The bolded organisation should be the most filthiest outfit which any one should be associated with it. They are strong in commie strong holds and have a reputation of working against any invention/movement which benefits people. Incidents at KL are the prime example of what SFI cadre can do, and how generations of youngsters can be brought up brain washed and damaging their country of origin. A bit surprised that they have a sizeable presence in KA. At least in cities like Bangalore, SFI is a joke. There could be a case of peacefools masquerading as SFI cadre (as their end goals are the same).
yes. recall their obscene caricaturing of the indian parliament & nat'l anthem some years back, & the 'blasphemous' drawings of Hindu symbols publicly in KL a couple of yrs back.
sadly the pest arrested from SFI is a dhindu, some 'srikanth'. some of us really rue why MAD combine, for whatever reasons, didn't initiate a thorough pest-control drive to cleanse off the bhoomi of these pests, before starting systemic reforms. perhaps atleast the good-for-nothing but bad-for-everyone-everything kaampanthi-orgs could've been banned from colleges & may be pol sphere, as it was a given that these termites would attack & try to stall any good move. could've popularised history-bits like EMS's statement about "using indian constitution to subvert the indian democracy from within" types, their attacks on Netaji, etc. i admire how philippines handles them.

It’s quite a fall. Totally unnecessary. I am sure it can be reversed. However their competition is no longer literally starving Indians. The competitive is stiff. Actually it is formidable. But they need to make Panjab attractive for manufacturing, for services and skills. It’s barely out of the 1960s with massive subsidies for crops that either rot or go into storage.

Some get offended when I state the obvious: Panjab needs 21 st century skills. government subsidies are holding it back by making agriculture low risk.
I visited Punjab/India a couple of years ago from London.
My observations were:

Lot's of food is produced.
Grain storage is primitive
Food processing industries are few & far between
Over use of chemical herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers ( and a massive cancer wave that is slowly emerging)
Drug/alcohol dependence - which in my view is a result of despondency and hopelessness stemming from lack of employment.
A lot more major roads seem to have been built, but connectivity from villages is not good, I witnessed a washed out/collapsed road being rebuilt by villagers.

Life in the villages was pretty much the same, a slow pace. A lot of people from the villages had left to work abroad and were sending money back, which was used to build large houses or start small shops.

I am not from a rich well to do family. My cousins husband farms 3-4 acres. I asked him if he enjoyed it, he said he hated it ....."but what else can I do??"

My view was that the education system at the very basic level, had to be reformed. The youngsters quite literally had no skills, they literally could do nothing beyond laboring in the fields or construction sites.

One of my cousins when he was a child, wanted to be a truck drivers, he is now a wood cutter !!!!!!

Schools need to provide vocational training. Carpentry, metal work, jewellry making, handicrafts, design. Phulkari. Engine maintainence.

In Punjab there is the additional problem that the evangelicals are wreaking havoc in the villages, this will continue unless these issues are resolved. I discussed this with a land owner and his view was to the effect "who cares what religion "they" believe in, "they" will still have to work on "our" fields!!!"

"They" and "our" were very obvious reference to caste.

I have started a furniture making course in the UK and I intend to pass these skills onto people in my little patch of Punjab. I have also offered to pay for Embroidery & Phulkari training for the ladies.

A change in mindset and education, along with training will change Punjab and India.

Why do we need a executive brand at all if the activist judiciary takes it upon themselves to approve or disapprove bills passed by the legislature ? Incredible they see no problem with people blocking access to the national capital for weeks. Congress has set such a dangerous precedence, sure BJP is toothless and does not have organizational ability today, but someday when Congress is in power some other able opposition can easily muster up 50k people to squat on the highways demanding roll back of x,y,z acts just because they don't like it.

In other news TMC refuses to release 3 IPS officers called back by the center on central deputation. These 3 officers were accused by center of negligence by allowing TMC goons to attack JP Nadda's motorcade . How hard is it to strip them off their ranks and hold their pensions ? Why is it not possible to arrest such errant officers the minute they step outside WB ?

