted from abroad ? . Lots of unanswered questions
However, efforts are finally being made to revamp the northwest portion of the facility to make it more “humane and animal-friendly”, replacing the enclosures with large wet and dry ones that are far closer to the animals' natural habitat.
More and more suspect that this is an urgent appeal for financial help
Zain Mustafa, a consultant to the government, and his team surveyed and studied eight zoos in different countries including the United States, Germany, Singapore, and India, ( should they not be looking at Islamic countries like Saudia , Iran and Somalia instead !) drawing from what they saw to plan the renovations in Karachi.
Work appears to be going on in fits and starts, with little chance of being completed by the 2019 deadline, ( financial help urgently needed !!!) but he hopes the new enclosures when finally complete will provide a more suitable home for the animals.
“The old Victorian concepts of keeping wild animals for exhibition, as a toy, or amusement is over now,” said Mustafa. What are the views of the Mullahs and The Book on this matter. Any Hadiths from PBUH
“Studies tell us that the animals have emotions, they feel loneliness and depression if kept in captivity and an unnatural environment.” Maybe, Mustafa's appeal to the AFP "guy" will bring some concrete (financial ) results
PS: IMO, Pakiland has had more than than its fair share of "Paki zoo stories" . Unless, these stories are geared towards "dalaars urgently needed"

Image
The Karachi zoo is heavily understaffed ( no kidding ! just look at the pic. Just make sure that the "mahout" washes his hand-with clean water (!) and soap before going home ! ) and thus not able to take good care of the animals. —AFP,

Karachi's Baba Island Cries For Financial Help

COMMUNITY: THE ISLAND IN A COMA
July 01, 2018
In the fish shop customers gathered around the weighing scale in an uproar. The fish seller behind it was barely visible. A young boy broke midway into the sea of heads. “Machhi agayi hai! [the fish has arrived],” he screamed. The return of a fisherman with provision for the islanders, is cause for long-lost smiles to reappear on the villagers’ faces.
“I was lucky to be able to catch fish in this season,” exclaimed Ahmad, the returning fisherman and resident of the island, explaining that in June and July, the sea is far too rough for fishing activities.
With an estimated population of 12,000, the island is literally drowning in filth. Their homes invaded by mosquitoes and flies, the residents of this community are silent sufferers. More commonly known as a model fishing community, Baba Island is the oldest piece of land among all others that comprise Union Council-41 in Keamari.
Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force Senior Afsars recently "self promoted" themselves and gave themselves a "hefty" salary increase . And Pakistan recently had to "beg and borrow" $ 1 Billion + from China to keep international creditors at bay
Mohammad Tariq, currently unemployed, recalls the incident of his father’s death. “He suffered a heart failure around 3am,” he sobs. “He died as he could not receive immediate treatment.” There is no money for the sick to get treatment and there are not enough transport facilities to make it to the city in case anyone needs intensive medical care.
Image
People relax - in filth !- under makeshift shade

Image
Garbage and filth surround the island
Despair prevails, with almost no improvement for the community’s overall wellbeing in sight. The government seems to have ignored the islands falling under Union Council-41, which includes Baba Island. This place seems to have fallen prey to everlasting bereavement in the government’s books. Moreover, their hopes have been further snuffed as the youth wastes its precious years in dirt, seawater pollution and gutka addiction. It is also hard to stay away from the range of diseases that arise from polluted seawater.
Transportation, sanitation, shelter and clean water remain the community’s main issues. “I do not sell fish and, therefore, I am not unemployed during summer,” says Mohammad Omer, a chicken shop owner on the island. “But who do I sell chicken to if my customers do not have the money to purchase it?” Omer says that he incurs a greater cost in carrying the meat from the main city to the island, but doesn’t earn much return from it.
A good idea is to translate this "sad article" in Arabic . And get it published in some reputable Saudi or Emirati magazines. This may catch the eye of some rich "Ummah sympathizer", who may share his unearned wealth ( largesse) with his co-religionists

Pakistan chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar expresses concern about overpopulation

