True nature of this JV coming to light! Reliance, with 0 aerospace experience, was just used as an entry point into India by the French. At the same time Reliance and its owners lines their pockets.Rakesh wrote:Dassault in talks to buy out Reliance stake in DRAL

You are forgetting 1 major point- Relience owned the land from days before 2014- something post land acquisition laws- Dassault would have struggled with. How did he acquire the land in which period nobody wants to go through.srai wrote:True nature of this JV coming to light! Hindustan Aeronautics Limited back on Rafale Radar, talks on for making jets in India

If additional orders are placed for Rafale — Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat hinted recently that 36 more fighter jets could be ordered within four years — a work share model could be worked out to manufacture parts for the fighter jet at HAL facilities.
IMO may be by next year they might ink the deal and then by 2024 they will deliver of next batch of Rafale.
"The exchange of traps and catapults of a French Rafale on Ike and a U.S. Super Hornet on CDG [Charles de Gaulle] not only displayed the versatility of each country's naval air power, but was a striking visual of comradery in arms of two great powers at sea," said Capt. Trevor Estes, commander Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3. "The Battle Axe team was honored to execute the first trap by a Rhino aboard the CDG and more importantly, extend even further an already strong allied relationship through inter-operations in the skies over the Mediterranean."
"The dual-carrier operation represents a high-end interoperability showcase for our two navies," said Rear Adm. Marc Aussedat, commander, Task Force 473. "It is a concrete way to enhance our know-how to operate together, amongst which a swift ability to plug, to share tactical information, to catch and catapult aircraft indifferently on either aircraft carrier and to couple our fighting spirits in a complex maritime environment for a wide range of actions alongside."
“Operating with Charles de Gaulle in the Mediterranean is a fantastic representation of the inter-connectedness between France and the United States,” said Capt. Kyle Higgins, Ike’s commanding officer. “It was truly an honor working together to facilitate the launching and recovering of our nation’s aircraft on our respective carriers, showcasing the similarities between our two sea-faring nations.”

His dad is saner , went to APJ during newclear deal for advice and supported MMSManish_P wrote:Correct.
And there was a very interesting article, posted in these forums, about how his dad didn't allow the coalition government of the day to scuttle the deal (and get it renegotiated) of the Su 30 MKIs by trying to bring in the bogey of corruption. And how ABV, George Fernandes etc were instrumental in back channel talks with him during that time.