‘He was killed’: Why nurse, who served at Sant Baba Ram Singh’s dispensary, is questioning ‘suicide’ angle after he ‘shot himself’ at farmer protest

17 December, 2020
OpIndia Staff

On December 16, reports suggested that a Sikh Priest identified as Sant Baba Ram Singh allegedly shot himself at Kundli, near the Sighu border. The 65-years-old priest in a purported suicide note said that he was pained to see the farmers’ plight. Kundli police station SHO Ravi Kumar said that his associates stated he shot himself with his licensed pistol. “He stated in a given statement to the police that he died by suicide. Our probe is on,” he said.

Questions raised by the nurse who treated him
While talking to anchor Aman Mohan Mohyal in his program ‘Hello Punjab’ on Hamdard TV, a caller identified as Amarjit Kaur from Chandigarh raised questions over the circumstances of priests’ death. During the call, Kaur said that she is associated with Sant Ram Singh for a long time. She said that it is impossible that Sant Ram Singh can commit suicide.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neSm_Ei ... e=emb_logo

“Handwriting in the suicide note is not his handwriting,” said Kaur
Kaur further said that the handwriting on the suicide note that is being shown in the news reports does not match the handwriting she has seen. Amarjit Kaur said the person who encouraged people to come out of the problems and stay strong in life could not commit suicide. She said that he used to tell people that committing suicide is not an answer to anything, and they should not do it.

Kaur had worked in the Homeopathic dispensary in the Gurudwara at Nanaksar Singhra for four years. During her tenure at the dispensary, Sant Ram Singh used to come and meet the staff. He used to write down a few lines of Gurbani on a notepad every time he visited them. She said that the notepad is in possession of Bhai Praamjeet Singh, who is the head of the dispensary.

Someone has shot him: Kaur
Amarjit Kaur alleged that someone must have shot him. She said she could not say what could be the reason, but she was apparently sure that someone must have shot him. During the conversation, she kept insisting that Sant Ram Singh was strong enough not to kill himself and writing in the suicide note does not match his handwriting. When Mohyal asked Kaur who could be behind the death and if the government could have conspired against him, she said that that she said that government is not behind the death, but one of the members of the Gurudwara could have done it.

He never had a pistol in his possession
Though his followers stated to the police that he had committed suicide, Kaur claimed that Sant Ram Singh did not have a pistol in his possession. She further added that he was never left alone by his followers and guards. She said it is hard to believe that he found time to write down a suicide note but could not sign it. Kaur said those who were accompanying Sant Ram Singh could have stopped him from committing suicide. It is hard to believe that no one stopped him. Kaur also raised the question of why Sant Ram Singh was taken to a hospital in Panipat and not in a hospital nearby.

“He would have shot himself on the stage and martyred himself for the cause,” claimed Kaur
Amarjit said that if he wanted to kill himself for the farmers’ sake, he would have done it on the stage in front of everyone to make a stronger statement. She said,” Even if we believe that he had shot himself, he would have martyred himself and not committed suicide. There is a difference in suicide and become a martyr.” She added that committing suicide is a sign of weakness. Sant Ram Singh was there to encourage the farmers and not to make them weak.

Disfigured Ek Omkar
Suicide note of Sant Ram Singh (Image:Aaj Samaaj)
Another point that was raised during the conversation was the disfigured Ek Omkar on the top of the suicide note. Both anchor and Amarjit said that it looks suspicious and different from the handwriting of the suicide note.

I will never understand this guy's angles and his agenda. I don't know what gripe he has now with the Tatas winning a transparent bid to build the new parliament building or being a bidder for 'Air India' which was built by scratch by the Tatas before Indira Gandhi expropriated its assets.

Mulayam: Hindus needed to be gunned down to win trust of Muslims.

