Massa's Man Coming To Isloo To "Check Up On The New Guy"

Pompeo to visit Islamabad for talks with PM Khan

Aug 19, 2018
Dawn
United States (US) Secretary of State Michael Pompeo is likely to visit Islamabad in the first week of September for consultations with Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team on issues of mutual interests, diplomatic and official sources told Dawn.Pompeo, who is expected in Islamabad on Sept 5, will likely be the first foreign dignitary to meet the newly elected prime minister, who took oath of his office on Saturday.During his talks with Pakistani officials, Secretary Pompeo may focus on two major issues: efforts to revive once close ties between the two states and Pakistan’s support for a US-led move to jump-starting the Afghan peace process, the sources said. Alice Wells, who heads the Bureau for South Asian affairs at the State Department, may also accompany Pompeo, the sources added.
Pompeo, ( Ex CIA) is POTUS's trusted right bxll , and a "no -nonsense" guy . Fresh from his dealings with the President of NOKO . Trump has vowed that he is going to tighten the screws on Pakiland, unless they stop "creating mischief" in Afghanistan ! Upto now, these are almost "empty threats" . Paki shenanigans in Afghanistan are increasing ( Ghazni attack ) IMO, Pakis still hold trump card of policeman. Control entry and exit to landlocked Afghanistan. USA supply lines ! On the other hand , Pakis desperately need US Moolahs and the US controls THAT pipeline . Pompeo has made it clear that he is not going to loan US Taxpayer Monies ( via IMF ) to bailing out Paki Chinese debt . So, it is going to be interesting from that perspective
Earlier this week, US officials urged Pakistan to help end the Afghan war, adding that recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan have not discouraged them from negotiating peace with some Taliban factions. "What we’re seeing here is, there are some factions, some elements of the Taliban that clearly are not on board with peace. Others do want to have peace negotiations and peace discussions," said State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert while commenting on this week’s terrorist attacks in Kabul that killed almost 50 people.
Pakistan, through its proxies in Afghanistan wants nothing less than a pro Paki Govt there !!!
On Tuesday, a senior US official reminded Pakistan that now was the time to peacefully end the 17-year old war in Afghanistan and encouraged Islamabad to play a leading role in this process.Apparently, Washington believes that Pakistan still has enough influence over the Afghan Taliban to persuade them to join the peace process, and wants Islamabad to help establish a political setup in Kabul that would allow a peaceful withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
On July 27, the State Department had expressed "concerns about flaws in the pre-voting electoral process", noting that "these included constraints placed on freedoms of expression and association" during the campaign period. The department pointed out that such practices were "at odds with Pakistani authorities’ stated goal of a fully fair and transparent election." Relations between Pakistan and the US nosedived in January when President Donald Trump accused Islamabad of providing "safe haven" to the terrorists who kill American soldiers in Afghanistan while taking billions of dollars in aid from Washington.

Outgoing setup suggests harsh economic measures to PTI - Shahbaz Rana

ISLAMABAD: In order to avoid an International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout, the outgoing setup advised the new government to immediately take harsh measures and introduce steep fiscal adjustment of over Rs600 billion as well as increase interest rates close to double digits.

The outgoing setup’s recipe for policy formulation also included a further 8% devaluation, urging the new government to let the currency fall to Rs135 to the US dollar before the current fiscal year ends, showed the policy recommendation paper, prepared by outgoing caretaker finance minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar.

It proposed to immediately increase the key policy rate by another 200 basis points to 9.5% to curb aggregate demand, which according to the caretaker finance minister has led to “overheating” of the economy. A sharp cut in development expenditure has been proposed with relatively low tax efforts in the ongoing fiscal year.

If these three measures are not taken, foreign exchange reserves would fall to $6.3 billion by the end of December 2018, warned the caretakers. There is a risk that the economy will destabilise even further to a point where markets will panic and investor confidence will erode, according to the caretaker government’s assessment.

Prime Minister Imran Khan took oath of the office and also unveiled his 21-member federal cabinet on Saturday. In line with expectations, Asad Umar was nominated as the Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs.

The caretaker government proposed another reform scenario to deal with the “current financial crisis”, with advice that will yield results in the short to medium term. The second option includes massive tax efforts, but no major cuts on expenditures. This option includes the introduction of a wealth tax.

Pakistan faces a twin-deficit crisis, in which its current account deficit has ballooned to an unsustainable level of $18 billion while its fiscal deficit has widened to 6.8% of the GDP or Rs2.3 trillion.

Default on foreign debt obligations is not an option, as it will lead to severe breach of agreements, which have their consequences, including compounding economic crisis and loss of investors’ confidence, it added.

The caretaker setup suggested to the PTI government to take these “reform measures within three weeks”, if it wants to avoid recourse to the IMF. Umar also said that the government will have to finalise its options before the end of September.

The caretakers’ assessment showed that Pakistan faces a severe financial crisis. While growth remains strong and inflation low, the economy has overheated to a state where private consumption has pushed the current account deficit to an unprecedented level.

The caretaker government traced roots of the current financial crisis in the last government’s failure to lay the foundation for an export-oriented economy that could have generated the desired level of foreign exchange earnings. It added that the PML-N government pursued policies that increased economic growth and domestic demand to a point where demand far exceeded productive capacity of the economy.

It warned that the previous measures of increasing the interest rates to 7.5% and devaluing the rupee to Rs124 to the dollar would prove inadequate to address the challenges due to low level of foreign exchange reserves and projected higher budget deficit of 7.1% of GDP or Rs2.9 trillion.

1st scenario

The caretaker government suggested steep, but immediate fiscal adjustment to the tune of Rs612 billion or 1.6% of GDP. This should largely come from a Rs460-billion cut in overall expenditures and Rs153 billion worth of tax efforts.

“The main goal for the new government should be based on principles of stabilisation.”

The government should consider medium-term macroeconomic measures in the shape of a prudent fiscal policy, tight monetary stance and a flexible exchange-rate regime, it stated. The caretakers suggested increasing the FBR’s tax target to Rs4.5 trillion. It proposed to take additional revenue measures of Rs180 billion and reversal in the reduction in income tax rates for individuals, which were introduced by the last PML-N government. The caretakers have recommended reducing the petroleum development levy target from Rs300 billion to Rs200 billion. It proposed to reduce the PSDP from Rs850 billion to Rs350 billion, seeking to limit core projects like CPEC, Diamer-Bhasha dam and Mohmand dam.

