Karl Marx is correct in saying that religion is the opium of the masses ! It is proved over and over again - in Pakiland !Imran Khan has promised to deliver to his citizens a Naya Pakistan based on Medina, a city founded by Prophet Muhammad in the 7th Century. Cynically manipulating the sense of prevailing deprivation and inequality, Khan offered them a grand mirage by locating the country in the golden era of a perfect Islamic society.
Islamic welfare State !In his victory speech, he referred to the humanitarian and egalitarian grounds on which Medina was built and the rights given to the downtrodden, the widows, the orphans in the city.
The current Peerni is "deadly against" the UnIslamic animal !Khan invoked the traditional Islamic Hadith about the Khalifa Hazrat Umar (one of the most powerful caliphs) who had said he could not sleep easy at night even if a dog went hungry in his administered state. I immediately thought of Imran Khan’s own poor dog, who he is said to have almost run over and not given a toss about while driving home with his second wife Reham Khan.
Invoking Islam is a sure ticket to success in Pakistan !Of course, the responsibility of a hungry dog was also invoked by Gen Zia ul-Haq in his post-coup speech.
I also thought of the donkey his supporters painted Nawaz Sharif’s name on and tortured to death – and the lack of any statement from Imran Khan over the inhuman and cruel treatment of a helpless animal in a vile and puerile game of political scoring. Such is his detachment in reality from the notions of a kind society that he did not even think to condemn supporters of his arch-rival and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif when they shot a dog after painting Imran Khan’s name over its body.
If this is to be believed , Imran is "power hungry" just like any other politico !Setting aside donkeys and dogs, Khan has never raised a voice for human rights activists and journalists abducted and tortured for dissenting against or criticising his patrons’ political meddling. He has not stammered out a defence once for the Pakistani media, which is in fetters because it is instructed to censor speeches and events of his opponents and protect Khan and his party. Khan has implicitly encouraged attacks, abuse and threats against his detractors on social media by never condemning them and he has encouraged vigilante violence on his opponents by accusing them time and again of blasphemy.
Khan speaks of Medina as a utopia, a heaven for human rights and an egalitarian society that he wants to replicate in Pakistan. If his records on these issues in the recent past are any indication of his future conduct, one shudders to think of the Medina he will create.
Politics as usual is the name of the game !Khan also made an abrupt reference to China’s success in alleviating poverty, rather incongruously, while talking about his mirage of an Islamic welfare state. He mentioned ‘rule of law’ and ‘equal before the law’, but he has trampled upon it and climbed on the shoulders of those not considered ‘equal before the law’ to reach the top.It is ironical that this ‘rule of law’ and ‘equality before the law’ exonerated Imran Khan and his cronies. No matter how many offshore companies, undisclosed properties or bank accounts, fake no-objection-certificates or affidavits, perjury in court, undisclosed offspring in election nomination forms, the ‘rule of law’ smiled upon Imran Khan and his party. Conversely, it frowned upon opponents for supposed misdemeanours 30 years ago, or it simply arrested his opponents to prevent them from contesting elections before charges were framed against them.
Khan has climbed the rubble of the Pakistani constitution, law, institutions, and democracy created by military gunships and tanks to reach the top of a pile of a sorry mess to croon of a Medina to a divided country. His die-hard fans refuse to acknowledge or reconcile the unforgivably infinite contradictions about the man and his less-than-holy rise – in an era where he could have fought an honest battle.

