After kujli and Tharoor, another closet sanghi ousted! It didn't take long for folks to realize. As it is stated in the scriptures, realization happens fastest in Kaliyuga.
This recently ousted closet sanghi had more to say ..

Jairam Ramesh: I don't understand what Shaheen Bagh people are protesting about. Are they worried that their citizenship is going to be taken away from them? That's a legitimate fear. Then they should agitate against NPR, NRC. Why are they only agitating against CAA?
This one has quite a few peacefool responses!

The recently ousted closet sanghi goes further ..

Nehru's traditional house in Delhi was burned during 1857 mutiny, it was suspected by the mutineers that he was with the British (you can also find evidence of just the contrary). But hold that thought and go with that the Nehrus (that would be JLN grand father and great grandfather) were in good books of the Britishers.
They shifted to Agra, and Motilal's brother there became a very successful lawyer (I leave it to the judgement of the reader to think that to be a successful lawyer in British court, do you have to be competent and upright or it could be that if you were loyal to them, we have examples for both). Motilal followed his brother's footstep and became a bigger successful lawyer, earned very big. So much that JLN's cloth went to Switzerland for dry cleaning (as India had no such facility). MLN was Congress head for two terms and was part of many agreements where he would support Britishers right to rule India only if they gave this or that liberty (dominion status etc. or commissioning of Indian officers, British anyways did not have so many men to officiate IA and live in India). He was very much opposed to all leaders that wanted outright independence and (this is per official JLN/IG/Romila Thapar approved history) would every now and then sabotage outright independence by joining this or that British led initiative (in name of Ahimsa, or practicality..). MLN had many many british friends and neighbors in Allahabad. Many of these tutored young JLN. JLN in his childhood had more friends that were much more fairer than him ,than who were not fairer (and he was quite fair by Indian standard)
His son, one Jawahar Lal Nehru found a very easy life, being son of one of the richest person, a very successful lawyer and politically well established individual. It is alleged that though JLN was himself a lawyer, he never fought any case (he had enough money, so fighting a case for a living was not an issue).
Due to JLN great talent (that had nothing to do with his father's wealth, or his father being congress head twice, or his friendship with Britishers (or as alleged their agent), he soon found himself heading congress (just like talent of Shri Sonia Maino Gandhi and shri Rahul Gandhi have seen them heading congress). By that time, it looks like India would gain independence (WW1 had sapped Britain power, while later WW2 would completely destroy it), somehow JLN was always found to be at the right place, right time. Sometime leading resolution for independence only later to be compromised to self rule or this or that.
He was very keen to give away 1/3rd of India (with a heavy heart of course, if you were weighing it at that time), the right states (Chittagong - so that NE did not have sea access), J&K so that India would not touch USSR or not intervene in Hyderabad so that it can remain independent and encourage other 500 princely states to remain so or later demand so.
Like his history one can claim that he wanted JK with India, and when India was winning it mysteriously took it to UN (just like he and his dad would advocate full independence and then readily agree to a compromise).
Since JLN's childhood, he had more British friends, companion and acquaintances than he had Indians one. He had read more British literature and knew English better than he knew Indian Literature or any other Indian language. His understanding and appreciation of religion also followed the same pattern, more appreciation of alien faith and ridicule of the native. (The instance of him slapping some very renowned ascetic are quite famous). Yet by some miracle, as per congress pasand history and historian, he was the greatest Indian to have lived, who won us independence and produced daughter, grand kids, great grand kids , and grander after that who are still serving this country!!

Excellent post!!!

There is some evidence that Gangadhar Kaul (great grand father of Nehru) came to Anandpur Sahib along with Pandit Kirpa Ram Dutt in the court of Guru Tegh Bahadur. After the martyrdom of Bhai Mati Dass, Sati Dass, Bhai Dyala ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur., he continued the service of Guru's family as a cook.

He (Gangadhar Kaul) also known as Gangu., was the person who took the young kids (5 years and 7 years old) to Wazir Khan of Sirhind for money. Both kids attained martyrdom without converting., and Gangu was made "Kotwal" of Sirhind.
Then Baba Banda Singh Bahadur attacked Sirhind and Gangu along with his family escaped to Delhi and his son was made Kotwal of Delhi and since they lived close to a canal (aka Nehar) they changed their last name to Nehru from Kaul. Then escaping again to Agra and Allahabad., since in 1857 they were afraid of Sikhs (in 1857 British army had almost 70% of the soldiers from former Maharaja Ranjit Singh's army).

I think we need a separate thread on JLN (and all of Nehru lineage before him) to really understand what is going on. Whatever is the context at that time, still impacts us today big time.
When in 1857, the Indic side had won the fight (later they lost it), they were punishing British collaborators in Delhi, they also took action against one Gangadhara Nehru (who was supposedly collaborating with British). The contrarian argument made is that they were pushed out not because the freedom fighters evicted them, but the chaos that following the 1857 war of independence.

