There never was much doubt about it. There is pre-1993 Shiv Sena and post-1993 Shiv Sena, the original Shiv Sena was after all Congress' creation to take on the communist trade unions in Bombay text mills and auto plants. Post Mumbai blasts and riots of 1992-93, and the split in Bombay underworld, Bal Thackeray positioned himself as this pan-India "Hindu leader" , a bogey they've been selling to gullible people for 3 decades now. Given the abysmal state of affairs in Mumbai corporation, SS is neither for marathas nor for Hindus, and they seem to sink to new lows with every passing day. Btw, i thought Rahul Pappuji Gandhi is the dumbest politician in India but no, i think that title should be reserved for Raj Thackeray, the way he manages to snatch defeat from every golden opportunity is a knack that not many have.

As for Su Swamy, a guy who's daughter is married to Salman Haider's son claims to be a "Hindu Hriday Samrat" goes to show how gullible we Hindus are..its a tragic-comedy that both the Thackerays and Su Swamy use the exact same cards in different ways to dupe people. The only difference being Shiv Sena atleast manages to win few seats, Su Swamy would not win a municipality election on his own.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today attached assets worth nearly Rs 60 crore of the Church of South India Trust Association (CSITA) in Bengaluru for alleged illegal transfer of land leased to it by the Defence Ministry.

The ED is a specialized financial investigation agency under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

In a statement, the ED said the attached assets are in the form of fixed deposits maintained and available with the State Bank of India and the action has been initiated under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA).

According to the ED, investigation was initiated on the basis of an FIR registered at Ashoknagar Police Station, Bengaluru, against the CSITA for allegedly “dishonestly” entering into an arrangement for transfer of the title of a piece of land measuring 7426.886 square metres belonging to the Ministry of Defence.

Kalyan who took deeksha at his house in the morning, claimed that the attacks on the Hindu temples have increased under the government of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state. He demanded that a retired judge should be appointed by the government to investigate the temple chariot burning. Kalyan said that if the government did not take swift action, he will approach the central government and request a CBI investigation in the matter.

What is Delimitation of seats

Delimitation is the act of redrawing boundaries of Lok Sabha and Assembly seats to represent changes in population. The delimitation committee’s decision is considered sacrosanct and cannot be challenged in any court of law.

Initially, when the Delimitation Committee was formed, the idea was to ensure equal representation of every segment of the population and also to ensure that no political party gets an advantage in the electoral process by ensuring that the geographical area was divided fairly.

Hyderabad Old City and surrounding areas are already delimited (unofficially) as Muslim constituencies, where MIM rules since decades. We can all see how that has turned out. They have become ghettos, and lagged behind rest of Hyd in urban development, health & sanitation. Only madarsas and goondagiri prospers there, and their only competition seems to be modern day Karachi. That's the model Zakat Foundation wants to replicate. Muslims should be the first one to resist this if they choose to pause and think.

Let me take you to step by step through the frustrations involved. For starters, you can’t just order 900 km of new highways in Uttarakhand. The prospective highway would cut through ecologically sensitive regions of the Himalayas. You would need an extensive environmental impact study as per our laws. All sorts of activists, foreign-funded NGOs and lobbies want their pound of flesh before we can start. In other words, see you in a few decades.

So what does the government do? There is a small loophole for small “civil works” that are less than 100 kms in length. So, in order to bypass the environment lobby, the Central govt first breaks down the single 900 km project into 53 different “civil works.” Imagine the loss of efficiency this causes and the bureaucratic nightmare this creates.

Not so fast. Do you think that “activists” will just let the government get away with this? The road will create jobs, economic growth and give us a strategic asset against a powerful neighbour.

This one time, can’t the activists just let it be? Of course not. This road project is in too much national interest to be acceptable to the NGO ecosystem of our well-wishers. And with an evil Hindu name like “Char Dham road,” how could we even hope for mercy?

And so the activists get together and sue. Their friend is the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) notification of 2006. The 2006 notification makes sure India can neither develop too much nor too fast. Otherwise, who would vote for…?

Well, the law is the law and the Supreme Court can only rule according to the law. This week, the activists have won in the Supreme Court. As expected. You can check the usual liberal mouthpieces. The usual suspects are thrilled that they have nailed the “lies” of Modi sarkar. They are salivating. They are celebrating. Everyone is happy. Especially China.

The Center had requested for a width of at least seven meters so that military vehicles could ply on the road. The request was denied. The planned two-lane highway is now down to a single lane.

At a defence panel meet today, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi questioned the supply of rations to the Indian Army. In the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence which was chaired by BJP leader Jual Oram, the Congress MP from Wayanad asked why there is a difference in food for jawans and officers stationed at the borders.

News18 journalist working on Congress beat Pallavi Ghosh had also taken to the micro-blogging site to announce that Rahul Gandhi would be raising the agenda on the difference in the diet of jawans and officers in the Parliamentary meeting today.

^ The timing is inconvenient, however this is a legitimate question. Going by prior history, I will not be surprised to learn that this difference arose from the need to have defense spending fund Congress party political machinery.