Something that every one has been doing for centuries. Even during GJ riots, gun firing in Hindu areas was many times more than Muslim areas.

You are hardly an uneducated one. just inopportunely linguistically challenged.

The head line reads
Mulaym: To win the trust of the muslims it was essential to open fire upon the Hindus.
You can easily imagine how the rest of the article reads.

so many lives destroyed and so many families torn apart because this "human" excrescence wanted to win the "trust of muslims" for electoral gains

A pox upon his miserable house. This was how appeasement was done by many mulayam type politicos before Modi arrived on the national scene.

The SC has merely 'asked' the Govt if they would be open to the idea of delaying the implementation of the laws subject to being a mediator between both sides. The AG has asked for time to consult the Govt to seek their stance. Let's not jump to conclusions on the basis of headlines which are often misleading.

For one, it will dwindle the blockades in weeks to come if the govt stays the implementation for a few months, we've waited 3 decades, a few months won't make a difference. Secondly, it will allow the electorate at large to see through the agenda of the protesters, if they refuse any mediation, it becomes clear they are not prepared to walk half way and are maximalist. You don't want to set a precedent for the future when there is a non-BJP led govt, CAPF are let loose on protesters.

plus, his car's driver conveniently excused himself from the spot before the victim 'shot himself'..
and, in 'his' supposed note, apparently he didnt explicitly state that he is killing himself. wrote some poetic lines afaik.

ofcourse we all knew something like this would eventually be played if, rather *when* the agitation is seen to be losing steam (recall the live suicide of a rajasthani farmer in pAAP's rally after the goading of pAAPiyas & kumar bakwaas's finishing touch with "ho gaya?!"). already about 12 people at the site are said to have lost their lives (of natural causes), one among them a 37YO who died of cardiac arrest being explained as due to cold. poor guy was sleeping outside in the bitter cold, notwithstanding the 6-month worth 'stellar arrangements' that the union waalas claimed to have arrived with.

What's wrong with him? He was always a bit off but lately he's been very erratic. I expect he will start praising Sonia Gandhi and calling her the new Amma.

If the Govt climbs down now (or "hold off" on the Farm Law implementation), then it will come across as being toothless. First CAA, now this (not to forget Sterlite protests etc). The #BreakingIndia forces would've tasted blood twice and would have finally found a formula that works.

Did the govt. back down on CAA? As far as I know - not. In what way did the BIF taste blood on that one?

The rules are yet to be formed for CAA, no one has benefited from it yet (a 104 yr old Hindu immigrant from Bangladesh recently died in a camp in Assam after waiting for decades for a day when he would become an Indian citizen before his death) and the current government does not have endless time on its hands before allowing the very people it wants to protect to benefit from the CAA. The Shaheenbagh and CAA riots may not have reversed the laws but the engineered movement by BIF ensured the path to any reforms will henceforth be paved with riots, blackmail, endless protests and disruption of business and daily lives of people who live in DL. They are continuing the same with the farmers protests, and they'll do it over and over again. For the Supreme Court bench given the endless supply of legal and constitutional experts they have at their disposal, it should have been easy to see there is nothing unconstitutional about the farm bills, and asking the government to delay its implementation or make changes falls outside the purview of the judiciary. More interestingly they had nothing to say about people blocking all access to Delhi for almost a month now but said its a constitutional right to "protest". Ofcourse, protests and freedom of expression , freedom to dissent must be allowed in a democracy but not at the cost of millions of other citizens who's lives are now miserable because of the blockade.

In 2007/08 when Iftikhar Chaudhry's dismissal started widespread protests by lawyers and other organizations across Pakistan finally culminating in Musharraf resigning, i was afraid that our unelected kings in black cloaks too will indulge in more activism and exceed the boundaries of judiciary and breach into legislative and executive . It has increasingly been the case over the last few years where the judges want to dictate everything from agricultural policies, economics, religious interpretation and sometimes even defense .