Thanks Bajwa ji. This context has to be understood. Also two prominent families, ones who facilitated General Dyer and another family that gave evidence against Saheed Bhagat Singh...they are mighty and famous today. Their connection with Nehru family (including relation through marriage), their continued hold on media and other leavers of power in today's India. Lets discuss that...
How come in this country the mother of revolutionary die in penury while the descendants of people who ratted them out enjoy power today?

Well humiliated may be too strong, but even Ravi Shankar Prasad said "we lost badly" to Rahul Shivshankar at TimesNow summit.

My larger point is that it was a loss. BJP and its supporters did want to win this badly to stem the BIF rot that was setting in. Didn't happen, but its OK, time to move on and concentrate on Bihar and WB

Hundreds of years of blackmail and plunder all over the world will be exposed unless some neutral/victim propaganda is continued but this time Indians got nukes made by scientists and not copied from China.

Gangadhar Kaul who came to Guru Tegh Bahadur along with Kirpa Ram Dutt was in 1674/75
Guru Tegh Bahadur ji attained martyrdom in 1675 along with Bhai Mati Dass, Sati Dass and Dyaldass.
Gangadhar Kaul aka Gangu remained with family of Guru Gobind Singh as cook and later retired to Morinda about 10 KMs from Chamkaur Sahib.
Khalsa was created on 1699
Pandit Kirpa Ram Khalsa (Dutt) attained martyrdom in 1705 December fighting at Chamkaur Sahib.
Sahibzadas with their grandmother (Mother of Guru Gobind Singh ji) sought protection of Gangu at Chamkaur.
Gangu took them to Wazir Khan in 1705 and was rewarded.
Sahibzadas attained martyrdom in 1705 December 24/25
He fled to Delhi in 1710 when Banda Bahadur attacked Sirhind and changed their last name at Delhi.
Banda Bahadur attained martyrdom at Mehrauli along with 780 Sikhs in 1716.
The later family became "Nehru" dropping their sirname of Kaul due to being afraid of Sikhs.

Gangadhar name has been very popular among Kashmiris and many generations of Nehru have used this name.

They were Kotwal of Delhi till 1810 when under Bhai Baghel Singh Dhaliwal and Jassa Singh Ramgarhia captured Delhi and forced Mughals to create 9 Gurudwaras in delhi., including Gurudwara Sis Ganj at Delhi Kotwali.

Around this time the Nehru family migrated to Agra., but were often awarded positions at Delhi under various Mughal kings. They later moved to Allahabad
They have always been afraid of Sikhs and thus 1984.

Nehru in his book Discover of India himself claimed that his ancestor was Raj Kaul who came from Kashmir to Punjab and then to Delhi.

I could never really forget this insidious TOI headline (dated 15 Feb). Twisted and shameful at just so many levels.
-almost exonerating Pak by suggesting that it is India which is blaming the terrorist country for no reason.
-calling a monster of a terrorist a "local youth"

Front page of Times of India one year back. Never forget that as our soldiers were being slaughtered in Pulwama, the Indian mainstream media was indulging in Valentine's Day foreplay with Pakistan.

No human being deserves to be called a termite. And, in case you have not noticed Bangladesh is now providing enough jobs for its citizens not to need to come here.

A small correction, @tavleen_singh ji. Amit Shah called Bangladeshi Muslim illegal infiltrators 'termites'. They are indeed termites, eating away our resources like jobs, houses etc! Don't call them 'migrants'!

That's the point, how do you think they're providing enough jobs? They have achieved this "feat" because they don't need to provide it to a large portion of their citizenry that is in India!

just goes to show how the darbaris, naukars, family retainers and house negroes are still deeply embedded in the govt even today. Three months after the Modi government withdrew SPG cover to Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, the family still managed to retain many of its royal privileges due to the devious connivance of the baboo(n)s.

Even after the withdrawal of their SPG cover, the Airports Authority of India and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security have been informally allowing the Gandhis to drive up to the aircraft.

Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka set to lose airport privilege

Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka set to lose airport privilege

By R RAJAGOPALAN
February 13, 2020

Three months after the Modi government withdrew SPG cover to Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, they are all set to lose another special status provided to them.

R Rajagopalan reports.

Like the rest of us, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will soon have to stand in queue at airports to board flights after going through the regular security drill.

Three months after the Narendra Damodardas Modi government withdrew the Special Protection Group cover to the Gandhis, they are all set to lose the special status provided to them -- of their car driving up to the staircase of the aircraft after bypassing the security check and boarding process.

This follows the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security flagging the Union home ministry the issue of former SPG protectees being allowed to drive up to the aircraft when the security drill of the Central Reserve Police Force and Central Industrial Security Force, which currently guards them, does not allow for this privilege.