Recently renowned author and most senior Torontonian journalist Tahir Gora felt isolated, threatened and profiled by none other than his own’s country Pakistan’s ‘ civil servant posted in Toronto as Consul General.
Imran Siddiqui who according to media reports got caught on tape threatening two of Canada’s most respected writers / opinion makers, Tarek Fatah and Tahir Gora, this stirred waves not only nation wide in the media fraternity but overseas made headlines in leading news outlets. The conversation apparently took place sometime in mid March 2018 between Imran Ahmed Siddiqui and unidentified caller and went viral on social media after the 14th August this year.
Imran Siddiqui during Pakistan Day celebration at the consulate office of at 7880 Keele Street Unit No. 14 , Vaughan Ontario, violated Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom by denying video coverage of the event to Dawood Jan a TAG TV news anchorman and poor myself.
Journlists have to cooperate, if they want to survive”, said Imran in the recorded audio, in his views he knows exactly how to deal with it as he is mentioning the ‘treatment’ that is being done slowly. In Urdu ‘Ilaaj’ is being done and we are working on it. “![]()
‘Illaj’ meaning Treatment in English, so folks there’s a disease outbreak here in Canada that is called FREE SPEECH and a cure is being invented by this genius Pakistani Diplomat.![]()
On Pakistan’s independence flag raising ceremony as usual I too was excited to attend and feel inclusive, unfortunately upon arrival my team was told to remove the microphone and stop covering as he (Imran Siddiqui) is not ‘pleased’ with our policy.
Siddiqui’s selective favoritism is well known in the local media community since his arrival but in recent days it has escalated to a radical point that certainly needs to stop right here right now.
Mr. Siddiqui or whoever is next in line, I alongwith Tarek Fatah, Tahir Gora, Haleema Saadia, Dawood Jan and our media team demand that you act accordingly as long as you are designated here on the land of True North Strong and FREE ! Remember this is Toronto Canada and not Jeddah /Riyadh or any other of your previous middle east posting where you were like a King and everyone in front of you was your servant, to your disappointment, its opposite here in a democratic society, and here we ask questions that you need to answer, so here it is “When would Pakistani Diplomats learn the diplomacy”?

Peregrine ji, from the above, “Integrated watershed management should be promoted,” says Rasheed, “including ecological conservation practices in uphill watersheds, by exploring the possibility of joint watershed management of trans-boundary catchment areas with neighbouring countries.
SSridhar Ji :That was why the yanking away of Pakistan was a disaster for that country (good riddance for us in the end). The transborder rivers and their catchment areas could not be divided up by Sir Cyril Radcliffe by drawing a pencil line across the map! In spite of great generosity from India, a truly 'moth-eaten Pakistan' could only hurtle towards a disaster and that speaks volumes for the absolutely poor judgement and tactical brilliance of Jinnah & Co, not to speak of the same by the British, especially the likes of Sir Olaf Caroe et al. Let's continue with and hasten our legitimate projects under the IWT. Yes, tactical brilliance was demonstrated by Jinnah, Iqbal, Raja of Mahmudabad, Liaqat Ali, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan et al and then lapped up as a great strategy by succeeding leaders.
Please do include the so-called Great Son of India i.e. J L Nehru who gave away a Part of Kashmir and then the Indus River Waters along with about £ 63 Million i.e. US$ 176.4 Milliom to Terroristan to BUY 19.8 PER CENT OF THE INDUS RIVER WATERS. In 1964 - 1965 - Gold was US$ 36.50 per Troy Ounce IOW Nehru paid Terroristan 4,972,92817679 TROY OUNCES. This Gold at today's Price of US$ $1,205.97 per Troy Ounce equates to US$ 5,876.50519336 BILLION. This amount was PAID BY INDIA TO GET ITS SHARE OF BEING THE UPPER RIPARIAN STATE! Disgusting to say the least!

Thus, the Perfidy of Sir Olaf Caroe et al along with Jinnah, Iqbal, Raja of Mahmudabad, Liaqat Ali, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan et al pales into insignificance when compared to J L Nehru’s so called PATRIOTISM TO HIS MOTHERLAND "INDIA"!
BTW : Did Nehru get the IWT agreed by the Indian Parliament?
My Apologies for the Size of Fonts and Colours!