^ Thanks, yes, actual implementation of CAA has been lagging.

As for the SC having something to say on the siege of Delhi - when are Delhites going to say something on that? They seem perfectly ok with it.

Interesting that you specifically say "lives of people who live in DL." Which makes me wonder - would such a siege (I think more people need to start using that word in this context) work in any other Indian city? I'd think there would be counter-riots.

Was there ever such a siege of Delhi in the past? If so, need to start highlighting the similarities. If not - need to highlight that, in the past millennium or so, with all the invasions that India has faced, this is the first time DL has actually been laid siege to. Either way, need to rub it in to a lot of people, that this is a serious situation.

DL is chosen
1. For optics - Direct challenge to the PM etc.
2. For AAP biryani - AAP is running out of freebies to give to hold on to power or do drama around
3. There are only a few states that are commie/Congi to whip up frenzy
4. Lutyens gang is well established to show up quickly and try to make headlines DL police bad, Gov bad etc.
5. Once this siege formula is perfected it will be tried on similar traffic choke points

I don't know if the PM and the security agencies fear another round of riots are imminent in the name of farmer protests, Modi was on TV yesterday with folded hands to allow the farm reforms to take place and assuring farmers of continued MSP support. He said the reforms are a result of 30 years of deliberations by various political parties with agricultural experts, farmers, economists and not a decision taken in haste. He also pleaded the opposition parties to take all the credit for the reforms as liberating the markets was always a part of their manifestos as well.

Looks like 1947 pretty much all political outfits in India actually had extra territorial loyalties. Bandit-ji and company was more pro-British and was acting like an orderly for Mountbatten where as the commies were pimping for Russia and then later China. In fact even the split of CPI and CPI(M) was not based on problems in India but based on who was the better stooge for the Chinese. As a country with a distinct civilization I often wondered how we managed to stay afloat all this while with the biggest turn coats always originating within the country and from the Hindu religion itself.

I think it is more of a good cop - bad cop show. The Good cop is Modi who is appearing on TV and pleading with the citizens, and the bad cop A.Shah busy working on the sidelines to expose the financiers of the protestors and the anti-national elements. There was a report yesterday which was mentioning that intelligence agencies have started tracking down Khalistanis, Peacefools etc. who were behind these protests. Spoke to a few chaps in New Delhi - who even had to travel from Noida to Gurgaon side. As per them, there are no problems in the movement of people and no L&O issues.

I find the latest dispensations proximity to Israel at a military and strategic level to be very problematic.
It is a one sided love affair. Culturally they have been attacking us globally and view us as a threat. We need to be balanced and objective.
This mindset is problematic.

And boy oh boy is the right wing media deluded
This one is drawing on the butterfly effect so somehow connect this move to an anti China

https://swarajyamag.com/world/explained ... -for-china

All their factories and investments are in China. One of their Mahants created that strategic pact with China.

This shows us how rapidly they can create and legitimize a country. We should be worried.
I really don't know what your problem with Jews and Israel is. I know quite a few Jewish people and they/we get on fine with the Indian community.

1/ "As it is this group is forming enclaves in Uttarakhand and neighboring mountain zones. We all know what happened when they last formed enclaves"

What happened and how are these so called enclaves a threat ?

2/ "I find the latest dispensations proximity to Israel at a military and strategic level to be very problematic"

They are very friendly to India/Indians. They were never persecuted in India and have never engaged in conversion/conquest activities.

I believe they supplied satellite intelligence in the 1965/71/99 wars.
Arms/ammunition was supplied to India directly from their reserve stocks during the Kargil conflict.

3/"All their factories and investments are in China. One of their Mahants created that strategic pact with China. "

"Their" is that a reference to the nation Israel or to Jewish people ?

Overtime the can be persuaded to move them out. The Chins provided a better investment environment than India. India now needs to do the same.
Which "Mahant" and which "strategic pact with China" ???