It also advised to institute a mechanism with the help of the Council of Common Interests to deduct an upfront Rs215 billion amount from the shares of the federating units to ensure provincial surpluses.

All new recruitments and procurements are proposed to be banned other than those approved by the finance minister. It also advised that all types of food and fertiliser subsidies should be abolished.

Outcomes

The caretakers hope that these measures should lower the budget deficit from projected 7.1% of GPD to around 5% of GDP or Rs2 trillion.

As a result of these measures, the external current account deficit would be lowered to a point where the financing gap will be reduced to a more manageable level. But the economic growth will slow down to 5% and inflation will inch up to 7.4%.

In this scenario, the IMF programme will not be required on the pretext of sharp reduction in government expenditures and projected financial inflows in the capital account, according to the caretaker finance minister’ assessment.

It has projected that due to these measures, the current account deficit will reduce by half to $8 billion, SBP’s reserves would increase to $11.2 billion and the financing gap will only be $2.8 billion.

2nd scenario: the IMF programme

In the second scenario, the government will have to make considerable tax efforts and the additional fiscal space will be used to increase development expenditures. The real interest rates will be maintained at 1.5%, close to 9%. Under this scenario, the IMF programme will be required due to a higher financing gap. The current account deficit will be $11 billion by the end of this fiscal year, SBP’s reserves will be $8.2 billion and the financing gap will be $6.7 billion.

This scenario suggests increasing the FBR’s tax collection target to Rs4.9 trillion. The caretaker government has suggested introduction of a wealth tax to get additional revenues. In this scenario, the tax effort should be equal to Rs560 billion.

"Every Day Our Jawans Shot": Amarinder Singh Lashes Out At Navjot Sidhu

"Every day our jawans are getting martyred. To hug their Chief General Bajwa... I am against this. The fact is that the man should understand that our soldiers are being killed. My own regiment lost one Major and two jawans a few months ago and everyday somebody is being shot," Mr Singh said.

He said while the seating arrangement was not in the hands of Mr Sidhu, "It was wrong of him to have shown affection towards the Pakistan Army Chief".

When Will Jalebi As Human Rights Minister Deliver Justice In The Naqibullah Case . And Why Is This Killer Allowed Permission To Leave Karachi And Celebrate Eid With His Family

Rao Anwar allowed to leave city to spend Eid with family
News International
Aug 19, 2018
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has allowed former Malir senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rao Anwar to go anywhere in the city to meet his relatives to spend Eidul Azha with them.
Anwar, along with over a dozen police subordinates, has been standing trial over charges of involvement in the murders of South Waziristan navtive Naqeebullah Mehsud, 27, and three other citizens in a fake police encounter in Shah Latif Town in January this year.
According to media reports, permission was granted to the suspended police officer on is request during a hearing on Saturday. Anwar filed a petition seeking permission to meet his family members outside Karachi. He took the plea that family members were coming from Dubai to celebrate Eidul Azha, but due to security concerns he could not celebrate the Eid festival in Karachi.
The prosecution lawyer, Salahuddin Panhwar, raised an objection to the petition, saying that a petition for the transfer of the trial from the court was pending and the court could not therefore issue an order on the petition. But the court accepted the plea of Anwar after hearing the arguments of both parties. The court said that the accused could go outside the city to meet his family members but he could not go outside the country. — Online
News Desk adds: Expressing their concern over the trial court’s decision to release former SSP Rao Anwar on bail, the Grand Jirga formed to seek justice for slain Naqeebullah Mehsud has announced that they would challenge the decision in the Sindh High Court and also request the case’s transfer to Islamabad.
After a pause of several weeks since the court decision, the Jirga elders and prominent rights activist Jibran Nasir addressed a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Friday expressing their anger over Anwar’s release. The former Malir SSP is accused of leading a police team that killed Naqeebullah, a 27-year-old aspiring model, in a fake shootout in Malir on January 13. Three others were also killed in the encounter.
On July 21, an anti-terrorism court had issued release orders for Anwar, a day after the court granted him bail in a case pertaining to possession of illegal weapons and explosives – the same materials that the police team had placed on the victims’ bodies in the fake encounter to make them look like terrorists.
Mehmood Mehsud, a jirga leader and former councillor from Sohrab Goth, said that the jirga had reservations regarding the ATC decision which allowed the notorious encounter specialist to be released. “Anwar is not only involved in the killing of Naqeebullah. He is also responsible for the murders of 444 other people in fake shootouts in the city,” he said.
According to Mehsud, the army chief and chief justice of Pakistan had also promised Naqeeb’s family that they will get justice. “Even the police department itself has declared Anwar a killer and criminal in its report, but despite all this he did not go to jail for a single day and now he has been released by granting bail,” he said.
Jalebi - as the New Human Rights Minister , under Imran's Naya Pakistan , should prioritize this case and deliver justice to the Naqeebullah family ASAP !!!

Expect To Hear More Bakwaas In The Coming Days About The Islamic Welfare State In The Naya Pakistan Of Imran Khan

Want Pakistan to become Islamic welfare state, says PM Imran

-The broken record of "Islamic Welfare State" will be added to the broken record (collection ) of" Kashmir is the Core Issue between India and Pakistan "

-IMO, Imran's sherbet of a Islamic Welfare State is highly contingent- ( in the very, very, long term !) on Massa/ IMF obliging Pakiland with a massive loan with stringent conditions like privatization of pani, bijli, gas, and other utilities . And paying market prices for "everything under the sun" produced in Pakiland and sold to the Aam Abduls ! And hefty, hefty import duties on everything to make sure that at least the loan interest is remitted back to Massaland. And, if necessary, sending ISI Goons to collect millions of income tax dollars owing to the bankrupt Paki Govt, by high level civil and military officials, business cronies of faujis like Malik Riaz etc etc , and "demanding" that feudals now pay agriculture tax on sale of their products ! As yet no international loan agencies has been successful to browbeat Pakiland in reducing the white elephant expenditure of DEFENCE. That is a very very sacred cow - Untouchable IMO

All Hail the new Terroristanonomics!

‘Pakistan can address payment woes by curbing GDP growth’ - Shahram Haq

LAHORE: Pakistan can tackle its balance of payments woes by slowing down gross domestic product (GDP) growth through fiscal and monetary contraction as currently it is the only short-term solution for the country’s economic managers, suggested a research conducted by the Lahore School of Economics (LSE). :rotfl:

For the long run, Pakistan’s policymakers needed to develop an industrial strategy aimed at producing higher value-added export goods, it said. The argument presented by researchers was that it was the high GDP growth that caused the recurring balance of payments problem.