Retrieving stolen money
Dr Ikram ul Haq
Aug 25, 2018
Debate about the retrieval of stolen, plundered, untaxed assets stashed abroad by Pakistanis has elicited heated arguments and bitter controversies. It gained more attention after the newly-formed Cabinet, in its maiden meeting chaired by the Premier, Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, ordered a task force to look into the matter. The controversies relate to figures quoted by official and unofficial quarters and application of various laws, procedures and methods for retrieving funds. The Supreme Court also took suo motu action on February 1, 2018 on assets stashed abroad, a matter that is still pending.
Coming to figure of $200 billion in Swiss accounts, this was officially communicated to the Cabinet through a summary signed on August 26, 2013 by Tariq Bajwa, the then chairman FBR and now Governor SBP. It was contested by many, including some members of the Parliament, but the then finance minister, Ishaq Dar stood by it! However many have claimed that this figure was not based on any reliable sources. Furthermore the the myth of $200 billion still persists — as the latest report by Zahid Gishkori reiterates it!
In a hearing before the Senate Standing Committee on Finance on January 9, 2018, the spokesman of FBR said that “information about old cases cannot be obtained” under the revised convention “but we will try our level best to get past information, specifically bank account details of Pakistani holdings in Swiss banks”. The FBR’s spokesman told the Senate: “We have requested the Swiss government to include the names of Pakistanis in the list of countries for exchange of information, which has been endorsed by the Swiss Parliament.” He however did not inform the Senate Committee that Switzerland had yet not ratified the revised treaty inked on March 21, 2017 which resulted in the delay of exchange of information. The task force must question those officers from 2014 who played a part in frustrating the revised treaty, and neglected the ratification of the latest treaty by Switzerland. Their criminal culpability causing huge revenue losses should not go unpunished.
It is not going to be easy. Switzerland's economy heavily depends on monies illegally siphoned into the safe vault of Swiss Banks . Secrecy and confidentiality of such accounts is a given !The expert selected by the new government, who has been working with National Accountability Bureau, has no idea about retrieving funds from abroad under bilateral or multilateral tax treaties signed by Pakistan.
Switzerland has returned US$ 2bn of illicit funds stashed in its banks by dictatorsThe way forward for the new task force is to utilise OECD’s ‘Multilateral Instrument’ for retrieving evaded taxes vis-à-vis assets stashed abroad. In order to retrieve money by public office holders, procedure under United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) can be adopted.

Imran Khan has been elected as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan. He has inspired regular Pakistanis everywhere, and as an Ahmadi of Pakistani origin, ( safely ensconced in Australia !) I welcome his government and expect improved progress within the nation during his tenure. He has appointed his cabinet and Dr Shireen Mazari has been given the portfolio of the Human Rights ministry.
I urge Dr Mazari to visit Rabwah and meet the Ahmadi leadership and members of the Ahmadi community to understand the issues facing them today. There are many members who migrated from other parts of the country for refuge, after facing persecution.
The oppression against Ahmadis is not an imaginative phenomenon. The hateful incitements by the religious clergy and the anti-Ahmadi laws create an atmosphere of coercion against the community. Society has been radicalised in the past four decades, and hate speech against Ahmadis is growing by every passing day, with many using it for political leverage or influence. This environment has a very serious impact on the day to day lives of Ahmadis in Pakistan, who are more often than not, just trying to live out their lives in peace.
These hateful incitements rile up sections of society who take the law in to their own hands and resort to vigilante justice. As Pakistanis everywhere celebrated Eid ul Azha, Ahmadis were barred from sacrificing animals on the pretext of violating Pakistan Penal Code 298 B and 298 C.
There is a long list of cases, punishments, jail terms, murders and migrations from Pakistan due to these laws. I urge Dr Mazari to reconsider this law and persuade her colleagues and the Prime Minister to repeal it. I believe the good will garnered by the Prime Minister can create a momentum for positive change. I hope the PTI government will pay heed and the desire for a just society will enable such debate.
The Mullahs of Pakiland will be up in arms if any leniency is shown to the Ahmedis by Imran Khan !Ahmadis as individuals and as a community have a lot to offer this nation due to their loyalty, commitment, higher literacy rate and collective pursuit of professional education. It will be Pakistan’s gain to re-think the hateful religiosity and rather engage in quest for a fairer society for all sections of the nation.