While sharing the motion poster of the biopic, Indian television actress Reem Shaikh, who portrays Malala, tweeted that the film has entered the post-production stage.
Directed by Indian filmmaker Amjad Khan, the cast of the film includes Divya Dutta, Reem Shaikh, Mukesh Rishi, Abhimanyu Singh and Ajaz Khan. May not go well in Pakiland due to "Indian involvement" . Malala is of course "exclusively Paki" like Mohenjodaro !
All-girl team from Pakistan build Formula car
Breaking the gender stereotype, 13 Pakistani female students have designed and built a racing car and will be representing their country at the International Formula Student competition in England this month, reported Arab News Pakistan.
Not sure if THIS has got the "seal of approval" from the Mullahs of Pakistan !
Voting for women is haram, says PML-N candidate. In a controversial claim, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Muzaffargarh candidate Haroon Sultan said it is “haram” to vote for women candidates, reported The News.
So much for the hyped image of "Naya Pakistan" , that Imran Khan is trying to portray for Pakiland
PTI Balochistan president ineligible to contest elections. The Balochistan high court Tuesday ruled that Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, provincial president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), will not be eligible to contest in the upcoming general elections, reported The Dawn.Rind’s nomination papers were rejected by an appellate tribunal and returning officer (RO) for submitting a fake degree and facing several murder and kidnapping cases. Rind moved the BHC after his disqualification.
Sorry ! One of the unlucky one who just got caught by " mistake "
Candidates in Multan look towards Ansari biradari for backing. From bribing voters to relying on the biradari system (similar to caste system) and using their influence to win elections, politicians in Pakistan can cross limits for power, said a Samaa report. In Multan’s PP-195 constituency, the Ansaari biradari, which has 70,000 votes, have always voted as a single unit. The Ansari-backed candidates have been winning elections since 1993.
Biradari is a "big thing" in Pakiland. According to Russian author, Anatol Lieven , biradari is the glue that keeps Pakiland together !
Third edition of Pakistan Super League’s media exposure worth over $230 mn. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the combined media exposure value of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) exceeded value of $230 million, ( Statistics Made In Sialkot  ) reported GeoTV.

Individuals contributing to this fund will be exempt of any scrutiny by all authorities, including the tax officials.

“The utilization of the said funds shall be subject to audit as per directions of this court.”
Please note this is a sophisticated scheme by Suar Motor My Lard to siphon off the money. Can never trust a Paki.

Good news. Only half of the baki population is registered to vote. Guess, which half?

Pakistan’s only half population registered as voters: ECP
In a shocking revelation, the Election Commission of Pakistan has found that only half of the country’s population is registered as voters.
awareness, low motivation and logistical issues
the Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the lowest percentage of voters in Pakistan in terms of its population i.e., 20 percent, while the Jhelum district of Punjab has the highest as 77 percent of its population as registered voters.
Among provinces, Punjab is on top on the list is with 55 percent of its population as registered voters, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA 50 each, Sindh 47 while Islamabad has 38 percent of its population as voters. Balochistan is at the bottom with 35 percent of its population as registered voters.
My bet is that the majority of the missing voters are women. Do they need four character witnesses to register to vote? Hain?

As per Paki Policies, all the military personnel get substantial land holdings per their rank. This is in addition to what they already posses for doing downhill skying prior to their promotion. Look for DHA to announce new schemes to acquire(usurp) additional land parcels in Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtookhwa.

CJP Now Shifts His Attention To Fast Depleting Monies ! Is This "My- Laard" Suffering From Attention Deficit Disorder

Before tax amnesty, Pakistan lacked funds for two-month imports: CJP
July 5, 2018
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar revealed on Wednesday that Pakistan did not have enough funds to cater for the imports of two months prior to the launch of the tax amnesty scheme. Now with the amnesty scheme, the situation had improved to such an extent that the government had enough resources to pay salaries of its employees and pensions [of retired employees], he said while heading a two-judge bench that had taken up a case pertaining to loan write-off.
Hope he does not end up going to a hospital, after suffering a stroke or taking "stress leave" from his hectic schedule
The chief justice observed that the funds generated through recovery from the loan defaulters would be utilised for construction of dams in the country.
His current obsession is "paani" for the Aam Abduls !
The suo motu case was initiated in 2008 on press reports that the central bank had quietly allowed commercial banks to write off non-performing loans under a scheme introduced by former president Pervez Musharraf.
The court also dropped hints that special banking tribunals might be constituted to try the loan defaulters, adding that the appeals against decisions of the tribunals would be heard only by the Supreme Court.
Throwing good money after bad money, at least IMO. If they are going after loan defaulters, Ganja Sharif and his "crooked" brother-in-law, Dar should be hauled in from Bartania to explain all that gol -maal and the cooking of the books !

