PESHAWAR, Pakistan/BEIJING (Reuters) -A blast on a bus killed 13 people in north Pakistan on Wednesday, including nine Chinese nationals in what Beijing said was a bomb attack but Islamabad called a vehicle failure.
Pakistan's foreign ministry said a mechanical failure caused a gas leak which led to the explosion.
https://news.yahoo.com/blast-hits-bus-n ... 39246.htmlHowever, the province's top police official, Inspector General Moazzam Jah Ansari, earlier told Reuters foul play was suspected. "Looks like sabotage," he said.
"Initial investigations into Dassu incident have now confirmed traces of explosives, terrorism cannot be ruled out, PM is personally supervising all developments, in this regard Govt is in close coordination with Chinese embassy we are committed to fight menace of terrorism together," he wrote on Twitter.
And then this happened (all in one day):His statement came a day after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told his Chinese counterpart that preliminary investigation into the incident revealed it was not a consequence of a terrorist attack
Qureshi had met Chinese foreign minister, Wang Yi. In the meeting, the statement added, Yi stressed the immediate arrest of and severe punishment for perpetrators in case the incident was a terrorist attack.
Yi urged for a probe into the incident and told Qureshi that "the Chinese side is shocked by the serious Chinese casualties in Pakistan today (what about the four momeens who were killed? No mention of those pakis?), hoping that the Pakistani side could quickly find out its cause, conduct rescue and treatment work at all costs, deal with the aftermath in time, and prevent similar incidents from happening again".
"...a terrorist attack, the criminals must be immediately arrested and severely punished"
Qureshi said China was Pakistan's "most important friend and most reliable partner, and China's loss is Pakistan's loss,"
"Pakistan will spare no effort to rescue and treat the wounded, thoroughly investigate the truth of the incident, lose no time in sharing the progress of the investigation with China, and do its utmost to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel in Pakistan," the statement quoted him as saying.
Wow! Just Wow! One scolding from the mai-baaps and the pakis turn turtle and start to bleat for forgiveness. This is one sold-out nation.Sources privy to the investigation said a Chinese national was missing and a search for his whereabouts was under way.
National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf has said Pakistan has not given an opportunity to the United States to demand airbases after withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Moeed Yusuf said it was quite logical that the US would be in search of airbases after withdrawal from Afghanistan. And then, he said, an article appeared in New York Times about this issue and Pakistan had to clarify its position. He said Pakistan’s position is that it cannot provide airbases to US.
Pakistan had to clarify its position on the issue.
He said after Pakistan’s clear position, no one from the US would come and talk about it.
He said the world should not consider Pakistan ‘free for all’.
Ah ha everybody missed out the most important part: "Pakistan is not free for all."anupmisra wrote:You have to give it to the pakis. They will conjure up a rationale for every failing.
Remember when the dimwit PM said - "absolutely not" to giving bases to the US? Then some witty reporter asked if the US has actually asked for any bases. The silence which followed this question was deafening. Of course not, no one had asked for any bases. How embarrassing for dimmy.
He said the world should not consider Pakistan ‘free for all’.
For the right amount (or threat) the pakis will pawn off their sisters and daughters. They were marrying off their daughters to the chinis. What can one say about a cult that can willingly and knowingly do this?Vips wrote:Give us money and we will happily give our air bases and also our mothers for R&R
The ball is in China's court now. It should demonstrate that it's a sweeter than honey friend to Pakistan by saying "Pakistan's debts are China's debts". Beijing, meanwhile, reacted sharply to the incident by postponing a meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) scheduled for Friday. The meeting was to be held through video link.
Mr Lijian said Chinese government was taking the incident, which resulted in heavy casualty, very seriously and the Communist Party and state leaders had given “important instructionsright away.”
Beijing has on multiple occasions in the past raised concern about the security of their citizens working on various projects in Pakistan. Islamabad has always assured China that protecting the Chinese was a national responsibility.
And, that's how a landlord-indentured laborer relationship is supposed to work.Since the bus tragedy, the security of Chinese engineers and workers executing development projects under the CPEC has been beefed up.
Hmmm...interesting angle you have here. What if the chinis paid off the local "insurgents" for this attack, blame the injuns, and as a consequence of it, they got full control of all security measures in PoK/GB including the right to station a few thousand troops?sanjaykumar wrote:Only Chinese have the right to slaughter Chinese. the Chinese don’t need to do all these things to get a base, if the Chinese just ask, the Pakis will run with a rent bill in hand for payment for the base.anupmisra wrote:Hmmm...interesting angle you have here. While that's true, a backup concocted reason to set up a base (a la Gwadar) always helps with the local selected parliament and the clueless natives. Also, it ensures that no natives are allowed in (s'coority reasons) unless they are willing to marry their d'aaters with chini conscripts.Vadivel wrote:the Chinese don’t need to do all these things to get a base, if the Chinese just ask, the Pakis will run with a rent bill in hand for payment for the base.
Before China complains about terrorism, they should realize Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism.sanjaykumar wrote:Only Chinese have the right to slaughter Chinese. Others beware.
Methinks these insurgents in KP urgently need a shipment of RPG's to more easily...err welcome the chini engineers traveling in their buses.anupmisra wrote:Fall out from the nine chinis getting hallaled and 28+ chinis being admitted to 5-star medical facilities in 'pindi is beginning to happen.

The cowardly terrorists behind this attack dare not show up until now. But they will definitely be found out and must be exterminated. If Pakistan’s capability is not enough, with its consent, China’s missiles and special forces can be put into action

Looking at the unusually sharp Chinese reaction, one can't help but wonder if the ever-suspicious Chinese think this to be a ISI plotted Op to get them to give more money to the Pak faujis for 'protection', while at the same time sending signals to the Americans of how they can use the services of Pak fauj, via it's non-uniformed proxies, to bring down the chinese (like how they did with the Soviets decades ago).

China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC), in a letter, states that they cannot continue work at the mega dam project after the July 14 tragedy. The company has fired all Pakistani workers, assuring them of payment of salary and gratuity.
The Dasu dam project director, Anwar-ul-Haq, has confirmed receiving the company's letter.
Nothing new. It is part of the baki hubris to make such worldly-wise claims. Yahya Khan made the same claim about East Pakistan.Rohit_K wrote:IM the Dim: "I know the history of Uzbekistan more than Uzbek people,”"

We completely reassure the Chinese government that these culprits, hidden hands and enemies of CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) and China-Pakistan friendship will never be forgiven at any cost.
The interior minister said that the two countries shared an "all-weather friendship" that could not be affected by such events.

Why go through so much pain? Chinese mijjiles are already with the Pakis. Why waste Chinni special forces, when Paki special forces are there for rent. Besides, don't we have the capability to shell all the way to Skardu from some of the mountains in Kargil? Why kill the Chinnis when Pakis are readily available as cannon fodder. Chinese would have done all this calculation before. My suspicions are slowly getting justified. This was a red flag operation with the support of the chinis to justify bringing in and stationing of chini troops in the disputed territory. The rest of the world will stand by and do nothing.
While the chini missiles are in the hands of the bakis, the difference will be that the chinis would then man those missiles. Officially. I agree with your second part where the local telebunnies of similar chini-psand group executed this attack.williams wrote:Why go through so much pain? Chinese mijjiles are already with the Pakis.