“The fundamental reason behind this is that there exists structural weakness in Pakistan’s economy in terms of composition of exports since a higher growth is accompanied by significantly higher imports, but only slightly higher exports,” they said.

“The reason for low export growth is that Pakistan is caught in a low value-added export production trap.”

Researchers found that there existed a balance of payments-constrained maximum growth rate in Pakistan of approximately 5%. “This means that every time the growth rate goes above 5%, the current account significantly deteriorates.”

The current account deterioration, they said, was historically caused by unsustainable level of high imports when growth rose above the 5% threshold.

Researchers also found that a change in the real exchange rate did not have a significant impact on the current account balance.

They presented some key policy recommendations. “First, with an effective exchange rate devaluation of approximately 20%, the overvaluation problem of the rupee has now been mostly resolved so there is little economic justification for further devaluation.”

It was also noted that because of inelasticity of imports and exports, the devaluation on its own would not solve the balance of payments crisis.

Second, only a sharp slowdown in growth caused by a significant fiscal (and potentially monetary) contraction will stabilise the current account in the short run.

Also, tariff increases on consumer goods, in particular luxury goods, should be strongly considered to slow the unsustainable influx of imports. In the long run, a well-defined industrial strategy is needed to help Pakistani manufacturers move from lower value-added exports to higher value-added exports.

Peregrine- Ji :

Pakis, IMO are contaminating ( and probably misrepresenting ) the prestigious name of London School Of Economics, popularly known as L.S.E . They have a permanent and annoying habit of plagiarize everything under the sun and/or either shamelessly claiming it as their own ( Indus Valley Civilization, Taj Mahal, Red Fort ) or Missiles and Rockets (named after Malsic marauders ) manufactured either in Cheen or NOKO and falsely claiming that it is indigenous ! THEY HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT TO ABBREVIATE LA-WHORE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AS LSE

PS: Here are some interesting Paki "Think Tanks" . Names Given to them are coming to bite them in the behind

From PISS to RANDI— Pakistan have interesting strategic think tanks
By Eurasia News -
April 21, 2015

Islamabad, Pakistan: The former federal minister of Pakistan Mushahid Hussian Syed is a personal friend of Dr. Shireen Mazari ( of Jalebi fame !) of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) and both are strategic writers.Mazari headed Pakistan Institute of Strategic Studies (PISS that has virtual meanings of urination) while Mushahid Hussian Syed has come out with “Research and Development International (RANDI—virtual meaning in Urdu and Hindi as Prostitute).
Indian strategic experts and journalists are enjoying and laughing while using word RANDI for Pakistan and China strategic think tank since yesterday.

Looks Like A Personality Cult ( Like Ayub And Zia ) Is Being Developed Around The Person Of The Kaptaan

PM Imran Khan reaches office in casual attire on first day
Pakistan Today
Aug 19, 2018
Prime Minister Imran Khan reached office in rather casual attire on his first day as the head of the state. The pictures shared by Imran Khan’s official Facebook page showed the new premier in trouser and T-shirt with joggers as he reached the office.
So, the social media vehicle of Facebook ( Amreeki Kufr invention !) is shamelessly being abused to "pump up" the "mard image" of the Kaptaan
“No holiday when there is a country to be run, Prime Minister Imran Khan has reached the office,” the post by official page read.
That "explains" the diary/notebook in the PM's hand, white exiting jogging . Any "light bulb" ideas can be quickly noted down via "old tech" method, before they escape the drug infested mind of the Kaptaan
Mentioning the security concerns, one user wrote: “Please be careful bahaduri or cheez hai or bewakoofi or…… security measures must be tightened. Bohat dushmano ko takleef hai Pakistan se”.
RAA agents in the bushes around Bani Gala
Talking about Khan’s fitness routine, one user wrote: “No Compromise on Physical fitness even in PM House, the Security Squad Got a Person of Thier Level.”
No doubt about it . The awaam is being given a blow by blow detail of the Kaptaan's day . Did he fart, did he piss, and when was the last time he went to the bathroom for a # 2  Expect daily pictures of Imran on each page of Paki newspaper. And TV News will be dominated by his activities ( like in Saudia , NOKO, or China ) !!!