The Mullahs Of Khadim Rizvi's Labbaik Muscle In To The Paki Election Tamasha

Religious groups jump into electoral fray in a big way
July 05, 2018
ISLAMABAD: A lesser known religious party — Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) — that gained prominence after it staged a prolonged sit-in at the intersection between Rawalpindi and Islamabad crippling life in the twin cities last year on the issue of Khatm-i-Nubuwat declaration, has jumped into electoral politics in a big way, fielding more candidates than many of the parties active in the political arena for decades.
They have even set up roadside stands to publicize their message and by giving free "Eid gifts" to those Abduls who may be "Islami minded" in a very "serious" way :D
According to an incomplete ‘final list’ of the candidates announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after an unexplained and unusual delay on Wednesday, the TLP has fielded more than 150 candidates for National Assembly seats across the country.
This cannot happen without the "help'" of the Deep State !
The candidates of the Milli Muslim League, which has been denied registration by the ECP due to its alleged links with banned outfit Jamaatud Dawa led by Hafiz Saeed, will be using the platform of the Allah-o-Akbar Tehreek (AAT) to contest the polls. The AAT has fielded 43 candidates in Punjab and seven in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), which makes the total number of its candidates 50.
Where there is a ( Deep State ) will, there is a way !
The allotment of the ‘jeep’ symbol in such large numbers and to most of the PML-N dissidents has triggered a debate, particularly on social media, suggesting that those contesting on the symbol are backed by the establishment.Chaudhry Nisar, however, has disassociated himself from the other independent candidates contesting on the ‘jeep’ symbol, and denied formation of any group within the PML-N.
Nisar is of course, a fauji man !
Maryam Nawaz in a message on her official account on Twitter has alleged that “the votes to be polled for jeep will go to khalayi makhlooq”, a reference to the “invisible forces” which, according to her father and ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, are behind the alleged victimisation of the PML-N and the Sharif family.

Surprise ! VIP Culture Still Thriving In Pakistan Inspite Of All This BS About "Islamic Brotherhood And Equality"

Citizens protest against VIP culture

Image
KARACHI: Citizens on Wednesday protested outside the Karachi Press Club against what they described as ‘VIP culture’ saying that incidents of harassment, abuse and physical assault by security men in protocol of VIPs were growing. Some of the youths also shared their personal experiences to this effect. They carried banners inscribed with slogans such as ‘No VIP culture’, etc, and chanted slogans demanding setting up of rules for VIPs’ movement and proper training and sensitisation of their security men.
Just because, the rich and the poor pray in the same neighbourhood masjid , and both wear the derigueur shalwar -kameez ( one is wearing satin silk of course !) , does not mean that they are equal
Jibran Nasir said that VIP culture had become a norm in the country as the common people were being subjected to harassment, abuse and physical assault. He recalled that initially citizens were subjected to traffic jams, delays or being forced to change routes to allow ‘VIP movements’. But now it had become increasing unbearable and unsafe to drive on a road if a VIP was travelling on it, he added. He said VIPs through their protocol officers coerced citizens to break traffic rules and give them way intimidating and traumatising citizens through different means. He said such incidents also happened when victim drivers have families with them, including children in their cars.

KP Tribals Not Interested In Polio Drive :D

Karak people boycott anti-polio drive
KARAK, KP Province : The residents of Gurguri on Wednesday boycotted the anti-polio campaign and also stopped movement of the vehicles of foreign oil and gas exploration company, MOL, in protest against poor road infrastructure and lack of basic facilities.
The local traders also closed down their businesses and joined the protest. The protesters said elected representatives had failed to resolve their problems over the years. They said Gurguri was contributing a lion’s share to the province’s revenue generated from oil and gas exploration, but the people were deprived of even basic amenities of life.
KP Province is ruled by Imran Khan's PTI Party !
The local administration officials tried to persuade them to end the protest and support the vaccination drive, but the protesters vowed to continue with the agitation till resolution of demands.
Karak is 125 miles from Peshawar on the main Peshawar - Karachi Highway . The Pashtuns of KP are "not impressed" with the Federal Pakjabi based Admin !