Even after the withdrawal of their SPG cover, the Airports Authority of India and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security have been informally allowing the Gandhis to drive up to the aircraft, but when a vehicle of a former SPG protectee recently collided with another car near the aircraft, the airport security threatened to file an FIR.

Matters were sorted with the CRPF backing off, but the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security decided to ask the CRPF to ensure that their protectees submit themselves to the security drill.

Also, while Union ministers, the Chief Justice of India, former prime ministers and members of Parliament are subject to regular security drills before emplaning, the special status accorded to the three Gandhis was creating security and legal issues, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security decided, and decided to flag the Union home ministry its concerns.

If the home ministry, headed by Amit Anilchandra Shah, accept the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security proposal, the Gandhis will have to go through airport security and stand in queue with others passengers to board domestic or international flights.

When the proposal to withdraw SPG cover to the Gandhis was being discussed in the Union Cabinet there were apprehensions and divisions over the move, before it agreed to have the SPG guard only the incumbent prime minister and his family.

Shah argued in Parliament that even Modi will not get SPG cover after he demits office, before the House gave its approval to divest the Gandhis of special security cover.

Portugal President, who is in India says, "India is a global power, a superpower". It is after 13 years, any Portuguese President has visited India.

couldn't have been so easy for the guy to say this, especially when the portuguese had tried so desperately and illegally to hold on to goa and their other Indian colonies.

but now, it looks like the coin has finally dropped as portugal seems reconciled to its marginal economic, diplomatic as well as military status in the new era of globalization.

will he apologize for the goan inquisition or is he going to blame that on the vatican

Feb 13 Its 9 pm in India & Raisina is decked up for visit of Portugal President.

The Prime Minister of Portugal is of Indian origin (as is the PM of Ireland).

Antonio Costa made a state visit to India in 2017 and again in 2019.

I am deeply honoured to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas as a Person of Indian Origin and my speech at that occasion will surely be framed by my roots in Goa, of which I am very proud. I am planning to use the opportunity of travelling to Goa to visit my relatives who still live in Margão, where my father had his house. And I am also very moved by the fact that I will witness the presentation, in Delhi and Goa, of the English translations of two of my father’s books.

BTW, the Irish PM Leo Varadkar was in India during last Christmas visiting his ancestral village of Varad with his father. He did his medical internship in Mumbai. The recent Irish elections may see him as Leader of the Opposition.

notwithstanding, there is some rancour among the portuguese aam aadmi, generally the older lot about India as well a lot of goan xtians who are being fed the Hindutwa pap.

But a lot of them don't seem to be too perturbed about holding the secretly obtained portuguese passports while staying put in India and hanging on to their Indian passports as well.

both PMs of mixed Indian origin parentage may have expressed their personal opinions while in India trying to leverage their "Indianess" for their national benefit via business deals.

I doubt whether such sentiments cut much ice with their electorates back home where pushing this very "Indianess" theme beyond a point maybe more of a hindrance than an advantage.

Deconstructing Shaheen Bagh experiment in light of Delhi Election results

Deconstructing Shaheen Bagh experiment in light of Delhi Election results

14-Feb-2020
Ratan Sharda

Last 6 months have seen violence as a tool to unsettle the society, particularly Hindus. It is an idea found very attractive by Islamists, anarchists and and frustrated Marxists. This is bound to be used in coming days tellingly.

I was waiting for Delhi elections to get over before I deconstructed Shaheen Bagh (SB). I didn’t want it to be coloured by shrill vicious campaigning. A lot has been written and spoken about it. However, my interaction with many politicians and spokespersons of different hues during last few weeks during Delhi elections and subsequent to results helped me understand their mindset.

First let us first look at Delhi through electoral glasses. It is clear that voters discriminate between local, state and national elections clearly. Delhi proved it yet again, and it works both ways. Since 2013, Delhi has elected BJP in national elections but preferred AAP in local elections. The trend in other state elections too show this. Voter in Delhi seemed to have discriminated between national and local self interest. Opinion polls showed heavy support for CAA but same voters seemed to have put more faith in AAP on issues of Delhi as seen in opinion polls. A BJP supporter may not agree with this, but this is the truth.

This choice has other implications too. It is obvious that Indians prefer Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, but are ready to experiment with other parties if they are not happy with regional BJP leaders. It seems people have higher expectations from BJP and it is always under microscope while opposition can win by default even with poorer track record. It is funny that every local election is a test for BJP but not others.

Delhi, it is a small city state. I had said during election campaign that BJP should project a mayor for a city state. While opposition had a clear mayoral face with a solid vote bank, BJP wished to ride on central leadership. It was a major flaw. It started very late while Kejriwal launched his campaign a year ahead mostly with false claims that BJP never countered. BJP needed a campaign on city state with issues like CAA as an add-on to counter vicious propaganda.