Late last month, the United States penalized three Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists and terror financiers as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT) in a move that challenged Pakistan’s professed earnestness in its fight against terrorism. With the objective of restricting the financing and fundraising of the LeT, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated two of the group’s financial facilitators, Hameed ul Hassan (Hassan) and Abdul Jabbar (Jabbar), as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) in accordance with Executive Order (E.O.) 13224.
The two individuals were accused of working with or on behalf of the LeT. Sigal Mandelker, undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said that these “financial facilitators” were responsible for “collecting, transporting and distributing funds to support this terrorist group and provide salaries to extremists.”The consequences are not insignificant. This action prohibits any US citizens from conducting any transactions with them, in addition to blocking the property and assets in the name of the two individuals within the United States. In addition to blocking the LeT’s financial assets and network, it will seriously impair their capacity to raise funds for their activities. The individuals in question are also notable. According to the U.S. Treasury Department notification, Hassan has been a financial facilitator for LeT, having worked earlier with Falah-e Insaniat Foundation, an alias of LeT, to send funds to Syria in late 2016. The notification provides additional background information too: Earlier in 2016, Hassan worked with his brother, Muhammad Ijaz Safarash and Khalid Walid to send funds to Pakistan on behalf of LeT. Safarash and Walid were earlier designated as SDGTs for their links with LeT in March 2016 and September 2012 respectively.
Of course, the U.S. move has been welcomed by the Indian establishment. The MEA spokesperson in his press briefing said, “India welcomes the announcements… The announcement vindicates India’s consistent stand that internationally designated terrorist groups and Individuals, including LeT and it’s front, Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation [FIF], continue to operate from and raise financial resources with impunity in Pakistan, and use territories under its control for carrying out cross-border terrorism in India and elsewhere in South Asia.” Clearly, New Delhi is pleased.
On the other hand, both the LeT and Jamat-ud Dawah have been under both U.S. and UN terrorist group categorization for some time. The U.S. designation is the only the latest in a long string of Indian diplomatic victories...
There are questions about the utility of this diplomatic strategy. Pakistan has shown little indication that its policies will be dictated by fear of international diplomatic response. Thus, India is facing a situation today where it has substantial diplomatic success in its fight against terror, but with little real benefit in terms of any reduction in the threat it faces. Facing up to this reality is also challenging because it requires New Delhi to consider harder options that it has little appetite for.

Pakis are "upset" with Twitter as Twitter operations in Pakiland fall under Twitter India . And India is of course, a "dushman" nationBaloch users of Twitter face ‘clampdown’ as many accounts of Baloch activists, leaders and organisations have been partially restricted or fully suspended.Twitter took the action against many accounts, including some famous handles, on Thursday night causing uproar among other Baloch tweeps.
The clampdown comes only days after Pakistan’s telecom authority threatened to ban Twitter altogether in Pakistan if it does not comply with the directives to block objectionable content.

No details of the objectionable content were provided when the ‘final warning’ to Twitter was given. However, it now appears Pakistan was referring to Baloch users active on Twitter. The Balochistan Post (TBP) has learnt that many Baloch accounts were also given warnings or had to recover their accounts after following a process to provide additional security details and phone numbers in last few days.
Scores of journalists have been killed or gone missing in Balochistan since early 2000s. According to Amnesty International (AI) more than a dozen journalists have been killed in Balochistan for doing their jobs since 2008. AI also considers the province as the hardest place in the country for human rights researchers to operate.Since early 2011, scores of Baloch journalists, activists and organisations have been using Twitter to report freely about current situation in Balochistan. Many of the activists use pseudo names to hide their identity due to security concerns.
Some of the famous accounts that were suspended or partially restricted include but are not limited to the following:...

Too much is riding on Immy's election promises !Prime Minister Imran Khan in his first speech could have announced a nuclear war on Swaziland, Africa, or radical land reforms and it would not have mattered since his diehard supporters, and now his enthusiastic detractors, have a template where he can’t do anything wrong or right depending on one’s leaning. A couple of hours after the speech we would have been back to how many pakoras were served by previous regimes at press conferences.
In order to gain cheap popularity Imran often used gutter language to demean his political opponents , when in opposition !Prime Minister Khan spoke to a deeply divided nation where politics is no longer a difference of opinion but an indication of a person’s moral worth. Opposition leader Khan has been the worst offender in bringing us here, however, many others have contributed; one example of how successful and pervasive Khan’s influence has been on political language and idiom is that his most fierce opponents (youthful PML-N cadres) now often speak the same language of accusation, ridicule and abuse.
Mr Khan has made three speeches now and they highlight a pattern and a struggle between being a reformist statesman and an angry populist. The acceptance speech, while being high on rhetoric, was still measured, outlined some vision and was conciliatory. The National Assembly speech was of an opposition leader vengefully shadowboxing a past, non-existent government.
The high point of the first address to the nation was his desire for social reform and he spoke about stunted growth, infant mortality, malnutrition, out of school children, child abuse, civil service and police reforms and functional local government institutions.
Khan did not speak about the persecution of religious minorities, blasphemy law or expressed the general ambition for a tolerant polity. A brief glance at the Pakistan cyberspace will disabuse anyone of the notion that education and technology alone can instill tolerance and inclusion.
Along with the usual supporters, there is also a new cadre of “optimists” who suddenly see new virtues in Mr Khan’s every syllable. On the other end of the spectrum are those who would want him to fail so bad that at times it seems that they are rooting for the collapse of Pakistan’s economy.
Most want him to succeed and wish for hope, however that success can only happen if there is hope for Pakistan’s religious minorities, women, marginalized ethnicities, agricultural and industrial workforce and many other groups left behind on the “development” agenda.

