On the other hand looks apart from JEM cadre why would PAF send 16 fighters plus 8 escort to strike a Brigade HQ. Unless the some senior Pakistani officers have died on 26 Feb 19 attack?
P.S Other fighters did not release their R-27, R-77 or MICA?

Pakis being Pakis, they will try to do some mischief tonight or tomorrow to embarass us. Like they tried to violate our air space today morning.

That should be the trigger for punishment even if it is winds of de-escalation for now.

Austin - you don't know that, so best not to speculate. a senior officer like a wingco is unlikely to make a rash 'maverick' decision. lets wait for the full story to come out please

I am not sure about de-escalation. India made sure that wingco release is a separate issue from terror. I guess we will wait till tomorrow and then any further steps will be taken.

there are 2 pipe lines.. one for gas and one for oil.. just a cursery search in google gave me this link for oil pipe line.. I heard about oil one in a seminar in turkey in 2016..

https://pakobserver.net/fwo-gets-noc-fo ... o-kashgar/
https://www.fwo.com.pk/news-info/latest ... ne-project

Saar details are important ...
I asked for "being built" and you answered with some links where the first thing that caught my eye was
“Yes, we received the FWO’s proposal seeking permission to go ahead for most difficult project some weeks back. We brainstormed the proposal and ultimately extended the NoC to FWO to initiate the feasibility of the project and arrange financing with collaboration of other Chinese companies and execute the project,” a senior of official told Pakistan Observer.
The same project was earlier floated by the Zardari government in 2008, but Chinese government opted to stay away from the project arguing the project is itself is just like a (Mission Impossible) as it involved the difficult terrain, mountains of Himalayas with over 15,000 to 20,000 metres high through which the oil pipeline will pass requiring the high technology and ultra pumping stations to keep pushing the oil flow up to the most elevated area of Kashgar.

See saar, no oil pipeline "being built" and the Chinese themselves are dubious about the feasibility. All in your link saar. At least read what you yourself post saar.

Also it was a close call on the loc. Probably he wouldn't have realised the fatal mistake of crossing the loc

Ideally at the Indian High Commission, like (the then) Flt. lt. Nachiketa

Captured in conflict: The case of Flight Lieutenant Kambampati Nachiketa

The Indian High Commission in Islamabad was advised that Nachiketa had been captured and under custody. A few days later Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif grandiosely announced that as a gesture to India, he was releasing Nachiketa to enable him to return to India. Barely an hour later, I received a call from a senior official in the foreign office that Nachiketa would be handed over to me in the Foreign Office. Sensing that something is more sinister in the offer, I probed him and was told that Nachiketa would be handed over to me in the Jinnah Room, where large gatherings including members of the media were invited. I told the Pakistani official that it was evident that it was obviously their intent to make the Prisoner of War the object of a media spectacle and would therefore not attend any such event. The release had to be in accordance with provisions of the Vienna Convention and there was no question of I attending any such function. I said that we could arrange to receive in an environment free from any media presence and preferably in the High Commission. I insisted that in accordance with with the Geneva Convention, Nachiketa would have to be accompanied by the officials of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).I informed Brajesh Mishra, the then principal secretary to the prime minister, of what I had done and asked the High Commission’s air attaché Air Commodore Jaiswal to inform the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AY Tipnis, about the reasons why I had refused to attend a ceremony to release Nachiketa at the Foreign Office. I told them it was quite clear that they were proposing an event, which would be humiliating for an officer of the Indian Air Force as it would be made out that the officer had been forced to surrender. Both the principal secretary and the Air Chief endorsed what had been done. Just as the sun was setting on that day, officials of the ICRC brought in Nachiketa to the High Commission. An hour later Prime Minister Vajpayee called him on phone to welcome him back, while thanking him for his services to the country.

1. Such situations can happen again i.e. IAF will need to fight over Pakistani airspace. At some point, someone will get shot down.

2. The reverse can be true. Unless PAF decides to never cross into Indian airspace, they can expect their pilots to be in Indian hands at some point. Their pilots too need reciprocity. It won't be a one way street.

My guess... we would have threatened to release detailed footage of the Balakot raid publicly if the WingCo was not released immediately. They would have figured it more important that the Balakot footage not released.

No, they wouldn’t trade in their bargaining chip for a promise from the GOI to not release footage.

Nope, this is unadulterated fear of what is about is to come — like a strike on their coast or a blockade — not anything that is already past.

RJAF aircraft - Royal Jordanian Air Force?

https://quwa.org/2016/07/04/jordan-put-15-f-16ab-mlu-sale-pakistan/

In 2014, Jordan sold 13 (or 14) F-16A/B Block-15 Air Defence Fighter (ADF) units to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The RJAF F-16s for sale this time are not ADF units, but complete MLU types, i.e. they are equipped with the same subsystems (e.g. Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, Link-16, AN/APG-68v9 radar etc) as the MLU F-16s in service with the PAF.