Congress abdicated its role as the third biggest party that had ruled Delhi for 15 years till recently. Congress history tells us that wherever it has decided to abdicate its position, it has been relegated to the margins. Clearly Congress will no more be the centre piece of any opposition allliance. Arvind Kejriwal will try to usurp this position.

Shaheen Bagh blockade turned out to be a non issue. It may be a surprise for BJP leaders and a delight of left secular politicians. However it is a half truth. Shaheen Bagh was milked to the hilt for elections by left-secular communal forces. It was nurtured by AAP’s minister Amanatulla Khan. Enough electronic evidence is available, so none can claim it is fake. Yes, it didn’t matter for “majority” community as its voting % and results show. They preferred the comfort of free facilities over frightening scenario they witnessed in the name of CAA protests. Minority bought Islamist line hook line and sinker. We had Jekyll and Hyde in the form of Amanatulla and Kejriwal. Arvind had special largess for Muslim clerics while Hindus were fed hollow Bajrangbali slogans.

It is strange that many commentators see AAP win as a validation of SB sit-in. SB shows that with the willing media playing along, and a herd mentality centred around mosques and rabid organisations, an agitation can be propped up by misrepresentation of facts, falsehood and propaganda and find international echo too.

SB was a cover up to give a sheen of respectability to Jihadi elements who had let loose violence in the name of anti-CAA protests claiming it was against Muslims, that they would be thrown out of Indian. You could hear this uniformly from Kerala to Kanpur. No leader actually showed scared Muslims the CAA act copy. An act that had nothing against Indian Muslims was abused as anti-Indian Muslims. Their leaders knew well that its utter falsehood. To put it simply, anti-CAA axis wanted the hunted minority be given same facilities as the Muslim hunters from the neighouring Islamic countries. This agitation saw most poisonous hate mongering but critics blame it on BJP. Secular lobbies and their mentors haven’t changed.

While Jinnah was upfront, his successors of various shades have fine tuned strategy and exploited democratic rights, claim to love constitution even as they openly attack constitutional right of elected representatives of Parliament. Their insistence on Shariah confirms that democracy and constitution is to be exploited till they can control it. Due to adverse reactions to violence let loose in the name of anti-CAA, Islamist groups ably supported by Congress and Left brigade turned to “Tequiah” or speaking untruth in the interest of long term strategy of turning Dar-ul-Harb into Dar-ul-Islam. Those who had argued endlessly why they would not stand up for National Anthem, stood up. Suddenly Tricolour outnumbered Islamic flags. Actual intent was to over awe the majority community and put across their supremacist agenda very clearly. A few Hindus or Sikhs there were a smoke screen. Putting “shahada” in place of Ashok chakra, sloganeering about supremacy of Allah, Jinnah wali Azadi, open challenge to replace Constitution with Sharia, highly abusive video clips gave the game away. In fact the slogans raised in SB were the same used by Kashmiri Muslim hoards in 1990s. When one asks them what is anti Indian Muslim in CAA and which country in the world doesn’t have NCR of some kind or the other, they fail to answer. Then they talk of intent and fear, which they have created. It is use of Tequiah by toxic mixing up facts vs sentiments.

What is sinister about Shaheen Bagh Model is the Islamists and Marxist nexus. JNU crowd openly supported them. Jamia Milia was there. Most rabid Muslim party with a name like Majlis-e-Ittehad-Musilmeen (MIM) claiming to be secular was guiding it. Secular of all shades, including Congress were cheering them on. These groups were so happy that the government didn't use harsh laws against them they began replicating it in other parts of India. Mumbai sit-in came up through MIM. There was nothing spontaneous about SB or succeeding sit-ins. The very fact that the SB people went home on the very day the elections were over, shows the intent of Islamist leaders. All anti-forces happily say now, privately, that CAA is good for their politics and SB is the way to bring down Modi.

Thus, it is not the end. Last 6 months have seen violence as a tool to unsettle the society, particularly Hindus. It is an idea found very attractive by Islamists, anarchists and and frustrated Marxists. This is bound to be used in coming days tellingly. With many friendly anti-Modi state governments, fomenting trouble and showing India as a highly disturbed nation will be easy. Chances of turbulence of last 5 years so far seen in Parliament and TV studios spilling onto roads in a wide spread manner are very high. Hindu society needs to be alert.

These lot are AAP sending its hit men to shoot bullets at Shaheen Bhag protesters, even the SHiv Sena was involved in this, basically make Hinduism not popular with the youth. Like Nithyananda these are nothing but paid Hit men.

When Hindus do something wrong BJP gets the blame but does not gets no credit. There are a lot of people who are willing to don Saffron clothes for vested interests and money.

Yes, we can stay in denial and not acknowledge a problem. That’s always an option. I guess “kapdon se pehchan na” doesn’t apply here.