Taking its partnership with China a notch further, Pakistan is reportedly building a city to house half a million Chinese nationals at a cost of $150 million in port city of Gwadar. The planned city is a part of ambitious China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which aims to improve connectivity between the two countries.
Recent media reports have seen Pakis attacking Chini nationals for a variety of reasons, including looking for Paki Ayeshas to satisfy their sexual hunger !According to a report in The Economic Times, only Chinese citizens will live in this gated zone, thereby paving way for China's colony within Pakistan. The proposed city will be a financial district that Beijing is planning to set up in the Pakistan's port city to house Chinese workforce.
There have been reports that the Chinese are building a Naval Base in Gawadar. !China-Pak Investment Corporation has bought the 3.6-million square foot International Port City and will build a gated community for the anticipated 5,00,000 Chinese professionals who will be located by 2022, the report said.
The CPEC is Pakistan's most important national project that aims to revive the country's sputtering economy. Both Islamabad and Beijing have worked together on this 'flagship' project under the ambitious Belt and Road initiative (BRI) to develop railway infrastructure, pipelines, highways and maritime links. This is part of China's larger plan to gain influence in the region. Over 20 CPEC projects worth over $27 billion are currently being implemented all across Pakistan. In the last fiscal, Pakistan managed to obtain roughly $10 billion dollars to service the foreign debt. The CPEC repayments will start from 2020, and by 2024 Islamabad will have to pay Beijing $4.5 billion annually. This, in addition to the $22 billion capital goods import required in next three years for completion of these projects.

This is something that the Pakis will find "hard to swallow"Recollecting the time he was RSS worker, Qamar said: “When I first tied rakhi to Narendra bhai, he was a karyakarta but with his sheer hard work and vision, he has become the PM,” she said.

Nuclear-armed Pakistan is embracing Cold War-foe Russia amid unraveling ties with Washington.
The Trump administration has penalized Islamabad for failing to rein in militants waging war on the U.S.-backed government in neighboring Afghanistan. American military aid to Pakistan was suspended earlier this year.
POTUS says " no more drinking at the expense of US Taxpayers " !Ali J. Siddiqui, Pakistan's ambassador to the U.S., last week confirmed to NBC News that the U.S. had also axed a long-standing military training program between the countries. Many of Pakistan’s top military commanders participated in the program, which also proved to be a useful back channel for American diplomats. A total of 66 Pakistani officers were due to be involved this year.
Russia "knows" Paki true nature. IMO, the litmus test is going to be Putin coming to Pakiland. Invitation is outstanding for at least 5 years now !Meanwhile, the Kremlin’s recent charm offensive has included the signing of a military cooperation pact, helicopter deliveries and officer training exercises. A Russian-language radio service, Dispatch News Desk, has also started broadcasting in Pakistan.
Shehzad Chaudhry, a retired Pakistani military air vice marshal and former diplomat, said "a new relationship is very much on the cards" between the former foes.“With the Russians and the Pakistanis, it’s a big strategic change," he added.
Russia also beat the U.S. in terms of congratulating Khan, with the country’s ambassador arriving at the prime minister-elect’s residence to give his regards in person.
“This is a mixture of timing, exhaustion of patience with Washington and a culmination of what began earlier with [Russian] training, military sales and intel sharing,” Alam said.
The blossoming of Pakistan-Russia relations has also partially been a response to the Trump administration’s increasing closeness with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in arch-rival India. India has traditionally been Russia’s main South Asian partner.
“With the Indians and the U.S. getting closer, the Russians have found space to break away ... and begin to exercise a little more freedom with countries like Pakistan,” said Chaudhry, the retired air marshal who previously served as Pakistani ambassador to Sri Lanka.
IMO, Pakistan will "sleep" with anyone, if the price is rightChaudhry believes the perceived U.S. retreat is creating space for other countries including China, Iran and Turkey to also gain influence in the region.