Among Other Things, The "Pious Kaptaan" Now Claims That PBUH Is His Role Model

Unconventional & extempore: PM Imran Khan unfolds his vision of ‘Naya Pakistan,’ promises sweeping reforms in inaugural address (VIDEO)
Aug 19, 2018
LAHORE – Prime Minister Imran Khan pledged that his government would cut spending, launch sweeping reforms and take austerity measures that affect the welfare of the nation. In his inaugural address to the nation on Sunday, Prime Minister Khan thanked his supporters and workers for standing by him during his political struggle. The address began following the recitation from Holy Quran ( what is the big deal here! It is a "given" in Pakistan. After all, it has chosen itself to be called "Islamic Republic" ! ) and the playing of the national anthem.
First of all, I would like to thank my workers who joined my movement and jihad. I want to remember two of my colleagues, first Ahsan Rashid, who passed away and Saloni Bokhari. They joined my party during my early days.
“I never considered politics a career. For me, the Holy Prophet is my role model. (This is a bit "too rich" coming from a person who has a world wide reputation of being a playboy and a lothario . Maybe, just maybe, he may have come to Malsi , later in his life, under the influence of the Peerni  My mission is to transform Pakistan into a state it was supposed to become. I want to let my nation what are the challenges our nation is facing.”
“Our national debt has reached at Rs28, 000 billion. The debt we took over the last 10 years has doubled. We are facing a situation where we have to take loans to pay off the interests on our foreign debt.”“The pressure being faced by rupee is due to foreign debts. On one hand, we are under heavy debt, on the other hand, our human development index is at the lowest in the region.”
Hint being thrown that the goal of Islamic Welfare State will be put in "cold storage" for the time being
According to UN report, we are ranked in five countries where more infant mortality rate is very high. Do the Aam Abduls under this concept . Is it an indirect way of saying, that "go easy on the procreation side of things " :D
In Pakistan, our ruling elite is living a luxurious life. Prime Minister of Pakistan has more than 500 employees. The prime minister uses 80 vehicles. “We have rest houses, chief minister houses, secretaries and DCs and commissioners. They live in big houses.”
Nothing about golf courses "needed" by the Fauji Elites and the wastage of scarce water required to maintain them , in a country where people cannot get water in the pipes. Why did he not mention THAT
One one side, our nation is the debut and on the other hand, there is the ruling elite who has the luxurious lifestyle.
Why then did he reside in his "big Bani Gala kothi" when he was NOT PM !
A prime minister spends 650 million on foreign visits. Why do they such expensive visits? Why do they achieve? Do they go there to conquer countries?
Unless substantiated , (650 Million) he is just "throwing figures" to impress the uneducated awaam or at the least, further demonize Ganja and his parties !!!
“We have to change our mindset and lifestyle if we have to save our nation. Another problem Pakistan faces is from global warming and climate change. It’s about time we change our mindset and way of life. Our role model the of Holy Prophet (PBUH). First of all, we have to adhere to rule of law which is vital to change our destiny. Two courts had to face courts of law. ”
There were rumours that his Party in KP was in bed with the Timber Mafia !
Zakat. Then there was the system of Zakat. It means people have to pay progressive taxes, a concept the western nations have adopted. There was the system of merit in the state of Medina. Our caliphs used to present themselves for accountability. Rulers were not above the law.
The "golden age of Malsi" once again. :D Fazl of JUI and the other Jamaat e- Islami should be "happy" at this reference !
Conflict of interest. When Hazrat Umar (RA) became caliph, he shut down his clothing business due to conflict of interest. Now, look at our rulers, who joined politics to make money. Education. The greatest world leader Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to emphasize on education. The principles of the state of Medina had been adopted by the West. We also need to adopt them.
When the whole world is marching forward , this Oxford "educated" PM is looking toward Malsi for the answers to the problems of his country !!!
Pakistan was not established to replace the rich Hindu elite with Muslims. We have to protect our marginalized communities.
No speech in Pakiland is complete without at least one dig at the Hindus or India . Imran is no exception  Lots of "feel good" bromides on various other topics as well. IMO, the Kaptaan is preparing the Paki Awaam for "hard times ahead" . Kind of a come-down from his election promises . Fun will start when the Awaam feels that it has been cheated . Imran will lay the blame on the previous govts for the mess !!!

Here comes the Kashkol Beggers' Battalion!

New govt has no option but to borrow to clear growing debt: official - Khaleeq Kiani

ISLAMABAD: To hit the ground running — when it formally starts functioning this week — the new PTI-led coalition government is estimated to require an upfront settlement and restructuring of almost Rs1.9 trillion worth of liabilities and receivables of public sector entities. Debt, Debt Glorious Debt, Nothing like it to Cool the Blood! To be sung to the Tune of "The Hippopotamus Song."

A senior government official said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government would have to make book adjustments and oversee write-offs — apart from resorting to different kinds of borrowing — to clear the stockpile of debt and liabilities of loss-making entities.

The official explained that a major portion of the liabilities piled up over time due to the widening gap between payables and receivables in loss-making companies, which is a classic example of inter-corporate circular debt. The rising debt may require a fresh liquidity of Rs600-700 billion.

That would also allow Finance Minister Asad Umar to project a higher fiscal deficit at the beginning of his term against the 4.9 per cent GDP booked in budget documents by the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government. Mr Umar has already described the deficit numbers as unrealistic and has claimed that he would bring to the public knowledge data that he believes to be understated expenditures or over-stated flows.

Giving a general rundown on some of the major liabilities and receivables, the official said that power sector circular debt alone amounted to Rs1.150tr, which included Rs566bn worth of fresh flow of debt. The latter is mostly a result of short recoveries against billing, theft and line losses.

Of this, about Rs570bn is payable to independent power producers and generation companies — including the Water and Power Development Authority — for electricity they supplied to distribution companies through the National Transmission & Dispatch Company and the Central Power Purchasing Agency. The amount also includes Rs110bn in capacity payments.

Another Rs583bn circular debt is parked in a special purpose vehicle called the Power Holding Company Limited. Although a major part of these liabilities is being financed through power tariff in the shape of financing cost surcharge against loans secured from commercial banks, about Rs155bn of fresh borrowing secured during the last stretch of the PML-N government is still unfunded.

Moreover, the liabilities of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) are also estimated close to Rs380bn, almost 123pc higher than the Rs170bn outlay five years ago. The official said that the entire amount was not required to be paid immediately, but the airline required regular rolling over of its outstanding loans against government guarantees to avoid default. It will require a major restructuring to put the national flag carrier and its balance sheet on an even keel.

Next on the list of loss-making entities is the Pakistan Steel Mills that stands practically closed since June 2015 due to gas supply being curtailed. The mill has payable debts and liabilities of about Rs230bn, besides Rs225bn in losses. Its closure has since caused almost $10bn worth of foreign exchange loss to the nation in the shape of steel and iron imports that could have otherwise been produced at home.

The official said that even though the Pakistan State Oil was a profitable firm — and the country’s largest in terms of revenue — its receivables were more than Rs335bn as of Aug 15. The number includes a recoverable amount of Rs159bn from generation companies, Rs77bn from the Hub Power Company (Hubco) and Rs46bn from the Kot Addu Power Company (Kapco).

The official explained that the government would have to manage funding arrangements for distribution companies so that they could make payments to independent power producers, including Hubco and Kapco. Getting these funds together is critical given the fact that a mammoth Rs820bn of power recoverable bills is outstanding against both public and private sector consumers.

In his press conference on Aug 7, Mr Umar had criticised the PML-N government for presenting an unrealistic budget knowingly and recklessly spending for political purposes.

He said that the previous government had borrowed heavily, which increased fiscal deficit in the last fiscal year to 7.1pc, instead of the targeted 4.1pc. He said that at present Pakistan’s situation was dire at best and required tough decisions to correct the course for the future.

There are so many tds. on Pak,can't we simplify them and have fewer?

Here's a take on Sidhu's visit and the reasons for the hug.
The problem with Indo-Pak relations is that there has been too much in the past of grand gestures, which have always been derailed by acts of terror, etc. It is far better to make small incremental steps at a time, rather than aim high and fall flat from a great height. Sidhu's bonhomie is going to come a cropper with the next terror attack. Imran and the PM too should be wary of the real power in Pak that pulls the strings, the army.It has been repeatedly duplicitous over decades and the sensible Paki army chiefs who were more professionally minded than political, retired into obscurity, while bandicoots like Mush-a-rat squeak ,responsible for the Kargil War at regular intervals. But then there is the ever-present Indo-Pak "p*ss" industry which wants permanent freebies for the interlocutors and back-channel (anal) experts at the expense of both nations!