4/ "It is a one sided love affair. Culturally they have been attacking us globally"

Please provide details

5/" and view us as a threat. We need to be balanced and objective.
This mindset is problematic."

Details please

6/ "This shows us how rapidly they can create and legitimize a country. We should be worried"

They created Bhutan ???
Why should we be worried, for what reason ?

You have made some tall claims and to be honest, they are paranoid gibberish.
Please explain.

It was a very eye opening experience.

I was asked by a couple of youths if I could help them. They saw me in the village and got talking to me and the conversation went like this

Can you give me a job?
No
Do you know anyone who can?
No
Do you a friend in business who could give me a job?
No
Can you help me come to England,Can you help me move to Europe, Can, USA, Aus, NZ,Can you help me move to Dubai/Gulf
No

They were really desperate, I felt so bad for them, there was nothing I could do.
I tried to explain to my cousin in my broken Punjabi, that the reality was that some would make it out, and maybe sponsor their families to join them, but most would not. Anti-immigration sentiments in the west are hardening.
It was really sad.

Some have been know to sell or mortgage what little wealth they have or to take loans to smuggle one son to the west.
I was intrigued by this, because if they were able to, if they had access to skills training, then they could set up a business and be near their families and have a little business.

Hinduphobia in Punjab ^^ https://www.uttamhindu.com/Politics/167 ... -in-punjab
Recently a Punjab BJP politician 'Dr Subash Sharma' wrote an article on attacks on Hindu religion in Punjab like: Burning of Shri Ram's effigy, Calling Diwali as Black day, Gau mutra jibes

Notice the hate he is getting on Facebook by some radical

they may already working out the details of their bangla channel

panic has set in and the ranks of the congis, commies, naxals and the lootyens neutered "intellectuals" are terrified at the thought of an independent media not beholden to or even amenable to control by them. The congis, NCP and the sonia sena have pooled their rusty weapons to take on this hugely looming and fast growing threat

this guy has thrived and blossomed in the most hostile of environments and is still at it, as combative as he ever was

one feels for the well being of all the nokku kooli professionals.

today is goa liberation day.

sharing couple of articles worth reading & circulating on whatsapp on the *portuguese excesses*. i emphasize on this point because usually on such 'days' we just remember the service rendered by the army & the focus on the reasons WHY an armed counter-assault had to be used, gets diffused. case in point, the just-passed anniversary of the bangladesh liberation war, 'vijay diwas'. most people remembered & shared the puki salwarmy's signing of the surrender document, and thats it. for this reason, to bring to focus the reason behind why indian army had to get involved, i personally shared the info of the plight of the east pukistani hindus & the r@p3s of lakhs of women on my whatsapp status wall, something to hit the discerning viewer hard.

in the same vein, here're some articles which i found while searching for an old rediff blog of an indian in portugal who was informed about the portuguese inquisitions in goa by a local portuguese friend of his...though couldnt find that blog now, but in the course found these couple of articles the snippets of which can be worth sharing with your whatsapp contacts esp friends-family & even more esp the fence-sitters among them:

https://m.rediff.com/news/2005/sep/14inter1.htm
('Goa Inquisition was most merciless and cruel' - by novelist richard zimmler)

https://m.rediff.com/news/slide-show/sl ... 130813.htm
('vasco da gama needs to be tried for crimes against humanity', by historian jbp more)

ofcourse several more articles/videos also can be found from people like shefali vaidya, francois gautier (also the museum of whom i had the good fortune of visiting atleast twice), etc.

To all Athirathi's and Maharathi's a foot-soldier's question:
PDM in Paxtan vs Shaheen bhag/Farmer strike
Do you think there is more than that meets the eye.
Is there an 'nebulous co-ordination' committee in a third country funding and co-ordinating these dharna's
Is it chini funded or western/soros funded??
The advantages/disadvantages to these groups(who are funding) from status-quo-ante!!!