I think you did calculation some where wrong, according to my calculation the amount India gave to pakistan was US$ 5.8 billion and not 5876 billion. Though I agree the amount of 5.8 billion dollars is still large even in today's value and would have been much larger in 1960 when our per capita income was much lower.Peregrine wrote:Peregrine wrote:X Posted on the I W T Thread
Long Article, but, it is a keeper!Peregrine ji, from the above, “Integrated watershed management should be promoted,” says Rasheed, “including ecological conservation practices in uphill watersheds, by exploring the possibility of joint watershed management of trans-boundary catchment areas with neighbouring countries.SSridhar Ji :That was why the yanking away of Pakistan was a disaster for that country (good riddance for us in the end).
Disgusting to say the least!![]()

Rabbani concerned over FO’s ‘misinterpretations’
Dawn
Aug 26, 2018
KARACHI: Former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani has expressed concern that the Foreign Office got involved in two “serious questions of misinterpretation” pertaining to India and the United States.
“It is a matter of grave concern that in a week since assuming office, the Foreign Office of the new government has been involved in two serious questions of misinterpretation of a letter and conversation with the Indian Prime Minister and the US Secretary of State, respectively,” he said in a statement issued here on Saturday.
India has made it clear that talks can only start until terrorism stops ! Pakistan denies that it is "doing terrorism" against India !“It is unfortunate that the Indian government had to issue a clarification to the Foreign Office interpretation in terms of a dialogue with Pakistan,” said Mr Rabbani, also a leader of Pakistan Peoples Party. He said that eagerness of the new government of entering into a dialogue with India “does not auger well for the stated position of Pakistan that it is willing and ready to enter into such negotiations on all issues including Kashmir but cannot limit the agenda to terrorism alone”.
He said the controversy generated through the conversation of the US secretary of state was also uncalled for. “The US assertion to do more continues despite Pakistan’s sacrifices of human lives, economic and political instability. People and parliament have rejected this mantra.”Mr Rabbani said the statement of the foreign minister as reported in the national press on Saturday was also of concern, “wherein it is alleged that he has said, ‘We will have to understand their expectations and they would have to look at our requirements. It is not a one-way relationship’”. He said the words “expectations” and “our requirements” smelt of a master and servant or client state relationship with the US.
A lot of this has to do the Paki F.O. not being manned by competent diplomats and the fact being that Paki F.O is not fully in charge of this portfolio . Foreign Policy towards India and the US is dictated by the Deep State !“This is not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. This issue of Pakistan-US relationship will be raised in the upcoming session of Senate,” he said.

Journalists stand in solidarity with Saleem Safi over social media smear campaign
Daily Times
Aug 25, 2018
Renowned journalist Saleem Safi was subjected to criticism and abuse on social media after he claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had borne the expenses of PM house during his tenure from his own pocket.
The journalist then took to Twitter and posted pictures of Nawaz Sharif’s receipt photocopies of bills of different ceremonies.
PTI supporters have also attacked him for reporting Imran's and The Peerni's daily commute from Isloo to Bani Gala and vice versa by helicopter , which is contrary to the "austerity measures" being imposed by Imran's Naya Pakistan !His claims did not sit well with social media users, especially supports of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who slammed Safi over his ‘lies’.
To this end, several journalists also took to social media platforms to stand in solidarity with Safi and urged the users to respect ‘difference of opinion’.Journalists Asma Shirazi said that Safi was an honest and courageous journalist and that use of bad words against him can not be justified.

Senior officials of the Armed Forces exempted from this ruleIslamabad: The cabinet of newly-appointed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has imposed a ban on first-class air travel by the President, Chief Justice, Senate Chairman and the National Assembly speaker.

The move comes after the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government on Friday revised working hours in government institutions, abolished discretionary funds of the Prime Minister, federal ministers and members of the National Assembly, reports Dawn news.
Meanwhile, social media has reported that the Khan and his Peerni are using helis to commute back and forth from Isloo to Bani Gala . And Imran Khan has "ordered" a new bed for him as the one in the Military Secretary's house is not suitable !The decisions were taken during a second meeting of the cabinet in a week presided over by Khan. The meeting also decided to conduct an audit of all mega transport projects carried out in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces during the last government. It was decided that the Prime Minister would use the official aircraft only for domestic tours and not for foreign visits.
The meeting decided to abolish the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) and merge its departments into other ministries.Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had spent 51 billion Pakistani rupees (INR Rs 2915 crore) government funds only in one year by exercising his "discretionary powers", Dawn news reported.Similarly, President Mamnoon Hussain also distributed public money of 90 million Pakistani rupees on his own discretion.

