A new paki narrative evolves. ISPR and its mentors are now presenting the tellibunnies as the shield against IS (ISIS).
Explainer: Can the Taliban suppress the potent IS threat?
The militant Islamic State (IS) group threatens to usher in another violent phase. Except this time, the Taliban play the role of the state, now that the US troops and their allied Afghan government are gone.
The Taliban promised the United States to keep the militant group in check during successive rounds of peace talks.
Taliban guaranteed that Afghanistan would not become a haven for terrorist groups threatening the US or its allies.
Historically, the majority of IS attacks have targeted the state ... Now that the US and the international presence is mostly gone, they need to go after the state — and the state is the Taliban
when it ruled territory in Syria and Iraq, IS was even more brutal and carried out more horrific punishments than the Taliban did
Note the three points the pakis are now pushing:
1. IS is the real threat (more violent than the 'bunnies)
2. Tellibunnies are the defacto "state" and will play a role as it contains its philosophy within the boundaries of Afghanistan
3. Shame on the US for not doing its job to prevent IS
And now this:
IS don't have access to safe havens in Pakistan and Iran.
Taliban have shown themselves capable of rooting out some IS cells, using their vast local intelligence-gathering networks.
Hard-line members of the Taliban could join IS as the Taliban leadership, now in power, has to make compromises whether at home or abroad.
The more the Taliban cooperate with international states, the more they run against the image of the mujahedeen resistance fighter.
IS has targeted Hazaras because most are Shias, killing hundreds in brutal attacks targeting their places of worship in what it calls a war on heretics.
So, its not the tellibunnies but IS cells that are responsible for the recent killings in afghanistan.
Bottomline that the pakis are using threats, doomsday scenarios and begging to shove down the west's throat:
1. Recognize the tellibunnies so that they can fight IS
2. Offer aid and material support (F16?)
3. Hey, why not use our (pakis) connections with the bunnies to supply the aid and material to the bunnies?
4. Here's a list of what we...er...they need.