Imran Khan Says That He Wants To Focus On Austerity .

Imran Khan ditches hundreds of servants as part of Pakistan austerity drive
The Guardian, UK
August 20, 2018
Reuters
Pakistan’s new prime minister, Imran Khan, called on Sunday for the rich to start paying taxes and said the country will begin an austerity drive to reduce debt, a campaign he will kickstart by selling his office’s fleet of bulletproof cars. Khan faces ‘grave difficulties’ as he takes on role of Pakistan PM. In his first address to the nation as premier, Khan set out his vision for a “new Pakistan” and spoke at length about the need to reshape the country by introducing an Islamic welfare system, reducing poverty and slashing high debt levels.“We have formed a bad habit of living on loans and aid from other countries,” said Khan, speaking under a portrait of his hero and Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah. “No country can prosper like this. A country must stand on its own feet.”
Sentiments are "commendable" but such changes in attitude, beliefs and implementation take time and cannot be adopted overnite. !
The 65-year-old cricketing legend was sworn in as prime minister on Saturday after his party swept to power in last month’s election. A firebrand populist, Khan’s appeal has soared in recent years on the back of his anti-corruption drive, which has resonated with young voters and the expanding middle class in the mainly Muslim nation of 208 million people. But Khan has inherited a host of problems at home and abroad, including a brewing currency crisis and fraying relations with Pakistan’s historic ally, the US.
Khan did not shed any light on policy plans to deal with the currency woes that analysts expect will force Pakistan to seek another International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout. Instead, Khan focused on debt and said former central bank governor Ishrat Husain would lead a taskforce to drive austerity. The first meeting with Secretary Pompeo is going to be crucial IMO !
Criticising what he called the colonial-era mindset and lavish lifestyles of Pakistan’s ruling elite, Khan announced he would live in a small three-bedroom house instead of the palatial prime minister’s residence. Khan plans to have only two servants instead of 524 reserved for a sitting premier. He also announced plans to sell a fleet of bulletproof vehicles to help Treasury shortfalls, a bold move in a country where Islamist militants still pose a threat. “I want to tell my people, I will live a simple life, I will save your money,” he said.
Again, good sentiments no doubt, but this cannot be achieved overnite. Secondly the simplicity has to be implemented across the board including in his own party MNA's and the high level Paki civilian and military bureaucracy . It will be hard task indeed !
Khan appealed to overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country and urged the wealthy to start paying taxes, a perennial problem in a nation famous for tax dodging and where less than 1% of the population pays income tax. “It is your responsibility to pay taxes,” said Khan. “Think of this as a jihad, that you need to pay tax for the betterment of your country.”
Again, good sentiments, but hard to implement overnite. Let us see, if he is able to make the Aam Abduls and the Elites change their way of thinking !
Khan said Pakistan was in grave danger from the effects of climate change and promised to reduce some of the world’s highest maternal death rates and infant mortality rates. He also spoke passionately about the need to help 22.8 million out-of-school children in a nation where the literacy rate hovers above 40%.Khan, who has never held a government position, named his 21-person cabinet over the weekend, opting mostly for experienced politicians.
Many of his cabinet is composed of Mush Era politicos who have their own baggage !
Opponents criticised the choices, saying about half of the cabinet had served under the former military dictator Pervez Musharraf and were part of the old guard. On Sunday, Khan announced he would oversee the interior ministry.
A former playboy of the London social scene who has since adopted a pious persona, Khan said he wanted Pakistan to build a welfare state akin to some found in the west, which he said were modelled on the ideas first voiced by Prophet Muhammad in the holy city of Medina.“I will spend money on those who God has not given enough to,” he said.
In Pakistan, "everything" starts and ends with Malsi ! Imran is a late comer to "religion"

Imran's Claim Of "Ganja's Lavish Lifestyle Challenged !
‘Nawaz paid all expenses incurred on family at PM House’
The News International
August 20, 2018
ISLAMABAD: Since Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to use the palace-like PM House for public welfare because of the heavy expenses incurred on the national kitty, several politicians have come forward detailing where they used to live while in power.
One such example was revealed by the ex-finance minister Miftah Ismail about Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who stayed in his own house in Islamabad and never moved to the 11,00-kanal official residence, which has 524 employees.Similarly, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is also known to have stayed at his personal residence in Karachi and only using the CM House for official meetings.
In Paki politics, the game of "follow the leader" is very popular
While PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif is blamed for having an extravagant lifestyle, PM Imran Khan was surprised to know that the former premier paid all the expenses on his family at the PM house from his own pocket. This was shared by Geo News anchorperson Saleem Safi last night during analysis on Khan’s maiden speech.‘PM Khan asked the PM Office staff about expenditures incurred by Nawaz Sharif in his tenure as PM. The officials told the new PM that Sharif did all the expenditures from his pocket and never used taxpayers’ money, the anchorperson told Geo News.
‘He (Imran Khan) didn't believe till he was shown invoices confirming the PML-N supremo never used public money as PM.’
Talk is cheap; was he personally there, when this was being discussed :D
Leader of the Opposition in Senate, Sherry Rehman on Monday tweeted: “I had four federal ministries, never moved to minister colony but stayed in my own tiny house in Islamabad.”. It is to be seen how much the PTI remains successful in implementing the austerity measures it has announced in its manifesto.
The Khan himself may "practice" austerity to set up personal example, but how is he going to implement this on a national scale . And what measures will he take to stop the abuse of govt funds. Will he take action against fauji violators as well

Dear Professor Nadine,

I am a 23-year-old girl. My problem is that I am in love with my best friend's husband. I am engaged to my cousin and my wedding date was set only last month, but how can I marry my cousin when I love H? I saw H for the first time at his wedding with my college friend, R. For me, it was love at first sight. I think of H all the time; he is good looking, smart, well-spoken and well-groomed. I am a lot better looking than R, and my fiance is just an ordinary looking guy. I don't know what R has that I lack; H seems to be in love with her, and treats me like a younger sister. I have tried to impress him with my beauty, but he has not given any sign that he finds me attractive. R, I think, has become suspicious of me. She does not invite me to her house anymore and is cold towards me when I go to meet her. Should I tell H how I feel and leave the decision on him? Kindly suggest a way for me to get out of this coil.