Pakistan’s capability to pay back foreign loan could become weaker if the amount increases further, according to Moody’s Investors Service.
Moody’s said that Pakistan is facing elevated external pressures stemming from strong domestic demand and capital-import heavy investments related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Imran's austerity measures coupled with recovery of $ 200 Billion ( stolen monies !), and the discovery of huge oil and gas reserves will "solve" the liquidity and debt problem of PakistanThe credit rating agency said in a report released on Friday. Pakistan’s fiscal deficit is expected to reach 4.8 percent of the gross domestic product during the current fiscal year whereas depreciation of domestic currency will increase inflation and increase borrowing costs.

The rating agency elaborated that around one-third of Pakistan’s debt is denominated in foreign currencies, with the country’s gross borrowing requirement among the highest from those countries that are rated by Moody’s.

Thanks Peregrine Ji. I agree with you we shouldn't have paid any money to pakistan. Every drop of water that falls on Indian territory belongs to India and we should be under no obligation to provide that to any country. If natural resources like oil, gas, coal etc. are charged heavily by their providers, then why should water be provided free. We should ask pakistan to pay for the water we provide them, but for that to happen we have to first build capacities to stop supplying water if they don't pay up, this can only happen if we first walk out of this treaty.Peregrine wrote:Jits Ji :Jits wrote:I think you did calculation some where wrong, according to my calculation the amount India gave to pakistan was US$ 5.8 billion and not 5876 billion. TLP announces another march on Islamabad

Sorry, TLP is not "protesting" rigged election. ! TLP is "after" Holland for "disrespecting" PBUHISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has announced to march on the federal capital on Wednesday, with the demand that Pakistan sever diplomatic ties with the Netherlands over a controversial cartoon contest by a Dutch politician.Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, TLP leaders -including Khadim Rizvi – said they would stay on the roads until either the cartoon contest is stopped or Pakistan expel the Dutch ambassador and calls back its envoy from the Netherlands.

Imran's "Human Rights" "Minister" ( Jalebi) should make "due note" and do the needful !“Call back your ambassador and expel the Dutch ambassador from Pakistan,” Rizvi asked the governmen

Will a Fauji Maj General distribute "rupee notes" to the protesters when they reach IslooHe said mere condemnation was not enough at this stage. He said the march would start from Data Darbar on August 29 and would stay in Islamabad until their demands are met.

Khadim and his followers are now "emboldened" by their recent "success" in the election !.“We will reach Islamabad and then decide the next plan of action. We can be martyred or arrested, but we will not return until either the cartoon contest is stopped or the Dutch envoy is expelled,” said Peer Afzal Qadri.
Rizvi should get in touch with the Head Honcho Of Saudia ASAP , if he does not mind "supping" with a Wahabi instead of a BarelviHe said their march would be peaceful and the government would be responsible for the consequences if it tried to stop them by force. The TLP says it will be a ‘decisive’ march. Qadri also urged the Muslim world to play their role in stopping the controversial cartoon contest.

Based on his first "victory", Rizvi wants to repeat a second now !The TLP had held a protest sit-in and blocked the Faizabad interchange in Islamabad for almost three weeks in November 2017 over the issue of Khatm-e-Nabuwat.The 21-day-long sit-in by the TLP at Islamabad’s Faizabad Interchange had forced the government to accept its demand to sack law minister Zahid Hamid, who, the protestor accused, was responsible for a controversial change in the oath of lawmakers avowing finality of prophet-hood.
Hilary Clinton had warned the Pakis that snakes nurtured in the backyard may come to haunt them in the future. She was of course referring to the likes of TTP. Now the same scenario is applicable to TLP ( mainstreamed by the Deep State to "injure" Ganja and his PML N !) . The chickens are coming home to roost. Again !The sit-in ended after the army brokered a deal between the clerics and federal government in the wake of a botched up government operation to remove the sit-in.

The total nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Sweden is over $601 billion, twice that of Pakistan!
(Just like pakhanistan, the logic goes...) Sweden was also hit by a deep financial crisis in the early 1990s. Banks became unstable and two were nationalized, unemployment rose rapidly, government spending got out of control, and so did Sweden’s national debt.
Also, Swedes look just like us onlee.(Just like pakhanistan, the logic continues...) But by pursuing inventive and courageous reforms and sticking to them, Sweden has transformed its economy and stayed strong in the face of the new global recession.