Paki House Of Cards ? Pakistan Stock Exchage crashes, lost Rs 233 billion in a single day. :D
4 Jul, 2018
KARACHI – Pakistan stock market nosedived largest since August 2017, on decision of Avenfield Reference, Pakistan capital market recorded a decline of 1200 points during the session which was the largest fall since August 2017 where financial institutions sold large chunks of blue chips, trading and investment shares on back of noise of general elections, weak economic indicators and continuous selling from foreign investors. An analyst from Ismail Iqbal Securities said that the market witnessed worst decline in percentage terms since August 15, 2017. Bearish sentiment was attributable to the upcoming verdict on Avenfield case that will affect the political future of a major political party, PML-N.
An analyst from Arif Habib said market went down because of warning flashed by Fitch on Pakistan s on Pakistan economy and pending decision on Avenfield case pertinent to Nawaz Sharif.
The index plunged by more than 1200 points which has been the single largest decline since the beginning of 2018 and since last nose dive accorded in August 2017. On August 15, 2017 when market showed a fall of 1389 points where the reason was same as of today political humming, drear economic picture, widening current account deficit and outflow from foreign fund houses.
The KSE-100 index closed 2.9 percent slipping below 41000 points level to 40345 points. The market capitalization recorded an erosion of nearly Rs 233 billion.
Stock market is one main indicator of the state of a nation's economy . The Pakistan Stock Exchange is now mainly controlled by Chini interests . Have they been sucked in and now taken for a royal ride. Time will tell !. And Pakistan is not yet been "upgraded" to the dreaded Black List of FATF . "Shrewd Investors" should wait a bit longer to pick up Paki stocks dirt cheap . Now is the time to "short sell" some so-called blue -chip stocks of Pakistan! ( like Sui Gas, Burmah Shell, Pakistan Tobacco etc etc)

Sinkholes bring Lahore under international media glare after rain
Torrential rain killed at least six people in Lahore on Tuesday, wreaking havoc on city's infrastructure.Rainwater submerged most parts of the city where Shahbaz Sharif, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and contender for prime minister's office, have spent billions of rupees on infrastructure during the last decade. As the former government came under severe criticism from opposition parties just days before the election, the damages inflicted by the heavy rain also placed the city in the glare of international media's spotlight.CNN in its coverage of disaster focused on the two sinkholes that appeared on a thoroughfare in the metropolis.
Shahbaaz and his cronies have also been accused of "gobbling up CPEC monies " meant for Multan Metro . This is per Imran Khan, therefore, it has to be discounted a bit  .

PS: Besides the famous Badshahi Masjid, and the Shalimar Garden, La-Whore is also for "Heera Mandi" ( the notorious Red Light Area !) in whose shadow , also "sits" , the Famous Food Street of La-Whore, features items like nihari and paya-sira ( Ganja's favourite ), Pindi Chani, lassi etc etc

Indian High Commissioner hopes bilateral relations will improve after elections in Pakistan

India's High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria, while addressing a seminar in Islamabad on Thursday, hoped that the relations between India and Pakistan will improve after the 2018 general elections.

"We hope that Pak-India relations will improve following the general elections in Pakistan," Bisaria said, adding that the two countries started facing strained relations since 1999.

"There has been a mutual contract to not harass diplomats from either side," the Indian high commissioner said while referring to the agreement which was announced through a statement simultaneously issued by the Foreign Office and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in March this year.

The statement reads: “India and Pakistan have mutually agreed to resolve matters related to the treatment of diplomats and diplomatic premises, in line with the 1992 ‘Code of Conduct’ for treatment of diplomatic/consular personnel in India and Pakistan.”
He also said that poverty is both countries' mutual enemy and that the people of both nations do not hate each other.

"The truth is that terrorist events hindered the talks between the two countries," he said while adding that the two countries need to take baby steps in order to make their relationship better.

Cheers