Reason For Keeping Interior Ministry For Himself : Imran To Personally Take Charge Of Corruption And Money Laundering That Is Rampart In Pakiland !

Why PM Imran Khan has kept interior ministry portfolio with him?
*ISLAMABAD - Why Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to keep Interior Ministry portfolio with him?*
*Khan wanted to directly monitor the performance of FIA and money laundering operations after he announced crackdown on the corrupt people across the country. *While addressing the nation yesterday (August 19), Khan said ‘he has retained the interior ministry portfolio for himself as he personally oversees steps against money laundering and graft.’
Randi-baaz Rashid's dream portfolio "taken away from him"
The PM said he held the Ministry of Interior with himself, while the Federal Investigation Agency would also work under his supervision among other institutions. He said the newly-elected government would make sure that criminal cases were solved maximum in one year. Stressing swift justice especially for widows, he said the widows were the most affected of poor judiciary system.
So, with Jalebi ( Human Rights Min ) on his side, Imran should be able to "solve" the issue of missing persons, unless the Deep State puts some hurdles in his way
Khan addressed the nation for more than an hour, repeating many of his campaign pledges to build an Islamic welfare state but also touching on issues rarely mentioned by Pakistani prime ministers such as fighting child sex abuse and climate change. The former cricketer also announced an austerity drive to trim back the trappings of government, such as selling most of the vehicles allotted to the prime minister, cutting down on staff and turning the official residence into a university.
“I will fight the corrupt. Either this country will survive or the corrupt people,” he said. The most pressing is a looming balance-of-payments crisis, with analysts predicting Pakistan will have to go to the International Monetary Fund for a bailout. Which is "controlled" by US !

One More Confirmation That In Pakistan It Is "Extremely Difficult" To Know Who Is Lying And Who Is Telling The Truth !

Former PM Nawaz Sharif caught lying to the nation yet again
Aug 20, 2018
ISLAMABAD - Deposed Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was caught lying to the nation yet again.
He on Monday said that he used to pay the daily expenses of the PM House from his own pocket. However the federal budget and the government expenditure reciepts for the last five years show otherwise.
The incarcerated Sharif appeared before the accountability court for the hearing of the Al Azizia and Flagship corruption references. Speaking to the media, Sharif said that he paid the day-today expense of the PM house from his own pocket and had the cheques as proof, local media reported.
Is Sharif lying? Is Imran lying? Who knows !!!
Sharif was referring to PM Imran Khan’s speech on Sunday in which he had listed down the expenses of the PM house during Sharif’s tenure. In his address PM Khan had revealed that the PM house has 524 servants and 80 cars, 33 bulletproof cars.
I would venture and say that the whole "accursed" country has a problem with the Truth !

Pakistanis Launch Social Media Campaign to Support Turkish Lira
Similar to Pakistan, Turkey is facing an economic crisis as well. The country’s currency is rapidly deteriorating in value against the US dollar as the country continues its diplomatic spat with the US.
Imran Khan, the Prime Minister-elect, recently supported turkey’s stance against USA via a tweet. Turkey is facing an economic crisis due to the recent US sanctions and considering Trump’s foreign policy it seems that this might go on for a long time.Pakistani public has also shown their support for Turkey, social media users in Pakistan have launched a campaign where they are calling all the Pakistanis to buy Turkish products and their currency – Lira.Pakistani Twitterati are encouraging their countrymen to support Turks in their time of need since they are fighting sanctions imposed by the USA.
-And Oordu language of Pakiland, has Turkish roots
- And Turkee stands "steadfast" with Pakiland against India
- And Mush is a "Big Fan" Of Atta Turk

Details Of An MI-6 Spy Insider In OBL And KSM's Al-Qaeda

Nine Lives: My Time as MI6’s Top Spy Inside Al-Qaida – review
Jason Burke
The Observer
Aug 19, 2018
When the Taliban regime in Afghanistan collapsed in November 2001, journalists who had been waiting in parts of the country outside the Islamist regime’s authority or in neighbouring Pakistan rushed to bombed-out and deserted training camps where al-Qaida had built the strike force that had carried out the 9/11 attacks.
I was in the eastern city of Jalalabad as opposition forces still skirmished with al-Qaida remnants on the evening of the city’s fall. After a night in the one functioning hotel, I drove a few miles down the rutted road to Kabul. On several reporting trips into Afghanistan under the Taliban I had heard of a training camp near a reservoir called Darunta, a mile off the main road. It wasn’t hard to reach: a complex of mud huts and barracks down a short road.
Darunta plays a key role in the extraordinary story told in Nine Lives. It is rare that western secret services place an agent within an organisation such as al-Qaida. It is rarer still that the identity of that agent becomes known. It is unprecedented that any such individual publishes a detailed memoir of more than a decade of his activity at very nearly the highest possible levels of Islamist militancy.
Aimen Dean – not, inevitably, his real name – tells the story well. He has been ably assisted by Paul Cruickshank, a US-based researcher and journalist who has both a deep knowledge of the subject and the ability to transform the raw material of an agent’s memories into something digestible to the general public. (The other contributor, Tim Lister, is a CNN reporter with long experience in the topic.)
Nine Lives works on many levels: as a human story of faith, violence, trauma and eventually a form of redemption, a deep dive into the inner workings of one of the most infamous terrorist organisations of all time and as a short history of the threat that we still face. Dean recounts his early life in Saudi Arabia, and how he is drawn into a religious study group that appears innocent but goes on to produce a large number of high-level militants. By 1994, still a teenager, he is in Bosnia, fighting with committed Muslims alongside Croats. He is involved in battles and atrocities. These mark him permanently but reinforce his commitment to the struggle to defend the Ummah, the global community of Muslims, against the supposed aggression of the west and its local allies within the Islamic world. He travels to Afghanistan, and to Darunta, where he becomes involved in the attempted manufacture of chemical and biological weapons. He also joins al-Qaida, and is interviewed by Osama bin Laden himself.
Bin Laden is far from the only top-level militant Dean meets. every major figure active in Islamic militancy in this period – from preachers in the UK through to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who planned the 9/11 strikes, and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who went on to found and lead al-Qaida in Iraq – feature in the narrative. These are amazing “up-close and personal” portraits of leading figures whose thinking and actions are essential for understanding how Islamic militancy evolved as it did. Particularly significant is the importance of eschatological prophesies to jihadists. For a long time, often well-educated al-Qaida higher command have been thought to have despised such apocalyptic thinking. In fact, Dean points out, the belief that they could hurry the coming of the end times was central to their worldview and strategy.
Yet Dean’s involvement in the manufacture of gas bombs – tested on hundreds of rabbits – worries him. Should such weapons be used on civilians? Is jihad justified at all? Eventually his commitment to the cause wavers. He ends up detained in Bahrain, then passed to Britain’s MI6, who run him as an agent for several years, sending him back to Afghanistan and Darunta. It is an astonishing revelation to learn that the UK had an agent close to the top of al-Qaida, and working in such a sensitive place.
Dean’s accounts of this double life – both before and after 9/11 – offer a fascinating glimpse into the reality of spying. A lot of this is mundane, involving innumerable debriefings in bland hotel bedrooms, but much is gripping. Plots are uncovered. Secret communications are sent. But above all it is the human story that captivates. Dean ends up spying on his own family, and is only reluctantly forced to give up his espionage after White House sources blow his cover in leaks to a journalist.
These Jihadi camps in Afghanistan served a dual purpose . They were of course training camps for Jihadi fighters to "fight the west" and also as a training camp to train "Mujaheedeen" for fighting in Kashmir. The men and material were supplied by the Paki ISI . That that time, Taliban Govt was friendly with the Paki Govt . To say that the Paki Deep State was not aware of the 9/11 disaster is laughable, IMO !. Omar Saeed Shaikh, currently in a Paki jail was the blue eyed boy of OBL, at that time !!!

Pakistan's Desperation For Talks With India, Shows In Qureshi-s Statement :D

India yet to make dialogue offer to Pakistan
August 20, 2018
Pakistan Today
ISLAMABAD: India is yet to decide whether to reconcile with Pakistan in the presence of the newly-elected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in contrary to the remarks of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who said Indian Prime Minister Narendar Modi called for dialogue in a letter to Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan.
In his first news conference after taking oath as minister for foreign affairs on Monday, Qureshi said, “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to PM Imran Khan in which he indicated the beginning of talks between the two countries,”
“India and Pakistan have to move forward keeping realities before them,” he asserted. The foreign minister stressed, “There is a need for continued and uninterrupted dialogue with India.”
Qureshi also directly addressed his Indian counterpart, Sushma Swaraj, and said, “I want to tell the Indian foreign minister that we are not just neighbours; we are atomic powers. We have a lot of common resources. We have long-standing issues, both of us know these problems. But we have no other option but to engage in dialogue. We cannot afford adventurism.”
It is "very important" to remind India, ( as also the Muslim Ummah and The World ) that Pakistan is an atomi takat ( no matter it is swimming in debt upto its neck , most social sectors functions are outsourced to kufr western ngo's etc etc )
“These issues are complicated and we may face hurdles in resolving them, but we must engage. We will have to admit that we are facing problems, we must admit that Kashmir is a reality. The Islamabad declaration is a part of our history,” he added. “We may have a different approach and line of thinking, but I want to see a change in how we behave,” the newly-appointed foreign minister said. :((
Contradicting Qureshi’s remarks, India said their Modi wrote a ‘congratulatory letter’ to Imran Khan, but it doesn’t mention a call for ‘dialogue’.According to Indian media reports that quoted ‘credible government sources’, Modi didn’t express his wish for dialogues in letter to Pakistan PM, but it did mention ‘India is committed to peaceful ties.’The Indian media reports stressed that PM Modi didn’t push for a dialogue between the two countries.Modi’s letter as shared by TimesNow states, “Polls and the smooth transition strengthen belief in democracy.” It adds that Modi said shared belief will bring peace and prosperity in the subcontinent and make it free from terrorism and violence. It further quotes Indian PM Modi as saying “we have a commitment to build good neighbourly relations” and “pursue meaningful and constructive engagement for the benefit of people in the region.”“The contents of the letter are what is usually written in a congratulatory letter. This is in contradiction to the claims made by the Pakistan Foreign Minister,” the report said.
India's stance has been consistent , IMO. Talks cannot be held, unless all sorts of terrorism is stopped, including cross border infiltration and sponsors of Mumbai Attack are punished !
Foreign Office clarified such media reports, saying Foreign Minister Qureshi never stated ” Indian Prime Minister made an offer of a dialogue.”
In a clarification, the Foreign Office spokesman, in response to a query regarding the controversy being floated by sections of the Indian media, the spokesperson stressed that the FM had not stated that “the Indian Prime Minister had made an offer of a dialogue”, but had said that the Indian premier in his letter to PM Imran Khan had also mentioned something similar to what the foreign minister elucidated earlier – that the way forward was only through constructive engagement.
The H&D Factor all over again !

Imran Khan Moves In To Military Secretary's Home, Cuts Down On Perks
Islamabad: Pakistan's new Prime Minister Imran Khan today moved into a modest three-bed room house of his military secretary along with two servants, a day after announcing that he would not be staying in the sprawling PM House which has a staff of 524, keeping his pledge to cut down the expenditure of the cash-strapped government.Imran Khan, announcing a series of austerity measures to cut down the expenditure during his maiden address to the nation late last night, said that he wanted to live in his own house in Banigala "but was told by security agencies that my life was under threat which is why I am living here".Mr Khan today moved to the official residence of the military secretary which he has announced to use as the PM House, Geo News reported.
In this way, the Deep State can keep an eye on him . The place is probably bugged !

David Headley Half Brother Comes And Goes Unnoticed !

How Terrorist David Headley's Half-Brother Attended Vajpayee Funeral
NDTV
Aug 20, 2018
New Delhi: Visas for the Pakistani delegation that came to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Delhi last week, were rushed through as a friendly gesture, intelligence officials have told NDTV. In the next 24 hours, Danyal Gilani -- brother of 26/11 Mumbai attack accused David Coleman Headley -- reached Delhi and attended not only the funeral, but also a meeting with foreign minister Sushma Swaraj. The matter was noticed only after Danyal Gilani, a bureaucrat in the Pakistan government, tweeted about it. His tweet about the meeting with Ms Swaraj contained a video that showed Pakistani delegation meeting Indian officials.
Danyal Gilani, officials in the foreign ministry said, had also visited India as a part of the Pakistan delegation invited during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath ceremony - as it appears, without anyone being wiser about his identity.Mr Vajpayee had died last week on Thursday -- his funeral was held the next evening. Given the time crunch, Pakistan had handed over the names and as a friendly gesture, India had given out the visas at its embassy in Islamabad, sources said.Government officials have pointed out that if Pakistan chooses to send Danyal Gilani as part of any delegation, India cannot object as he has not been declared a persona non grata in India and is not blacklisted. He has a clean record and no ties with his half-brother, officials said.
What has caught the government on the wrong foot is that Danyal Gilani came and left without anyone realizing that he is related to David Headley, the Pakistani-American terrorist jailed in the US over his role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror strike.
Arrested in 2009, David Headley had recceed various Indian cities before the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. He had testified before a court in Mumbai through video conferencing from his prison in the US during the trial of Mumbai attacks mastermind Abu Jundal.
So the choice of Danyal Gilani has raised eyebrows in India, which repeatedly called out Pakistan on various world forums over its military establishment's support to terrorists.
Pakistan's new Prime Minister, cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan, has however, said that wanted peace with India and was ready "take two steps if India took one".
Cannot rule out some sort of Paki provocation in including him in the delegation !

There is a very specific signalling that has been sent by the paki army.

I wonder what our intelligence folks were doing in all this or like AS Dulat were they busy wining and dining their dear paki friends in the cosy comfort of their homes??

This is the second time that this gent has come and gone with none being the wiser.

Or, is the pull of the perks of the track thoo circuit so powerful that concerned people have kept quiet??

Pakistani Diplomats Threaten Journalists … in Canada!".
Tahir Gora
August 20, 2018
Pakistani diplomats and Canadian MPs of Pakistani origin are threatening journalists they deem objectionable in Canada. They are also wielding their influence over Canadian politics on all levels.Recently, the Pakistan High Commission Office in Ottawa attacked MP Maxime Bernier over his tweet:
“Canada under extreme Liberal multiculturalism: While a statue of our country’s founder is being removed in one city, a park was recently named after Pakistan’s founder in another, in the presence of M103 Liberal MP sponsor. Pakistan independence from India led to 1M deaths.”In response, Pakistan High Commission Office circulated an email criticizing Bernier for “targeting diversity, multiculturalism & [MP] Iqra Khalid.”
Senator Salma Ataullahjan also joined in the criticism of Bernier, “As a caucus colleague and a proud Pakistani-Canadian parliamentarian, I’m incredibly disappointed with this tweet. This kind of rhetoric creates division. Is that your aim? If so, what is your end game with this sort of identity politics?” Ataullahjan’s tweet not only served to defend the Pakistan High Commission’s point of view, it also revealed her own place in identity politics. When I saw her recently, she expressed her virulent anger at me about my tweet in which I criticized her (along with all the Canadian parliamentarians of Pakistani origin) for not criticizing Pakistan for siding with Saudi Arabia over Canada in the recent Saudi-Canada row regarding human rights
“I am Canadian and I stand by Canada,” she told me.“But madam, it’s not enough,” I countered. “As a Canadian senator you must denounce Pakistan and Saudi Arabia both, but unfortunately you are celebrating Pakistan day with Pakistani diplomats.”MP Iqra Khalid threatened and harassed me and the TAG TV reporter on several occasions. She asked some Pakistani event organizers not invite us to their events. Is that how a Canadian member parliamentarian should behave with a Canadian citizen, not to mention the media? However, this is nothing new. MPs Iqra Khalid, Salma Zahid and Omar Alghabra have all threatened and harassed me and my wife publicly in the past.
Even though I wrote an open letter to PM Justin Trudeau and emailed to it almost all Canadian parliamentarians detailing this harassment, I have never been contacted by any government office about these threats.Since then, many hardships have been imposed upon me by Pakistani diplomats in Canada as well as by the above-mentioned parliamentarians. At one point, due to the severity of the threats, I thought about seeking asylum in the United States, but my challenging nature always encouraged me to continue my struggle here.
ust recently, I received another chilling threat from Pakistan’s consul general to Toronto, Mr. Imran Siddiqui, who threatened to “fix” me as well as fellow journalist Tarek Fatah and the TAG TV team.Unfortunately, this was the first time in my 19 years in Canada that I started feeling that no government institution would save me and my freedom of expression from intervention by a foreign government and its sponsored Canadian parliamentarians.
Now, I seek answers from the Canadian government and law enforcement agencies. As a Canadian citizen and journalist, am I an open target of Pakistani diplomats’ threats and intimidations? Also, at the height of the identity politics game in Canada, how can Canadian parliamentarians of Pakistani origin work hand in hand with a foreign government to hurt Canadian citizens?Yet, I remain hopeful that mainstream Canadian media, politicians and law enforcement agencies will pay attention to my appeal in order to protecting Canadian citizens and their freedom of expression from foreign governments in Canada.
Tahir Gora and Tarek Fateh are two prominent Canadian Journalists of Pakistani origins who criticize the Paki Govt for its human rights and other policies on TV and in print media . This has not gone well with the Pakistani community and the Paki origin MPs and Senators !!!

Exactly what Canada needs, a lesson in diversity and multiculturalism from Pakistan. Or any other Islamic country.

Pakis don’t do irony well at all.

Najam Sethi resigns as PCB chairman

Najam Sethi on Monday announced his resignation from the post of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman in a tweet.

Sethi, who is also head the lucrative Pakistan Super League (PSL), said in the tweet that he was waiting for the new Prime Minister, PTI chairman Imran Khan, to take the oath.

In his resignation, attached as a photo in his tweet, Sethi said he was elected unanimously “by all ten members of the Board of Governors for a three-year term ending in 2020”.

He added: “I believed I have served the cause of cricket diligently.”

Furthermore, he threw the ball in Imran Khan’s court by saying: “You have said on many occassions that you have a vision for Pakistan cricket. Therefore, it is only proper that you should assume charge and responsibility for assembling a management team for PCB that enjoys your full confidence and trust.”

Sethi concluded with the words, “In order to facilitate your objectives in the interest of Pakistan cricket, I hereby submit my resignation as chairman of PCB and member of its BoG.”

In March 2016 we gave the man below, Sheikh Rasheed - who used to run a Jihadi camp to train anti India terrorists - a visa to come and watch the cricket. Something is clearly wrong when it comes to the decision making process for such things.
